The band-width is insufficient to manage the conference

Here which is my problem.
I live in the Carribbean islands and with iChat, I try to communicate with my daughter who live in France.
I have a Powerbook G4 17", 1,5 G Tiger 10.4.3.
My modem is a speed touch home of Alcatel, I am on DSL, but I have the maximum which I can have here, they is 512/256.
With regard to my daughter in France, it has a iMac G4, 800mh, 17 "Panther 10.3.9, with ichat, of course and it is not limited by the characteristics of its connection DSL, which is very large.
Also, we wait to receive 2 webcam iSight units until we have just ordered on APPLE Store, and:
While waiting we carry out tests, with 2 video cameras DV Sony which function very goods in webcam mode on Yahoo messenger or Ispq, to quote examples.
Alas, we encounter difficulties on iChat.
What occurs you it?
- When, I call me from Carribbean towards France, I can obtain a sound connection of very good quality and higher than Skype?
Both very well are spoken.
But if she is her who triy to call me in vocal connection, the connection does not manage to be established.
After a certain time of tests of connection, it appears at - her place: .... disconnected from the conversation: The band-width is
insufficient to manage the conference.
And in this case, we cannot enter in connection, if she is her who calls me.
Me, to remember, I can call in sound connection at it without problem for the two people.
For the video, we also have the same anomaly which arises, but this time of the 2 dimensions, and neither one nor the other manages to do it.
It appears after a time of test of connection:
.... The band-width is insufficient to manage the videoconference.
Please, of what is it a question can you say to me, and how to cure this disadvantage?
thank you with all.

HI Pierre,
Which Island ?
Some smaale countries with one ISP/telephone Company block the 5060 port that iChat oand VoIP applications use to orce people to use the telephone for international calls.
Is that the USB (330) Alcatel modem ?
What ports do you have open in it ?
You can quite possiblly make outgoing calls but not accept incoming ones if the ports requiered are not open.

  • How to Find the band width of a Network

    Hi All
I have placed my WAS in the External network.I have communication with that server. Now i want to find the Band  width of that network.

    Hi Sunil,
You can use several online and offline(of course) tools to test the network bandwidth that you are in.
Please go through the following web sites for various such tools,

  • Bluetooth seems like working since last week and at the same time I can't manage the Wi-Fi

Bluetooth seems like working since last week and at the same time I can't manage the Wi-Fi. I have already restored.

This entire thing is a hair over four months old, I don't think it should be acting up this much. Plus, this problem happens only once out of every 40 or 50 times I start this thing up. It's very infrequent, but it's there, and it just bothers me, I guess.
That said, I would try reinstalling, but I wouldn't be able to tell if it'd worked unless the problem never cropped up again in a long, long time. Sadly I also don't have access to my OSX discs at the moment (I'm out of the country).

  • Changing the pulse width of a counter on-the-fly - ?

I'm seeing strange behavior when trying to change the pulse width of a
counter while it is running continuously.  Using the property node
I can set the DAQmx Channel Properties "Low
Time" and "High Time" when the values are
changed by the user (see attached VI).  The first change is
ignored initially, but then applied when a second change is made, i.e.
the changes are applied one step late.  If I read the respective
properties the values are what is set but not what is being
generated and seen on an o-scope.  I added a
condition of watching the property "Ready For New Value" before applying the
change, but that doesn't alter the behavior.  What am I missing?
    Windows XP
    LabVIEW 7.1

    Alan,
Thanks for the reply.  I don't know if I explained in well in my
previous post, but I'll try to confuse again: The issue is that the
property node change is reflected on the hardware (pulse output) one
change delayed.  Example: Start the VI with time value A.
The user sets the time to value B, the property node read for the time
will read value B, but the output pulse (hardware) stays at value
    A.  Then the user sets the time to value C, the property node read
is C, but the output is now B, and so on...
I've worked with the DAQmx Write, as the example you pointed to shows,
and it will work properly (reflect the change immediately on the
hardware).  If one replaces the DAQmx Write to a Channel Property
Node it will start working as I described above (change reflected one
change delayed).  Note: A subtle additional change is that I have
changed everything to Time (High, Low) instead of Frequency (Duty
Cycle,  Frequency) - ?.  Note 2: DAQmx Write doesn't bring
out all the properties - what if I have to use a property node?
Do I need to "double pump" the values?
    FWIW,
    Don

  • How do I monitor the Band-width usage with my RV 120W?

