Timeout issue in Bulk Edit Tool

Hi,
I request help to resolve an issue in Bulk Edit Tool (Solution Starter). I have deployed Bulk Edit Tool in Ms Project Server 2010 environment. However, I am facing following issue in Bulk Edit:
After entering filter criteria in the first page of Bulk Edit wizard, the wizard just displays Loading Content. However, no projects are filtered and displayed.
I couldn't find any messages in ULS logs and App Server logs to troubleshoot this issue. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Abhijit,
Frankly I have never been able to get the bulk edit tool to work.
I know few other people had success using it but for me t always hanged up and froze when I tried to use it. Since this is not officially supported any more, I can only suggest that you try a different
solution or start looking into the source code itself.
Cheers,

  • Getting the "401 : Unauthorized" exception with bulk edit tool in Project Server 2010

    Hi all,
We are using the Bulkedit tool in our Project server 2010 environment.
When users click the button "bulk edit projects" from the ribbon, it is giving the error with a correlation id.
I checked the id in uls logs and find that it is giving the below message.
Does anyone know why we are getting this error ?

    Hi Paul,
    Thanks for your reply.
The loopbackcheck was already disabled. The users who are accessing the url from the client machines also getting this error.

  • Unity 4.2.1 Bulk Edit Error

    Hi there,
I just recently upgraded my Unity Voicemail Only server from 3.1.3 to 4.2.1.
Everything is working correctly, but I have one issue.
Normally, I use the Bulk Edit tool to set a Subscriber's voicemail to loopback to self on an Error during a Subscriber's greeting, so that if a caller starts randomly entering digits during the greeting and the digits entered do not match anything, the Subscriber's greeting just replays rather than the caller getting thrown out to the default Unity Greeting ('Cisco Unity Messsaging System, from a touch tone phone...).
Since the upgrade, I am getting the following error when I use Bulk Edit to try and set 'loopback to self' on an Error on the Bulk Edit Greetings tab:

(error) this subscriber is missing notification devices! This is a serious error, you shoudl contact TAC.
I downloaded the most recent version of dBWalker and it runs clear, I took care of all of the errors and warnings it listed, but I still get the errors when I run the Bulk Edit utility.
It appears that all of the greetings are in place for these Subscribers, that all of the Subscriber's greetings are set to take a message after the greeting, so I am not really sure what this error is.
It does not appear to be effecting the Unity system's performance yet, but I am worried that this error indicitive of other issues.
If anyone has any insight in tot this error and would let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thanks a lot!!

    Hi Heather,
I've taken a look at the "(error) this subscriber is missing notification devices!" error
There's a bugID which matches up with the error you are seeing which relates to the SMS entry for notifications not being added to the NotificationDevice table which results in the same error and the resolution there was a customized SQL query to insert the required rows. We'll need to gather more information in order to confirm if
this is the same issue (and to build the custom query)
    For your reference the bugID is;
CSCed64238 - SMS entry is not added to SQL table for existing user after upgrade
Please run SQL Query Analyzer, select the UnityDb and run following query:
SELECT subscriberobjectid, alias, subscribertype from subscriber
Then copy the output and insert it into an Excel spreadsheet and send that to me.
Using this data, we will then build the SQL query that you will have to execute to get all
the rows inserted so that you no longer get the BulkEdit error...

  • Unity 4.05 Bulk import and bulk edit PIN issue

    Hi Unity community!
I have previously used Bulk Import successfully many times in the past. Now however, it appears the DTMF PIN is not being assigned the default PIN for some reason. Also tried defining explicitly in csv input, no help. All subscribers add ok, put when trying to access mailbox for first time it says PIN is not valid. Also tried using bulk edit after the fact to force PIN to a known value. (with trivial psw allowed turned on). Bulk Edit says it changed PIN but same result. Does not take PIN. If we create a mailbox using standard Web/sa Add subscriber. it works fine, default PIN works.  Any thoughts? Thanks, Tim

