Is it possible to create a PO through the purchasing open interface from an approved requisition line(s)?

Hi,
PDOI does not support linking imported POs to Requisition that already exists in the system.
PDOI will pass the values of REQ_HEADER_REFERENCE_NUM & REQ_LINE_REFERENCE_NUM
to link the imported POs to a Requisition that has not been imported or created in Oracle Purchasing.

Asset depreciation posting via interface

Hello,
My client would like to use WBS elements as investment measures to bring capital projects through WIP and capitalize to FXA's. However, they want to maintain an external asset accounting system as the system of record for depreciation, write ups, write downs, etc. Our system will receive these postings via interface.
They would also like to record depreciation of a single FXA to various WBS elements based upon a crosswalk from the asset accounting system. I am trying to find a way to make multiple JV's to post this,
Dr Depreciation expense, key 40 - WBS
CR Accumulated Depreciation, key 75 - FXA.
Thus, FI-AA's manual depreciation and unplanned depreciation transactions will not meet this requirement as far as I can tell.
I have been trying to make ABF1 or FB01 work. ABF1 will allow for this posting, however, I am not able to select the individual asset on the credit line. Is this a screen layout configurable item? FB01 will not allow a depreciation transaction type to be used in the transaction at all.
Can anyone help with this?

To be frank, any solution that is built around something like ABF1 should be reconsidered. I'm all for delivering creative solutions when required to but wouldn't propose something like that to a customer... at least not without a "you'll get no support from SAP on something like this". Since the external system will track all of the asset's depreciation calculations and value adjustments, why not just post a simple FI document using a BADI? Why muck it up with ABF1? It would seem that if they accept the fact that they are leaving SAP then they are leaving behind some integration benefits as well. Trying to regain those benefits by posting to a recon account and (hopefully) maintaining a reconciled set of books between the GL and FIAA isn't logical to me.
Posting costs to a series of CO objects is the job of CO. You might be able to come up with a solution using FI-AA but I would expect more problems related to document creation as you have already found. Just post it to a high level WBS/IO and then allocate using whatever logic they require. At least you'll have the tools to do so within CO.

Requisition Import Interface error

Hi All,
I have an Out side processing Item in a BOM and when I perform move transactions, as soon as the comes to Queue stage of Out side Processing Operation, system firing requisition import program. every thing is fine till here.
After running requisition import program , requisition is going into interface errors saying that,"Accrual account is invalid and variance account is invalid". please assign a valid accrual account and valid variance account. Please suggest me.

Verify that the following accounts are valid.
Inventory > Setup > Organizations > Parameters > Other Accounts > Cost Variance Account
Purchasing > setup > Organizations > Purchasing Options > Receipt Accounting > Expense AP Accrual Account
Make sure the accounts are not restricted by security rules.
GL > Setup > Financials > Flexfields > Validations > Security

Batch split and picking via interface

We have a set-up where we receive picking confirmations from an external system, via an IDOC (type DELVRY01). The picking strategy is SD picking w/o transfer orders, so we update picked batches directly into the delivery, with the picked quantity.
However we have an issue if the delivery quantity is 30 CAR ex. and we receive a picking confirmation for 30 CAR or more. I this case the batch is updated on the delivery main item. If the picking confirmation was for 29 CAR or less, it is updated as a batch split item. The issue is that if the 1. picking confirmation is eaqual or higher than the delivery quantity, the main item is updated. It is then not possible to receive more picking confirmations for that item.
What we would like is to force creation of batch split items, regardless of the picking quantity. Any ideas for user-exits/BAdI or customising settings are welcome.

I have found a solution to this using user-exit EXIT_SAPLV55K_002. If you receive a picking confirmation for an item where the quantity is equal or creater than the delivery quantity, you can add an extra record to table T_KOPO in the user-exit, only containing the delivery number and item number. This will then generate the picking confirmation as a batch-split item.

Trying to add effects via interface and nothing is working like the reverb or delay sliders?

for some reason my garage band effects dont work when I try and add delay or reverb to an individual track- weirdly i just switched the mac on and it worked then it stopped on the next track? Green lights are on etc - I am sure I'm doing somrthing dumbe here, just dont know what! HELP ME PEOPLE!!

Mapping Type missing for Import Dimension via Interface Tables

Greetings Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I have two Generic dimensions that I have created within the Shared Library. The issue that I'm having is that whenever I create a new profile for these two dimensions, there is never an option to Merge or Replace the dimension. I always have to "create new dimension" even though these dimensions exist within my shared library. This causes a problem because, I have to always perform a replace and it looks like be default, when creating a new dimension, it merges whatever values I have within the interface tables into the existing dimension.

Pls check if you have mapped the Alias table from Interface Area to Alias dimension in your import profile definition. And then also check if association between Alias & entity is defined.

Recording Empty Sound via Interface

I've got a basic M-Audio Fast Track interface device that I'm routing my acoustic guitar through, but even though it is set in my preferences to serve as the I/O, none of the sound is registering in the software---neither Logic nor GarageBand. The interface light is on, so near as I can tell, it's working.
I've spoken with other people who've seemed to have the same issue; does anybody know what we're doing wrong?

How is the acoustic attached?
Take a look at the Audio MIDI Setup utility and make sure everything is configured properly.
Have you selected the proper input channel for the acoustic from within Logic and/or GB?

Create AP_INVOICE_LINES entry programatically via interface?

