Transport analysis

Hello All,
I need some help on analyzing the transports. The situation here is that we have say about 500 transports that were imported into test system and took about 24 hrs. Now we want to import those transports into another system but to improve import duration, my boss wants me to prepare a list of objects in these tranports, recreate new transports (and include objects repeating in multiple transports into one transport request) and import them thereby reducing the number of transports to import from 500 to say about 400.
Can any of you help me how to get this information. Table E070 and E071 will provide the necessary list of objects in each transport request. But is there any other fast process to get this information.
Also can someone please let me know how can I find the total duration these 500 transports took to import in test system. Is this information also stored somewhere table/import history?

Analysis authorisation settings

Hi All
When using the standard business content characteristics , 0TCAACTVT,0TCAIPROV,and 0TCAVALID, within analysis authorisations. Do these characteristics need flagging as authorisation relevant in all clients, Dev Uat and Prodn, as at present they are only authorisation relevant in our Dev client, even though the authorisation exists in all clients.

Yes, these characteristics need to remain flagged as authorization relevant in all systems and clients. If not, please ensure to transport these characteristics from DEV first before transporting analysis auths.

Need badi for this scenario

Dear Experts,
My requirement is in the VA01 transaction after the entering data in to sold-to-party(KUAGV-KUNNR) it has to display one pop-up ,
In that have to maintain transport analysis i.e plant,dist,cost,mode of transportation.when ever user click the mode of transport that value has to insert in ROUTE(VBAP-ROUTE)
       program name:SAPMV45A
       screen number :4452.
i am displaying the pop-up using badi ADDR_PRINTFORM_SHORT, but unable to insert the value into ROUTE.
So please help me to resolve this issue.

calling function module 'POPUP_GET_VALUES'...
pass the entered values to memory id ....through
EXPORT < > TO MEMORY ID <>.
Use USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP IN MV45AFZZ ....and get the exported values from memory id through IMPORT < > FROM MEMORY ID < > ..
update the value of VBAP-ROUTE field value ....here ...

BRF Plus - features

Dear All - Our customer is considering the use of BRF Plus for their rules management and need information on the following:
1. Performance for large large rule sets - multiple instances of the engine for large, global and centralized installation
2. Details on the rules API and clear separation of the rule base from UI.
3. Understanding of how the engine handles chained rules. Do we have a choice on the strategy
(forward/backward chaining) for rule processing.
4. How does the engine handle conflict resolution? This occurs when there are conflicting rules.
5. Maintenance of the rules and the ability to monitor the rule engine

Thanks for helping us out.
When we do application clean up we get short dump with the following error 'A column name from a dynamically specified clause is ambiguous.'.
Not sure what this error means. We have implemented the oss note you mentioned and also do transport analysis. There we encounter lots of unnamed and unused guids, we have to manually delete these guids individually before the status turns green and be ready for release purpose. We thought we could do this using application clean up but somethings not working there.

Automatically change datasource for several workbooks

Hi all,
is there any possibility to change the data source (source system) of several workbooks at once? We have several BW systems with lots of queries with only one test BO Machine. Each BW system has the queries, but with different data (for example for tests of large projects).
Example:
BW-Query Q123 on BW systems BW1, BW2 and BW3 (transported with BW-Transport)
Analysis-Workbook W123 with connection to Q123 on BW1 on BO System BO1 (transported with the promotion management from development system)
This Workbook has to be copied to:
W123-2 with connection to Q123 on BW2 on BO System BO1
W123-3 with connection to Q123 on BW3 on BO System BO1
We know that we can make a copy of the query and change the data source manually, but for let's say 50 workbooks or even more that's too much effort (as it has to be done several times if there are new versions).

did I get you right, you like to exchange the datasource name (within a workbook in my case Workbookname is Test_1)like in my (figure) example ReportDistributor_Q001?
Or do you like to copy the workbook( Excel) in DEV ( Test_1) to quality system as Test_2 (including the same datasource
Or do you like to change both , Workbookname ( Test_1 => Test_2) and name of datasource(ReportDistributor_Q001 =>ReportDistributor_Q001_2) ?

SAP BI 7.3 Analysis authorization transport log

Hi,
We have transported a Analysis authorization to production system, I would like to know the exact changes moved through this transport carrying a particular analysis authorization.
The issue here is RSECVAL_CL has not recorded the changes done on this particular Analysis authorization in development system.
So please suggest if there is any table where we can look to find the exact changes made by this transport request.

I guess that is a problem and should be reported to SAP. However this table will give the value that has been deleted. New value to be checked in analysis authorization itself.
EDITED : If the AA been transported before then might look their content and compare them.

Hierarchy Analysis Authorization does not work after transport

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a issue in hierarchy analysis authorization in quality system but the same authorization works perfectly fine in development.
All hierarchy authorizations works in Quality except for this one. I found one old sap note describing this as program error but this note is not applicable in BW 7.3.
I have checked the table RSECVAL, RSECHIER and authorization is active so everything looks good. Please advise if anyone faced this issue after transporting hierarchy auths to other systems

What I understood from your description is that you have same role+AA in Dev and QA, which provides access in Dev for all the nodes for said hierarchy but in QA, same role+AA provides access to the same hierarchy for all the nodes but one. Try to create a ZTEST analysis authorization in QA itself with access for the problematic hierarchy node and see if it works ? This will rule out the case if there is a difference in hierarchy in DEV & QA.

Transport roles and analysis authorization with user assigned

Hi expert,
I face with this problem transport roles and analysis authorization with user assigned. When I have created a transport request to move the roles and analysis authorization from development system to test system. I couldnu2019t maintain the user assigned, after transport I have to assigned manually all of user or create a program to fill AGR_USER table or there are other way.

