Ticket Management Through PM Orders !!!

Hi,
We have a requirement in an upgrade project whereby Ticket Management should be done thru PM Notifications or Orders i.e. each object which need to be upgraded will be considered as a seperate ticket and a corresponding Notification/Order will generated for it. It will then be assigned to a business partner(developer,functional tester etc.) thru a workflow.
Pls respond if any of u have any idea or have implemented this kind of system thru PM module.A detailed explaination will be appreciated.

I could not understand what you or your client wants to achieve by this upgrade project.
Yes you can configure the notification and order for the same, but there will not be any equipment or Functional location.
You can configure the different type of notification only for the tracking purpose and then create notification for every Ticket.If it is billable OR if it is a CR, create PO to capture the efforts and cost and if there is no cost involved create only notification and also you can configure the work centre for the developers to assign the notification.
I have not configure the system for ticket management,but we configure the PM module to capture the customer complaint at client site.

    I am trying to implement Service Account lifecycle use cases (Create, Modify, Delete) on 2 resources(AD User, iPlanet User) through Request templates. In this case OOTB tasks - Service Account Alert, Service Account Changed, Service Account Moved with resource specific Process definitions are not get triggered as I am initiating process through Request Templates.
    I want to trigger post process EventHandler upon triggering any of these events. so, I created metadata xml file as the following and imported it into MDS.

    When I use the following code to find Resource details based on Key, its throwing resource not found exception.

    I tried finding for the table which stores all IT Resource connection details. But no luck.
    Now my questions are:
    1. Which table stores all IT Resource Information that can be seen from Design Console -> Resource Management -> IT Resource Type Definition - > Resource?
    2. Which table stores Resource Key and Name details?
    3. When we do query for records from any form in Design Console, where exactly would logs get recorded? (as it queries DB to fetch information there should some file like DB Tracer Log etc)
    Could somebody please answer these questions and give some hint to implement SA management through Req Templates?

    i am thinking that, Even though OIM11G is developed in ADF,some parts of the code is in struts only,like xlWebApp.war .
    i have seen source code of xlWebApp.war folder that is there in OIM11g.
    it seems to be developed in struts only.
    is there any ADF interaction in that?
    i have written helloworld program in struts,that is working fine.
    i have done that,for ADUser resource popup i added button "serviceaccount for this resource".when i click that one jsp page will come.
    so i am thinking that,some other reason is there for not working.
    can u please tell me the reason?

    What is Service ticket management.The same is known as Case management functionally.

    Case and Service ticket (service order) are different transaction types.
    Cases are integrated with service orders in the People-Centric User Interface for service order processing. You can create a case for a selected service order and that order is automatically linked to the case.
    Serice ticket management is nothing but service transaction management. You can use service ticket management to enter and process service orders in your Interaction Center (IC) WebClient. The service ticket provides central access to all information and functions that are necessary for processing service orders.
    You can make the necessary settings for the service ticket by choosing Interaction Center WebClient > Business Transaction > Service Ticket.

  • Creation of Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order

    Dear All,
    I am aware of the sub contracting indicator to be cliked in the maintenance order in order for the system to generate a Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order. However I am unable to see this indicator in maintenance order fields.
    Is there anything that I am missing in customising settings or is this related to activation of any business function sets.
    I am working in ECC 6.0 EhP 5.0.
    Need your help / inputs so as to resolve my issue.

    Thanks for ur response. 
    However this is something I am aware of. The settings suggested by you will automatically generate a PR with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Service' (D) combination.
    I am looking for the auto generation of PR through the maintenance order with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Sub Contracting' (L) combination.

  • Delivery document creation after Posting of Goods through Purchase Order

    Dear All,
    Could you please help me out by letting me know how to create a delivery document flow i.e. entry in VBFA table after Posting of Goods through PO, I have Inbound delivery document that I know & also a succssfull Material document that is created and can be viewed through Purchase order history BY USING ME23N transaction code.
    so please let me know is there any way to create a delivery by inputing delivery no., Material Doc & Material Doc year

    Additonally:
    At the time of GR the inbound delivery ican be updated in MIGO also if you set the suitable indicator in:
    SPRO > LE > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Configure Global Shipping Data (V_TVSHP-SPE_INB_VL_MM)
    (see OSS note 1050944)
    Even though you implement this change or w/o this change post the GR in VL32N, you won't get the document flow in table VBFA.
    You can use table EKBE to get the necessary information.

                        I am a ABAP Developer , as mentioned in subject, my part is to Create support desk message in solution manager,through external Emails like outlook Express . To do this task i  am in need of more information about some  componenets which are used in solution manager support desk Message.
          My Doubts are,
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 ' ( i.e is the ibasecomponent for solution manager - support desk ) ?
    3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?
         If anyone has already worked with this subject, please give me some suggestions ASAP.

