I am creating a training course in Captivate. I need to
include a tracking and reporting of student results and be able to
have them print a certificate of completion. Can anyone help me
with these items?

How do i track/report on recent changes made in SAP.
I am aduiting change management and i have a list of changes made of the system that have be logged in a chg mgt system (changes like Security fixes in PRD environment, Remove /lock old staff Unix accounts from PRD, run cfgmgr on all sap application server,restart srcmst, Installation /Upgrade /Maintenance etc)
But i do not want to rely completely on the infor given, i want to be able to check from the source (ie the sap system) what changes have been made recently.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

If you see the SAP Profiles from the OS level,it record all the changes done.For the DB if its DB2 from ST04 there is an option 'Audit' to see this.

Cost tracking and Reporting tools
Hi,
is it possible to track Project cost directly or only on ressource bases.
What I mean excatlly is, can I assign to different Project Member a per day salary or per Hour ?
Or can I only see how many man-days ar assigned to the Project ?
Also I'm interested in Reporting possibilities. Can I use more than the TC SOLAR_EVAL.
Are the other queries ?

Yes, You can see only how many man-days are assigned to the Project.
It is not possible to report project cost directly.
However, You can assign a different project team member to a different project
(but per a day salary or hour).

Track and pay the logistics partner
not too sure if this post should belong to this forum.
we have logistics partners who help us to deliver stock to customer and charges us on the delivery.
Currently, when they bill us, they will give us a list of stocks that they have shipped.
our job is:
1) verify the list of stocks are correct, not bill wrongly, etc. (majority of the verification based on the sales order transaction, we capture all sales in OM.)
2) raise PR to pay for the service.
any modules/features in EBS that help us on this?Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Tracking calls to Forms and Reports in an application - Migration
Hello,
This is an interesting case. I have an application that has a number of Forms and reports written for 6i. Before I start migrating to 10g, I want to have an estimate of the current usage for this app (for one month), namely the number of times users accessed the forms and the reports.
For example:
Form A accessed 675 times
Form B accessed 30 times
Form M accessed 0 times
etc..
sames things for the reports.
Based on this statistics, I can say which ones should be migrated first, etc...
Now, I was thinking about creating a table called USAGE and each time a user clicks on the menu that calls a Form or a report, I will update the corresponding record in USAGE.
The problem here is that users can access a report or form from within other forms and as such the info I get from the Menu will be only a rough estimate. I need to point out that I don't want to open ALL the forms and check whether there are other calls from there.
What do you think of this approach and if someone was faced with the same issue, what would be the best bet to get the usage estimate.
Note: The app is used quite heavily.
ThanksThat's one possibility but the thing is that I don't want to open ALL the fmbs and then add that piece of code.
That's why I want to just work on the Menu and try gather statistics from there. However, that will give me only a rough estimate.
I was looking at Oracle Trace and I am checking whether I can get the required info (Forms and reports names) from this log for a client/server Forms app. However, I would prefer to see whether someone already had experimented with this.

Is there any way to track what reports are actively running on BOE?
Good Afternoon.
I am looking for a way to track the names of what reports are currently being run on Business Objects. We are on Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 SP3 and from what Iu2019m aware, the servers can show the administrators how many connections and how many jobs are running, and the auditing command can track when a report has completed/failed (from what I understand), but nothing really tells us what reports are actively being run.
The purpose of this is to measure impact for an emergency restart of the server, track down reports that are taking up system resources, and debugging issues involved with the SDK.
Background: We have several reports hosted on Business Objects, both Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence. These reports go to different universes and databases and use several different accounts depending on the project (no central generic accounts to the databases). Sometimes when people are running several large reports (some being upwards of 1 million rows) the users will open one, leave it to run and go to open several others, killing our session limit and resources on the server. In addition, there have been times in development that restarts have been required but there was no way to tell what reports were running, just the number of them, and in several different spots (RAS, Page server, etc.).
Wish list (If my first priority is answered, Iu2019m also looking for the following):
- One to one associations of what reports are being run by what users.
- A centralized location to see what reports are being run by users opening them and what reports are being run by users scheduling them.
- The ability to u201Ckillu201D a report that is taking too long to run by a user.
- Possibly an interactive dashboard showing the number of active reports verses the serveru2019s limit, what reports are set in queue, etc.
- The u201Cstageu201D a report is running in, so if someone is running a report but its stuck at the prompt for a variable stage, querying data from the database, getting data back from the database, producing and processing the data to the screen, etc.
If Iu2019ve missed something in the Business Objects tools or if someone knows of a way to extract this type of data from the Business Objects server (3rd party tool or custom fix) I would appreciate the assistance. Thank you for your time.Brian,

The query below (or some modification of it) may be of some help.

