The procedure entry point _StopSpying@0 coule not be located in the dynamic link library NiSpyLog.dll

When I try to use Ni Spy I receive the error:
The procedure entry point _StopSpying@0 coule not be located in the dynamic link library NiSpyLog.dll
Ni VISA 4.0
Ni Spy 2.0.0.16
Windows 2000

I tried reinstalling before I came here.
I got it figured out here was the problem.
This is a new instalation so I downloaded tha latest VISA (4.0) and NI-488.2 (2.4)
My GPIB controller (USB-A) was no longer supported NI-488.2 version 2.4 (but that's a rant for another day)
So I uninstalled version 2.4 and installed version 2.2.
It seems when version 2.4 was uninstalled it did not remove NiSpyLog.dll and when version 2.2 was installed it did not overwrite NiSpyLog.dll. Possibly because a newer version was already on the system?
I manually removed NiSpyLog.dll and reinstalled just NiSpy from the ni 488.2 version 2.2 package and it works now.

At face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
The recently released version of iTunes (11.1.5.5) included an update to Apple Application Support (AAS version 3.0.1). So it might be worth updating your iTunes to see if that helps with the apparent AAS/iCloud issue.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

  • I have downloaded CC because Elements 13 will no longer work only to find out that CC won't work either! The error message is "The procedure entry point crtCreateSymbolic in kW could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR110.dll - any thought?!

Can anyone help with the problems starting either Elements 13 or CC? Adobe are aware of the problems but offer no solutions.

Unfortunately it still doesn't work! Maybe I should give up on Adobe products and look for a different photo managing software. Adobe doesn't seem to be interested in offering support of any kind!

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
*Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop<br>https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.

  • The procedure entry point NS_Set DLL Directory could not be located in dynamic link library Xul.dll. Firefox 4 downloaded and used yesterday won't start today. Any answers?

I downloaded Firefox 4 yesterday. I used it and had no problems. I started my computer today and clicked the Firefox icon and got the message "The procedure entry point NS_Set DLL Directory could not be located in dynamic link library Xul.dll" .I tried to shutdown and restart and got the same message.I use Norton Security. Could it not recognize Firefox 4 and done this?

'''Edit: '''That was a lot of questions. You might want to just re-run the Firefox 5.0.1 installer to see whether that corrects what appears to be a mismatch of files. I suggest saving the installer to the desktop, restarting Windows to ensure that all file locks are released, and then running the installer. As always, you can download from here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
In your other post, you wrote "I just downloaded FireFox 5.0 today, and none of the icons on my desktop will open. This is the message that I receive. The procedure entry point NS_Set DLL Directory could not be located in dynamic link library Xul.dll."
Can you describe what happens in these different scenarios:
    (1) Start Firefox with its own program icon. Error dialog, but Firefox runs normally after you dismiss it? Or no error? Or Firefox won't start?
    (2) Firefox not running, double-click shortcut to web site on desktop. Error dialog but Firefox loads the page after you dismiss it? Or Firefox doesn't load the page? Or Firefox never loads??
    (3) Firefox running, double-click shortcut to web site on desktop. Error dialog but Firefox loads the page after you dismiss it? Or Firefox doesn't load the page? Or Firefox dies??
    (4) Double-click unrelated desktop shortcut. Does this give an error as well?
If you've noticed effects with links in documents or emails outside of Firefox, that could be a clue as well.

That one can be produced if you have an older version of Apple Application Support on the PC than is required by iTunes version 11.1.4.62. (The required version of Apple Application Support is included in the standard iTunes installers, but for some reason it hasn't been updating properly for some folks.)
Let's try updating your Apple Application Support to version 3.0 by doing a standalone Apple Application Support install.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, can you launch iTunes without the error now?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Download a fresh copy of Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html ) and do a reinstall of Firefox over the top of the current version.
If that still causes the same problem then do a clean reinstall.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing a fresh copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

    Greetings.
After installing the MobileMe Control Panel if received this nice error message once I started MobileMe. It took a while to finally resolve the issue and I am sorry to say that the MobileMe support didn't do quite well.
If you ever run into this issue, search you disk for icuin40.dll files.
If you have more that one, than uninstall the application that installed it. After that uninstall MobileMe Control Panel and iTunes (all components), bounce the system and reinstall iTunes and MobileMe.
Et Voilá! It works. Somehow the wrong icuin40.dll got registered.

  • The procedure entry point  cannot be found

I have downloaded a trial version of photoshop cs6 and cannot open the program. I get the following message:
The procedure entry point Get Logical Processor Information could be located in dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
    What does this mean?

Could you provide some details about your computer and which version of Windows are you using.
From the sound of it, it seems that it might either be an incomplete install or perhaps unsupported hardware. You could have a look the the Tech Specs just to be sure that your computer meets the system requirements: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
You could also try uninstalling the software, and then reinstalling.
