For the very first time since I first purchased a T-Box, which was many years now. I tried using your 'free' Thursday Movie!What a nightmare that was!I was asked for pin numbers etc, what for?I've learnt my lesson, I'll never user yout 'Free', service again.I'm almost 70 and I don't need all this superficial crap about nothing. Since you rendered T-Box into a usless piece of junk that cost me $300.00, for looking at the weather or Footy, both of which I'm not really interested in.I can no longer enjoy 'YouTube', but instead I can watch 'Presto' for 3 or 6 months by stealth and then it's on my monthly bill!I've been paying around $150.00 per month for almost 10 years now and it's been an investment in a blackhole! I'm about to become a pensioner and I really think I should be looking elswhere to satisfy my needs online and by landline. I've had a couple of late payments and Telstra is right onto it like a Butchers dog! On the several occasions that I've visited Telstra's office in my local Shopping Center, all I seem to get is bull**bleep** and the only time they followed up my question was with some else's answer!They look down on you as not as important as themselves, certainly not as a customer. I've got better deals from your Philippines call centre. I used to work in customer service for an international company and I simply could not treat customers (people) as your company does. I've talked to many people about Telstra and have yet to hear a good word from anybody. Perhaps, those who are in charge might get off their asses and find out what the general public think of Telstra! I'm so frustrated with Telstra's lies, bull**bleep** and unwillingness to actually help! What a sleepy, complacient, rule driven company that is just ripe for a smart company to take over! A totally disatisfied Customer, Koanchi, Melbourne.  

YouTube is no longer available due to Google changing the interface and not making it backwards compatible with older devices... there were a lot of devices which were no longer supported following googles decision on that one...  Stores are very often pretty unhelpful... for the most part they are only interested in sales, because that is what makes the licencees money, and in return makes the agents money... that is my experience at least.... If you ever need to contact Telstra and want a team who are usually the best at actually looking after the customer it is the disconnection team, they are in Adelaide during normal hours and are usually well trained in resolving issues. (132200 and say Disconnect, they are the loyalty team too and may even be able to offer you a better solution to suit you better)  With the late payment fees, they are pretty common and are regulated, however, in my expereince and the expereince of a number of other users here is that if you are normally on top of it and it was a once off or very uncommon thing, or you have a valid reason to be late in payment that Telstra are pretty lenient witth them and will wipe off the late payment fee... just not every month.... But, in the end it is your right to choose who you shop with as far as all products and services go, if you are not happy then you have the right to change providers...

    It sounds as if you are being asked for your system password, the one you chose when you first switched on your computer. But perhaps you are mixing this up with your Adobe password. Easily done, but stop doing that and put in the right password.

    Hi I am newbie - prior to addressing this question -I have read numerous posts to try and find a solution to this problem but am still unsure as how to resolve it - I transferred a number of photo''s from PC to Mac when I purchased the Mac earlier this year - the iphoto events do not reflect the folders in chronological date that I had in picasa -  - it seems that iphoto categorize events (even if unnamed) according to exifdata -
    The problem I am faced with is that by way of example - although a folder has been titled December 23 2006( and is reflected as an event) - the date reflected in iphoto is January 1 1980 - December 31 2005 (according to erroneous data transfer / incorrect date on the camera (possibly the default date)---- these dates can be seen in grey to the bottom left of the named event which is December 23 2006(when you run your mouse beneath the event title (or unnamed event)
    I tried to change the date , by adjusting the date within iphoto and doing batch change - the problem is that while I have appeared to change the date - the grey dates (1980-1985) remain - I have tried to research an exif editor that would do this - I found better finder attributes 5 - which I have not yet purchased - According to the website of better finder attributes 5 -it seems that if  photo's are already in iphoto with the incorrect exif date date - then you need to export the photo's you are attempting to correct -then run better finder attributes 5 -change the exif information and then import them back into iphoto with the correct date
    my questions
    1. If  I use  better finder attributes 5 - will the grey date (1980-1985) go away once I import the batch of photos with the correct amended date ?
    2. Is better finder attributes 5 the simpliest and easiest exif editor to use in conjuntion with iphoto ?

    Possibly, but another thing to try:
    Select all the photos in an Event. Flag Them. Then go 'Create Event from Flagged Photos'

    No, iPhoto is. And if it involves exporting from iPhoto, running the program and then re-importing that's hardly "in conjunction with iPhoto"

    Apart from iPhoto no. The problem here is simply that the database is not rechecking the dates on the photos as you update them, and then updating the Event dates. Creating a new Event from the same photos should force that correction.

    I have been researching what type of equipment would be best for filming and editing a professional looking film. I have been reading reviews for HD camcorders as well as video editing software. From everything I've read Final Cut Pro appears to be the best choice for software, but I can't seem to figure out which camcorder will work best with a MAC and Final Cut Pro. I will be starting from scratch so I'll be purchasing a camcorder, computer and software. I also want to make sure that I can take a class to learn to use the software. My total budget will be around $4000.

    I also bought Final Cut Pro 5, a powerbook G4 17", and an (SD) video-camera about 5 years ago for a little project overseas. It worked very well. I used a 500 GB external HD connected by firewire for footage and scratch. I also used the offlineRT setting when importing footage into my project as it used about 1/9th the space as it normally would. When I was finished editing I was able to automatically switch all the low res footage with the original high-res stuff. (I'm not sure if this option is still available for HD footage). I'm now considering starting a small business and upgrading my final cut to the latest final cut studio, my old powerbook for a new loaded macbook pro 17", and a new HD POV-style video-camera.

    We are trying to figure out the most user friendly way to save office documents to different site collection document libraries.  The locations appear fine when we click "save as" for recent folders.  We can even click browse and use
    the up arrow for getting closer to the root path of the site.  This works fine, but there is not an easy way navigate to a different site collection.  Sure, I can copy/paste the web address in the file path, but I think that is asking too much for
    basic end users.  Is there a different approach I am not aware of?

  • BT- Probably the most useless company in the world...

    After 2 or 3 years of hell with this company and nobody willing to help I thought I would write here so anybody else thinking of joining BT will make the correct decision and stay as far away as possible.
    Firstly after moving house 3 times and being told we would not need an engineer visit when moving and would not be charged they still decided to take the cost of an engineer visit out of our bank account(about £130) all 3 times 2 of which took us overdrawn in our bank account incurring £25 costs and damaging our credit rating. Did anybody at BT care, NO! Managed to get our money back but obviously not the charges incurred from our bank or the damage to our credit score.
    We have now moved house again and been without Internet for 2 months. They claim they cannot re connect the line as someone else owns it. This is probably the most stupid thing I have ever heard the person who used to live here isn't exactly going to magic back into the house and start using it again. We could have another line connected at our own cost. Obviously they have still been charging us for a service we have not had which again we had to call and get refunds for. Does anybody at care, NO!
    So we still have no Internet. We finally managed to get them to see some sense after some very long and tedious phone calls they eventually assured us all our services would be active by the 30th of July. As I sit here today not to my surprise we still have no Internet and no phone line. After another long phone call they tell us we will have Internet by the 7th of august although were not holding out any hopes.
    After reading online it seems many people have the same  issues. BT are obviously not capable of looking after any of its customers, even long standing customers such as ourselves. Even when we decided enough was enough and wanted to cancel our service all together we could not do that unless we paid them £230 or something similar.
    We will of course be leaving BT at the earliest opportunity when we are not tied to the stupid contracts we have had to start again each time we move house. Had it Up to the eyeballs with the poor service and them robbing money from our bank account. I would advise anybody else to stay as far away from BT as possible.
    Shame on you BT.

    You just copy the stamp files from one machine and place them in the correct directory on the other. You can find the location of both the user and app stamp directories by running the following code in the interactive JavaScript console:
    app.getPath("user", "stamps");
    app.getPath("app", "stamps");
    Select both lines and press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or cmd+enter (Mac). Here's what I get with this using Acrobat 11 on a Mac:
    user folder: /Macintosh HD/Users/georgejohnson/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0/Stamps/
    app folder: /Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Acrobat XI Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app/Contents/Built-in/Comments.acroplugin/Stamps/
    The stamp files (PDFs) might have cryptic looking names, but you can safely open each to see what stamps they contain.

    Then I'd check the system drive, if it has problems.
    To check your System drive boot into the Recovery Partition, see: OS X Lion: About Lion Recovery
    Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R), and keep holding them until the Apple icon appears, indicating that your Mac is starting up.
    You will see a panel, where you can use Disk Utility to check your System Drive.

    4 CAS Servers behind F5 Load balancer and 7 Mailbox servers are configured in DAG.

    - For most of the users Outlook shows 'Disconnected' state and outlook will not connect even if you restart the client PC.
    - All effected users are from different databases and are on different mailbox servers.
    - For all the effected users, we are receiving 9646 Event for exceeding 32 MAPI Sessions. And this event is coming on all mailbox servers at same time, So I am thinking it is some common problem, but couldn't figured it out.
    -- To fix the issue i have restarted the Exchange servers..
    - In RPC Logs, I can see Session drop errors.

    Please check whether there is a service account for a third-party application that interacts with Exchange server.
    Generally, event 4969 occurs because the default maximum number(by default the value is 32) of connections that an account can open was exceeded. There should be a mapi session in your Event description. Please run the following cmdlet to grant the service
    account the "View Information Store status" permission:
    Add-ADPermission -Identity “Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)” -User account_or_group_name
    -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights "View information store status" -InhertanceType Descendents

    My apologies if I have broached this topic somewhat before. I bought my first computer last fall and was not that familiar with Windows based machines at the time. Currently, I just surf the internet and check my email in yahoo. I'd like to get more out of my machine and become more savvy. I own the Leopard missing manual, however its not the most fun book to read cover to cover. I have picked up some information from visiting websites like Macworld. What are the desert island books and the best websites by consensus for learning? As I have a lot of time on my hands, what would be the best way to go about learning? I need help pertaining all aspects of computing. From learning to type to peripherals, software and hardware included. Thanks much!

    I'm going to go against the crowd here and say that if you don't find David Pogue's book "The Missing Manual" interesting, then you are not interested in learning about the computer. It's an excellent book, well written and readable and thoroughly informative about how your computer works. BUT It's no big deal if you're not interested: Apple computers are basically made for people who want to use them, as opposed to understanding them or tinkering with them. Figure out what you want to use your computer for, and approach the learning process from that direction.
