Time pair generation

Hi Gurus,
I want to know, how the time pairs are generated. I have an idea that it considers vaules from PA2011 which are uploaded through PT80 and are written to TEVEN. I know operation FILLP is used to form pairs.I want to know which PCR does it ?

F1 help: The personnel calculation rule checks the status STAT1 for each time pair. This status has been set in pair formation and indicates whether it was possible to form an error-free time pair, or if the start or end time could not be delinited. If there are incomplete (open) pairs, TE30 issues an appropriate message. If the clock-out entry could not be delimited, it is completed automatically using times from the daily work schedule by means of operation

And there is no time card for the given Payroll month.

Time pair on Planned working hours 0

I want to generate time pair for days where planned working hours is 0. how can i do that do i have to write a rule to generate time pairs on day with hours 8 (fixed if it is a off day) because if anybody takes PL on off day and CL on off day then i have to generate 8 hours of attendance during time evaluation. By default system is not generating any time pairs and hence i am not able to generate 8 hours. Plz guide.

I can generate time types but the problem is that time type will be a generic time type and will be applicable to all absence classes with operation VARST or OUTTP. Until I have a time pair on a non working day and if that time pair is generated then it can be read using RTIPA OR PTIPA variables.
Otherise for every absence type it will generate 8 hours but I want 8 hours to be generated wtih PL and CL only. If i give LOP or LWP then also system is generating 8 hours time type which is wrong. So until I generate a time type for the off day i cannot read 2001 or TIME PAIR TABLE.
Kindly guide.

Read start time of time pair and compare it in a PCR

Hi All
Created following PCR to check if th start time of the time pair is 09:30 or not. If it 0930 than I need to check the end time as well.

But the schema is processing only till line 20. As the start time of the time pair is 0930 it should go and check the end time.
I would like to know if correct operations are used to capture the start time of time pair and compare?

This is your rule. It checks whether it is 09:00 or not. If it is 09:00 it checks end time.
000010 D HRS=PBEG HRS?09.50
000020 *
000030 = D HRS=PEND HRS?17.50
000040 = *
000050 = = HRS=DZ007 HRS-00.50 ADDDBZ007Z
Beside you can not check it as 17.30 it should be out of 100.
I mean 17:30 is 17.50 and 17:15 is 17.25

Generate Separate New Time Pair (not split)

Hi All-
US SAP_HCm 4.7
I am trying to generate a separate time pair (in schema TM04) for overtime (M), while keeping the planned working time (S) time pair untouched. I am basically trying to make a copy of a time pair (i.e. hours) except for changing the processing type (S to M).
Example:
TIP Table - IN
0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
(S) Planned Working Time Pair
Operation in Time
Some Clever idea ... or concept
TIP Table- OUT
0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
(S) Planned Working Time Pair
0800-1400 --- 8 hours -
(M) Overtime Time Pair
I have tried using the operation GENTG in a PCR .. but it seems very limited. Is there any SAP Time gurus out there with a clever idea?

now I have a question,
DWS daily work time from 08:00-17:00
if one employee time events (IT2011)like this:
07:51 P10 clock in
07:52 P10 clock in (repeatedly)
17:00 P20 clock out
when the time evaluation ,the system (rule TE30) will give a error message,"missing clock out",
because the system think P10 and P20 is one pair ,so at this case ,the system think it missing one clock out.
so I want to know where place set time pair P10 and P20 is one pair at IMG?

Hi,
So as per your requirement we need to have a seperate code for intime and outtime else u cannot differentiate it.
And in time evaluation each clock in should have a clock out.Else the error by TE30.
Can you please be clear in this question?

Time [ Quota Generation for Part-time employees]

Hi Experts,
I need a help. I have a following issue.
1] Whenever an employee is marked with a tick '' as Part-time], I want the quota to be generation based on the Weekly workdays [field in SAP WKWDY].
2] I used the option of defining reduction rule by selection the radio button on the following option:
            Weekly workdays
            Day by day in accrual period
            Accrual period
            No reduction [defined in To Percentage and From percentage]
3] When I execute the PT60, get an error message as "No Standard working time for key 13 5 20100501" I am running it for the month of May2010.
Can anyone throw some light, in case I missing something. I have earlier done configuration of Reduction Rule by using the rule 01 which has the option of Employment Pct. from Plnd Working Time Infotype. and then maintain for the employee the tick on Part-time and reduce the employment percentage.
Now the client I am working wants it based on the Weekly Work Days and these are all Salaried employees.
If anyone has faced this problem and has as solution, can you please share.

Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)

PKCS#11 provider - ECDSA key pair generation on token

I want to generate ECDSA key pair on HSM (nCipher's netHSM) using SunPKCS11 provider and Java 6.
After generation for all supported curve names (e.g. secp256r1) I try to call getEncoding method from PublicKey object (keyPair.getPublic().getEncoded()) and
I get RuntimeException
caused by java.io.IOException: "Point does not match field size"
at sun.security.ec.ECParameters.decodePoint(ECParameters.java:75)
at sun.security.pkcs11.P11ECKeyFactory.decodePoint(P11ECKeyFactory.java:61)
at sun.security.pkcs11.P11Key$P11ECPublicKey.fetchValues(P11Key.java:1002)
Keys are accessible on HSM.
Everything is well configured and works fine with RSA keys.
Using IAIK PKCS#11 provider I got proper values. Is it any bug in SunPKCS11 provider?