Hi,
is there a public or private API/interface that supports creating a new invoice line (ap_invoice_lines + distribution + ...) entry for an existing invoice?
I tried fiddling with the open interface (AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE/AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE,ap_import_invoices_pkg) but to no avail :-(

Thanks for the helpful examples, but:
skimming through the code I think that it will import an invoice header + line.
The invoices I want to add lines to are already imported/comitted so I don't need a header. Calling the interface processor for an existing invoice gives me a DUPLICATE rejection (actual string might vary).
Since the first post I learned that the functionality changed significantly between releases so I have to add that I'm on eBS release 12.1.3

Internet via interface 1, LAN via interface 2? How can this be done?

I have a Mac Pro with 2 Ethernet interfaces, I will call them E01 & E02 from here on.
I have recently gotten my own ADSL line which runs over my own phone number so I have the ADSL Modem come into the E01.
I am however still required to be in the 'old' network that is setup in my house, so I figured I could just have E02 plug into our Airport Extreme to be able to local LAN connect that way.
Seeing as both E02 as well as E01 have internet access it seems that there is no way to tell my Mac to use E01 exclusively for internet access while using E02 only for LAN abilities but no internet activities.
I am hoping that someone here might know how I can configure this as it is quite annoying constantly having to disable E01 in the network settings, enabling E02, share a file over LAN then revert back to internet access on E01 by disabling E02.
I hope this makes sense, if not please ask me for more info.

Thanks for your help, however I am still slightly confused as to how this is supposed to work.
Just so we're on the same page of what I am trying to achieve I made a little sketch:
I have 2 internet lines that need to be used separately however I also need the File Sharing ability between my Mac Pro (bottom left in sketch) and the computers on the other side of the network (bottom right in sketch).
My computer will be using the internet from Modem #1, whereas all other computer should be using the internet provided by Modem #2.
I don't mean to dismiss your comments, it's just that I am still somewhat unclear on how I can have 2 internet lines running together into 1 network and then mapping 1 line to 1 computer and the other line to all other computer on the network.

Pacman architecture + searching packages via interface

I am aware of the long discussions on GUI's for pacman. But we have to focus on the aspect of usefullness when talking about software development.
Pacman is a package installer etc.. and thus the link between a user and installing applications. Pacman is a very usefull tool/system: It is fast (using the wget option), doesn't breaks easily on dependencies, etc... . But pacman lacks on one big feature: searching!.
If I need to search for a application I will have to use the archlinux website! (using grep and pipe the output is not an option).
Of course I could use the pacman -Ss search-term command but then I could get a long list of unstructured results.
Also if i would like to batch some packages I have to type all of them at once -> this is not a preferable way of working. Whenever I like to install a number of packages at once I have to type all the names. Selecting them in a list is conveniance.
The kde application kpackage is perhaps the best way to implement this functionality. I found a lot of posts on a kpackage plugin but none very informative on the matther of existance.
I am not interested in a real GUI for pacman, but more specific information on pacmans architecture and possibilies to be implemented inside automatisation applications like kpackage.

searching for "p2p" gave me all the packages with p2p in their name/desc. Seaching for "p2p ftp" gave me all the ftp OR p2p pacakges.
Is that not what you want?

11.1.X Missing Mapping Option Import Dimension via Interface Tables

What version of 11 are you using? There's a bug w/ 11.1.1.2 and attribute dimensions. I don't think it matters if you're using interface tables or ads files. The bug is as follows:
"Bug 8580222 - SUBSEQUENT DEPLOYMENT MAY DELETE AN ATTRIBUTEDIMENSION FROM PLANNING. This issue has been addressed in 11.1.1.2.02 service fix".
We applied the following patches this past weekend and they addressed the issue:
Planning 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning .02 patch)
Planning 11.1.1.2.02 (this fixes the issue with attribute dimensions)
EPMA 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning patch)
APS 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning patch)

"Enrich" SAP MM catalog items imported via interface

Hi,
We're using the 1 catalog on SAP MM solution and would like to enrich/map imported data. In SRM there is te catalog transfer badi however on MM side I'm unable to find any badi that can help me achieve this. In PM area however there is the 'customizing table solution for enriching the data'.
Example usage: If vendor delivers UOM 'PCE' via OCI then change this UOM in to 'EA'. What could suffice is the following:
1. An OCI badi in which we can enrich the imported data in SAP MM.
2. A doc change badi or some sort in which we can ammend the imported data on purchase requestion level in SAP MM
Anybody knows if such can be achieved?
Note: I'm requesting the SAP Materials Management (MM) solution to achieve this!

I've seen that badi and noticed that it's for SAP internal use only however we might be able to use it but this will be unsuported and we need to monitor this badi when implementing SP's etc. This isn't ideal however have you had any experience using the ME_CATALOG_INTERFACE badi, does it suffice and do you think it's a big burden that we have to change/use a standard SAP badi?
I know that allthough this badi is marked for internal SAP use only we can use it. If you have had any experience using this badi I'm really curious in what way you've been using it and what goals you have achieved via this.

Changing data captured via ME52N through BADI - ME_REQ_POSTED not working!

Hi All,
I am trying to change the 'Release Date' value everytime some data is changed on a purchase requisition via transaction ME52N. I am using BADI 'ME_REQ_POSTED' via my own implementation of interface method 'IF_EX_ME_REQ_POSTED~POSTED'.
Everything works and I can access all the data that I need except the fact that the standard variables with item data (i.e. 'IM_EBAN') cannot be changed and so I am forced to rather change table EBAN directly by using a 'MODIFY' statement after processing the data within the BAdi method.
However when I check table EBAN via se16 I find that the field that I want to change (i.e. EBAN-FRGDT) does not change at all even though the transaction states that the document has been saved successfully and my BADI implementation has been executed in full.
Therefore how can I ensure that the field is updated via this BADI or via a direct update within the BAdi implementation?
