Time recording for Services
Dear All,
The use of time recording tab in the service purchase order. How to use that tab for service beacuse whenever i choose that tab in the service overview system shows the following error"Function not possible with this selection Message no. SE394 .

I have looked for information regarding this error and could not find anything. I would suggest that you open a ticket at SAP, as an expert should have a look at your system.

We record timestamps of the system status change from open - in progress - done.

How to maintain info record for service items? Can it be updated from quotation?

You can create purchasing info records for different procurement types (standard, subcontracting, pipeline, consignment).
You can create purchasing info records:
1. For a material with a material master record, you need the number of the material master record.
2. For a material without a material master record, the following information is required:
Material short text (short description)
Order unit
Material group
Sort term (key), for finding the info record once it has been created

Hello,
We are implementing MSS Time Approval on Portal. And want to add the Employee Group Field to the 2nd screen(i.e the Details screen) as below as a column just like Status and Recorded Time.
Can this be achieved through Configuration or requires Webdynpro ABAP Enhancement. ?

This can be done for the detailed screen ie once you click details for the times, for initial screen you need to use the modification as above, Once for times needs to be approved, you can click on Details and add the columns as below for that screen

Time Recording Status for My Team - Manager Self-Service in SAP NetWeaver Business Client - SAP Library -
Hi all. We are busy implementing Service Desk to receive service requests from all SAP clients in our landscape. I am unsure on how to setup the Business Partner and SU01 records on Solution Manager for key users (those who log service requests).
We will have 2700 key users (users that can log a service request) on various clients and our testing have shown that the service desk cannot recognise/validate the user unless they have an SU01 and Business Partner record on Solution Manager. In our scenario these users will never physically log on to Solution Manager as they do not perform any Service Desk function apart from logging requests from 3rd party SAP systems.
I was under the impression that you only need a business partner record for these users to be validated in service desk, but that seems to be wrong.
Is there anyone that can assure me that I do in fact need to create an SU01 record in Solution Manager for these users? If not, can you please advise as to how we can do it without an SU01 record for these users and only use Business Partner records?
Thanks for reading.I don't have a working SolMan I can log into right now so the answer is general. You do not need an SU01 user for every message creator. You only need a user for message processors on the SolMan system.
Note: There has been a problem for many years that SAP just won't fix. In order to get the list of BP's automatically from the satellite systems you have to have the auth object S_USER_GRP in the satellite system, then the users appear in the BP create screen in SolMan. They need to put that auth in one of the SolMan satellite system roles.
Also be carful to set the right date range in the BP auto create screen so you get the full list of users. -
Hi Gurus,
We create a purchase requisition for services and we fill in a service number on the tab services. This service number belongs to a Model Service specification and has for example a price of 42 euro in the specification. Price change and condition update of this service are not checked.
In the purchase requisition we change the price to 70 euro (service tab). After saving this requisition, SAP creates a service condition of this new price (70) and a validity from date same as creation date. The price in the model specification did not change.
We do not want to create a new service condition.
please inform me which settings causes the creation of this price condition and why are the changes for example not plant specific? I'd like to know the control behind this and if there is an option to prevent this problem.

Is there any option to maintain the cost, discount details for a service master so that while processing the purchase order, the conditions should flow from the master ( similar to our PIR )

You have actually more options for services.
1) Model Service Specifications : ML10 (You do not need service master also)
2) Service conditions at various levels(you need service master) : ML33, ML39, ML45, ML51

CATS Notifications If No Time recording for the day

I wan to trigger the Notification to employee If He is not recorded his work time for particular week.
Ex: EE worked on some tasks in particular project as per the target hours, But he forgot to fill the time shee at the end of the week. Now i want to send reminder mail notification to EE mail ID(or mail to UWL) to fill the time sheet. How to go with this requirement?!!!
Do I need work flow for this? Can i configure anything in the back end?
Pls can anyone give details on this how to fulfill this requirement?

MSS Time Approval - Detailed approval view shows time data for different PN
Hi Experts,
We're using the standard MSS time approval without workflow and here're 2 issues we have:
There're multiple time records for multiple employees in MSS for approval.
1. When manager tried to select all the records for one employee and click the "Approve" button in the collective approval screen, then all the records will be approved including records of other employees.
2. When manager click the hours of one record for a certain employee to go to the detailed/individual view, other employee's time data will be displayed in the detailed view window.

after Migration of our ess applications from WebDynpro JAVA to Web Dynpro ABAP we have a problem that sounds similar to the one you descriped above.
In POWL the button 'details' (detail view) for leave request approval seem to have no function.
Because your post is a few years old, I guess you solved the problem and hope you can share your solution with us.

How can we integrate CATS & PPM and to retrieve CATS time recording data in PPM ?
Dear experts,
Following the previous question of Ruxandra Petrina called "record times with CATS", I am facing an issue with the report DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANSF : it shows nothing despite I activated PPM accounting integration.
There are the steps I followed, I really don't understand what is missing. In PPM I can transfer and assign my projects to WBS elements automatically or manually.
1. We allowed time confirmation for projects
2. We replicated personal number as business partners
3. We activated worklists and project assignments @ data entry profiles
4. We set up ALE & RFC connections
5. We activated the integration scenarios on WBS element : automatic and manual creation of WBS element assigned to PPM elements. Then we set up data profiles for time recording in cat2.
6. We enter times, we released it (approval is not required) + saving
7; We launch the program in SE38 of both ERP or SOLMAN systems : NOTHING appears.
Our goal is to see the times recorded in CATS in the Confirmed work field of PPM.
Can you please help me out with this issue ?