When you were placing the internal test calls, where was your phone located?   The RTP streams are usually only set up between the two endpoints (assuming no transcoder or MTP is used).
Have you have already checked calls between IP phones at your central site (where Unity is located) and IP Phones at site A?   Are these working fine?   If not, then it's likely you do have a QoS issue over the WAN to Site A.
Have you confirmed whether or not calls from the PSTN gateway at site A experience any voice QoS issues when transferred to an IP Phone at the central site?
Is the same codec is being used for the MGCP gateway as for IP Phones at that site (check the Region settings for the Device Pool it's in)?
If these things have all been checked, then you may want to consider collecting a simultaneous sniffer trace from each end of a single call, and comparing what's seen at the two endpoints.
    Kind regards,
    Craig

    Hi All,
I am getting this strange error in MS CRM 2013
When I do bulk edit for any entity , I select 2-3 records and click on Edit , the Bulk edit form opens
then whenever I clicks on any field which is lookup type It does not open , after debugging with F12 developer tool
I am getting this error.    "'$P_CRM' is undefined"
I have MS CRM 2013 on premise , Service Pack 1 Update Rollup 1 installed and using IE 11.
    Any Idea

Few questions that might help us to identify issue:
    1. Have you enabled Social Insight  ? If yes can you try bulk edit on entity which don't have social insight enabled and confirm if it repro there?
For more information on how to enable Social Insight :

    2. When you close bulk edit form are you getting script error dialog? If yes can you share that error log reports?

  • Svn with Apache Timeout issue

    Hello Archers,
I've set up an svn Server with Apache folloing your wiki on my raspberry pi.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/LAMP
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Subversion_Setup
Unfortunately I get errors when I try to commit several files (15 or so). I think it is a timeout issue, however I don't know where to specify the timeout in the httpd.conf (or httpd-ssl.conf)
This is a client error message:
    Commit failed (details follow):
    Unexpected end of svndiff Input
And this the corresponding server side log:
[date] [dav:error] [pid 448:tid 2854220848] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 192.168.178.55:63819] Timeout reading the body (URI: /Dokumente/!svn/txr/9-q/Music/myfile.mp3) [408, #0]

I assume it is some error like this: http://subversion.apache.org/faq.html#s … -truncated
I think I don't have specified the timeouts correctly, since I haven't found the default option.
    tl:dr
Do you know how to set the timeouts in the apache configuration file?
I very much appreciate your help.

    # the standard Auth/DBMAuth methods can be used for access control. The
    # user name is the `one line' version of the client's X.509 certificate.
    # Note that no password is obtained from the user. Every entry in the user
    # file needs this password: `xxj31ZMTZzkVA'.
    # o ExportCertData:
    # This exports two additional environment variables: SSL_CLIENT_CERT and
    # SSL_SERVER_CERT. These contain the PEM-encoded certificates of the
    # server (always existing) and the client (only existing when client
    # authentication is used). This can be used to import the certificates
    # into CGI scripts.
    # o StdEnvVars:
    # This exports the standard SSL/TLS related `SSL_*' environment variables.
    # Per default this exportation is switched off for performance reasons,
    # because the extraction step is an expensive operation and is usually
    # useless for serving static content. So one usually enables the
    # exportation for CGI and SSI requests only.
    # o StrictRequire:
    # This denies access when "SSLRequireSSL" or "SSLRequire" applied even
    # under a "Satisfy any" situation, i.e. when it applies access is denied
    # and no other module can change it.

    # SSL Protocol Adjustments:
    # The safe and default but still SSL/TLS standard compliant shutdown
    # approach is that mod_ssl sends the close notify alert but doesn't wait for

