  • Define a Service Plan in the transaction "solution_manager"

    Dear community,
has anyone of you an idea how to configure the service plan in the SAP solution manager? I already tried to open the transaction "solution_manager" --> operations --> Delivery of SAP Services --> Service Plan
There I get the message: "Last service plan update [at SAP]: 00.00.0000 00:00:00; Last solution master data update [at SAP]: 17.04.2007 02:15:27"
So the data of my solition should be sent to SAP. But when I try to get the service plan from SAP by clicking the button: "Get current service plan from SAP" I only get the error message "There is no new service plan to be collected by S000XXXXXXX from destination SAP-OSS"
Has onyone an idea what I have got to do, to get the service plan from SAP?
Many thanks in advance and kind regards
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    - Service Plans are defined at SAP (in the SAP internal backend systems).
    - Service Plans are linked at SAP to the Solution Landscape (which you have successfully transferred to SAP, indicated by "Last solution master data update [at SAP]").
    - Service Plans are collected from SAP (triggered by your Solution Manager system). You will see the results.
Potential reasons, why no service plan can be collected for you:
    - used S-User is not assigned to the Solution Manager installation / customer number
    - no service (for example Technical Integration Check, Solution Management Assessment) is scheduled yor you.
    - your Solution Landscape has not be assigned to the Service Plan at SAP (in this case, contact the SAP Support, which is responsible handling service contracts).

    Hi,
Actually the tcode Solution_Manager will lead you to the last screen of your previous login. Select the solution overview from the drop down list box and then logoff so that u will be entering into the solution overview screen the next time u login.

  • Steps to configure solman to approve support packs

I have installed a Solution Manager System.
What are teh steps to be done to connect the SOLMAN system to SAP, so that i can login to SOLMAN to approve Support packs.

    Hi Balaji,
First you have to add the solution in the solution manager you can do
that by transaction 'DSWP' .Then go to transaction smsy and add the
R/3 systems which you have installed. In this transaction smsy, you
have to add the server and the database by giving the necessary details
then it will automatically creates the necessary rfc's.
After doing this you have to go to Transaction 'SOLUTION_MANAGER'
then click on the change management. Then go to maintainance
optimizer. Here it will ask u which solution and then for which system u
                   want to update.
Revert back if you any queries.
    Reward points if helpfull.

  • In solman 4.0 how to send message to SAP through service desk

    Dear all,
I have configured service desk functionality, My requirement is from service desk how to send message to SAP.
    Regards,
    Pavan.

    Hi,
    Following the steps:
ƒBasic configuration - RFC Connections to SAP
Check if the RFC Connectino SAPOSS is working properly
Check if load distribution group is set to EWA
    The RFC Connections:
    - SAP-OSS (Send Message to SAP)
    - SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 (Update Message from SAP)
will be created automatically by the system with a user which has been assigned
    previously.
IMG Path: SAP Web Application Server | SAP Web Application Server | SAP Solution Manager| Basic Settings | SAP Solution Manager System | Connection to SAP | Assign user for forwarding Service Desk Message
With transaction SM59 you can adjust the RFC connections.
    - For further information on SAP R/3 Front-end connections, see SAP Notes: 33135, 766505, 24177
    - To forward Service Desk notifications and Issues to SAP, you need to assign a user to the SAPNet R/3
    Front-end connection to SAP.
    Activities:
    - 1. From the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER), choose (Edit-> Global Settings.
    - 2. Choose Display<->Change.
    - 3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
    - 4. In the Connection to SAP tab, specify SAPOSS as the RFC destination. Note that the entry is casesensitive.
    - 5. For User forwading messages, enter a valid user and a password. This user will require all the authorizations for SAPNet R/3 Front-end for your customer number.
    - 6. Save your changes.
The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User and password you specified: SAP-OSS, SAP-OSS-LIST-O01
    Good Lucky!

