Hi guys,
Hoping you can help me. In short I can't access the apple store. I am hooked up wirelessly via a little netgear box. I have no problems accessing any other sites including the rest of apple's site. I believe it is something to do with ports or with my ISP. (I have also tried my Windows PC and same issue so it is definitely network related). Here is the Trace Route (I stopped it at 48 hops).

I have three computers in the house, and all currently time out on connecting to the iTunes store (for the last 30 mins or so).

Could anyone write a simple program that one of us can use to see what times Tiscali drop the connection? It could be between certain times, and get a few of us running it?
Could it be something to do with the Tiscali FUP? I shall try and search for this A.S.A.P. I shall also be loking around ISPs soon. However, is this only a problem with Tiscali/Pipex/123-reg (owned by Pipex). Can anyone with OrangeBt Broadband/be*/etc. confirm about iTunes sore access?
Is this something I need to take up with Apple, or will I need to talk to someone at Tiscali (joy ;-)). Anyone got any tips on what to say, how to word when I ring up? Obviously Tiscali can just say that this is Apple's problem (which I am sure it isn't, as millions of iTunes users would have complained by now). Any idea for proof? -

Well some people who ordered online have just received shipping confirmation that their order is coming from China... So i'd suspect that Apple stores should be getting new shipments soon too.

All Apple updates time out. But through a VPN, it's fine!
Something might be wrong with Verizon Fios in the NYC area. Since last night, any download from Apple times out. Also http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ reports a speed of less than 1Mbps. Connected to a VPN and everything worked normally. Verizon support guy said nothing was wrong, but someone please tell me why this is happening?
thanksI've experienced the same problem here in Massachusetts. At first I thought it was an Apple problem, but then I tried downloading iOS 8 via cellular and found it to be orders of magnitude faster than my FIOS 75/75 network despite speedtest showing full speed capability!
I then tried downloading from Apple through my company's VPN on my home computer (same computer, same physical network as my FIOS setup) and was able to download iOS in about 8 minutes (about 7mb/sec) versus 11-12 kb/sec without the VPN.
This is outrageous for a supposedly high-speed network. Does anyone from Verizon monitor this forum? I'm reluctant to get involved with a level 1 support call on this, as it's clearly not a problem at my end. -
Apple Mail Time Out / "Cannot Send Message Using The Server..."
When trying to send messages of 5-10MB using my Apple Mail, it sends fine when on my home connection. But when on my (3G) mobile datacard, it seems to get half or 3/4s the way, but doesn't quite make it to the end, then times out with the message "Cannot Send Message Using The Server...". It seems that the Apple Mail doesn't allow enough time before deciding to cancel the attempted send. Is there a way to fix this eg by changing settings?
I'm seeing something similar here (using an Exchange 2007 server -- SMTP works just fine). Unfortunately, I have no solution to offer. I would be glad to hear of any, though.

Connection to itunes store times out
I am using Windows XP with service pack 3, my connection to iTunes time out. I followed the steps Apple recommended to uninstall and reinstall iTunes with no luck.
Can anyone please help?Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than Network connectivity tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. -
Do apple stores clean out the headphone jack?
My headphones arent going all the way into the jack. This is because my friend talked me in mud and im pretty sure there is a small buidl up of mud in there. We tried with compressed air and paper clips to get it out but still no luck. If I bring it into a store will they clean it out somehow? also my other thought was to have my friend buy me apple protection plan and just get it repaired that way.

Itunes wont connect to itunes store-times out
I can use my itunes to listen to music just fine, it just wont let me access itunes store. The message I get is: itunes could not connect to the itunes store. The network connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connects are active then try again... I have no idea why it quit working but it did! please help me!!!
There are three possible reasons that you would get a
connection timeout trying to connect:
1. The iTunes Store is really, really busy right
then. Try again later. If this happens all the time
(even times that should be calm, like late at night),
then this probably isn't the case.
2. There's software on your computer that is
interrupting iTunes' ability to connect to the iTunes
Store. You can check for software conflicts by
following the steps in this
article.
3. There's something up with your ISP that is
preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store.
The best way to check for this is to try to connect
using a different internet connection. (Like, if you
have a laptop, using a public wireless access point.)
So the first two options didnt resolve it, what do you mean try opening with another? I have a laptop-so what should i do now? -
Itunes store times out while trying to sign in
I just downloaded itunes to this computer. I went and tried to sign in with itunes store and it gave a message saying that the connection had timed out. It said to check my network connectivity and retry. I have done all I can think of need some help please.
Have you allowed itunes in your security software firewall?

Cannot connect to iTunes store after installing 11.1.5.5, was able to connect no problem prior to update. Receive a network timeout message. Have tried the following to no avail:

MY app store on mountain lion times out
Hi,
My app store times out anytime i try and load the update page. The entire rest of my app store works just fine. I can buy apps, download apps, whatever else I need to do in the app store, but at soon as I click on the update tab, the app store just spins, before eventually timing out.Lets do a test. Create a new User Account, and try to access the MAS from there.

I can't answer your question exactly but I can tell you that my employer has a web page which offers employees of the company discounts at Apple. I was at the Apple Store checking out a MacBook Pro that I was interested in getting with my tax refund. I was talking to the sales clerk and said that I was planning on ordering it via the web page. He asked why so I told him to get my employee discount. He then explained to me that as long as I had picture ID showing my employment with the company, the store would honor the discount. From the way they treated my I would be very much surprised if they would not do the same for you.

Go into compositionReady and have 3 variables you will be able to set them like this
strike1 = 0;
strike2 = 0;
strike3 = 0;
So on the wrong item click have

PLAY STRIKE2 ANIMATION

So this will make it so when the wrong item is clicked each strike will be played in order.
Random Scrolling -
You should look into the Math.Random function to make things random in edge.
This is an example of the Random function. It will generate a random number up to 100.

Lose Screen Score -
So we can create another variable in compositionReady for the lose score.
score = 0;
Now when the user gains a point to add to the score you could do this code on the click
score++;
which would add 1 to the score, However you can add however much you like to the score doing "score + 2" and so on.
To edit a text with the score at the end which I'm assuming you will want to do you will use .html
so $("Text").html("You score is " + score);
