Time from ordering to receiving?

Hi,
I fully realize that my question may be fairly ambiguous, but i'll give it a shot regardless:
I'm thinking of ordering some books for Christmas. I had heard of these books, but never looked into them until now and my oh my, I regret not doing it sooner. The idea looks amazing!
So, how long does it generally take - 2 to 4 weeks? I know some people may wait longer or not long at all..i'm looking for a ballpark so I can guestimate as to when I should get this done (asking bro and sis-in-law to contribute photos).
I've read posts from Old Toad and RickfromToronto (GO SENS GO!) so i'm ready to set the prefs and go from there.

Hello All:
Since I had posted at the Buy Book - it just doesn't work what had happened to my "book" production, I thought I would follow up with how the book ordering progressed.
My 53 page, hard cover book of 96 pages was sent in on 10/17, Monday at 7:30 AM and I received verification from Apple at 9:23 AM that morning.
I next received notification 10/20, Thursday at 8:00 PM that it was shipped that morning at 8:13 AM and would arrive 10/21, Friday at 3:00 PM. When I checked the tracking this morning I was able to see it is in a facility about 15 miles from me and out on the road and I'm located 30 miles south of Boston.
I did pay for express shipping as I will be at a reunion Saturday of all the folks who were on this vacation and I wanted (hoped) to have the book to show them as well as the various slideshows and DVD I made of the trip to Yosemite.
Now the wait to see what the quality will look like and will post that also!

PS - the only odd item was the multiple postings to my credit card, still in TEMP status so will watch to ensure no mistakes there and that only the real cost makes it thru. It appears that everytime one connects to Apple, they post to your credit card in the Apple One Click account even if it doesn't end seccessfully albeit on TEMP basis.

Will the email client on my MacBook Pro remove mail from my Exchange 2003 in order to receive it?

I just received my new MacBook Pro yesterday and I have an Exchange 2003 server that I would like to work with the email client. now I know some email clients in certain modes will download the mail from the mail server removing it from there at the same time. My question is will the email client remove the mail from the server in order to receive it? I want the mail to remain in the mailbox so I will still have it available at my office later. I am honestly not certain what version of OS X it is, and I don't have it handy, but I just bought it last week. Thanks!

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
If that fails:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

How do you order more than one project at a time from iPhoto?

This is why I no longer order books from iPhoto. I use Picaboo and Blurb. It is ridiculous that you can't create a number of projects and place them in a cart for checkout to save on shipping. I thought Apple was supposed to be leading the pack but in this instance they are sorely lagging behind. How difficult would it be for them to create a cart, upload your projects and purchase them at once. Do they really need to stick it to us for more shipping costs?

I can't connect to the drive on my airport time machine and am receiving the message: "AirPort Time Capsule" can't be opened because the original item can't be found.

Time capsule has been working perfectly for months.
Suddenly I can't connect to the drive on my airport time capsule and am receiving the message: “AirPort Time Capsule” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.
Time machine appears to be still backing up (last backup within the last hour), but drive is not visible and I have files stored on it.
I have tried rebooting everything in order as suggested for other issues, anyone got any ideas how to see the drive again??

What OS are you running??
It is very typical Yosemite issue.
1. In airport utility does the TC show up.. if so click it.. and see the summary page which will include its IP address. That is what you are after.
From my screenshot you can see the TC address is 192.168.2.57
It might well show up briefly after a reboot or in ipad / iphone version utility. Yosemite is hopeless. The airport utility hardly works.
2. In Finder use Go, Connect to server.
Type in SMB://192.168.2.57 (replace with IP you discover).
If it is possible it will request a password.. type that in and DO NOT FORGET.. to store it in your keychain.
This will work until the TC changes IP which won't happen if it is main router.. but will happen if it is bridged.. so you need to tell me the whole network setup.
Mavericks is nearly as bad and the above instructions should be universal except I would use AFP instead of SMB. Apparently Yosemite is now totally Windows oriented.