    Let see if I can explain this well:
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
    When you define a Solution in the SOLMAN, you need to update your Ibase
    Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
    This create a tree structure in the ibase IB52, as you can see in the attachment.
    You get a componet number for SID-Client
    You can configure the SOLMAN in a way that when a message arrives from
    <System ID> <Installation Number> <Client> <User Name>
    this is what solman knows from a message comming from a satellite, them you
    know directly from which component/ibase the message has been received.
    This is important data, the component/ibase, for reporting issue, for assigning this component to a sold-to-party (being in IB52, left tree, select a system and go to Goto->Partner  you can assign a Sold-to party BP there for example)
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 '
    By default the SOLMAN system has a Intalled base 01 already created for being used and maintained "automatically":
    being in dswp, solution : Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
    If not you msut maintain the ibase manually from IB52, this is also possible.
    The Ibase 01 is a prconfigured iBase for being used for the SOLMAN application.
    Tink that the SOLMAN system is built up a CRM system, so the IBase is CRM matter. SOLMAN is only using some CRM applications to build the Service Desk scenario for example.
    I3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?

  • Service Order Creation through Sales Order...

    Hello,
    I got one requirement it is , we need to copy the account assignment (WBS element ) from sales order line item to service order line item . Morever same wbs element should be used to create automatic settlement rule in service order.
    This should also work even if user changes the WBS element later. i.e, updated WBS element should again update service order and settlement rule automatically.
    I tried to use Exit MV45AFZB and routine USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_COBL, but still i am not able to see the data in service order Location tab, Object tab.
    I checked the table ILOA, its not getting updated when creating Service order via sales order.
    I am not able to see any fields value coming on Service order screen when creating through sales order.

    Here the issue is that, Sales Order is getting created but while sending the Order num. to Webpage through web service then rasing below Exception.

  • Creation and selection of Notification types through Maintenance order

    All,
    When i  create a notification through the order, while giving the notification type in F4 selection, only i could able to see S1,S2 &S3 notification types. Neither i could see the other standard notification types nor the custom notification types configured in the selection. Also we didnt include any notification types in the personal list in selection.
    Can somebody throw ideas about this behaviour ?

    The custom notification types have been configured for the notification category 01 which is maintenance notification. But the order type through which the notification i am creating is activated with service profile.
    I guess, this could be the reason, if it is, is it any other way to bring the custom notification types as mentioned above ?

    here is some stuff regarding third party purchasing,
    may be it will use ful,
    u2022     The item category group (BANS) in the sales:sales org.data screen of the material master controls whether or not the material will always be a third party material.  In this case, the item category in the sales order will be defaulted to u201CTAS.u201D   If the material is also procured internally, then the item category group can be set to u201CNORM,u201D and the material can still be used for third-party processing if desired.
    u2022     The item category in the sales order (TAS) informs the system that      procurement data must be maintained for the order.  In addition, this item  category results in a purchase requisition being automatically created with its item   category defaulted (S).
    u2022     The purchase requisition is created as a result of a sales order.  For each schedule line (quantities for sales orders broken up by dates of delivery), a purchase requisition item is created, provided that the item category on the
    sales order is u201CTASu201D for third-party.  The purchase requisitions created can
    be viewed and even edited from the schedule line screen (Edit-
    Procurement  Details).
    u2022     Changes in quantities, dates and account assignments in the purchase order result in the automatic changing of the sales order.
    u2022     A desired vendor (informational field) can be specified in the sales order in the procurement data for the order.  In addition, a fixed vendor may be assigned in this data if known at the time of the sales order. This then becomes the supplier for the third-party items. If the vendor is not specified in the sales order, the purchase requisition goes through the normal source determination.
    u2022     The account assignment in the purchase requisition can be either the sales order (C), or aux. account assignments (X). 
    u2022     Once created, the third-party purchase requisition follows normal
    purchasing procedures.
    u2022     Customer delivery information is copied onto the purchase requisition from the sales procurement data.
    u2022     If you create delivery schedules or change quantities during the purchasing process, these automatically get copied back to the schedule lines on the
    sales order.
    The goods receipt indicator can be found in the purchase requisition which can be edited from the sales order (Click on Item line- Hit Schedule Lines button -Hit Purchase Requisition Button).  This indicator determines whether or not the customeru2019s goods receipts are monitored.  When the indicator is off, invoice verification is done against the purchase order quantity, and the delivery of goods to the customer is not input into the system