    # approach you can use one of the following variables:
    # o ssl-unclean-shutdown:
    # This forces an unclean shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. no
    # SSL close notify alert is sent or allowed to be received. This violates
    # the SSL/TLS standard but is needed for some brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this when you receive I/O errors because of the standard approach where
    # mod_ssl sends the close notify alert.
    # o ssl-accurate-shutdown:
    # This forces an accurate shutdown when the connection is closed, i.e. a
    # SSL close notify alert is send and mod_ssl waits for the close notify
    # alert of the client. This is 100% SSL/TLS standard compliant, but in
    # practice often causes hanging connections with brain-dead browsers. Use
    # this only for browsers where you know that their SSL implementation
    # works correctly.
    # Notice: Most problems of broken clients are also related to the HTTP
    # keep-alive facility, so you usually additionally want to disable
    # keep-alive for those clients, too. Use variable "nokeepalive" for this.
    # Similarly, one has to force some clients to use HTTP/1.0 to workaround
    # their broken HTTP/1.1 implementation. Use variables "downgrade-1.0" and
    # "force-response-1.0" for this.

  • Need help with imovie photos extension. I am not able to view the editing tools no matter what I do!!!! Help please ASAP

I Have read a lot of tutorials or whatever but Im not able to view the editing tools from imovie in the photos app. I have tried the trimmer thing and the yellow outline does appear but the only options available are "play, trim or cancel". I really really want to use the filters and stuff so please help me if you can!
    Thanks!

Well, everything that you have bought with her Apple ID prior to getting your own Apple ID is forever hers. Apple will not transfer content from one ID to another. But in the case of the Mac, contact iTunes Customer Service and request that they send your issue to the Account Security Team and ask that the Mac be released form your mother's account so you may register it with your account. Then you can accept the iLife apps into your account for any future updates.

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.
    Similar issue: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/783078
edit: If you go to the Firebug forums, you'll see this is now a known problem. http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4012 for the issue tracker.

  • Lightroom 5.2 freezes when using the spot edit tool with Wacom Intuos 5

    Hi,
I've been using Photoshop 6.x with my Intuos 5 for almost a year and it's been great.  I recently purchased Lightroom 5.2 only to discover that when I use the spot edit tool that it freezes when i use this tool as a brush.  It starts off smooth, but after brushing across my area i want to clone/heal, Lightroom seems to freeze up, and the spot edit tool is unusable.  I can lift my pen off the tablet and a few seconds later Lightroom comes back, but the tablet is basically unusable to me.  The mouse works perfectly fine.
I've read other posts at the end of last year '12, that walks through some regedits and disabling some other tablet functions, but none of those work for me.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks Ed

I solved my own issue.  I saw an article @ http://www.lightroomforums.net/showthread.php?19694-Spot-removal-tool-doesn-t-work-with-Wa com-Intuos-5-in-LR-5 that solved my issue.
    Step 1:
    Walcom Tablet Properties
    Step 2:
Click on Customize and change the default line graph from this:
    Step 3:
    To this
    Step 4:
    Click OK.
After that, my spot edit tool stopped freezing in LR 5.2 while i was using my intuos 5 pen.
Prior to doing this, I also did the procedure listed here:  http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8036
So it's possible that both need to be done in order for the freezing to stop.  I hope this can help others.

  • SNMP Service Timeout Issue

    Hi,
I am facing SNMP timeout issue with 3 of my Windows Servers (2008 R2 Enterprise Edition). I am using Network Monitoring System to monitor devices. The issue I am facing with these servers is that the NMS is not able to poll CPU and Memory graphs.
I have restarted the SNMP service many times but no use. I rebooted one server and Its problem is gone. But rest of the two servers are still with the same condition (not rebooted yet).
I used the "Paessler SNMP Tester" to check the issue but sometimes it passes and mostly gives "No response" or "Timeout".
I also used "SnmpWalk.exe"  with command 'snmpwalk -r:<server ip> -c:community' but after processing few OID's it gives error "%Failed to get value of SNMP variable. Timeout."
Can anyone help to identify the problem and how to resolve it?

