Three state workflow not complete

Hello,
I'got some trouble with the OOB Three state workflow
It's creating the first task, I change the status to completed and save, it create the second task , I do the same stuff but the workflow doesn't completed..
When I look to the task list I can see that the first task has the % complete to 100% but not the second, if I try to edit the second task to add this 100 I've got the error "This task is currently locked by a running workflow and cannot be edited. "
If I try to set this 100% when I accept the second task , it doesn't complete the workflow...
What Am I doing wrong?

The workflow shouldn't be completing if you just duplicate the exact same set of activities for the second task assignment
as you used for the first. Just make sure you use different task tokens, but use the exact approach for task 2 as task 1. The workflow will not complete until both tasks are done.
The approval workflow then assigns a task to each participant in the workflow, who must perform an action on the task. When all the tasks
are complete, the overall task process is complete.Each of these task events must be complete instead of set the percent before
the task process can be complete

OOTB Three-State Workflow not funtioning correctly

I am trying to create a Three-State OOTB Workflow on a document library. I have created an additional column in the document library called "Assigned Document To:". (Type: Person or Group)
When I upload the document the workflow instantly assigns the task to me, instead to waiting on me to assigned it to the user in the "Assigned Document To:". field.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Again this is OOTB. NO SharePoint Designer involved.

How do you assign the task to the list column "Assigned Document To" in the Three-State OOB workflow?
Please set the "Task assign to" value to the proper list column as you want per the following image.

Error Occured - Three state workflow

I faced this issue and was able to resolve it. I am hoping this will
be helpful to someone who might get into trouble using the default
three state workflow.
I created a list and tried to use the default Three state workflow.
The workflow was enabled to start as soon as a new list item was
created. It started and the status was "Error Occurred". Being a Java
guy I didn't know where to look for this error. I checked the Event
Viewer but not much help. Is there a log file for Project Server
application?
Here is the reason why this happened. I had to go through most of my
fields in the custom list to understand what was causing this problem.
I had a field called Owner and I had enabled this option "Allow
multiple selections: ". This caused something to break in the
workflow. I am assuming it cannot handle a Person/Group field that
allows multiple selections even though none of the list items actually
had multiple persons selected.
Hopefully this will help someone in the future if they enable any
Person/Group field to have multiple selections.

Workflow not completing

Dears,
I have some of the old workflow instances which I can see all the workitems are completed, but the parent workitem (workflow item) is not completed. The showing status as 'STARTED'. is there any report / note to correct this error?

Dear Rick,
As I said earlier The workflow log is shown till the end all the workitems in completed status. But I guess in workflow definition some strange things happened. In the graphical workflow log, I'm not seeing the end workflow activity. that's why may be the ending of workflow not happening even though all other items are completed properly. I think I need to come up with some custom program to complete these workflows as the number is huge.

Have you tried removing all 3rd party plug-ins?
Also, resetting preferences to defaults may help... Press and hold Command - Shift - Option immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.

Workflow not completed, is this best practice for PR?

Hi SAP Workflow experts,
I am new in workflow and now responsible to support existing PR release workflow.
The workflow is quite simple and straightforward but the issue here is the workflow seems like will never be completed.
If the user released the PR, the next activity is Requisition released that using task TS20000162.
This will send work item to user (pr creator) sap inbox which when they double click it will complete the workflow.
The thing here is, in our organization, user does not access SAP inbox hence there are thousands of work item that has not been completed. (our procurement system started since 2009).
Our PR creator will receive notification of the PR approval to theirs outlook mail handled by a program that is scheduled every 5 minutes.
Since the documentation is not clear enough, i can't digest why the implementer used this approach.
May I know whether this is the best practice for PR workflow or not?
Now my idea is to modify the send email program to complete the workitem after the email being sent to user outlook mail.
Not sure whether it is common or not though in workflow world.
Any help is deeply appreciated.

It sounds liek they are sending a workitem where an email would be enough. By completing the workitem they are simply acknowledging that they have received notification of the completion of the PR.

I hope (and assume) that they only receive the email once.
I would change the workflow to send an email (SendMail step) to the initiator instead of the workitem. That is normally what happens. Either that or there is no email at all - some businesses only send an email if something goes wrong. Of course, the business has to agree to this change.
Having that final workitem adds nothing to the process. Replace it with an email.

Three State Workflow (assigned to field)

I use the 3 State WF in a library. First and second task were assigned each to a person from 1 of 2 list fields of the library. But after first person completes the task and second task is created the person from second list field ist inserted in first
list field. Why? It's a bug? Is there a workaround? (I don't have the possibility to use normal WFs, I can only use this WF)

this is the first page of the WF settings (you ever saw this?)
On the second page you can insert details for the first and second task, which the WF creates. There is a field 'Task Assigned To' which I filled with the content from a column of type 'person or group' of the library (Responsible Review). This one is for
the first task, the other for the second is configured in the same way with an other 'person or group' column (Responsible Release).
Before I start the WF, there are 2 different persons in the 2 columns, after completing the first task the WF creates the second task, and then (I can't see, is it after completing first task or after creating second task) field 'Responsible Review' in the
library changed it's content to the content of column 'Responsible Release'

Confirmation workflow not completed

Hi,
I have activated the confirmation workflow WS10400010 (worflow without approval). I am trying to do the GR in SRM and it's generating local confirmation number. When i see check status showing is awaiting approval.
I have activated only above workflow for GR confirmation without approval and remaining all are deactivated.
I am getting follwoing error message if i see in swi2_diad t-code.

