Translation - af:query

Hello,
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.
In my screen, if I change the locale, the words Match, Any, All and the Operators are not getting translated. All other words are translated.
Please guide me...
Thanks in advance.
Vengadakiruchnan. M

Vengat,
How could it be fixed if noone files it as a problem ? Anyway - To work around the current issue (which still doesn't see it getting fixed in a later version if no one files it ) is to create a skin file and override the default label. This way you can translate it yourself
See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/apirefs.1111/e15862/toc.htm
search fro af|query and there go to Resource String to find the label key to change. Then read
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/b31973/af_skin.htm#BAJFEFCJ
Frank
Ps.: Don't let work arounds haunt you in the future - file bugs so work arounds can be removed

  • Currency Translation in Query on InfoSet

    Hi Experts,
I need to do a currency conversion from 0LOC_CURRENCY to USD on an Infoset. The Data flow is DSOs --> Infoset --> Multiprovider --> Query. I want to do this Translation on Posting date which is in my DSO, Infoset and Multiprovider. I have created custom Translation Type on Postind date (with Exchange Rate Type = M, Fixed Target Currency = USD, Time Reference as Special Infoobject = 0PSTNG_DATE in RSCUR) in RSCUR but in the Query, I cannot see this custom conversion type available, as in report the infoobject 0PSTNG_DATE is available as '<Infoset Name>__FXX' .
Is there any paricular setting need to be done on an infoset to incorporate Currency Translation on Query ? Also, if there is any other procedure available for Infoset Currency Translation, please let me know.
Thanks fin advance or all your help.
    Regards,
    Dibyendu

    Hi,
As I want to do my currency translation on an Infoset the infoobjects do not appear in traditional format. 0PSTING_DATE has taken a name '<Infoset Name>__FXX' (like ZISCURTR__F24). How can I put this reference in RSCUR 'Time Ref' tab in Infoset option over there ? It gives only a F4 help option (donot allow to write something there) and my infoset is not available in the list. Is there any particular setting that I can do in my infoset to make that available in RSCUR F4 help ?
    Please suggest.
    Regards,

  • Not able to use variable on 0LOC_CURRCY in Currency Translation in Query

    Hi Gurus,
I am using currecny translation in query for a key figure for which currecy is 0LOC_CURRCY.
Exchange Rate which i am using is updated Yearly. So time reference is 0Calyear (star of calendar year).
Source Currency option is - Source Currency from Data Record
Target Currency - Target Currency Selection with Translation
For target currency, I am using a user input variable which is on characteristics 0CURRENCY.
I want to use a variable which should be on characteristics 0LOC_CURRCY (because it gives Key and Text both in the selection screen of the query).  I have created a variable on 0LOC_CURRCY but I am not able to find it in the target currency while defining currency conversion for the key figure.
Please let me know if anybody has any solution.
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav,
Instead of defining target currency as "Target Currency Selection with Translation", use the option of "Target currency from Variable" and mention the varibale created on 0loc_currcy there.
This way, you dont need to mention the target currency variable on the key figure. It would autmatically be populated.

  • Curr Translation in Query for Current rate

My requirement is to have a fixed target currency as USD, and convert that to local currency (multiple as applicable for each record)   after query execution.
So I selected the KF in the query with Conversion type = 0MEANTODAY. and Target curr = USD.
then i execute the query to get values in USD. Now when i right click and uncheck the box which says " Consider Currency translation from Query Definition" ; I get all the values in Local currency.
the problem is - this conversion is not picking up current exchange rate - it's picking the one for past week.
What am I doing wrong here and how can i resolve this without any backend development ?

Thanks Veerendra for the input although that did not resolve my issue.
you're saying I should check the data is in Sync between the ECC and BI system - right ? - I will do that.
But i tried to tie back the exchange rate that the report output is giving with TCURR in NBI , TCURR in ECC and V_TCURR in ECC. It does not match up with any of these. that's what's bothering me - that where is it really reading the exchange rate from ?
    Thanks,
    Shweta

  • Currency translation on Query level (YTD exchange rate)

    Hi Experts,
I want to implment the currency translation logic in query as below. Please advise what I should do.
    Case 1
    Variable entry screen
    Posting date (range): 01.09.2007 - 31.03.2008
    Query result
Sales amount figures from 01.09.2007 - 31.12.2007 => use exchage rate at 31.12.2007
Sales amount figures from 01.01.2008 - 31.03.2008 => use exchage rate at 31.03.2008
    Case 2
    Variable entry screen
    Posting date (range): 01.09.2006 - 30.06.2008
    Query result
Sales amount figures from 01.01.2006 - 31.12.2006 => use exchage rate at 31.12.2006
Sales amount figures from 01.01.2007 - 31.12.2007 => use exchage rate at 31.12.2007
Sales amount figures from 01.01.2008 - 30.06.2008 => use exchage rate at 30.06.2008
In query, key figure sales amount will be shown in ONE column. Please give a hint how to implement this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Helen