    Hi Zain,
Can you try to ping your server with the command "ping your server ip
-t"? It may be a network issue.
Besides, is there any warning or error related SNMP in the event viewer of the server? It may give some hints.
Here is a article about how to troubeshoot SNMP,
    Troubleshooting SNMP
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738839(v=WS.10).aspx
    Best Regards.
    Steven Lee
    TechNet Community Support
    Hi Steven,
Thank you for the response. I tested "SnmpWalk" both locally on the same server and from network as well but the response is same
"%Failed to get value of SNMP variable. Timeout.". However, I have checked the ping response and it is very much smooth. The server is actually an Active Directory Domain Controller.
The article you provided above applies to Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2. I have Windows Server 2008 R2 installed on servers.
Can you provide me the event id for any warning or error related to SNMP for Windows Server 2008 R2? It would be then easy for me to filter the alerts.
    Thank you!

  • Bulk Edit in iTunes

When I go to edit a batch of files in iTunes (say all of my Podcasts or music to make them all the same volume), I get this message "Your selection contains more than one kind of media. All items must be the same kind in order to view or edit them together." All of omy music is the same kind (MPEG) and shows as such when I view Kind in the sort-by. I want to edit my entire library but since 11.1, I can't because apparently my files are not the same kind even when they show as being such. What is happening here?
And while I'm at it, I miss being able to delete Podcasts and not just see them in the subscription list hovering in the cloud. I want them gone so as not to clutter everything.

Hmm. This is really weird - the greyed-out issue describes and perhaps explains one mismatch, but I've got another pair that makes no sense at all:
Both files are "Media Kind: Music", both with black, and easily changeable.
    Both in iTunes Media/Music folder.
    Both AAC audio files.
Both with file suffixes m4a (and yes, that capitalization).
Yet I'm unable to bulk edit the two of them. Even if I change both of them, separately, to Audiobooks, they still can't be editted together. The only difference I can see in the Summary file is "Encoded with" (iTunes v6.0.1 versus v6.0.2).
As a side issue: when you Get Info for one track in iTunes, are you able to use the Previous or Next buttons? My system hangs when I try do that, and eventually I have to Force Quit iTunes.

  • Enhancement request: Bulk edit features

As much as I love Apex and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread (what's so great about sliced bread anyway!), after one gains a certain amount of proficiency with using the tool, one realizes that there are many areas where the Builder application simply gets in your way. You know exactly what you want to do, you know how to do it, but the Apex Builder doesn't support a "do this 20 times" feature!
    For instance
    1. Deleting multiple pages - This came up on another thread recently. The Builder makes you click 2 buttons (Delete and Confirm) to delete a page and then takes you to page 0 (or the previous page or something) and then you need to go back to the next page and repeat the process.
There should be a "delete multiple pages" feature in the Builder
    2. Creating a list - I have a bunch of links/URLs that I would like to create a list from. The Builder interface (tabular form) has us add each list entry at a time.
I would prefer that it has a honking big textarea where I could dump all the links at once and it creates all the list entries at once. I could always go and tweak individual entries if I like.
Same thing for adding to other Shared components like LOVs, breadcrumbs, tabs, etc. I am not saying a textarea-based interface would work for everything, but anything has to be better than doing it one by one.
    3. Access to the Report Column Attributes page - This is too painful to access.
Click on Edit page, click on Report, click on the column you want. 3 clicks!
Instead, there should be a Quick Edit link next to each report column when the page is run that pops up the same page.
    4. Attaching a authorization scheme (or condition or build option or any applicable thing really) to a bunch of components at once.
The Builder should have a nifty search page where we could search/filter (by name, component type, page#, etc) for the components we want and then allow us to apply a an "action" (i.e. auth. scheme) to all the selected components at once. Doing this one by one is error-prone, time-consuming and just plain boring!
That's all that comes to mind at this time, I am sure others will have more.
    Thanks

