Training Plan & Budgeting

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me how can we configure training plan & budgeting in OLM. If there is any document related to this please share it with me.
The scenario I am working on is:
- Every dept has a training plan & budget for a year.
- whenever the training budget for that dept crosses 95% within 10 months, it should send an alert to trg. administrator / OLM admin.
How can we make this possible.
In both OLM user guide and Imp guide I couldn't find an answer to this.

Hi Jeeves ,
There is no direct solution for budgets in OLM module . But for your budget requirment you can use standard HR bugets and can store the training budgets aganist each department . and regarding sending alert to training dept .. develop a an alert and specify your in conditions like calculating the actual cost for each department and then comparing with the budgeted value of the department and trigger the alert if the actual cost >=95%

    Where do you think the financial reports get their data from? Financial Reports pull data from data sources such as Essbase, HFM.

  • IM with Inv Prog/Inv Measures - Planning/Budgeting/Distribution

    Hello,
    I am looking to implement the use of appropriation requests via Workflow, to use with investment measures budgeted and hence activated with availability control. The workflow side of things is working fine in terms of creating/approving the ARs, but I feel I am missing something key in the subsequent process of planning/budgeting/distribution.
    In the test system I can create an AR assigned to an investment program position with plan values assigned, which Workflow can then go off to obtain its necessary approvals. However I notice that before the AR is approved I am still able to roll up these plan values, copy to budget and distribute down. Shouldn't plan values only be copied from approved ARs?
    If this scenario is unlikely in a live scenario I still feel unsure over the process of planning/budgeting/distributing budget once an AR is approved. As I understand it once an AR is approved the plan values of its program position need to be rolled up via IM34, then the plan values need to be copied to the budget via IMCCP1, then the budget needs to be distributed back down the tree via IM52 and then the investment measure needs the specific monetary amount entered against it for availability control to activate against the internal order.
    Isn't this a long winded scenario for one AR? Is this the only way that an investment measure can obtain approved and budgeted controlled spend from an AR? What if there were two ARs assigned to an investment program position, one was approved and one yet to be approved - how would the plan values be rolled up of the approved AR and not the unapproved one?
    Is there something key in the process I am missing?

    Jo,
    Ballpark this is correct.  But ARs are transferred to the position via IMCCP2 and has selection criteria by AR if necessary.

    Controlling-Internal Order-Budget and Availaibility Control-Maintain Budget Profile(T Code KOAB)

  • Deletion of Plan Budget/Reset of Plan Data

    Hi
    I entered the plan budget by transaction "FMPLCPD - Change Plan Data"  in planning version. after that I executed the deletion budget program to delete this  planning data.  system deleted the line items from table FMBDP but not from table FMBDT.
    Then I reset the plan data by transaction "FMCYRESET - Reset Plan Data ", Now system deleted the amount from FMBDT and created line items in FMBDP. After that I again executed the deletion program, system deleted the line items from FMBDP and updated the double amount in table FMBDT
    Please advise

    I am still unable to solve the issue, when the system delete the plan items from FMBDP, it update the total table FMBDT with double amount with deletion program. e.g if in table FMBDP amount is 100, deletion program delete this line item and update in total table with amount -200
    Also in the report FMRP_RW_BUDGET - Budget Overview displaying the data with no line item

  • EPM Planning & Budgeting Partner Implementation Boot Camp Ready 2 Launch

    The Oracle PartnerNetwork launched a new Implementation Boot Camp program at OOW 2008. Since then Oracle has made available to partners ~8 different Boot Camps and expect to have near 20 by the end of February 2009.
    That said, we are close to finalizing the content for an EPM Planning & Budgeting Implementation Boot Camp, and I am interested to hear if there is any interest in this Boot Camp among this audience.
    Goals / Objectives
    The EPM Planning Bootcamp will provide implementation instruction on Oracle’s EPM System products Planning functionality.     Hi,
    There are no other batch scripts I am aware of, you will have to create any new ones.
    In regards to backing up with business rules and planning, that would be mainly be backing up the repository.
    You can also use LCM to export your objects and this can be called from command line.

  • Creation of a new member in 2 different Planning Budgeting Applications

    Hi,
    I have a query.
    We have 2 planning applications with the same number of dimensions. One application is created just to store the historical data and the actual data month to month.
    The other application is where the budgets are created and 1 or 2 years of actual data is loaded.Many times in the year we need to add some new account members (new accounts get created) or new cost centers gets added. In this case we need to add the member in the 2 different applications. This creates maintenance issues at times . The users who keep adding at times forget to add in both applications.
    Is it possible by using any method that we can add the member at one time to both the applications?
    We are using Planning version - 11.1.1.3.

    Not if they are being manually added, you could look at automating the process usIng the outlineload utility or ODI if they are classic applications.

  • Not able to change company code in CNMASS after cost planning/Budgeting

    After cost planning in my project, i was trying to change company code through CNMASS,
    but system is not allowing me to do that.
    Is there any notes/alternate solution, through which i can change the company code after cost planning or budgeting.

    Ashis,
    Company code is not changeable once planning, actuals, commitments or budget values exist. This is independent of the trx you use to change it: it will not be able in CNMASS, in CJ20N etc...
    You need to undo any postings before changing the company code.

    HI Nadh,
    You can create the structure of your Marketing plan & the Planning profile in CRM.The Budgeting & cost planning would be captured in BI.So the answer to your question is No, you cannot do it in CRM alone.

    Hello, the forecast/budget data that gets created in BPC, does it need to be exported and posted back to FI GL(or whatever other software they are using for their day to day general ledger)? thanks.