  • SOLUTION_MANAGER - Configuration tab not active

    Hello,
in transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER 'Configuration' tab pushbuttons are not active and those are grayed out. For example 'Insert Lines' pushbutton is not active and eg. a new 'IMG Object' can't be added.
Other tabs like Transactions and Development are working normally and data can be updated there.
How 'Configuration' tab can be activated, so data could be entered there?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
here's the resolution provided by SAP AG:
Note 1375718 - Configuration Tab and Configuration Structures in Solutions
    Summary
    Symptom
Configuration Tab is not editable in Solutions and Configuration
Structures cannot be assigned to Solutions in Solutions Directory
    Other terms
    Solution Directory, Configuration
    Reason and Prerequisites
Configuration is done via maintenance projects for solutions
    Solution
Configuration changes need data from the project environment like "IMG project" or transport requests. Therefore, the general concept for configuration changes for solutions is to use a maintenance project that is associated to the solution in conjunction with the check-out/check-in functionality.
    Configuration Tab:
Changes to objects on the Configuration Tab within a solution are not possible. Changes on the tab can be done using a maintenance project that can be assigned to the solution on the solution settings tab. In addition, the Check-out/Check-in functionality needs to be activated for the solution. If an object is to be changed, it has to be checked-out into the maintenance project where the changes can be made. Subsequently, the object is checked-in into the solution.
    Configuration structures:
Configuration structures that shall be associated to a solution have to be assigned to the solution via the associated maintenance project. For this reason a "solution structure node" is available in the maintenance project under which the configuration structures for the solution can be maintained.

  • SOLUTION_MANAGER - printing solution documents

    Hello,
how to print solution documents into one file in transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.
Like the blueprint and configuration documents could be printed in transactions SOLAR01 and SOLAR02 as Generate Blueprint Document and Generate Configuration Guide.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
There is no way to simply generate a compilation of the solution documents, you may perhaps create a project just for this and assign the desired solution to the project and then generate a blueprint.
    Kind regards, Fabricius

  • How to set Ibase in Solman?

    Hello friends!
I am trying to configure Ibase systems in solution manager for testing.
I want to create all my Systems(in landscape), so that the test team can assign the testers accordingly to the systems.
When I am trying to include the system in the Ibase, It is looking for Identification?
Any information on this problem will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Fr.
For Initially Creating and Assigning the Component Systems as iBase
    Use
To be able to use the Service Desk and Change Request scenarios in SAP Solution Manager, you need to define the Installed Base (iBase). An iBase component has to be created for each satellite system from which Service Desk messages will be sent to the SAP Solution Manager system.
The iBase components for the iBase structure SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation 1) can be created and assigned either automatically or manually. Note that these components and the assignments can only be created once automatically for every solution.  To refresh your existing iBase data execute IMG activity Manually Create and Assign the Satellite Systems as iBase Components(this is second step given under service desk-ibase path of spro).
    Requirements
You have defined your system landscape in the Solution Manager System Landscapes(transaction SMSY).
    Steps
    1. In transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER,  open a solution.
    2. Choose Edit -> Initial Data Transfer for iBase.
The data is copied automatically. The iBase systems for the solution are automatically assigned to SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (installation "1"). An iBase component is created for each system installation number (which can be displayed by choosing System  ->  Status).
For each solution repeat these steps.
In Spro goto solution manager advance config service desk-ibase and read the IMG help provided you can very wel do thesame.
Please reward points for the same.

  • How to Start a Transaction from SOLAR02 in ECC in a Different Language?

    Dear Experts,
we are implementing SAP ECC 6.0 and I have to set up some test cases on SolMan..
I added the transactions that our testers should execute trough SOLAR02 and RFC in ECC.
Now, I need to enable the testers from SolMan (logged in EN) to start a transaction in ECC, in SH language.
The problem is the SAP Solution Manager has only default languages available, but in ECC there is SH language as well.
I have tried to set SH as default language in ECC in SU01, as well as in SolMan in SU01 (although I must logon to SolMan in EN) for the same user - and when a tx is started from SOLAR02 in ECC, it is started in EN language...
    Any advice would be appreciated...
Thank you in advance and best regards,
    Nenad
Edited by: Nenad Nikolic on Apr 10, 2009 4:09 PM

Hi Nesimi, thanks for an answer, but the problem is that there is still no SH language interface customization for SolMan (I'll have to double check this - I have always used just EN in SolMan...)
Anyway - the solution might be easy, as I was thinking in another direction, and I will post the result here when I try it out:
I want to find out is the problem solved if I define SH as the language for the trusted connection from SolMan to ECC.
I tried it with a SM.......CLNT.......LOGIN connection, and it worked with logon screen. Now all I have to do is to try it with trusted connection, as soon as I resolve another problem...
Once again thank you for an answer,
    Nenad
p.s. - I am not sure if I have understood the "as well as all content is displayed in SolMan and not ECC" part - in any way - clicking on the transaction XXX in Solman (one tx from the list of transactions for testing - stored in tx SOLAR02), opens a new session window in ECC, and goes directly in XXX transaction...

