Hi Gurus,
Could you please tell me steps involved to do partial billing in third party order?
I have created third party sales order> PR>PO>Invoice receipt> Billing
In have made invoice receipt for 5 quantity where as sales order and PO has 10 quantity then I have billing which is order relatedf billing.
Can I able to invoive for remaining 5 quantity? please clarify....
Thanks,
Santhosh

Dear,
As per standard setting you can't do as in Item Category TAS ( Third Party sale) will have setting for Field Billing Relevence
as F ( Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice qty ) But if you change it to B it will allow to do so.

  • Create Third Party Invoice after the Inbound Delivery Creation

    Hello,
We have a requirement in 3rd party order process, where create invoice with reference to 3rd party order/ items after the inbound delivery completion.
Normally 3rd party invoice creation will be done after the MIRO transaction.
For this, I have checked the Item category billing relevance & copy controls between OR & F2, TAS and I couldnt get any idea for this requirement.
Please let me know if you have an Idea.
    Regards
    Suresh.

    dear friend,
    the following info would help:
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.

  • Third Party - Invoice Receipt

    Hi Team,
We have a third party scenario working fine. The only problem is the vendor sends us the invoice days (too long) after the delivery has been executed, thereby delaying the customer billing process. We now wish to invoice our customer before receiving the vendor's invoice. Would like to know if this is feasible and how to proceed.

    Hi
Try this scenario in copy control VTFA for the Item category the Billing quantity  as E and check.

  • Return Of goods in Third Party Process

How to Take back goods  Return of Third Party Sale Process?
    Is Following Process Correct?
    1)Third Party Order
2)Third Party Invoice(Dispatch from Vendor to Customer)
    3)Return Order(with ref. to Invoice)
    4)Return Delivery
    5)Credit Memo
    what are the Excise implications?
    Reg,
    Amol

SAP best practice does not tell you to create a return order and retrn delivery for 3rd party shipments. Generally, you would not like to take back the goods in your own plant for goods that were delivered by a 3rd party.
The customer would directly send back the goods to the 3rd party and you just issue a credit memo to the customer (can be w.r.t the original order or invocie). The company will then create a debit memo to the vendor.
If your client takes back the goods in his own warehouse, then you can follow the process of return delivery or else it is not required .

  • VF04 - third party - pseudo goods receipt

    Hello,
we do third party invoicing based on pseudo goods receipt.
This is because we sometimes charge the customer in warranty cases even if the purchase is for free.
(if we get the broken part back, we will raise a credit note afterwards)
As soon as we do MIGO, we are able to invoice the GR qty with VF01.
But we want to release the invoices via VF04 which doesn't work unless the IR is posted.
I've checked lots of SAP notes (like 84229) but wasn't able to find a solution.
The billing-relevance for the item category is 'F' and the billing qty. in copy control is 'E'.
(Changing billing relevance to 'B' should be the last option, as order appears in VF04 as soon as created and I'm
not quite sure whether the VPRS valuation problem occures again)
    Does someone has an idea?
    Thanks
    Wolf

    Hi,
    In the item category  VOV7
when F= Order related Billing status according to Invoice qty, hence system allows VF01 only after MIRO is completed. That is the standard behaviour.
I heve never tried this , but please check by changing to "G = Order related Billing status according to Delivery qty"
    Hope this helps.

  • Third party sales processing

    hello sap gurus
i have a doubt regards third party sales
while creating standard sales order i have different 3line items on that one is not available for that i did third party for 1 line item
item category is TAS in one sales order. if i dolike this system will give purchase req no. i want to create one invoice for standard and third party order is it posible or not if it is posible please explain detailed.
    thanks for advance

    Hello,
Whether your reuirement is possible in SAP is a second question.
First question is that whether this is practically possible? Because out of three line items, two will be delivered by your Company & one (third party item) will be delivered by Vendor.
Now the actual Delivery date & time to Customer of 2 items sent by you & Third party item item sent by Vendor may happen on different dates, thus creating Invoice for all these Items togather may not be a good idea.
Also Vendor too may not have the entire stock & send the goods to customer partially or on different dates.
Also in future you may like to have a seperate report of third party Invoices for profitability & other analysis. This will also be difficult if you have single Invoice for all Items.
Now coming to your requirement, it may be possible if you Item Category - Billing Relevance for TAN is A & for TAS is F or G.
Now in VF01, enter Delivery Numbers for two items sent by you & also enter the Sales Order Number & go to selection list & select the Third party Item. With this you will be able to create single Invoice for all the Items.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Database privileges for integration between EBS and Third Party software