I recently had a problem with ECDSA and the PKCS#11 library of nCipher. Here's info from one of their engineers about the PKCS11 library:
"There are two separate issues - one is that our current pkcs11
release doesn't support ECDSA signature with SHA-2 hashes
(the v11.00 firmware adds support for it, but the main release version of
the pkcs11 library hasn't been updated to take advantage of it yet).
There is a hotfix version that does support SHA-2 hashes with some
restrictions, talk to [email protected] for details, and V11.10
should be out soon and have that merged in.
But the issue with setting CKA_SIGN is that our underlying HSM API
allows elliptic curve keys to be either key exchange (ECDH) or
signature (ECDSA) keys, but not both at one.
At the PKCS #11 level, if you specify CKA_DERIVE=true and let
CKA_SIGN default, it will default to false, and vice versa.
If you specify both CKA_DERIVE=true and CKA_SIGN=true, then we
return CKR_TEMPLATE_INCONSISTENT because we can't do both with
the same key. (However, the tests using C_GetMechanismInfo will
show that we can do both mechanisms, because we can - so long
as you use different keys, even though they have the same PKCS#11
type.)
I can't comment on when or how that will be changed."
I was using the PKCS#11 library through NSS when I ran into the problem, but I imagine Java would run into similar problems also using the PKCS#11 library. I was able to generate keypairs but not create a CSR (which required making a signature, which required SHA-2).
Can you just use the java classes to speak to the netHSM? I've never directly written code to do so myself, but I have used Corestreet's OCSP product that uses the java classes to speak to the nCipher HSMs (though not using EC). It might work better than going through the PKCS#11 layer. There should be a java directory under NFAST_HOME that contains some jars.
Please post back if you figure anything out as I'll probably be playing with this stuff myself soon.

Middleware- Taking long time for generation of Runtime objects- SMOGTOTAL

Hi Experts,
I am doing middleware settings for connecting CRM 2007 with R/3 4.7.
When i am generating all the required objects ( Replication objects, publications....) using the transaction code SMOGTOTAL, system is taking very long time for generating the objects. Generally it takes 4 to 6 hours but in our case it has already took more than 36 hours and still its running.
Can anybody tell me what i need to do to make the generation process faster.

What I read in the best practice:
It is not required for a new installation.
Typically this activity has already been executed during the system installation or upgrade.
Use transaction SMOGLASTLOG to check if an initial generation has already been executed. In this case you can skip this activity.
I checked transaction SMOGLASTLOG, and in our case the initial generation was not yet executed. I also couldn't continue with the next steps.
That's why I started up the job, it is finally finished after 104 hours..

Time stream generation report issue - ZZTSTRREGENERATE

Hi,
As per note 1421812 - Report to automatically generate all time streams, we have generated report ZZTSTRREGENERATE for auto generation of time streams.
But when the report is executed time streams are not getting generated. Rather we get the message ' Timestream (XXXX) not generated for year 2016, Timestream (XXXX) not generated for year 2017'.
I have checked the associated calendar in the Time stream ID and it has validity till 2020. Not sure why this is happening.
Has someone faced this ? Any pointers will be of help.

Dear Experts,
i want to know if it possible to make automatic generation of penality for employee who didn't clock OUt/IN
example :
while running the time evaluation if the system found that the employee doesn't have clock in , then automatically pass it and calculate this day as absence day without entering absence day in infotype 2006

Kathy before going to the issue please check this
When employee misses out the puch you want it to be an undpaid absence and do not want the absence day in IT2001 (i think this is incorrect since to track no of miss out we need it and also in order to sort out absences unpaid is due to Miss outs of punch in or due to leave for Un authorised we need the records)
When ever employee misses out the punch we cannot directly assume that it is absence since there might be problem in puching system in that case wht is the plan of action from SAP and does we intimate the employee that he missed out the punch in etc
In standrad this is not best procedure as the system throughs error in PCR TE20

Time Pair formation - Query

Hi Sap Experts,
I am just trying to understand the Time formation query from the table TPT_PAIRSTAT2, V_T705B
i have one clock in and two clock out in IT2011, when time evaluation runs , TIP entry comes like this
so the 14.000 will be clock in and 18 and 22.34 are the Clock out,, but i want pair formation to come like this.
14.0000 to 18.3389
18.3389 to 22.3406,
is this possible?

As mentioned by Vivek Barnwal, It is bit difficult achieve through PCR as well, Since your Clock in is 14:00 clock out is 18:3389 i.e next pair is not having clock in but you wanted to create a P10 which is 18:34 or etc (next after P20) Explore TPT_PAIRSTAT2 you may find any option else need to check with some other alternative custom developments or enhancements.
Since PCR does not work with constant's in this case,it varies with each individual we have to write a logic in such a way TIP should get update with previous P20+ 1 minute or etc.
