  • App Store Updates still showing after update

I have downloaded lots of apps for my iPod touch and I had one update available from the App Store. I have downloaded the update on my iPod twice, in iTunes 3 times and I have synced the iPod over and over again and the update is still showing in the App Store even after I have already installed it. What can I do to fix this?

For what is worth, this started happening to me as well, I got two updates "fixed" there albeit the apps have been updated days ago...

  • App updates still showing after being done 3 times

    Hi all,
after updating to Mavericks, I updated iLife and iWork to the latest version.
I did it once, and the updates went fine.
But... App Store kept showing iMovie as an update. I re-downloaded (almost 2GB) and installed.
It then asked for another update (in-between there were shutdown/restarts of the PC since they were done in different sessions).
Now I am being asked again for iMovie and Pages/Keynote/Numbers.
How am I supposed to stop this?
    Thanks for your support

I'm experiencing a similar issue. I have updated IWorks on two computers, one a Macbook Pro and the other a
late model iMac. I keep geting Update Notifications for Apple Updates already installed.

  • Office SP1 installed, but superceded Lync update still wants to install

Hello all, I had the same question in the SCCM forum and they told me to repost the same question here.  So my machine is Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 running newly downloaded Office 2013 ProPlus w/ SP1 direct from MS.  I did not install the SP1
myself, I used the complete ISO off the volume license center that includes SP1. Loaded the updated OCT files from
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35554 to fix the install glitch as is documented.  Installed with customized OCT msp file.
I installed my updates deployed via SCCM 2012 R2 CU1, using all office 2013 updates, not expired or superseded.  I installed all of my published/deployed updates, but when running updates through Microsoft Update using Online, I see
Update for Microsoft Lync 2013 (KB2817678) 32-bit Edition as an update that is needed.  I check and this update
IS SUPERSEDED by the SP1 (
    http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=2850036 ).
That made me question do I actually have Office 2013 SP1 installed.  Checked the version number as documented "In order to determine whether SP1 is already installed, you can look for the program version in the list of installed programs
in the Programs and Features Control Panel item. If SP1 is installed, the version will be 15.0.4569.1506 or higher."
Mine shows, "15.0.4569.1506" so it is installed.
Now that you have the background, why is it asking me to install an update SP1 supersedes when I have SP1 installed?

  • Update still showing up after an update

I updated the Twitter app and it still shows as an update available.
I tried to trash the pref file but nothing has changed.
    Any ideas?

I was also having the problem that updates would immediately show available for apps after I ran the Mac App Store updater. I tried deleting the apps and reinstalling them and the updates would still show available.
I have a hard disk attached to my iMac with a cloned copy of my applications. I deleted the apps from the cloned copy and ran the updater. Success! The update page now displays that all apps are up to date.

  • Apps still showing as installed after a reformat

Recently did a clean install of OSX, all updates available installed.
Previously purchased 2 apps, Facetime and Twitter. Facetime is showing as installed, but its not in my applications folder, and Twitter is showing an update that when i click on it, tells me i need to sign on the account i purchased it from. I only have the one account.
    Needless to say im confused.
    Pls Help

    Hi,
The v10.6.7 combo update addresses some Mac App Store bugs that may help.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1361
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed. It's ok to do this even if you are already running v10.6.7.
If necessary, MAS troubleshooting help here.
FYI... any apps whether purchased or free will show up in your Mac App Store account as well as iTunes - Purchased History regardless of whether or not you do a clean install on your Mac(s). The iTunes store and the MAS are one in the same.

  • Carrier sign still showing after wiping and reloading OS?

