The time at the top of my screen, on my iPad ,is 3 hours behind. How do I set it for eastern standard time?
Since upgrading to IOS 7 time signature, at top of screen,on iPad ,has been on California time. Iam in New York. How do I change this? Yesterday I argued with Siri over this. She said it was 2:06, I replyed it was 5:06 in my time zone. She said I was entitled to that opinion! Even though she was able to pin point my location.
Go into Settings, General, Dat & Time, and set your time zone to New York. That will set the correct time.

Could you check whether you've blocked redirects? That is one of the kinds of changes that can generate that bar.
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, check the first section, and ''uncheck'' the box for "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

Before I upgrades to your latest version I was able to display many websites at the same time in the tool bar at the top of my screen. Now I can only display one at a time and it is extremely annoying.

im locked out of my ipod, and the screen isnt responding when i go to swipe to unlock it or when i swipe to turn it off. All of my notifications are there but i cant reply to any of them. My screen is completly unresponsive. But, in the top left hand corner, there is an outline of a box. how do i fix this?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -
Why does the wheel keep spinning at the top of my screen on my iphone 5
Basically,
I noted the past 2-3 days that my battery is dying really quick. It dies after being charged all night within 25 minutes. I also noticed that the wheel keeps spinning at the top of my screen between the time and wifi symbol. Is there a connection?I think that it is turning the WiFi switch on in Settings (from "not connected" ) that starts the wheel.
In normal circumstances the wheel stops when you have selected and connected to a network of your choice. -
I have two rotating arrows at the top of my screen next to the 3G symbol. This happened after the iOS 5 update. Does anyone know what it is and how I get it off, it is draining my battery?
At first read, I also thought it sounded a bit snide. Who here has read the entire manual before going to the web for a quick search? (Not me, and in fact, I found my answer - to this very question, by reading this post WAY faster than if I had read the manual. What is so wrong with that?)
That is the beauty of having support forums. If it is a bother to answer, without being snide, one is not obligated to do so. And my apologies if he was not being snide... but there maybe a better way to point out the manual, such as "I have included a link to the searchable manual which may be of assistance to you next time you are puzzled by your iPhone's behaviour".

What is this? I just downloaded FF 4 beta 1, and I make figure out what all of this at the top of my screen is for. I wish I could send you a screen shot! The actual window is cut in half...what the hell?

It doesn't capture any of the browser tool bars and such, though, and that's where my problem is. I've got a great splat of toolbar and many many many colored buttons and other random things eating up the top four or more inches of the screen when I open FF4b1, and I can't get rid of it. A screen capture shows the problem well, but something made with Page Saver only shows the web content and none of the browser.
This is turning out to be far more trouble than it's worth. -
I am not very tech savy and apologize in advance if my question is not clear. I use the Mail application on my mac and I have two users on my computer, one for gmail and another for my work email. All email addresses appear in the mail application on one page. When I open my email and click on a message it often goes to the other user screen and cuts off the top of my screen which shows the bar for Chrome, file, edit, view, history etc....Still functional but very annoying. How do I choose a user screen and stop having it switch back and forth.

When I first got firefox, it worked great, and i fell in love with it. But recently, something's happened. For some reason, I can't click on anything at the top of my screen. For example, if I go to Facebook, you know how you have to type you email and password in? Well it won't let me click in the bow to type them in. I also can't search google or go on youtube because of this. Please help! I've tried a lot, like downloading the newest version a few days ago, but no luck. I'm not sure what else I can try. Any suggestions or things that may get rid of this problem would be much appreciated.Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

I used to have an icon on my menu bar at the top of my screen to help me detect displays (monitors) It has disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone know?

...if you're running Mountain Lion. I'm in clamshell mode right now, so I don't have any mirroring options. AFAIK, there's no more "Show displays in menu bar" in Mountain Lion.

I was using open office spreadsheet today and inadvertantly clicked on a menu item that caused the Apple toolbar to disappear when I am in open office. How do I get it back at the top of my screen? I am currently using OS 10 Lion.
Click on the Menu bar and go to View . Or, hover over where the Menu bar shiuld be and click on it when it appears. Try quitting and relaunching Finder.