The SI_SCHEDULEINFO.SI_SUBMITTER property in the query result will give you the BOUSER value of the user that submitted the job.
SI_SCHEDULE_STATUS takes the following values:
0 The job is currently being processed by the job server.
1 The job completed successfully.
3 The job failed. Check error message.
8 The job is paused.
9 The job has not started because dependencies are not satisfied (e.g. Events)

Need info about RH Server 6 and reports
I'm interisted in RH Server 6 but I'm unable to locate much
practical info about it on the Web site, and a call to sales didn't
help. I need to know what I'm getting us into before I contribute
our $2,000. Can anyone provide this information or point me to its
location on the site:
--I have system requirements from the Adobe site, but what is
the "server" and what does installation and setup entail? About how
how long does it take, or how difficult, to achieve operability?
--According to a piece by John Daigle, the server component
should be installed on a Windows server running IIS 5+. Is IIS a
separate software or standart part of Windows server? If separate,
what preparation should that server have before the installation in
addition to installation of IIS?
--I know nothing about security/firewall protocols. We will
have our own and our customer firewalls to navigate. Are the server
setup instructions adequate for setting all that up? Or are
purchasers expected to have sys admins knowledgeable to set that
up? Is that applied to the RH server or the Windows server? if RH
server, how can I get a copy of instructions for my system people
to review?
--Have users found the RH server/RoboEngine reliable, once
it's operable?
--Is it true that the usage reports aren't customizable? Can
additional usage data be specified in the RH server?
--These report summaries are vague--Areas Requiing Help,
Frequently Viewed Content--stating only that repoorts show the
suchandsuch done "most frequently" or "most often." Does that mean
the top 3, 5, 10 or what? Is there a way to track all of that
activity from most to least?
--The summaries of the reports Unanswered Questions and
Frequently Asked Questions say that terms entered in the Search
field are identified. Questions and terms aren't the same in my
book--am I right that it captures anything entered? Can it do the
same for the Index field?
--I saw no RH server under downloads, or maybe missed it.
Correct in guessing that a demo version is not available?
--Is RH server user doc available on the web site? I found
the Getting Started gude, which isn't much use in evaluating the
product.
I have additional questions, but if you can answer these
questions or direct me to answers some of those may be covered.

You were asking about IIS. Yes. As Colum says, this comes
with virtually any version of Windows Server (or Windows XP
Professional). However, you must install and configure it. I am not
an IT or web administrator so it took me a while to learn, but
amazingly I got it to work if you're patient and follow the steps.
(I'm speaking of both IIS and Robohelp Server) Clearly IIS
configuration is not a trivial thing and it is assumed that an
author would have help and cooperation from the IT or Web Admin
folks.
As for customizing reports. At present, the existing reports
are the only ones offered. Since these reports are generated from a
database (Access, SQL Server or Oracle) I would think (haven't done
it myself) that someone familiar with database adminstration could
open the DB (after a backup that is) and be more creative with
generating customized reports.
You are right that the "Question" does in fact mean any
search term or phrase that an end user puts in the search field.
This is the string that is stored and reported as a question. In
discussing this with the Adobe team at STC last month, they agreed
that this was definitely a holdover from the legacy software and is
due for a change sometime in the future.
To answer your other question, text entered in the Index
field is not stored in the database, only the search term field.
Since taking on the old legacy product from eHelp and
Macromedia, Adobe is focusing most of its attention on beefing up
the client authoring app for the next version (Adobe RoboHelp 7).
My assumption is that they are keen on improving the RoboHelp
Server as well. I have passed along many feature requests along the
lines you seem to suggest and hopefully the server will evolve
along with the client app.
Even with its limitations, my clients tell me RoboHelp Server
provides very useful feedback to help them improve their knowledge
base content to make it more helpful and responsive to users needs.
They also like the searchability of PDF, Word, PPT and Excel as
well...something which plain WebHelp without the RoboHelp Server
does not do.