    Hi Helen,
I guess you are trying to user conversion based on data record. data record intunr dependent on variable entry.
So for the definition of currency translation, use time reference as end of calender year/quarter and info object as posting date.
This should work fine for the same key figure, based on posting date, as per the example provided by you.
    Hope I am clear enough.

  • Base UOM translation in query

    Hi,
if i check some data on R/3 tables i can see Base UOM = "EA", but when i see it on a transaction it is translated
to "C/U" according to my logon language.
On the infocube the same data loaded appears as "EA", the question is is it going to be translated automatically
on the query result even when the characteristic 0BASE_UOM has no texts asociated ?
    thx in advance
    JP

    Hi,
There must be conversion EXIT "CUNIT" used in, you can check that from the Infoobject Maintainance on the general tab. In case of conversion the values stored in table are different than the values shown in the report, and the conversion is automatically happened by the EXIT.
You can check the below article,

  • Translating Excel query into flat file(.CSV)

    Hi,
I have a requirement where i need the Excel Queries to be displayed in Flat file(.CSV) format.
To be more clear i have an excel query but  my client requires this query to be displayed in a Flat file format. Can someone explain me how i can acheive this.
    Thanks

    Hi All,
Thanks for all the information provided by i missed mentioning one point, actually thse queries are to be automatically schedule. the requirement is like this i need to bring to extract data and build queries export it as a .CSV file these queries are not end user queries so they have to be automatically scheduled and will be picked up by an interface so they do some mapping with the .CSV file we provide.
So we decided to do it in Reporting Agent in Excel format and automate it and send the file to a specific location from where the Interface team can pick it. which doesnt need an user to run the query.
so can someone tell me if i can automate a query and as well as have the query in .CSV format?? I hope i was clear
    Thanks.

  • Translation text query

    Hi,
we have translated BEX into catalan. Analyze shows the whole text in this language except: Result, Overall Result, not assigned. And if you go to the menu appearing after pressing the right button in the mouse on the Key Figures you find as well: Add Drill down According To.
We would like to know where we have to translate these texts.
    Regards,
    Nuria

Yes, we have done these steps. We can see the BEX in catalan, except for the texts that I pointed out.

  • Query Translation in Portuguese

    Hello All,
As per my understanding, when you login in different language(portuguese) and run the query, it should automatically translate entire content in Portuguese language right??
But when I do so, I am still getting all the text elements and headings in EN.
I tried using SE63 to translate the query, but it says texts not found.
What is the exact procedure to translate the queries in different language.
    Thanks-

That would be a great idea! I have my mobile settings to Portuguese (Portugal) and Spotify assumes Brazilian Portuguese...

  • Translation of radio buttons in query?

    Hi all,
I need to translate a query from EN to ES, so I used transaction SQ07, It works fine exept for 2 radios buttons that I've in the selection-screen, I can't find them in SQ07, and of course I can't use the normal translation because it's a Query generated report and not a normal one.
Any idea of where I need to look to translate the radio button text for a query ? All the others texts are translated ok.
    Thanks in advance.
    Enrik

    Hello Arun
Don't you think it is much easier that the user <b>directly </b>selects the tabstrip instead of going to a specific tabstrip, push a certain radiobutton followed by pushing a OK button in the application toolbar???

  • Currency Translation feature in BEx reports

    Hi colleagues,
As you know, when creating queries, you can right click a given key figure and from Currency Translation frame you can select a customized Currency Conversion Key so OLAP engine displays the "converted" value of such Key figure. Standard TCURR table is used for the conversion.
Also, RRC1 txn. code can be used to create Currency Translation Keys to be used in query designer as described before.
I have created a "currency translation key" (let's name it ZTAXILOC) in RRC1.
I have changed my query in the query designer to use this "customized Currency Conversion Key (ZTAXILOC)". My query uses an InfoSet as "infoprovider".
However, when executing query on BEx Analyzer, I receive error message "Cannot apply currency translation type ZTAXILOC in infocube ZTXA04LA3", where ZTXA04LA3 is the name of my infoset that feeds my query.
The Diagnosis is: "You tried to translate a query element with the currency translation type ZTAXILOC. The translation type ZTAXILOC, however, has VARIABLE TIME REFERENCE, relevant to "DH Document Date" characteristic, which is not available in ZTXA04LA3 infoprovider....".
The "DH Document Date" characteristic exists in the ZTXA04LA3 infoset, but technical name changes since for Infosets, BW system dynamically assigns a technical name for each element in the join and it differs from technical in source ODS.
    My question is:
Can I use custom "currency translation keys" in query designer if my query uses an infoset as infoprovider? or is custom "currency translation key" just allowed in queries that use an ODS/InfoCube as infoprovider? or should I provide RRC1 with technical name for "DH Document Date" existing on ZTXA04LA3 infoset?
    Please advise.
    Thank you.
    Mario Vallejo.

