The sound on my laptop is all garbed, like a cassette tape being eaten. how do i trouble shoot that?
Would someone have any idea why my laptop sound suddenly sounds all garbled and how to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue?
I don't see how unregistering your old phone would have anything to do with the problems you're experiencing. For example, to download your past purchases (like TV shows), make sure you phone is logged into the iTunes account you used to purchase them (in Settings>Store), then open the iTunes app, tap Purhased at the bottom, tap TV Shows>Not On This iPhone. Your photos should already be on your computer since that's how you synced them to your phone so I'm not sure what the issue is there. Problems with an incorrect password could be caused by a number of things, including having the wrong password set in settings for your account (for the Incoming Mail Server, the SMTP Outgoing Server, or both), or if this is a gmail account it may need to be reset here:

The sound on my laptop is locked, cant plug in my headphone jack and there is no red light, The laptop is retina display and I am on panic mode.

I can't ncrease the sound on my laptop, the button seems to be ether stuck or not connecting
have tried to ncrease the sound on my laptop, when I bought the laptop was able to inccrease and decrase the volume. however, this last week I have been unable to do so, the button seems either to be stuck or it is not connecctong to the component inside to increase volume, as watch tv and films on the laptop this nadequacy has become an issue, is there something I can do myself?
If both the Mac Pro and the G4 Power Mac are unable to access this particular website, the issue is most likely with the Actiontec, which is a combination modem & router, and not either Macs.
Sometimes just a simple power recycle of your networking hardware will resolve the problem.
I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the Actiontec and computers.
Power-up the Actiontec; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
Power-up your computer(s).
Both Macs should now be able to access web sites on the Internet. I just tested it myself and had no issues connecting so it's definately not a configuration issue with your Macs. -

Did you restore your phone with itunes or check new phone. You can always reconnect with itunes and restore your phone to old settings and it should replace everything because it is on your computer

Hi, my daughter is using one of our old iphone's as an ipod (no phone service) It's listed under my apple id. when we downloaded the new updates, she started getting ALL of my incoming and outgoing text. How do I change this, without clearing her phone and loosing all her songs/etc....?

I am using ITUNES 11 on Win 7 64 bit. I can download podcasts to my IPOD touch just fine but when I click on the ITUNES store I get an error message that stays "ITUNES has stopped working". How do I trouble shoot or fix this? Thanks

When you scroll to the bottom of the list of files in Finder, the left to right scrollbar doesn't let you click the last file and it covers the file for a while until it disappears. Is this a bug? How do I not make that happen?
An odd workaround: click "Always" in System Preferences/General/Show scroll bars. The scroll bars will always show, but they won't cover your last file.

I have an iBook with Dual USB that won't fully turn on. it flashes a "?" and the Mac face symbol in a folder i the middle of the screen. How can I trouble shoot?
Restart with the Option key held down and see if the internal drive appears.
If it does, click on it, press Enter, and then change the setting in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences or the Startup Disk control panel.
If it doesn't, insert a Mac OS install CD or DVD and use the Disk Utility or Disk First Aid to repair the internal drive. If there aren't any problems, install an OS onto it.

On my mac-book pro the sound isnt working after I have installed OSX Mavericks, should I take it to be repaired, or can I do something on System Preferences?
In addition to checking system preferences/sound/output and selecting built in if that does not work, make sure volume is up and mute not checked.
You can try the following, Take a set of headphones and plug theim in and out several times (there is a micro switch that sometimes gets stuck)
Go to applications>utilities>Audio MIDI set up, see if you can select built in there, make sure volume is uo mute not checked.
Try a NVRAM/PRAM reset:
Power off, power back on holding the following keys OPTION + COMMAND + P + R
Continue to hold these keys till you hear the start chime 2 times, then release,reboot -
How can I adjust the safari sound volume other than the usual settings in the system preferences?
I am using an apple mac air, updated with OS X Yosemite. Looking at the same web site video from two different users accounts on the same computer, the sound is drastically attenuated on one user account relative to the other.
Sound settings in system preferences are maxed out.It seems that the difference between the sites that will open and the one that won't is the Default Authentication provider is set to NTLM on those that open, and Negotiate (Kerberos) on the one that won't. The Authentication Provider for the Default zone
is Claims Based Authentication on all the sites, just site B (which won't open) is set to Negotiate (Kerberos), the others are set to NTLM.
Short term: can I change the provider to NTLM without destroying the site?
Long term: point me in the direction for setting up Kerberos correctly on my server/farm, as from what I can tell Kerberos is the recommended path forward. I'll setup a non-production test site and get it figured out.

What do I do if I think I damaged the sound on my laptop by playing music in the shower?
So I recently read a question on "Macbook Pro" questions of someone asking if it's ok to play music on your laptop while in the shower. I know now that it's not ok. But before I knew this, I take about 30 min showers and I take my laptop to play music ever once in a while. Last night it shutdown a little after I got out of the shower and it wasn't because the battery percent was low. I went and plugged it in to charge it and it still didn't come back on for a good five minutes (which were probably about the worst 5 mins of my life because I was freaking out.) Once it turned back on I played a couple seconds of a couple different songs to make sure the sound was ok and it seemed fine for those few seconds. I tried to play music today and when I turned on a song, it played well for about the first 10 secs and then it started crackling. I think I broke it!! I feel horrible. Should I go to the apple store closest to me to get help?

Cannot hear audio on this laptop. The volume is on and working but I cannot hear the sound.Please do a BIOS update and this may fix the issue, if possible do a Audio driver update too.
If you wanna know how to do the same, please go to HP.com- Support & Drivers- Enter product number - Choose OS - Select BIOS - Download and install. Make sure that the Charger is connected to the Computer.

I am working on an ebook that has lots of complex illustrations, tables, captions. Scanning the images by converting them to JPEG is needed in order for the illlustrations and text to not move. Text flow is an option that I will not be able to offer.