    I am implimenting version management for Purchase orders.
    Under version management(IMG) ,set up change dispalys node--
    following fields are available.
    Ex:
    Doc type-- ZCO,NB
    For item view fields:
    Field nameEMATN(material),TableMEPO1211--material field in Item over view
    Field nameMENGE(Quantity),TableMEPO1211
    For Header level fields:
    Field nameZTERM(payment terms field),,TableMEPO1226
    Category--A or B for selection of change documents
    No out put--if i tick it concern field will not included in change doc
    Version--what is the purpose
    Please suggest me
    1) we need enter the all the field names in the item over view and item details and Header level fields as given above ,is it correct.
    2) And with regard to Table, do i enter for Header level fields-EKKO or  MEPO1226 which is available in F1 under techinical information,
    for item level fields,shall i enter table name-EKPO or MEPO1211as dispalyed in the F1 under techinical information.
    3) I need to enter all the fields existing in the purchase order
    4) All these fields and data is to be entered for every document type NB and ZCO.
    5) After changes are made in Purchase order,first time on saving the PO,version is creating automatically,
    second time,if we do changes, version is not creating on saving the purchase order,what configuration needs to be done.

    Also tell me the use of *Display of change documents in PO*.
    It will display changes made both in item & header.It will help you to audit all changes made in p.o after it is raised.
    In version management not all changes can be ameneded as seperate versions
    only critical changes like price revision,quantity revision.

  • How to block entry through internal order budget in F-02

    Hi,
    Kindly tell me during Purchase order creation through internal order (Order related PO) whreas budget is maintained against that internal order if the PO amount is exceede than budgeted amount it gives warning / error messge that budget is exceeded. Same internal order or any other internal order which has budget against that internal order if I go to  F-02 tcode and pass entry with cost center and internal order(budget is given) both it does not give any warning message if budget value exceeded i.e, F-02 posted amount is greater than budgetd amount. It goes to next screen which should not do. Kindly tell me the reason why it is not being blocked and goes to next screen or if there is any configuration  please guide me.

    Now I have observed during saving the record in F-02 it gives warning message as per tolerance limit set in config area. Actually I want in F-02 screen when you put Document date, posting date, type, period, company code, currency, posting key(debit), GL account, next 2nd screen you mention amount, cost center, internal order(budget is maintained), posting key(credit) and press enter for next 3rd screen to put credit amount. While you go from 2nd screen to 3rd screen then warning / error message should give if amount is exceeded than budgeted amount which I am getting during saving. Is it possible to make any check between two screens ????
    Beside I would ask you here tolerance limit is set as 95%, 100% and 102%. During PO creation through internal order it gives error message when amount is exceeded than 102% as budget is exceeded. If the amount is between 95% to 99% it does not give warning message which should do. But from posting in F-02 screen it gives proper messge in all levels since 95 % to 99% and 101% to 102%.

  • Integration with ticket management software

    I have been asked to look into integrating my company's ticket management system with Project Server to provide a quick way to update a resource's activity on a project. (eg:  Technician logs hours in the ticket management system, then presses a button
    and it updates a corresponding project/task).  I have had difficulty finding documentation on the API to see how this could be executed.  Does anyone have some insight into this, and could you point me in the right direction?
    I tried poking around [ http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ee758031%28v=office.14%29.aspx ] but didn't catch what I was looking for, though that is very possibly an oversight.

    That sounds very similar to the TFS connector available on MSDN Ultimate. 
    Basically, you'll have to write code against the PSI that plugs in actual hours against a task - which should be referenced in the downloadable SDK.
    Alternately, you could look at third party tools like HMS TimeControl which provide a front end timesheet that then pushes back into Project Server and/or the ticketing system.  (Mentioned as another architectural option.)

  • Tracing savings through Purchase Order

    Is it possible to trace savings done by procurement dept through purchase orders ?
    I recollect, in my previous organization, buyer used to put savings somewhere in condition tab so that it will be recorded and traced as per purchase order.
    Here 'savings' referes to the difference of amount between prices before and after negotiation.
    Anybody knows how this works exactly ?

    System does not know what is the negotiated price, somewhere you can give the Negotiated price. So its better to create a new condition type and ask user to enter the Value. Using this condition type you can generate reports like saving done for the negotiated material.

    I have a requirement where i need to change the PO Approval workflow receiver which gets created through PM order.
    First i need to understand the process of how do we create a PO for a PM Order.
    If the PO gets created where do i need to put a break point so that i can debug which workflow is getting triggred for PO Approval.
    If anyone has done this before .. please share your inputs..!!!

    It is defined in customizing which workflow is triggered during release of purchasing documents.
    SAP provides a simple workflow for this purpose:
