Tool for migrating Weblogic XML files to OC4J 9.0.4

hi,
Are there any tools available to convert the Weblogic 6.1 xml files (like weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar,weblogic-cmp-rdbms-rmm-jar) to oc4j xml files like orion-ejb-jar.xml ?
Any info/link is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

  • Virtual directory path from weblogic.xml file in servlet

    HI All,
    I want to get the virtual directory path in servlet, which is specified in the weblogic.xml file
    Regards,

    Sure, put it in your WEB-INF directory. That should be in your servlet's classpath when it runs. UseInputStream is = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("/config.xml");to read it.

  • Tools for generating weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml files

    Hi All:
    I am using Weblogic 8.1 sp6 and MyEclipse 5.1.
    Does anybody knows if weblogic 8.1 provides a wizard or tool or some product that will help you generate the
    weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml and webloigc-ejb-jar.xml files if given the ejb-jar.xml, the home, remote and bean classes and the database server information.
    The reason, I am asking this is because if you're using Hibernate, there is a hibernate tool that will generate the hbm.xml and persistence classes given a particular database information.
    I was wondering if there is the same thing in ejb development with weblogic 8.1 sp6?
    Yours,
    Desperate

    I think u r some confusion with productID and SuppliedID . primary key of one column( productId ) can be a foreign key of other table colum( SuppliedID). but foreign key( SuppliedID) can not be a primary key of second table .u declared SuppliedId as primary key . so ur mapping is incorrect.

  • Best technique for "stripping" an XML file

    I've been coding Java for a while now, but this is my first foray into Java-based XML processing. Here's the problem:
    I want to take an XML file, extract from it a simpler data set, and output that as a new XML file. (Parse, extract, serialize.) There are a ton of very powerful tools in the API, but I don't want an overcomplicated system. What are the best tools for simple processing?
    (Why am I not using XSLT? I need to take in parameters from the command line, and the data set is large, so I want smart caching. Also, the server will need to read the XML file repeatedly to check for permission data.)

    A little background info:
    I use KimDaBa, a photo organizer for Linux. It stores metadata for the photos in a single large XML file. I've succeeded in having the 2000-photo database display directly in a browser (using XSLT). What I want to do is display a subset of the images, the ones tagged as being publishable under a Creative Commons license.
    A lot of the metadata is sensitive. I don't want to reveal location information for everything, and not all the photos are for public release. As a result, serving the whole file to the browser and using XSLT to transform it is not an option. (I'm also not sure I want to get into server-side XSLT.)
    One issue here is that the images directory is by default not servable to the web. I'll have a PHP script check each image request to see if the image is mentioned in the stripped database. That's what I meant by permission data.
    Once I have a stripped version of the database, I can easily slap together some XSLT, CSS, and JS for convenient browser display.
    So, I think pure XSLT won't cut it.

  • Console WAR deployment editor tool damage my web.xml file

    I put many servlet and servlet-mapping items in web.xml file. When I deployed my
    web app into weblogic 7.0 SP1 server, I use the console to open the deployment
    description, and change some parameters for the servlet. After I clicked the persist
    button, the web.xml file was changed, but some servlet and servlet-mapping items
    was removed unexpected.
    Why?
    When I start the server in Development mode, this error occured rather often.
    In the product mode, this error occured a few times.
    My operation steps:
    1. undeploy the original app from console
    2. copy the new war file to the applications directory, overwrite the old one
    3. use the console to open the deployment description, make the changes
    4. persist the changes
    5. re-deploy the web app
    Please give the solution as soon as possible

  • Build a tool for controlling a copy file operation base on its file size in any folder of Window Explorer

    Hi all,
    We are developing a tool which will control a copy file operation in any folder of Window Explorer base on file size limit.
    If these copied files are not satisfied the file size condition (its size is larger than a predefined value), the copy/move operation must not be executed.
    My question is that: "Are there any availability support of Windows API/tool for implementing this feature?"

    Hi Mr_Le,
    Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
    Based on your description, I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue, since this forum is to discuss:
    Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System, and Visual Studio Editor.
    To help you find the correct development forum for this issue, please tell me the real project type (Winforms or others) and the real development language (C#, VB or others) you want to use.
    If you are not very sure that which kind of project fulfils this requirement, maybe the language development forum would be better for this issue:

  • Tools for migrating data (documents) from MS SQL to Oracle

    Hi,
    Please let me know if there any tools available for migrating documents from one database like MS SQL to Oracle. Currently our documents are stored in MS SQL and we are planning to implement KM for document management with Oracle as the database.
    Regards,
    Suresh

    The old manual style still works - create the scripts for the migration objects, then use search & replace to rename the schema for all affected objects and finally run the SQL script to create them in the Oracle database.

  • Problem for XSL copying  XML file with Error in expression '*|/'.

    Hi,
    I am trying to convert xml file to another xml through command-line interface but failed.
    java oracle.xml.parser.v2.oraxsl data.xml data.xsl data_new.xml
    My sample xml and xsl files are:

    <employee_row>
    <employee_number>7950</employee_number>
    <employee_name>ABC</employee_name>
    <employee_title>PRESIDENT</employee_title>
    <manager>1111</manager>
    <date_of_hire>20-JAN-93</date_of_hire>
    <salary>65000</salary>
    <commission>1000</commission>
    <department_number>10</department_number>
    </employee_row>
    </employee_data>
    2. XSL file
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <xsl:stylesheet xsl:version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">

    </xsl:copy>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    The error message:
    Error occurred while processing data.xsl: Error in expression: '*|/'.
    I used a sample XSL files copying from a XML book to do the convert but got the same error.
    Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I'll appreciate it very much for your help.
    Thanks.

  • Better format for the AppDefinition XML file

    Hello,
    We are using CVS as our source control and are having some problems with the merge process on a AppDefinition file. Is there a way to achieve a better-readable format (i.e. shorter lines, better element indentation, perhaps even attributes indentation) for that file?
    Best regards,
    Igor Gorbunov

    Steven,
    I'd like to propose an enhancement request that JAG perform the formatting as do other XML wizards in JDeveloper. It is important for situations such as ours where we have a single application definition with over 60 groups. The unformatted app definition XML file is over 4700 lines and it takes JDeveloper over 12 minutes and 40 seconds to reformat it. With multiple developers and frequent commits, this is a bit ponderous.
    We've found that all files other than the app definition merge gracefully or allow easy resolution of merge conflicts. The recent JHS blog entry about version control helped us validate our approach, by the way.
    If JAG were to perform the formatting, it would also be easier to fix nuances in the app definition editor such as when you change a bound item to an unbound item, the attributename property of the item is sometimes retained and we need to edit the XML file to remove it. (oops, sorry, that should probably be a different entry in this forum)

  • XI as a tool for migration

    Hi Friends,
    Can we use XI as a migration tool? If i want to move all data of my non-sap system to sap system, can i go for xi?
    If we can use XI, what are all the challengs i'll have and the areas i need to focus more while designing the implementaion?
    Your views on this greatly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Senthil.

    Hi,
    >>Is it going to deal with high volume of data or something else?
    yes +
    many programs for data import are already developed in ABAP
    (reports) so it would require to change them to FM (pretty time consuming)
    with LSMW you can see the errors directly and with XI you'd have to log on to SAP
    lookups with LSMW you can use ABAP to lookup every table with XI - API lookup for migration ? too high volume I'd say
    LSMW offers almost the same mapping functions as XI
    (and if you use excel for migrations it's even better)
    so I'd not use XI for sure for migrations