I am looking for a solution :- "Create warning message at the time of order creation/save if a cc is assigned in the settlement rule that crosses the company code of the order or where the company code of the plant for the order is different from the company code assigned to the cc"

The txn code : IW32 (maintenance order) , this warning message for settlement rule creation using Cost center as a settlement receiver. If the used cost center is belongs to some other company code, said warning message should occure.
I tried user exit, field exit, also used std message control (KO-458). Nothing is working.

Real time job doesn't receive automatically changes in SAP ECC 6

Hi Experts,
 
 I'm trying to (using Data Integrator) automatically retrieve data from SAP ECC and store it in a local database table. I followed the steps written in this article: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/Receiving+IDOCs. I'm modifying some records in the Cost Center Master Data (CSKS) and using COSMAS01 as the IDOC in which I'm trying to send the information.
 
 All seems to be OK, since I manually sent a Cost Center data row using the /nbd16 transaction, SAP ECC displayed a message telling that an IDOC had been generated. Also, when I checked the IDOC status in BD87 it had status 03, meaning that it had been sent correctly.
 
 In Data Services when I clicked on 'View Data' in the local database table that I put in the dataflow I could see the rows that I manually sent from the ECC. However, after truncating the local table, it bothered me that when I tried to send manually a second IDOC with another row from the Cost Center Master Data table, my real-time job didn't receive the request and consequently didn't insert the desired rows. I didn't change anything in the configuration, so my first question to any of you is that if you know what could it be that causes my real-time job to not receive the request from ECC?. I tried making a third try, but at my company they had to shut down the ECC server, so it's going to be a while before I make another try.
 
 Now, the REAL question of this post is that after I sent the first IDOC successfully (and before sending manually the second one mentioned earlier), I changed a record in the CSKS table directly in the ECC, hoping that it would automatically generate an COSMAS01 IDOC and send all the data in the table to the Data Integrator. This didn't happen and no IDOC was generated, so do any of you know why the automatic change didn't trigger the sending of the IDOC with the data?
 
 As I said before, I made the configuration in ECC and DI following the steps in the link written at the start of the post, and it was tested OK by successfully sending a COSMAS01 IDOC once, manually using bd16.

We want to make sure your phone is in working order Mb_in_NC. I know it can be difficult when you see different times. What is your make/model of your device? When did it start? Do you have a different time on any other applications?

Required Business Scenario
Customer orders are received via the internet and imported into Oracle Order Management via an open interface table. The customer orders are processed by Oracle OM and converted to Purchase Orders which are then sent to suppliers (as no stock is held at our site). Goods are then shipped directly to the customer by the supplier. We take a commission for the service offered.
Problem
As we take a commission for the service described above, the value of the Purchase Order will be different to the value of the original order received via Order Management, however Oracle Purchasing does not allow you to place a Purchase Order on a percentage basis terms. (we will take a small commission as a percentage of the value of the original order meaning the value of the Purchase Order will be slightly less than the value of the original order). The following scenario attempts to explain the situation:
Order received via Oracle Order Management
5 units @ $20 = $100
Purchase Order created from above order (required scenario)
5 units @ $19.70 = $ 98.5
Our commission @ 1.5% = $ 1.5
Has anyone encountered this scenario before? If so I would appreciate assistance in how to resolve this issue. How can we create a Purchase Order from the order received via Order Management which will have a different value and allows us to take a percentage as commission?

How to cancel a Timer from inside a TimerTask ?

I have a web application with this structure:
Tomcat starts a servlet and that starts a master thread to run once every 10 minutes,
that master thread in turn starts any number of individual tasks to run until completion,
the idea being a "shoot and forget" methodology.

I know that inside the TimerTask i can call cancel() but that will only prevent it from running again it does not actually remove it completely, it remains in existence and therefore uses up memory. What i need to do is call the cancel() method on the Timer in order to remove both the Timer and TimerTask.
If i do not do this then the program will just keep creating new Timers until eternity.
( or basically until i run out of memory )
How do i call the Timer.cancel() method from INSIDE the TimerTask ?
( Note that both classes are seperate classes/files and not inside the same file or class. )

Gotcha,
the Timer does get cancelled but the TimerTask runs to completion first.
Was expecting a kill() type effect but that is not what cancel() does.