  • How to clean old Earlywatch reports in Solution Manager

    Hi,
We are using SOLMAN 7.0 for EarlyWatch alerts, everything is fine and EarlyWatch is generating Reports weekly. Now i had a concern on how to clean these Early Watch reports once they are like month old, Does SAP Standard Jobs take care of this or do we need to schedule any job that removes EarlyWatch alerts older than certain period.
    Thanks

    Yes there is....
In transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER, click onto the EarlyWatch Alert tab -> next to the create button there is a button that say DELETE. If you click onto that it will bring up all of your sessions which you can select to delete.
    Hope this helps!

  • Solution landscape doesn't appear in Solution Manager Diagnostics

    Dear all,
I have configured 6 Solution Landscapes in transaction solution_manager. One for ECC5, one for PI 7.0, one for BI 7.0, one for Solution Manager 7.0, one for SRM 4.0 and finally one for NW 04 Portal.
When I go to my Solution Manager Diagnostics URL
https://solman.domain.com:50001/smd and I do Diagnostics Setup --> Managed Systems --> Setup Wizard,  I see there all the Solution Landscapes I have configured except for the NW 04 Portal one. Any ideas why I can not see this landscape? I am trying to think if I have missed any configuration but I can not think of something
    Many thanks
    Andreas

Sad to say, Vista isn't a supported system for Acrobat XI.

  • Solution Manager does not get service definitions from SAP in self diagnosi

    Hi,
In our production solution manager transaction solution_manager, self diagnosis we are getting a warning message on our development solution manager.
Solution Manager XXX does not get service definitions from SAP.
The production Solution Manager is the master in SDCCN for the test Solution Manager.  In the test Solution Manager, the scheduled task REFRESH SERVICE DEFINITIONS has task System ID of O01.  It is pointed to RFC destination SDCC_OSS, not the production Solution Manager system.
It gives the same warning if I point the task to the production Solution Manager system.
Has anyone seen this before?  Any ideas?
    Best regards,
    Russ

    Hi,
i guess have you activated SDCCN from your solution manager system too?
if not please activate. since that setup helps solman retrive the service definitions used in SDCCN from SAP (SAPOSS).so this ultimately allows you to set solution manager system as Master, so all the satellite system get the service definition from solman and do not need a direct SAPOSS connection.
and Please check this Note 1143775 - SAP service content update
the wiki for trouble shoot ["EarlyWatch Alert is Red Flagged - how to resolve" |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=228262728]
    please check.

  • Solution manager system monitoring configuration

    Hi
I am configuring system monitoring in solution manager (Oracle / Solman 7.0 EHP1 / Windows 2008 / VM)
I have added a satellite system to solution manager thru CCMS and CCMSPING agents. These are visible in RZ21 / Technical infrastructure / Overview. This has also been added in SMSY, SMSY when refreshed pulls out data from the satellite system. However I am having trouble with the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER. This is where I setup system monitoring.
Here I find the solution maanger system however am not able to find the satellite system which I had added.
    Thoughts?
    thanks
    Ravi

    Hi,
Have you defined and added corresponding logical systems for the respective satellite systems?
Here is the sequence of steps you've to do:
    in SMSY:
    1) Define server, DB, Systems
    2) Generate READ, TMW, TRUSTED RFCs to the satellite systems
    3) define logical systems and assign the satellite system to it
    in Solution_Manager:
    1) define new solution
    2) add the logical system into the solution
If these steps are successful, you should be able to see the satellite system in SYSTEM MONITORING in Solution_Manager.
Have you already done these steps?
    After performing these steps:
    Solution_Manager>choose relevant solution>operations setup>Solution Monitoring>System monitoring>Activate monitoring> choose the system and activate monitoring.
    Your system will then appear.
    Does this help any way?
