Does anyone know of any good training material on how to merge customer party/accounts in Oracle 12.1?

      You could have gone for a query but unfortunately,you cannot use table TSTMT in a query so I think ZREPORT would be a better option.

  • Use of OCO and OCDL for Customer Account and Party Merge

    Requirement: Duplicate parties, previously identified by legacy, are being sent as messages which are polled in and processed upon by custom code.
    Once these duplicate parties are identified by Legacy, the requirement is to merge them both and then go on merging the accounts within the master party (only).
    We have considered using DQM capabilities for this. Off-Late a suggestion of using ORACLE customers Online and ORACLE Customers Data Librarian if applicable has come up. After reading the respective documentation we’ve found that both of the modules needs to be configured to use the DQM capability and are licensed products(Xerox owns the licenses for both).
    Can anyone please throw light on the overall functionality and business scenarios for the use of OCDL.

    There are some setup you need to do. If you're not technically well grounded, i would suggest you get an ABAPer to do this for you. Basically, the following are what you need to do:
    1. Create the Partner Profile for your Customer using transaction code <b>WE20</b>. Click on the create icon and enter Partner type <b>KU</b> (Customer) and enter the Customer Number.
    2. Next, add an Outbound Message Type <b>FINSTA</b> by clicking on the <b>green +</b> icon under the outbound parameters. Complete all the other mandatory fields as appropriate. Save your Entries.
    3. Test your outbound partner profile for your customer by running the customer statement again using transaction code <b>F.27</b>.
    Your output control would have been created with the medium EDI.
    4. Use transaction code <b>WE05</b> to display the iDocs that would have been created.
    <u><b>Note:</b></u> You still have to set up the communication between your system and that of your Customer to allow for EDI transmission.

  • Customer Merge Error: Account is not deleted

    Hello Everyone,
    I have faced an issue in the customer merge in AR. Merge completed but the old customer account is not deleted. However, it is inactivated. The error message is the following:
    "During account merge an old customer ID is found in QA_RESULTS table. The table is used to store archival info of test data. The customer name can be used for auditing purpose and cannot be deleted"
    Can anyone help me on this? We want to delete the old customer.

    Why do you need to delete old customers?
    I might be wrong/outdated but I believe you have encountered a normal functionality. In account/party merge, an account/party that was merged will be inactivated but not deleted for recording purposes. However, the merged account/party won't be visible in Apps - but can be selected thru SQL queries.
    With the above, you can forcefully delete records using your own SQL statements(not recommended).

    Since You are already a SD Consultant, We assume you are very much familliar with SAP and for you CRM will also be not a big Deal.
    Customer Relationships Management (CRM) is a model for managing any Organization's interaction with current and future customers. It involves technology to organize, automate and synchronize SALES, SERVICES(postsales) AND MARKETING(presales).
    First of all you need to get SAP CRM installed in your system and then you need to get command over Account and Contact Management (Business Partner). The same can be learned using WebUI or GUI. From GUI the transaction launcher is WUI then web page opens up enter your credentials and select Role - Salespro. Open the Account and Contact section and do some R&D and you can learn. But in GUI you need to go to SPRO -> IMG -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Number Ranges & Groupings -> Define Number Ranges. Here you have defined number range then you need to assign to some group created from SPRO same way. And Finally maintain Business Partner using Tcode - BP.
    Then You Learn Organizational Management which allows us to map our marketing, sales, service structure maintaining company's structure including the position and Employees in an Application and assign specific attributes to the otganizational units.
    Path: SPRO -> IMG -> CRM -> Master Data -> Organizational Management -> Organizational Model -> Create Org Model/Change org model.
    Just Go ahead and with some more R&D in the system and taking of F1 Help of SAP Documentation I think you can easily learn SAP CRM.

    A requirement has come up where I want to get Customer closing balance based on its sales organization as this particular customer is extented to 2 different sales organizations. I want to get the closing balance of individual sales organization vise.