Three State Approval Workflow Error

I have created one Task List. Add Three state approval workflow to it.
When i created New Task. It started workflow. But after couple of minutes it throws error "Error Occured". How to find error.
Please let me know. If you know any resolution for workflow error then also let me know.

Hi,
Please go to the task list settings page, click Assigned to column and check "No" for "Allow multiple selections", then check whether the issue still exists or not.

Logoff script is not completing on computers in remote locations

Hi folks,
We're running a logoff script on our Win7 Enterprise SP1 machines that invokes three robocopy statements which copy various local directories to our Netapp as a backup. The logoff script is called through GP at 'User Configuration|Policies|Windows Settings|Scripts
(Logon/Logoff)'.
If the machine is in the corporate office, there is no trouble, the script completes, and all files are copied. If the machine is located at our branch office (connected across the WAN via an IPSEC tunnel), or by Directaccess, the third robocopy statement
will not complete, and the logoff script just exits as the user is logged off. The robocopy log is truncated in the middle of the copy. This script can be run interactively and it will complete without difficulty. It would seem that the copy is taking
too long to complete?
In researching this, I found that the default time allowed for a logon/logoff/startup/shutdown script to complete is 10 minutes, and that this can be changed through GP at 'Computer Configuration|Policies|Administrative Templates|System|Scripts|Maximum
wait time for group policy scripts'. The trouble is that even in remote locations, the script fails way before that default 10 minute timeout. In fact, the script runs slightly less than a minute before the logoff occurs. I tried setting the max wait time
to 0 (infinite time), but that did not help.
I've also tried breaking the three robocopy commands out into separate batch files and invoking each with a 'call' statement, and adding 'start /wait' in front of each command, but neither of those worked either.
Does anyone have a clue why the logoff script is exiting so quickly? Thanks for any help,

Do your robocopy statements log to a file? It may be worth while to tweak your batch scripts a bit to generate a log.

Depending on the results of that, you may want to consider maybe creating a different script to perform some tests to validate network connectivity. The example below is a bit over the top but we ended updoing something similar to what's below for
testing remote connections, especially when users had intermittent connectivity problems. (Hence the goto top)

Data is not updating in database when workflow is completed........

   I am working on ESS leave request workflow.
   After the approval is being made by the agent, the relevant data is not getting updated in the database. There is no entry regarding the leave period in PA20.
Is it a workflow issue???
Is it something related with commit work???

Did you try to run and check, the report RPTARQPOST report from the back end. This report is resposnible to post the data into the workflow and complete the workflow. But as you mentioend that the workflow is getting completed then in this case I think you might be already scheduled the above report. Did you check with any kind of authorizations with the user under which the background job or the user who is runnig the report.
There could also be a possibility that the applied user might not have right authorizations to manupulate Absences Infotype 2001. PLease check teh roles associated with the users in PFCG txn.

Appraisal Workflow - Item not completed

Hi,
After performing Approved or Reject in MSS for Appraisal Workflow, the task are not completed or removed from the UWL of the user. If we do the same from R/3 the workitem gets completed. I checked the workflow task and it always ask for 'Confirm End of Process'.
Any idea to how to do that?

Please also see BWF note: 902541. Also, please be aware that the workitems will not leave automatically as there is no real time refresh in the Universal Worklist. The quickest time that it will take will be 60 seconds. If you manually refresh do the workitems leave the inbox? Please check your parameters as mentioned in this wiki page:

Workflow is not completed please advice

Hi Gurus,
We have created WF for sales order. when the sales order quantity is above a perticular quantity that sales order line item is blocked for dlivery and WF is triggered. MRP controller gets the mail to take a decision on this. he has to decide whether this quantity is to be taken from stock or convert the sales order to MTO.
We had one issue in production due to which the WF is not completed. The MRP controller has taken the decision but it is not reflected in sales order.
CAN WE AGAIN TRIGGER THIS WF OR CAN WE COMPLETE THE BROKEN WF?

Hi ,
Please hceck the below points
1. check the workflow log where it has been struck up some where and try to find the various ways to solve that problem
But please discuss with the corresponding person before doing any action in production
2. If the last workitem is dialog workitem and struck from long time then complete that step manually by using SWIA tcode (after the client approval)
3. If the last workitem is inprocess(Background workitem) then select the worktiem and
GOTO -> Technical workitem dispaly
EDIT-> CHANGE
check the options which is suitable for u
(Execute , complete manually , etc )
4. If the workflow is in error status then try to restart the workflow after error

First you can try to force reboot your phone. To do this:
1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.
If that doesn't work, you might need to hook the phone up to your computer and do a full restore through iTunes.

Ok, so i downloaded three albums (sic) and discovered the next day that on two of them there were songs which did not completely download. I quickly reported it and expected a reply within 24 hrs but Ive heard nothing back and now I cannot re-report it .