Hi,
In role administration, you have the following options for transporting roles:
You can download the roles from one system and upload them into another
You can import the role from a remote system using RFC
You can transport the roles with the transport function.
Role upload loads all role data, including authorization data from a file into the SAP system. The user assignments for the role and the generated profiles for the role are exceptions in this case.
Transporting Roles with the Role Transport Function
       1.      Start the role administration function by choosing Tools ® Administration ® User Maintenance ® Role Administration ® Roles (transaction PFCG).
       2.      Enter the role to be transported and choose Transport Role.
The Mass Transport of Roles screen appears. You can control the default settings for the options Also transport single roles for composite roles and Also transport generated profiles for roles using Customizing switches (see Role Administration Functions in the section Functions of the Utilities Menu).
You should not change the authorizations profiles of the role after you have included the role in a transport request. If you need to change the profiles or generate them for the first time, transport the entire role again afterwards.

Work book Transport BEx Analyser

Hi Experts,
I have a work book which I assigned to menu roles in Dev BW and need to get it transported to BW prod system.
I normally save this work book in roles and in my customised role and collect that work book in request to transport to prod.
I have a this problem in prod when I try to open the same work book in Prod system I have error message saying serviere program error has occurred and cannot open the work book in prod system.
please advise.
Is this problem with BEx Analyser or If I transport my role again to Prod system which is customised under which work book is saved.cant solve this issue please advise.
If I want to transport the role also how can I do that from PFCG my role name is ZXX_BW_XX.

Well I had this error message and in my case the reason was the way the .xhtml file was saved. Ie the file, for some curious reason was saved as UTF-16 instead of UTF-8. To see your encoding open the file that has the problem with chrome browser and go to "tools" and then "encoding". If you see that the encoding is not UTF-8 then open your file with "notepad" and then go to "save as" and then save it as text with "UTF-8" encoding. I hope this works. It worked in my case.

Role and Analysis Authorization Transport

Dear Experts,
I'm working with migration authorization project from 3.5 to 7.0. My doubt is when migrate in development enviroment enhancement each whith join S_RS_AUTH with Analysis Authorization which the role doesn't have any users assigning and transport to test enviroment where have a same role with user assigning. Do lose the user assign?

Hi,
I think it will orverwrite the Role. If you want to lock the target system against import of user assignments, you can goto sm30 (Table - PRGN_CUST). Make an entry - USER_REL_IMPORT (value - NO).

Transport Request for Analysis Authorization

Hello Everyone,
When a trasport request is created for any BI analysis authorization ( including the Z*), the type of trasport request created
is workbench request. What is the reason behind this because when any Customised Role / Profile is included in transport request this will be customised request unlike analysis authorization.

Hi Rashmi,
The difference is In BI, the AA authorizations are independent. Any objects that are independent of the client will be captured in the workbench type of transport request, when they are required in the other client. Hence you can see the Workbech type request for transporting changed Repository objects and changed system settings from cross-client tables. However, customizing requests involve changes recorded to client-specific Customizing objects .
The Analysis authorizations are always captured in a Workbench type of transport request by default due to the above design.
You can still transport both the PFCG role, and AA in a single transport request, you can do the same by following the steps mentioned in the below Wiki:

BI7 : Transport deletion of analysis authorizations

Hi,
I was just wondering if it is possible to transport the deletion of analysis authorizations exactly as we do for roles.
Do we have to first create a transport request with the analysis authorization before deleting them and then transport the request or do we have to delete them manually on each system?
I checked in the documentation but I didn't find anything similar.

Thank you for your answer. I already worked on the analysis authorization concept and I have seen this blog while I was searching for an answer regarding deletion but unfortunately there is no explanation about it.
I was just wondering if it is exactly like in PFCG because there is no pop-up message in RSECADMIN explaining that it must be added first to a transport request.
According to Zaheer it works exactly the same so I will test.

Open PO Analysis - BW report issue

Hello Friends
I constructed a query in BW in order to show Open Purchase Orders. We have custom DSO populated with standard
datasource 2lis_02_itm (Purcahse Order Item). In this DSO we mapped the field ELIKZ to the infoobject 0COMP_DEL
(Delivery completed).
We loaded the data from ECC system for all POs and found the following issue for Stock Transport Purchase orders (DocType = UB).
We have a PO with 4 line items. For line items 10 and 20, Goods issued, Goods received and both the flags "Delivery
complete" and "Final delivery" checked. For line items 30 and 40, only delivery indicator note is issued for zero
quantity and Delivery complete flag is checked (Final delivery flag is not checked) in ECC system. For this PO, the
delivery completion indicator is not properly updated in the DSO for line items 30 and 40. The data looks like the
following:
DOC_NUM     DOC_ITEM      DOCTYPE     COMP_DEL
650000001       10     UB        X
650000001       20     UB        X
650000001       30     UB
650000001       40     UB
When we run the Open PO analysis report on BW side this PO is appearing in the report but the same is closed in ECC
system.
Any help is appreciated in this regard.

                     Yes the indicator is checked in EKPO table for items 30 and 40 and delta is running regularly for more than 1 year and no issues with other POs. This is happening only for few POs of type Stock Transport (UB).
                    I already checked the changes in ME23N and the Delivery completed indicator was changed and it reflected in EKPO table. Further, i checked the PSA records for this PO and i am getting the records with the Delivery completed flag but when i update from PSA to DSO the delivery completed indicator is not updating properly.
                   In PSA, for item 30 i have the following entries. Record number 42 is capturing the value X for ELIKZ but after that i am getting two more records 43 and 44 with process key 10 and without X for ELIKZ. I think this is causing the problem.