Hello dear users, In my thread of "application installation issues", it seems to be determined that my carrier who I got the phone from, is blocking the install of applications as I get a 910 error, application authorization failure, when i try to install an application from: www.blackberry.com/screenreader/ After some searching, I've come across BBSAK, which I use to wipe the phone and reload the oS. I've also come across the tool "vendelete" which deletes the vendor.xml files. So I do the following: 1. uninstall the original carrier OS from pc. 2. Install OS from different carrier to pc. 3. Use vendelete to get rid of the xml files which it says no xml files were found. 4. Use bbsak to wipe the oS. 5. reload the OS. But when the phone boots up, it still shows the sign of the carrier which I don't want, so i presume nothing has been updated? since when I try to install the application again, I still get the 910 error. What am i doing wrong here? Help would be much appreciated. Regards,

    Hello,
Ok, is there anything else that is not being wiped apart from the splash screen?
I mean anything else that would be the cause for not being able to get passed the 910 error? apart from the IT policy which was mentioned.
Actually, the IT Policy is another thing that is not removed by other Wipe methods, nor is it removed when you install a different carriers OS to the BB. See this for the proper IT Policy removal process:
KB18998 How to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory defaults
If, when you do this, you take a backup first, then you MUST NOT do a wholesale restore afterwards...if you do, the IT Policy will dutifully be put back on. You must do a selective restore of only those specific databases that you require, being 100% certain to EXCLUDE from the restore any that deal with the IT Policy:
    KB03974 BlackBerry smartphone database list
Also, see this for the official document from RIM regarding the 910 error.
KB12230 "Download Failed: 910 Application authorization failure" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone when installing an application
From all of your symptoms, a latent IT Policy on board the BB could be the root cause of everything, so I recommend you use the above methods and truly cleanse your BB of the IT Policy. I think I'd suggest the following steps, just to be sure that things are truly clean...also insert plenty of reboots of your PC...not just restarts, but full power down reboots. Also, it is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
    1) Remove all device OS update packages from your PC (add/remove programs)
    2) Cleanly uninstall the RIM Desktop Software:
KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software
Some have reported that manually cleansing the registry of all keys related to RIM, BB, and Puma to also be helpful
Others have reported the use of a registry cleansing tool to also be helpful
Still others have reported the use of your original PIM (e.g., Outlook, NOTES, etc.) installation CD, running the "repair" process, to be helpful in some situations
    3) Get a fresh download of the RIM Desktop Software:
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
    4) Download (to your PC) a fresh copy of your currently installed (on your BB) device OS package from your carrier (if it's not the original carrier, then you know already to delete all copies of VENDOR.XML after installing to the PC):
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    5) Install the Desktop Software to your PC
    6) Install (also to your PC), the device OS package
    7) If you need a backup from the BB, take a full one now:
KB23680 Backup BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 7.0
    8) Perform the ResetToFactory
KB18998 How to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory defaults
    9) If you want a different OS on the BB, then remove the OS Package from your PC and install the one you desire onto your PC (but not yet to your BB)...again, remove VENDOR.XML files if the package is not from the BB's original carrier.
    10) Use BBSAK to wipe the BB and then load the OS to the BB
    11) If you took the backup in step 7, use that as source for a selective restore, including only the databases you require and excluding all databases that have anything to do with the IT Policy:
KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup
    12) Now see if you can proceed with installing apps

  • 10.5.7 Update not showing in Installed Updates log

    Hello everyone!
Not sure if this is some type of problem or not but I'm checking with you guys before I do something drastic like reinstall Leopard or something.
I installed the 10.5.7 update yesterday on my iBook G4. After I installed it, the computer hanged only showing my desktop and dock (no menu bar). After a while, I manually powered off the iBook, turned it on and saw it boot, restart, and boot back up. I updated Safari 4 beta after that. Then I checked the Installed Updates log on System Preferences and it showed the Safari update but not the 10.5.7 update. I thought there might be something wrong so I downloaded the Combo Update, repaired permissions and installed the update again. No hang this time, it restarted but it did do that boot-restart-boot again thing again. Tried it twice now and the 10.5.7 update is still not showing in the Installed Updates log even though in About This Mac it does say I'm running 10.5.7.
Is that normal? Are others having this issue?