If tasks assigned to a user is not listed in CAT2 worklist, then first we need to ensure that the tasks are displayed in the worklist. So the user confirm the times for the tasks using this list and after that only we should be running the report 'DPR_CATS_CPR_TRANF' to transfer the actual times entered by user in CAT2 to PPM project task.
To integrate CATS with PPM, you need to follow these steps.
Customisations:
1) Enable 'Time recording' for tasks & 'Account integration' in project type
2) Customisation related to 'Accounting integration' to be carried out (either single object / Hierarchical controlling, for testing better to use single object - Internal order, since it is easier)
3) Create a time sheet data entry profile
(Refer thread Record working times with CATS for details)
4) Ensure all object links(internal order / WBS) RFC destinations are updated correctly.
Master data:
Business partners creation with BUP003-Employee role & link to HR personnel number
(This is not required if HR integration is activated, since the system creates the BP's automatically. But manually we need to validate the BP's for linkage with few users)
Project:
1) Create project using customised project type (where time recording/accounting integration is enabled)
2) Structure the project with phase/tasks
3) Update duration/work etc., to the tasks
3) Create project roles & staff a resource (BP which is validated for HR personnel number linkage).
4) Assign task to project role with resource in Project role-->task tab
6) Release the project definition and also check for phase/tasks release
7) Change the status of project definition to 'Flag for transfer' (Can be done before project release also)
8) Check whether the internal order / PS project with WBS is created in ERP system(Based on customisation) and linked to project. Check can be made in accounting tab of the project. (If it is not created, then check for object link RFC destination correctness)
In case of automatic internal order creation process, you need to enter the org unit. data in project definition-->additional data of the project.
CATS:
After completing all the steps, the task assigned to the user will appear in the CAT2 transaction.
1) User can confirm the task with actual hours.
2) Run the CATS transfer report mentioned above to update the data in PPM project.

Since you don’t allow emails any more – I suspect because of the numerous complaints with your service and the way you treat people that you don’t want documented, I am calling and I want this call recorded for future reference.
I have been a long time faithful customer of vzw and although the past year I have been late on payments many times and really couldn’t afford your exorbitant prices for services lots of other companies offer sometimes three times cheaper than what you charge, I have hung in there trying my best to meet my obligations.
This month has been no exception. You don’t know the background; the whole story of people’s lives. I know you could care less because all you care about is the profit-the money that comes in.
I was told when I agreed to pay my bill on the third per the recorded message that I had 14 days to pay…you cut me off anyway. The phones are not the tissue; your suspending my service means I cannot work. I may lose my job…how do you justify that? In any case? The least you could do would be to keep 4986 on and cut the phones off. But no. You refuse to compromise and meet the basic needs of your customer. What does that say about your company? I tried to call back on three separate occasions to tell you I couldn’t pay because of unexpected expenses but couldn’t get out of the automated system…sadly couldn’t get to a real person which also speaks volumes to me.
All this tells me this is a company I don’t wish to be affiliated with any more. As soon as I can, I will discontinue service with you…I know you could care less. I will honor the remaining portion of the contract but that’s it. You don’t deserve my business. I am a good, hardworking person who, at the sacrifice of myself and my needs, always pays her bills…albeit late at times. I realize others tell you stories and lies to justify themselves. That’s not me. If you knew what I had been through the last 7 yrs you would marvel that I am still on my feet…don’t judge too quickly. You could be wrong…and in my eyes you are by doing this to me.
God will see us through this extremely scary time of that I have no doubt. No thanks to your company and lack of understanding and mercy. I am doing the best I can. Sadly you are not.
See I have choices. MANY choices of providers for services you offer. I don’t have to be treated like this. I don’t have to succumb to your coldness and callousness. I intend to choose better (and cheaper). If your company doesn’t get the “people factor” back you will be sorry.Problem here is you admit you cannot afford the service.
And you want to blame Verizon for losing a job because you have no cell phone.
If your job depends on that phone I would pay it on time every time if you need a job to pay your bill.
No other service is going to treat you any different. And if you cannot afford Verizon's monthly invoice how are you going to afford new devices, activation fees, possible security deposits on any other cellular carrier? You can't.
Also if you made an arraignment to pay and then decide you cannot do so, why should Verizon extend you service or credit, or why is it you want to use the service and data and not pay for it as agreed.
Get a prepay phone. Its evident the cost is too high for you to afford on post pay.

its still under warrenty. please help.Take your iPhone to an Apple Store or authorized service center in the country where you purchased the iPhone and they will look at it and replace it under warranty if applicable.
If you cannot take it person contact them to determine how to send them your phone.
You can't expect them to replace your iPhone without first examining it. -
Report of result recording for multiple batches in a given time span .

I am looking for a standard SAP report that gives the details of result recording with all the characteristics for mulitple batches in a given span of time . The MICs will show the actual values recorded for each of the batches.
The colums may be like this
material/batche/lot/quanity/mic1 value/mic2 value/mic 3 value...........
A standard report is prefered and we would also like to have a trend analysis done for the batches .
