The videos I attempt to download from a certain website come in a file named 'gallery.php' which I cannot convert; what's this all about?

I follow the usual procedure: right-click on the the video I want to download, and then hit 'Save Link As'. The download then proceeds; but I do not know how to convert the so-called 'gallery.php' file into anything viewable. The website has been of no help whatsoever!

I'm just trying to print my online pay stub
Since my printer isn't working, I'd like to save document to my desktop ("save as" is the only option given to me) and send it as an attachment to a friend's computer and working printer.
What browser are you using?
Are you trying to print or to save the doc? Whether you have a working printer or not is really immaterial. If you're trying to print, then File > Print > PDF > Save as PDF…. If the resulting PDF is small enough (<5MB, though my preference is <1MB), e-mail it to your pal. If it's too big, transfer it using a chat programme or a file service (MediaFire, RapidShare, etc).
Now, I am currently trying to send the document directly (via email, an option given under "file") the pay stub from my employer (who uses ADP online payroll services), to that computer and working printer ....and I'm receiving a window (with apple mail logo on it) that begins with  "To view this page, you must log in to this area on agateway.adp.com:443:"  and asks for "name" and "password".  I've put in both ADP's information, and what I believe (could be very wrong) to be apple mail's information, and either/neither/nothing seems to work!
I don't understand any of this. You need to explain better—or perhaps just post a screen shot (blank any private or confidential info on it prior to posting).

Hmm. The problem still may be the RAM - Apple buys the RAM it puts in its machines from third-party vendors (usually Hynix) so it could be a RAM problem.
There are a couple of things that you can do yourself before taking your machine into an Apple Store or an AASP... download and run an application named Rember that will run a RAM test for you - let it run for a couple of hours or even overnight. If it turns out that your RAM is faulty, Rember will let you know. If it is faulty, then you have a couple of options - replace the RAM yourself or (particularly if you're under warranty still) take the machine to an Apple Store or AASP and have them replace the RAM.
If Rember finds no fault with the RAM, then you'll need to take it into an Apple Store/AASP and get a free diagnosis on the machine. Three beeps do usually indicate faulty RAM, but if it tests good with Rember you likely have another problem - it could be something as simple as the RAM, somehow, not seated correctly or signs of another hardware problem.
Run Rember first... call back with results.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

  • HT3669 HP 2.16.1 downloading "updating" 3 times in 1 day? What's this all about?  I'm using latest OSX  on MBPro

Hewlett Packard (HP) Printer Software Update ver. 2.16.1 has auto-installed/downloaded twice within the past few days and now, today, the App Store wants to download 2.16.1 HP Printer Software Update for a 3rd time!?! Same version all 3 times. What’s this all about? Is something acting up or is this normal? Really strange that it'd want 3 copies of 2.16.1....
Please advise what I should do.
I’m using latest Mavericks OSX (10.9.2) on Macbook Pro (mid-2012).
    Thank you,

Below is a screenshot in case I made no sense explaining the problem above.

I don't know the cause and I haven't heard of that before, but
I think you should try some generic maintenence:
Startup from the Recovery Partition, and repair the hard drive and repair permissions with disk utility.

  • New song download is not compatible? What is this all about?

I just tried to download a song onto my nano and when I went to move it over, a prompt came up saying the song was not compatible with my device. What is this all about?
    Wickets924

i believe it's because on the "system requirements" it says that if running on vista, it needs to be on a 64-bit system. Mine runs on 32 and doesn't seem to work. it crashed my computer... big time.
I am not computer savvy though... could be wrong.

  • "SQlite Version Error The application has been updated, but your version of SQlite is too old and the application cannot run." What is this all about?? Shall I give up on Firefox?

When I tried to use Firefox this morning I got this message with exclamation marks.
"SQlite Version Error The application has been updated, but your version of SQlite is too old and the application cannot run."
What is this all about?? Shall I give up on Firefox?

Sorry to hear that. I understand your frustration and I hope they send back a better working N78-3.
Myself, I count myself lucky. Everything works perfectly for me right now...email, bluetooth, maps, gps, 3rd party apps, battery life, 3G, wifi, etc. etc.
The only issue I've been having is the dreaded reboots but I believe that may have to do with 3rd party apps. I recently uninstalled Google Search app from my N78 and since then it hasn't rebooted or shown any issues. This seems odd at first but makes sense if you think about the fact that the Google Search app loads itself into memory and runs in the background at all times.
I did this this past Tuesday night and so far no reboots, crashes or any problems. I'm sure I just jinxed myself but I've been using it heavily over the last few days with no issues. Prior to this, it would usually reboot every 2 days. If it doesn't reboot for another few days I'll be happy.
I would normally not stand for this but I just love the phone and if I got something else it'd probably be the iPhone 3G which has perhaps more software bugs and issues than the N78-3!!
Best of luck. Here's hoping they release an update soon.

  • When syncing my iPad with my computer I keep getting the notice ' waiting for changes to be applied '.  What is this all about ?