We are running into similar currrency conversion issues on an infoset.  We have an existing currency conversion key created using RRC1.  The existing currency key is set up as follows:
    TO_USD     Convert to USD (Billing)
Exchange Rate Type = Standard translation at average rate
Dynamic Exchange Rate Determination = Yes
    Inverse Exchange Rate = No
Source Currency from Data Record = Yes
InfoObject for Determining the Source Currency = No
Selection of Target Currency with Translation = No
Fixed Target Currency = Yes = USD
InfoObject for Determining Target Currency = No
    Fixed Time Reference = No
Variable Time Reference = Yes = To the Exact Day = Special InfoObject (0BILL_DATE)
    Query Key Date = No
We convert sales amounts to USD using this conversion key on existing cubes.  When trying to apply the same conversion key to the new infoset, we received the following error:
Diagnosis:You tried to translate a query element with the currency translation type TO_USD. The translation type TO_USD, however, has variable time reference or variable target currency relevant to characteristic Billing doc. date. Characteristic Billing doc. date is also not available in InfoProvider ZBILLCOST and it references either none or more than one characteristic () of the InfoProvider for Billing doc. date, or Billing doc. date is not a base characteristic.
We have tried to steps in the response to this thread and continue to receive the error.
In Step 1, the only thing that we think we can change is the info object text in the infoset, not the technical name, is this correct?
In Step 2 & Step 3, we have never used variables for currency conversion.  We create the currency key using the RRC1 and select the info object for conversion.  We did try creating a new currency key in RRC1 and tried to find the newly named (text) info-object for billing date on the infoset, but it wasn't listed as an option under special info-object.  Do you have more information on how to create the variable in query designer and how it is used and how to assign to the currency translation?

  • Currency Translation for Calculated Key figures

Hello Friends I want to use the Currency Translation for Calculated Key figures.
But when I go to Query and go to conversion tab it is always greyed out. Does that mean we can set the fixed conversion type for calculated key figures. like ZSAD Total debit - credit -flow value.
What is the way to do fixed currency translation in query for calculated key figures.
All the below is done now just want to specify this in query but I can'nt since it is greyed out.
    All the below is done
I have created a Currency Translation Type " FiscperConversion" "ZVHGR" now this has Exchange Rate Type from Variable "ZVARN" (Which is a variable single value manual input on 0RTYPE Infoobject for exchange rate.)
    2. Now Currency Tab: Target Currency is selected from Variable placed in the Report. ZRPVAR.
    3. Now the Variable Time Reference is used. Standard Infoobject 0FISCPER
    which is beginning of period.

    Hi soniya
Your calculated KF is result of some calculation ...so system will not allow u to do any translation on it...to get CT on CKF you should do it on base key figure...still if you wish to do then you can create a formula variable having processing type a customer exit...write code in cmod to rad exchange rate and multiply ur CKF by this formula variable....
    Thanks

  • Currency translation key based on posting period 0fiscper3

    Hi Folks,
The requirement is to perform currency translation in query based on the end of period. The query uses the time characteristics as fiscal year (0FISCYEAR) and posting period (0FISCPER3).
I have maintained the currency translation key using RRC1 with variable time ref as 0FISCPOER3 .On executing the query I am getting error that 'No Exchange rate maintained ' .But the exchange rates are maintained in the system.
SAP Help states that the variable time reference has to be a standard InfoObject as 0FISCPER or 0FISCYEAR   or customer defined Infobject with type date.
0FISCPER3  is of type NUMC .
Is this the reason that I am not getting the currency translation ?? or I am missing out in some settings.
Please advise .Due points will be granted .
    Thx,
    Gautam

    Hi Gautam,
0FISCPER3 just stores the period values as 001, 002, 003 etc, with no reference to the year (and hence no reference to a fixed point in time). Try create the RRC1 key using 0FISCPER and use this in your query.
    Hope this helps...