    AFAIK there is no such BAPI, cause there is no database table with balance for customer per sales organisation. (No KNCx table for VKORG)
    First ask functionals (*) how to recover sales organisation from a FI document (I suppose for SD invoice it is easy if no merging between organisation) will be a little tricker for pure FI document like payment transactions (hope thet are quickly cleared...)  Then start from non cleared records of BSID (also BSAD if you use a past date of reference, in case you have to add the records of BSAD with clearing date greater than reference date) and cross it with SD information to break FI into sales organisation.

  • Billing Document to be shift to other customer accounts with same invoice number

    Hi,
    For a long period of time we were maintaining different projects and site of a customer in a single account.
    Now there is a requirement to distribute individual invoices to respective individual customer accounts for that site or project.
    But doing that we also want to shift the invoices with following:
    1) invoice numbers should be same (as it was generate originally)
    2) Keep the same purchase order number
    3) keep the same date of the invoice (as it was raise in the main accounts)
    4) Keep the same salesperson
    5) after doing step 1 to 4, we also want to close the main account by offsetting entries to avoid duplications.
    After practicing above, we want the following result:
    1) individual statement of accounts with the same invoice dates, Purchase Order Number and saleman reference.

    we will make a manual list in EXCEL to upload in the SYSTEM.
    customer code: 55555 (merge account for all projects and sites):

  • Separate Lines debited to Customer Account

    Dear All
    Kindly go through the following details and guide me :
    My Client is a Project Based Organisation. So for every project they take advance as Down Payment.
    For example if the Project value is 1.0 Lac INR and as per agreement Down Payment is 10%, then Client takes the down payment of 10000.
    Now client started supplying the material to its Customer (we use delivery based billing). The requirement is that while doing the invoicing of a particular line item, the down payment should be adjusted, for Example if the Base Price is = 5000, and Sales Tax = 50, the required Accounting Entry should be as follows :-
    Required A/C Entry    
    Customer      Dr     4950
    Customer     Dr         50 (adjustment against advance)
    Customer     Dr         50 (Tax)
    Revenue     Cr     5000
    Tax Payable     Cr     50
    By using the Installment Payment Terms, I am able to get the following accounting entry:
    Customer      Dr     4995
    Customer     Dr        505 (adjustment against advance)
    Revenue     Cr     5000
    Tax Payable     Cr     50
    So system is basically adding the Tax Value and Basic Price and then as per the terms in Installment Payment Terms dividing the value as per the percentage maintained (here it is 90% and 10%) in payment terms.
    So client reuirement is to send separate line for accounting entries which is posted to Customer G/L where revenue amount should be divided as per the Installment Payment Terms.
    If further clrification required kindly let me know.
    Is it possible to achieve the above said requirement, and if Yes, then Please guide me.

  • How to issue the non stock material to the customer place through delivery?

    Dear All,
                I have created a service order with one operation,and for executing the operation i need one spares material which should be sent to the customer place.So i put that as non stock item in the line item of the order.
    Result : It Creates PR with account assignment and with reference to the PR i craeate a PO with the same account assignment order.
    Now when i take MIGO against the PO,it is directly consumed to the order,wherein i have to send that material to the customer place and then consume.
    How can i handle this process.

    Hi,
    The material which u sending to Customer place mark those item as return in Purchase order and then do Goods movement by 161. If that material is non val. then No Accounting will generate.

    Okay I found the solution.

    Repeat Run --3. Create a physical location with customer account site level Address (ie, Specific contact address details). Note down x_location_id value
    GET "x_party_id: " from "--8. Create a relation cont-org using party_id from step 7 and party_id from step 2"
    Now Run "--4. Create a party site using party_id from step 2 and location_id from step 3" passing "x_party_id" from Step 8 & x_location_id from Step 3
    Commit the changes and you will able to populate the account site specific contact person details