Suggest you read my tip at
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2004922&tstart=0

  • OS X Server 2.2.5 update still showing up in the MAS

A couple of weeks ago I updated a system with OS X 10.8.5 and OS X Server 2.2.2  to OS X Server 2.2.5.
I had no problems or errors and it seems to me that the install log didn't report anything wrong:
    Nov 20 09:06:00 myApple.server.it installd[395]: PackageKit: Writing receipt for com.apple.pkg.ServerAppStore to /private/var/db/receipts
    Nov 20 09:06:00 myApple.server.it installd[395]: PackageKit: Touched bundle Applications/Server.app
    Nov 20 09:06:00 myApple.server.it installd[395]: PackageKit: Touched bundle Applications/Server.app/Contents/Applications/Xsan Admin.app
    Nov 20 09:06:00 myApple.server.it installd[395]: Installed "Server" (10.8)
However, yesterday I noticed that the OS X Server 2.2.5 update is still showing up in the MAS.
I'm almost sure that it wasn't there right after the OS X Server 2.2.5 update but I cannot say when it started showing up again.
I've already verified that I don't have outdated copies of Server app on attached volumes and I've also inserted all the local volumes except for the startup one in the Spotlight exclusion list.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue or know what the problem could be?

I had a copy of the older Server on a backup drive, where I keep the system installers and Server installers just in case.
I zipped Server on the backup and removed the original and immediately the update went away.
So because spotlight indexes all the drives it was finding the old version on my external RAID and thinking it needed updating

  • Same Updates Keep Showing After Installation

My App Store constantly shows tat there are 4 updates.  I click on the click on the icon, click on the update button, the machine restarts... and the same four updates are still pending.
I have been trying to clear this for two days, so now the list of updates that have already been installed, shows the same update - same version number - numerous times.
I also tried cntrl click to hide the updates that have already installed, and though the option to hide comes up, the updates remain visible.
    Thank you for the help,

  • Cablecard charges still showing after returning the card to Verizon

How long does it usually take for the cable card charges to get dropped after returning the card?  I sent my cable card back to Verizon (in prepaid box that they sent me - TY!) a month ago, and the charges still show up on my account.  When I talked to the customer rep, they suggested that I wait a bit longer to see if the cable card removal will automatically show up under my account.  However, I somehow doubt that the system will show that the card was returned.  I have pictures of the box and the tracking number, as well UPS' tracking info (accepted by Verizon on 3/19/2013 and signed by Taylor).  Does it usually take that long for Verizon to update their system?

  • How to update PowerPC apps after installing Lion OS X?

I need to update my PowerPC apps after installing Lion OS X, and if not find a way to run them on Lion using a patch, emulator, converter or otherwise? All help appreciated, thanks for reading. Please note, I do not curretny have a hard-copy of Lion or Snow Leopard.
I feel Apple has really let its users down by creating all these compatiblity problems. Myself along ith many other Mac users have to spend valuable time and money, which we won't get back just trying tto find solutions to these problems. It really does lower my opinion of Apple.

Use your System Discs you got with your computer and return your system to it's previous state with your last Time Machine Backup. If you were on Snow Leopard and have lost your discs then ring Apple and you can probably get a replacement set for a nominal fee.
    Good Luck

  • Deleted app, still showing as installed, can't reinstall

I deleted Illustrator and a couple of ther apps from my cloud stack to save space, but didn't notice the uninstall tool on each app. I used a tool call app cleaner that finds and deletes associated files.
All else is fine, but the app manager still shows Illustrator as installed and there seems to be no way to download and reinstall. The other apps deleted the same way show as uninstalled and the installed apps are still working fine, just a phantom Illustrator listing in the app manager that I'd like to reset.

It seems there is still some Illustrator files present on the machine that is being detected by AAM. Let's run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and remove the remnants of Ai CS6.