We are having an issue with accessing our SharePoint Sites over the Web and Microsoft Technicain wants us to capture band with usage. I am trying to findout if that is possible with the RV 120W. I have looked at the documentation and cannot find any info on doing this type of analysis.

    Hi Don,
Thanks for posting. I don't recall a way to monitor bandwidth with the RV120W other than Status ->Port Statistics.

    Hi JohnCEE,
There does not seem to be a free version of EasyCapture for the Lenovo T430 available for download at this time.
If this software was something preinstalled there is no way to recover it if it is not on the recovery disk.
You may have to use a version of this software provided from the developer’s website.

  • I want to adjust the column width of "From", "Subject" and "Date". in the AT&T email within Firefox browser

My computer runs under Windows Vista Home Premium, and Firefox browser 3.6.13. Within the Firefox browser, it shows an AT&T email window (www.sbc.yahoo.com). There are several columns such as subject, date, etc. I was able to adjust such column width before. Now I cannot do it. (Also I can adjust column width if I run in the Internet Explorer. I have another computer running Window 7 professional, same set up with Fire Fox and AT&T email, I am able to adjust the column width so I can show the full subject line.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:

You can also try to set the pref layout.frames.force_resizability to true on the about:config page.

  • How can I reduce the column width in a spreadsheet according to the text?

    Hi,
I added a spreadsheet to a pages document and now I want to reduce the column width so that it fits the content (text).
I tried it the other way around: I added very small columns and then chose the adjust-automatically-option in informations. This worked, the columns became broader and matched the text.
Now I got a lot of spreadsheets which columns are too broad. When choosing adjust-automatically just nothing happens. What can I do?
Sorry if this sounds a little weird, I'm using English seldom at time and don't know which words to choose to describe my problem properly. Hope someone can help me nevertheless?
    Sarah

    Hi Sarah,
In Pages, the table Autosize feature pertains to Row Height, not Column Width. Numbers has more Table sizing options than Pages does, so you might want to consider looking into doing your work in Numbers.
In Pages, there are slight differences in how tables behave depending on whether they are Inline or Floating. You might want to experiment with that. Long tables, however, must be Inline.

  • How to change the column width in Smartforms..?

    Hi All..
I need to change the column width in a smartform.
The requirement has been mentioned as follows...
Adjust the column width of the following columns:
    MATERIAL: 14 char
    DESCRIPTION: 20 char
    How to perform this..??
Where can i find the column width of various columns of a smartform..???
    Please Help me...
    Regards
    Pavan

In the SMART Forms, you would have created a Table object and specified the line width and divided that into no. of columns that you want, you have to mandatorily specify the width of each column so that total of column width will be equal to that of the line width.
When you double click on the Table object, you can TABLE tab on the right side. If you can't see the line / columns details, click on the DETAILS button.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Determine the best width for ListCellRenderer - Multi-column combo box

Currently, I am having a multi column combo box. In order for the column to align properly during show popup, I use box layout to do so. However, the short coming for box layout is that, the size for each column is fixed. This makes me have a difficulty, when I have a long string to be displayed. The problem is shown through the following screen shoot.
    http://i.imgur.com/4Nfc6.png
This is because in 2nd column,
    1) All the 3 rows must be in same size so that they are aligned.
    2) But 1st row and 2nd row cell renderer, do not know 3rd row is holding such a long string.
The code (2 files) to demo this problem is as follow. Is there any way the size of the cell will be adjusted automatically? Yet, all the row will be aligned properly.