    Hi,
We have engaged a third party invoice scanning software vendor that wants to install database components on our existing EBS database.
We run Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 on a 10g database. The third party software vendor wants privileges like select, update, insert, delete on Oracle EBS tables like ap_invoices_all, po_distributions_all, gl_code_combinations, and all important workflow tables.
The third party software vendor says the privileges are needed for their APIs and I have refused to grant the privileges. My employer now wants me to justify my refusal.
Does anyone know if Oracle have documents that say that direct updates on Oracle EBS Application tables is not acceptable? The manuals have the “Do Not Use Database Tools to Modify Oracle Applications Data” section but is there anything else?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hi
First configure the same via the following menu path:
    1.) IMG>Financial accounting>Financial accounting global settings>Taxes on sales/purchases>Basic settings>External tax calculation>Define physical destination
2.) Then test connection (option is available there).
3.) If the connection is successful, also verify that the external tax package installed supports the R/3 4.6 version of the API. You do that by going to:
    System Information>Function List
Check if the following functions are listed:
    • RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_UPDATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_FORCE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION
4.) Then test the tax data retrieval:
From SE37, select the relevant function modules like RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION.
The above 4 steps are necessary to satisfy that the RFC connection is established
    Hope useful

  • Automatic Billing For third party

    Hiya
Can we have a automatic trigger for trade invoice?
Once the vendor invoice is received and trade invoice should be triggered/created.
However I would also like to check that trade invoice only be created for received quantity.
    Bit specific... any help...

    Please try this
You can set a background job for automatically( SDBILLDL).
In third party process only after creating LIV,the third party Invoice is will be available in VF04.
This would make you to create automatically F2 automatically as you have set background job.
Please let us know if this works.

  • Third Party process - billing date change in Sales order / Customer Invoice

    Dear Friends,
In Third Party Sales Process , as we are aware  billing is order related billing and it will become due only after vendor invoice is received.
My situation is in the original sales order billing date is eg: 01.02.2009 . The subsequent vendor invoice ( Invoice receipt done based on PR --> and PO)  has a later date eg: 05.02.2009 .
This means that the customer biling can be done only after this date.
How the system behaves in this case wrt to the billing date ( 01/02/2009) of the original sales order.
    Regards
    Mahesh
Edited by: Mahesh sap on Feb 4, 2009 8:55 AM

    Hi all ,
Thanx all for your responses . But my case is a bit peculiar . Here the vendor invoice is coming by IDoc through EDI . When EDI flow is confirmed, the billing date is pushed ahead. As per billing calendar  in CMR the customer can be invoiced only on the last date of the month.
As a result if the original billing date in the sales order is Feb end, when vendor invoice received through EDI , the billing date is shifting to march end .
Is it because the date of vendor invoice is causing this?  Obviously the customer billing date falls only after vendor invoice date.

  • Intercompany invoice not getting created in third party processing

    Dear Gurus !
I am facing a problem in creating the intercompany invoice in case of third party order processing.
In our organisation , for any type of sale two billing documents are creared :
    1) Commercial Invoice under the co. code for which sales org. is maintained at the sales order bookin level .
    2) Intercompany Invoice under the co. code in which plant is maintained which is used at the sales order level as delivering plant.
So, as per the configuration req. for third party processing  , i have created Sales order ( with automatic Purchase requistion generated ) , Purchase order creation with reference to the Purchase requisition , goods reciept ( MIGO ) and invoice reciept ( MIRO ) , then billing doc. or commercial invoice ( VF01 ) with the generation of accounting document and finally the intercompany invoice ( VF01 ) .
But i am facing the problem in final stage , that is , intercompany invoice creation .
Error Message : No open billing quantity has been determined .
I have checked the copy control for sales order to intercompany invoice and still not able to resolve it .
Please reply which setting needs to be done for this .
Awaiting your response , that what copy control settings is required .
    Thanks .....

    Hi Buddi / Mahesh / Kiran ,
It ' s good to see all of your opinion . But my problem has not been resolved .
I am implementing third party processing in my organisation , where the customer is an export customer ( outside India ) . Hence , this is a merchant export .
All the configurations / Customisations have been done for this process .
The process is running fine till commercial invoice , but the problem is in intercompany billing doc. creation.
I am again repeating - Error message : No open billing quantity has been determined.
    Explanation of the process :
    1) The order has been booked with item category TAS alongwith the item cat. group as BANS for the material used in the order .
    2) The sales area is 1020 / 30 / 35 . Here , 1020 is sales org . under company code 0079 , 30 is export's distribution channel and 35 is the division for components .
    3) The delivering plant used in the sales order is 1009 which is under co. code 0077. The price / condition record maintained for this material is in USD / EUR as it is a case of merchant export .
    4) The purchase requisition is generated automatically when the order is saved . It can be seen at VA02 - > Item details - > Schedule Lines .
    5) With the help of this PR no. , i have created a purchase order for vendor which is maintained under co. code 0077 asking for material in plant 1009 which we need to export / supply to the customer.
    6) The value of material per piece in the P.O. is coming from the material master record -> Accounting 1 view - > Moving av. Price .
    7) Now, the Purchase order is saved . With the help of this P.O. no. , goods reciept ( MIGO )is done .
    8) After MIGO , Invoice reciept or MIRO is done under company code 0077.
    9) After MIRO , customer ' s invoice is created through VF01 .
Remember : This is an order relevant billing , no delivery or PGI will happen here because the material is not coming into the plant 1009 .
10)The billing document ( order - related billing doc.) is created and the accounting document is also created under co. code 0079 in USD .
Till this stage , everything is running successfully as per business requirement , but i am facing the problem in the final stage , that is creation of intercompany invoice under co. code 0077 which is in INR .
In all other sales document types used in our industry , the process is same , that is : a) Sales order creation b) Delivery and PGI c) Billing doc. creation with accounting doc. under co. code 0079 and finally d) Intercompany invoice with accounting doc. under co. code 0077 and excise invoice creation with reference to intercompany invoice.
In the above, problem is not there becuase orde is delivery relevant , hence copy control is maintained for interco. billing to delivery type.
But in the new process , that is , third party processing , sales order relevant billing is done . so i suppose there will be a copy control for intercompany billing and sales doc. type , but i am not able to resolve it .
Hence , please understand the process before suggesting .
    Thanks and awaits reply........