The more I've researched this, the more roadblocks appear and the more it appears BC is not going to work for this project, which is a shame as some of the other BC features are perfect for the project as a whole. However, before giving up, can I run the points below by you to validate or disprove any of my current understanding?
    I understand I will need to stand up an external db/app to synch with the iPhone app to save the customer survey data, and I understand I will then be able to connect the external db/app to the BC API and pull the survey data into a extended CRM form.
    However, once the data is in BC, I cannot work out a way where I could edit that CRM form data with it's assigned to a Case? That is, I understand it's possible to display/edit CRM form data assigned to a 'contact' of a customer record, but the problem here is I can only access the data to edit it when logged on as that customer. But this is data a staff member will access (customers will not be able to access it) and staff will not have access to the customers login credentials. So it's not feasible to assign the CRM data at the Contact level, agree/disagree?
    If I set up one staff member as a customer (so one unique login) and save all the (potentially hundreds) of survey data CRM forms as individual 'Cases', but as I understand it, whereas this overcomes the customer logn issue, I won't be able to add a web form to a page to edit the survey data CRM form, because it's assigned to a Case, not a Contact in this scenario, agree/disagree?. (This is the approach I really hoped would work out)
    And as you said, I can't use a Web App, which would overcome both of the issues above, because I can't access a Web App from the BC API. 
    So, in conclusion, these appear to be no way around these roadblocks, unless you can tell me otherwise?

    I need to check ship to customer to see if its had any material movements on it for a given peroid for customer obsolescence programme
    All reports I can find bomb out, which table will give me material movments with customer number?
    I just want to input the customer number and see if there have been any movements on those accounts for a set period of time

    Hi,
    Drill out the deliveries for the customer for particular period from standard delivery tables.
    Then input the deliveries in the VBFA table and fetch out the material documents with subsequent document category "R"
    When you get the material document and year.Then input the same in MSEG table and you can find the respective movements done for the customer.

  • Issue while merging the account

    While I am trying to merge 2 accounts, after performing all necessary steps while i click on 'Start', I get the following error message - 'Define a realignment task (refer to note 900293)' though, if i directly click on 'save' without clicking on start, Accounts are merged.
    Please suggest the way to resolve the siiue as i can't make out much after having a look at the mentioned SAP note.

    Please ensure that notes 1488405 and 1167336 are implemented in your
    system.
    And recheck that a Txn type has action profile (BP_TASK) maintained as
    per the Note 900293. This means, In customizing there should exist a
    Transaction type with Action profile BP_TASK.
    SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define Transaction Types->Check your transaction type.
    For the CRM WebClient, all nodes of BUSWU01 which are relevant
    for cleansing must be part of the CLEARING variant in BUSWU02.
    The CLEAR_REP variant will comprise of nodes that should be handled by
    the background job. This means that the subset of objects present in
    the CLEAR_REP variant:
    - Must be part of variant CLEARING as well
    - Is not visible in the UI
    - Is transferred automatically by the batch job, which is scheduled
    from the UI.
    Check in your crm system the View variant CLEAR_REP in BUSWS02 iif it is maintained
    accordingly, please keep note 105548 as a reference.

  • IP Communicator Skins Or 6900 Training Material

    Hey Cisco Community,
    I was wondering if there were any skins out there that could make my IP Communicator look like and act like one of the new models of Cisco phones that have recently come out?  I used to connect my PC to a projector and use my IPC all the time to train my customers on how to use the phone since it looked so similar to the 7900 series phones that we always sold.  Now with the 6900 series phones, along with the 89 and 9900 series phone they look a lot different and I don't feel that I can effectively train using my IPC anymore.
    Any skins out there that will accomplish what I'm looking for or are there any other online 6900 phone presentations, training material, etc. that I can use instead?

    There's no skinning as far as I'm aware (despite the menu of the same name) - as I understand it the CIPC pretty much emulates a 797x handset.
    There were some reasonable flash-based tutorials for the 79xx phones (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/voicesw/ps6788/phones/ps379/cisco_unified_ip_phones_tutorials.html) but I've not see anything like that for the new ones... maybe make the suggestion via your Cisco account team to get something similar worked up...