Are these two lines intentionally or is it just a mismatch?
    jLabel2.setMaximumSize(new java.awt.Dimension(100, 14));
    jLabel2.setMinimumSize(new java.awt.Dimension(200, 14));
    2) But 1st row and 2nd row cell renderer, do not know 3rd row is holding such a long string. There is only one cell renderer for all rows, so no need for the rows to know each other.
To calculate the exact maximum width of column two, you have to check each entry.
If you can do this BEFORE creating the combo, you could do this in a loop similar to this pseudo code
    FontMetrics fm= jComboBox1.getFontMetrics(jComboBox1.getFont());
    foreach (column2String) {
      int length= fm.stringWidth(column2String);
      if (length>max) max= length;
}Now you have a max value to dimension jLabel2 in your renderer.
If you don't fill your combo in one go, but rather at runtime, you have to check at each
    jComboBox1.addItem(...)
whether the string for label2 is extending the current max, redefine max, and repaint the combo.
This second approach I haven't done so far, but that's how I would try.

  • Setting the cell width in a Tabular Form (SQL Query (updateable report) )

    version 3.2.1
I have a Tabular Form (SQL Query (updateable report) ) and I have a column that is a VARCHAR2(4000) that when displayed extends the cell to the full length (which of course makes sense).
How can I set the width of this cell to something like 30 or 50 and wrap the contents?
    Thanks,
    Joe

    Scott,
    Thank you for replying.
Your suggestion kinda worked. I say kinda because when the report is first displayed the cell is the full width and appears to ignore the width setting. There is a Select List on the report to restrict some of the data that is displayed. When a selection is made from this Select List, it appears that the cell width is then adjusted to what was set, but not for every selection from this Select List.
I made the width entry in Tabular Form Element - Element Width
Any idea why the width setting is ignored?
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • How fill the whole width of the screen on a phone

    Hi there
I'm currently makeing a small mobile page with Edge. I've set the project width to 640px to fit the iphone screen perfectly. However when ioad the page in Safari there are always a few pixels on the right side that are white. Optimally the screen should be fillesd out by default (also if it's used by a phone with another pixel-width). I've tried to work with the persentages to get some responsiveness going on but it just doesn't seem to work. The white pixel strip won't disappear.
Can anyone provide me a solution?
    Cheers!

Try setting a meta tag to the HTML page of your project before the <title> tag:
    <meta name="viewport" content = "width = device-width, initial-scale = 1 />
This will make it so your page fills to the width of the viewport.
Here's a good resource to learn more about mobile meta tags and how they can be applicable to your HTML projects

...Am I the only one who has edited a stroke with the stroke width tool, then outlined the stroke only to find a countless number of points ...
I also have noticed that too, for example using the width tool with the same width on all points and expanding on open path results in a lot more anchor points than expanding the same path with the same weight or offset.
    ... and noticeably unsmooth edges?
I haven't noticed that yet but creating paths with smooth anchor points are more smooth when created with less points, at least when I do it manually but if I use Object > Path > Add Points, or just click on a path to add points, I don't see loss of smoothness.

I don't know what your precision requirements are, may be an image example of what you are trying to achieve and what you are getting will help understanding you better but so far I haven't considered this as a problem and have used the width tool a lot in my work.

  • Where is the band Tool on iTunes?

I have been searching and searching for songs by the band Tool on iTunes. Why the heck isn't this band in the store? I thought they were pretty popular. Does anyone know any reason why they are not listed or have any information about it? Is there any way to ask iTunes to add this band? Thanks, ya'll.

It's up to the folks (artist, record labels, etc) who own the rights to the content to decide if they want to sell things on the iTunes Store. Oddly, not everyone wants to.
You can request music at the link below. No guarantees, though.