When syncing my iPad with my computer I keep getting the notice ' waiting for changes to be applied '.  What is this all about ?

If everything is working OK, I believe it simply means that the iPad and iTunes are communicating and that any changes that you made to the sync configuration are waiting to go through. If you updated apps on the iPad and they get transferred into iTunes or if you download new songs onto the iPad and they are being transferred into iTunes, any app data that moves back and forth - those would be changes that need to be applied.
If you can't finish the sync and that's why you are asking, can you provide more specific details?

  • My iPhone just said "SIM failure" and now says Invalid SIM in the upper corner. What's this all about?

My iPhone just said "SIM failure" and now says Invalid SIM in the upper corner. What's this all about?  Any ideas on how to resolve this.

Looks like the Sim card had a catastrophic failure. Burnout, short somethng like that.
You can try to take out the tray and reseat the sim card inside and see if that gets it back.
Also try resetting the phone at least once by holding down the home and power buttons until the Apple Logo shows up.
If none of this works you'll have to contact your cell carrier to get a new sim card, as it probably fried and is no longer functional.

  • My rue la la app for ipad suddenly dosent work so I deleted it now when I try to reinstall it the app store says that it not available in the us. It is still on my Iphone and working properly. What is this all about?

My rue la la app for ipad stopped working. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it,  it is no longer available in the app store and when I research it on safari and find it when i try to install it says that it is not available in the us store. What is that all about?

My app did the exact same thing. It is still unavailable on the App Store and when Rue La La's site directs you to download their app, the "not available in the U.S. message appears. This happened to me last night. The app wasn't working, I deleted it and was just going to reinstall but was unable to find the app. I figured it was some glitch but I have tried multiple times this afternoon to no avail.

  • Error when downloading from a certain website. image scrambled. (kepguru.hu)

I have been downloading wallpapers from kepguru.hu for about a year, with no difficulty or errors. This (hungarian) site is successful and user friendly, even though I do not understand the language. <br />
About 3 weeks ago, this all just stopped working for me. I can access the website, view pages of thumbnails, and reach the big thumbnail stage. But when I click on download, and wait for the image to load, all I get is a partial, and scrambled image. In other words, it is as if the image has been cut into pieces and put back together in the incorrect order. <br />
I have tried almost every setting I can think of, including resetting Firefox....twice, with no positive results. If I opt to 'reload' the tab/page, Firefox tells me "the image cannot be displayed because it contains errors". (it is not possible that every one of the millions of images on this site can suddenly contain errors.)<br />
I have written to kepguru.hu directly enquiring as to whether there are problems with the site, and they have replied in the negative, and suggested I try a different browser.<br />
I downloaded, and tried Google Chrome and internet explorer. I have also tried Google, Bing and Yahoo as search engines and all these produce exactly the same results.<br />
I do not think the problem is with my computer, since I have 3 computers in the house all working independently of each other, and the results are the same on all of them.<br />
I am connecting by means of dsl/wireless router/wifi. My computer is protected by Kaspersky anti virus.<br />
I sincerely hope that there is someone who can help me find a solution to this problem.<br />
    Thank you<br />
    Jeantoo (South Africa)

    Works fine here ([[http://kepguru.hu/dyn/download.php?id=19082&size=w2 *]]).
You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page.<br />
Reset network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset if they are user set (bold).

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • I created a new account/profile on my Mac OS X (10.4.11) and tried to download Firefox, which I am already using on my existing account/profile, and was told that my system doesn't support Firefox; what's this all about?

I would like to be able to use Firefox on the new account/profile I have created and don't know why my system will support it on this account/profile but not the new one.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Are you using the Select tool when trying to click on clips?  Might try hitting "A" on the keyboard just to be sure.

  • McAfee frequently warns me that Firefox is trying to accept incoming connections from the Internet and asks me whether or not I want to allow or block this - what is this all about?

I cannot find any reference to this sort of activity by Firefox on your website. It is an '.exe' program location and McAfee warns me that "Hackers can use programs to steal your personal information or hijack your PC".
Can you please confirm that these incoming connections are legitimate Firefox activity, and if so please explain what they are, why they are required by Firefox and why there appears to be no reference to this activity on your website. Many thanks.

    Hi Cor-el,
    Thanks for your response.
No, unfortunately McAfee does not give any more detail as to the origin of these incoming connections - is there a way to find out from McAfee?
I would have thought that Mozilla Firefox should have the answers, but I have been unable to find any reference to this issue on their website, Help section etc.
Could it be the way my Options are configured? - although I've not changed them from the Default settings as far as I can remember.
    Cheers,

  • What is this all about? "The "QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6" plug-in is slowing down your Mac. You can wait for it to recover or stop it now."  I'm running Mavericks 6.8.

I regularly get a prompt reading as follows: "The "QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.6" plug-in is slowing down your Mac. You can wait for it to recover or stop it now."  I've tried waiting, but nothing happens.  I "stop it now" and lose the page I'm reading.