  • How to raise customer invoice in case of third party sale from PS

    Dear All,
In case of third party sale from project systems module, PR is raised which is further converted to PO and once the material reaches at client place GRN is done.Based upon the GRN the actual cost is booked to the project. How should I raise the customer invoice against the materials received by the customer?
I went through the Forum and based upon the threads there, I came to know that one option is to  create sales order for the same items and do order based billings. But for this I have to enter the same materials items again in the Sales order which is nothing but duplicacy of data.
Is there any alternative to this? Or some other way by which the PO line items be copied to sales order so that I can save time while creating sales order.
    Regards,
    B P Singh

    Hi Virendra,
                       Business scenario is like this.
I have created project and activities.Have assigned materials as 3rd party sale in NWA. I have released the project.PR are getting followed by PO.On doing the GR the actual costs are getting booked on NWA.
My concern is how to bill the Items(the same material components) which are assigned to activity.
As per your input I need to do Resource Related billing. Thanks for the input. It is no longer required to assign materials in DIP to Carry out RRB.
To carry out RRB do I need to create Sales Order first ? If  No then how to do RRB? If Yes  I need to create a Sales Order with all the material components which I have assigned at activity level. So I was looking for some alternative so that SO creation becomes less tedious.

  • Third-Party Order - Cost from PO incl. Freight into Sales Invoice

    Hello SD gurus,
Had a question about drop shipments(Third Party Orders). At our company, the third-party order related PO sometimes has Freight/Customs conditions, but they do not come on to the VPRS(cost) condition on the corresponding Sales Invoice. What should I do to make them add up on VPRS?
See sample PO conditions and history tabs below
You can see the correct amount(including freight) shows up as cost of goods sold(in the accounting doc for its GR document) below
But the VPRS line on the sales invoice only shows the GR amount, does not include freight/customs charges as seen below
Is there any way I can get VPRS to include the Freight/Customs amounts as well. Please help me out....
My third-party order copy control VTFA configuration for OR =>F2 for ItemCategory TAS, the billing quantity is currently set to F.
Document Flow for our drop-ship orders is as follows: Creation of sales order triggers creation of a purchase requisition which in-turn gets converted into a PO. Once the GR happens on this Vendor PO the Goods Issue and Sales Invoice is triggered immediately. The Vendor IR comes last.
    Thanks and regards,
    Wayfarer

    Hello
As per the standard Third party process, cost in the billing document will be picked from Invoice receipt of the vendor (MIRO).
Basically here the cost determination happens from below three sources.
    1. MIRO (invoice receipt of Vendor)
    2.Goods receipts (MIGO )
    3.Purchase order
Highest priority is given to the number 1. MIRO.
In your both the cases, kindly check MIRO price & quantitiy.

  • Cost in invoice in the case of third party drop ship scenario

    Hello ALL
We have third party drop ship scenario where vendor drop ships the goods to customer on our behalf and once we get the confirmation from vendor we bill the customer.  The sales order line has TAS item category.  When we raise the invoice the cost and billing quantity (because billing quantity is 'E' in copy control) comes from the goods receipt.  The PO is an import PO and has custom duty (delivery cost conditon) as well.  The custom duty is significant and hence when we create billing doc from sales order we want the custom duty also to come along with the material pirce as cost to the billing doc. Currently, the billing doc has material price from goods receipt as cost.
Can we get both price and custom duty as cost through some config or some change in PO pricing schema?  Or is there an user exit that can be used to manipuate the same?
This is a common scenario in India and hence if anybody has come across this already and can share the solution, it will be great.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rajeev Jain

    Hi,
    You can do like this.
Create a cost condition type ( copy of VPRS) and place it properly in the pricing procedure. sub total field must be B to collect the cost. Place a account key and maintain the G/L account for it also.
In the requirement you can develop a new requirement saying that in case of TAS item category system should check for the cost of the item from a PO, and you can get the total of customs and price to by writing a logic. To develop the program and logic discuss with your developer.
    Thanks,
    Venkat Cheedalla