    Mike: Thanks for responding.
    1. You misunderstand what I wrote about report columns. Marc Sewtz understood what I meant at Re: Enhancement request: Quick edit links for column attributes
is very easy to bulk change (on the back end); the hard part is devising the proper screens for bulk change (font end)
    2. Absolutely, agree 100%. Which is why it might make sense for Oracle to expose metadata manipulation APIs (apex_metadata package similar to dbms_metadata!) so that power users can effect changes to the application metadata without going through the Builder at all!
We talked about this at Bulk edit items
Many of the application reports allow for bulk change operations
Right, but realistically speaking, you can never anticipate and build screens for all the things we would like to do. Which is why a command-line API would be invaluable.
Just recently, I needed to change a bunch of HTML regions' templates in a application from Report Region to Hide/Show template. I couldn't find an application report/bulk edit page that let me do this, it was quite painful to do in the Builder.
Another case in point: I used the "Form on SQL Query" wizard to quickly create a form page with a bunch of fields. But unfortunately, unlike the "Form on Table wizard", this wizard is not smart enough to create page items with a display-as depending on the datatype of the columns in the query. It creates all the form items as Text Fields. :-( There is no bulk-edit page (that I could find) that lets me change the display-as property for multiple items.
If you or others have UI sugestions
    3. As you may know, whenever I think of something that the Apex product could benefit from (an enhancement request IMHO), I post a thread on the forum with a subject line that clearly indicates as such.
    To summarize, here they are:
Re: Enhancement request: Validation attached to process
Enhancement request: Buttons in report regions

    Is that enough? :-)

  • Text Edit Tool icon missing in Acrobat Standard X

    Hi,
In Acrobat 8 Standard, when I click "Text Edit Tool" icon, I can start insert, delete or replce text comments without re-click any  "insert", "delete" or "replace" icon in the Text Edit Tool until I press"Esc" key.
I just install Acrobat Standard X these days, It moved the commenting annotation to the right panel with those fancy icons.  Looks great!  However, I have to click on the "Insert", "delete" or "replace" icon on every action.  I am wondering if Acrobat remove the great feature or I am missing something?
p.s.  Just found ouy it is called "Text Correction Markup" in Acrobat Reader XI.  I can't image paid Acroabat Standard X has less feature than Acrobat Reader XI.  Hopefully, Adobe can have a Update to add the "accidentally removed" feature back to Standard X.
    Thanks

Is there no response from Adobe? It's a serious issue that this useful tool was removed (or hidden?) in Adobe X.
I use Acrobat for collaboration for much of my work, and it's a significant burden to have to click on each tool individually.

  • Connection 8.5 Bulk Edit Enable Unified Messaging (Single Inbox)

    Running Unity Connection 8.5(1)SU1
I setup 1 user for Single Inbox (http to Exchange 2003 via WebDav) he's working great.
Now I want to enable Single Inbox for the remaining 345 subscribers. They are already LDAP integrated. We just moved from Unity Unified 7.0 (with Exchange 2003) to Unity Connection 8.5
How do I use Bulk Edit to enable the remaining subscriber for Unified Messaging/Single Inbox?
Jeff - would be great if COBRAS going from Unity Unfiied Messaging to Unity Connection Unified Messaging would automatically configure everything since it already knows the Exchange alias, etc.
I attached a sample Bulk Edit > Unified Messaging update that failed
    "Failure Reason",subscriberalias,servicedisplayname,optionalserviceaccountid,umemailaddress,emailaddressusecorp,enablecalendar,enablemeeting,enablembxsynch,isprimarymeetingservice,logintype,userid,userprofilenumber

Figured it out.I hope this helps.

  • Editing Tools are unavailable

I have downloaded two individual Creative Cloud subscriptions. The are running on identical computers (Dell M4700), the same operating system (Windows 7) and the same company network.
On one of the computers, InDesign is working perfectly. All of the tools are available and files can be imported, created, edited, etc. with no issues. It also has imported all pre-existing style sheets with no problems at all.
However, on the other computer, none of the editing tools are working. Many of the tools are grayed out, while others, such as the font window for editing text, are clickable but I cannot select any of the options.
Is there a way to uninstall and re-install InDesign from the Cloud? Or is this a problem with preferences? The software is pretty much useless in its current state (on the one computer only).
All other programs downloaded from the Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere) are working fine on both computers.

Thank you. The Aero issue seems to have been what was mucking things up. I have disabled that and InDesign seems to be working properly now.
    I really appreciate it!