Call the police to report a stolen device. There is no way to track them aside from Find My Phone.

ARD ...asset tracking and management
Why doesn't ARD have automated asset tracking? I administrate a small company with a WAN based over 4 sites and ARD 2.2 does us very well for most aspects of IT management..it falls down on asset management.
Does anyone know of a good reasonably priced asset tracker/manager that will work with ARD? I have looked at Filewave's Asset Manager but it is too expensive. Any ideas, I need to auto track and keep records of our hardware and software.Does anyone know of a good reasonably priced asset tracker/manager that will work with ARD?
Nothing that will do it automatically. You can export reports from ARD and then import them into a asset manager such as Computer Admin Pro. -

We are wanting to use the inventory and reports piece to help keep
track of
licensing. After doing an inventory the report shows every .exe and
every
version that was ever installed it seems. Some of the programs that
show up
are no longer installed or they have the executable but never ran it.
So we
look at it and say user x has this installed when they might not have
it
installed. Is there a way to JUST get what is actually installed? I
have
not used ART or Crystal reports, but I would think they would just
help
organize the information that Zen supplies, so I would think that ZEN
would
have to be able to differentiate between what is installed and what is
no
longer installed, not the report tools. Am I wrong? Will Crystal or
ART be
able to seperate this info, or is there anything else that will help
without having to use a totally different inventory program. Any input
is
appreciated.We are having a similar problem. Often, even if the software has been
uninstalled, it still appears on the computer's inventory. Another
problem we have found is that the Zenworks inventory does not always report the version actually being run on the computer. For example,
we
were specifically trying to find out what versions of CorelDRAW we are
using, but we came up with multiple computers running CorelDRAW
version
1.0. Obviously we are not using version 1.0 on any of our computers,
but
no other copy of CorelDRAW was listed as being installed on those
computers. We're preparing to do a physical inventory of these
computers
to find out what's actually there, but do you have any suggestions for
remedying this problem from the remote side of things?

Tracking and displaying previously approved access
We have a requirement that the Sun IM be capable of keeping track, and displaying the state, of the access that has been previously approved to the user. By performing changes to resource attributes (for example "NT Groups") under the attribute tab of the user it seems entirely possible that these attributes could later be modified directly within the resource hence changing what is reported when the user is viewed (or updated) again, hence giving an inaccurate view of what access the user is supposed to have. In contrast, by defining roles it seems that it is possible to track what attribute access has been approved (by Role approval) and hence what the access state of the user should be.
My question is whether the product is capable of reflecting the access that has been approved, and what the Sun recommended method(s) are for reflecting this when a user is edited (updated) or viewed?
PS - I have noticed that a Reconciliation Policy can be modified to detect whether native changes have taken place in a resource (irrespective of whether a roles or direct attribute modification took place to effect the original change), but that it is only possible to report this attribute change from within an Audit Report. Is there some way that this could be reflected within the form when a user is updated or viewed?Hi,

Track which reports are downloaded most by the users
I have Zcubes on which I have reports . Now I want to track which reports are downloaded most from the website and what reports are looked at most of time ? how is this possible?

You can get the information from St03. You need to go to BI Work Load . This will give you all the details related to the InfoProviders. This will give you the number of reports under each Cube executed by the users. But you need to enable the BI Stats to get this information.

The new track and mask features are not showing on my version of premiere cc. It says it's uptodate.
Please double-check the exact version as displayed in the About box. The new release is an entirely separate version referred to CC 2014.0; it is not merely an update to CC7. That means that if you launch CC7.2.2 and go Help>Updates, it will report that the program is up to date.
If you're on CC7.2.2, then the easiest way to install CC2014.0 is to launch the Creative Cloud app and scroll down the Apps tab looking for "Premiere Pro CC (2014)."
Note that once CC2014 is installed, you will need to use a new app icon to launch it; the old icon will continue to launch CC7. -
After seeing the production of Matilda in London I purchased the whole sound track and it did not completely load. I've never had this problem before so I just forgot about it. Today I am downloading an album only to find out it's missing the voacals. Do I have to start just settling for these kinds things. I'm feeling taken.

Depending upon what country that you are in you might be able to try 'redownloading' it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
