Transporting an ABAP query from DEV to QAS/PRD

Hi all,
I am trying to modify an existing query in DEV and move it to QAS and then to PRD. After making the changes in DEV, there was new transport request created, in which I had the changes for the query and in se93, i changed the name of the prog to the newly generated prog. after moving the transport to QAS, it is giving me a dump saying that the new prog generated in dev does not exist in QAS and hence the tcode does not work.
after that i tried with the standard SAP report "rsaqr3tr" and tried to make another transport assuming that the program would be together with the transaction and will be transported together. But this does not work.
I need help regarding this please - since it is an urgent rek - how do i transport the query after making changes to the already existing one - from DEV to QAS or PRD?
Please explain in detail where and what I am missing.
Thanks!

But when I look with tcode SQ01 and SQ02 in QAS, there are none of my infoset or query appeared.
    Please, what should I do?

Check wether yr request transported correctly since these type of requests generally locked..

    Check in quality..

Check here for yr request wether transported or not..

  • Transport Questions and Questionnaires from Dev to QAS or to PRD

    Question
How do we transport questions and questionnaires from dev to QAS or to PRD. Do you type all them again or there is process no. What is best process others do
    Answer
As you must be aware, Questionnaires are updated from a Recruiter start page in the front end which cannot be saved in a change request.
At least Iu2019m not aware of any other way to move the Questionnaire details across clients.
I know that it is quite a bit of a task to repeat the activity of maintaining questions and response in questionnaire/s across clients, particularly When you have to maintain big questionnaires (with lots of questions & multiple responses). But As it is , Process templates, Questionnaires have been considered as a recruiters day-to-day administration task in SAP which has to be done from the front end even in live environment
    Any body has soloution ?
    Thanks.

  • Problem while transporting Screen exit object from DEV to QAS client

    Hello All,
I have developed screen exit for tcode 'ME51N' to add customer field in newly added TAB. To grayout that field in display mode, I have added code on the PBO event of that screen. Code for PBO even has been written inside the include. Exit is working fine on development client.
After transporting the exit on QAS client the field graying out functionality in diplay mode is not working eventhough the include which contains the code for PBO even is exist on QAS. Also in flow logic if i double clock on the PBO module event, it says object does not exist, eventhough the include which contains the PBO event code exist in QAS.
Please, help me to understand why the linkage between flow logic PBO event and the include where the PBO code has been written is not getting transported from DEV to QAS.

    Hi,
First check the TR log if there is any errors. If no errors, then check if all the objects were properly transported or not.
You might have missed out in transporting the enhancement activation(CMOD).
Try to Rebuild the object list for updating the navigation index. You can do this from SE80=>Rightclick on function group=>More functions=>Rebuild object list.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • How to move the TR for ABAP query from Dev to Qua

    Hello Experts,
We are into suppoort project. I have requirement to add one field in the existing query ME80FN. I have copied the standard query in to "Z" and created transaction code for the same. When I move the transport request from dev to quality, only Info set got transported. Quary is not getting transported and also the transaction code as well. Could you please guide me is there any other method we need to use to move the transport request.
Note: Created query in the global area.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi,
you can transport queries between systems in SQ02 (hit the lorry button) or run program RSAQR3TR.
You download the infosets, queries etc into a file and load them into whichever system you wish.
Just wanted to share my experience of transporting queries:
I needed to move a user group, 2 infosets and 3 queries from a 4.6 system to a 4.7 system.
When I tried doing this via the SQ* transactions I did not get the import/export option, so instead ran RSAQR3TR.
Step 1. Run RSAQR3TR in 'old' system. Select EXPORT and specify the objects to be transported.
(System includes these in an automatically created transport request)
Step 2. Release this transport and request it be transported to 'new' system.
(This results in the entries being populated in transport table AQTDB in 'new' system).
Step 3. Run RSAQR3TR in 'new' system. Select IMPORT and tick the Overwrite checkbox. Specify the transport number in the field labelled 'dataset with imports'.
(RSAQR3TR gives the message that stuff has been imported OK).
Step 4. In my example I still couldn't find the queries, so ran RSAQR3TR one more time, this time specifying 'Copy Standard Area -> Global Area'.

  • Transported query from DEV to QAS no applicable data

Hi all, any idea why queries transported from a DEV system to a QAS system will not execute?  I am getting no applicable data even though the data is in the cube. I am not having much luck with new queries either.  Please advise.  Anna Marie

    Hi Anna,
    Looks really strange...
Are you sure data is reportable on your InfoCubes on QAS? (do you see the table icon on the right of all request ids?).
Are you sure query is not filtering too much data? Please, check this by displaying filtered values with 'Display text elements -> All' on BEx Toolbar.
    Regards,
    David.

  • Transporting SQ01 Customer Query from DEV to PRD

    Hi All,
I am not sure whether I am in the right forum, but maybe you still can help me.
I created SQ01 for Customer Master query in our DEV environment, and i assigned t-code for the query.
Can i transport it in our PRD? Or it is more advisable to create the t-code in PRD directly?
Please note that the query is both existing in DEV and PRD.
    Hoping for your positive feedback.
    Thank you.

    Hai TINA,
Hope you would have created T code using SE93 for your query program.
and your SQ01 program may be like this, and in the program the bold letter differs from client to client.
    AQ    FU  SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
    AQ    IC   SYSTQV000003XXXXXXX===
So while transporting it may give error that the program is not in the client, or while executing the T CODE it may give dump.
Hence create the query in production client and create the T code for the program and assign to the users.
    Some tips may be helpful:
    1. Always Use T code : SQVI to create the ALV report, user friendly that SQ01.
    2. In case if you are making Customer master details report, if you are include all customer master tables, in case for some customer if some details were not maintained then the details will not displayed.
In that case, in the joint between two respective tables, right click and change it to Left Outer join.
    3. If some data is replicated, then need to change the table path, like in case of billing always start from Biling item then to Billing header.
    Regards,
    Mani

  • Transporting a SAP Query from DEV to PRD

    Hi,
We created a Query Report using SQ03, SQ02 and SQ01 for Travel Report in DEV and is working fine. Now, we want to move this query to PRD. For this, we tried create a Transport using SQ02>Environment>Transports and finally a transport request was generated and moved to PRD.
But the requisite Query, Infosets and User Groups are not there in PRD. Are we using the correct approach to Transport a Query to PRD?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    CMC Team

    1. While saving User Group in SQ03, save it in correct Package (not as Local Object) and a Transport Request will be created.
    2. Create Infoset in SQ02 and save it in same Transport which was created in Step 1 above.
    3. Create Query in SQ01 and again it in same Transport which was created in Step 1 above.
Release this Transport Request and move to PRD.
    Hope it will help you.

  • How to transport BO report from Dev to Qas

    Dear all,
We have three clients for BO, Dev,Qas and Prd. When we transport the BO reports from Dev to Qas, the  parameters in Universe and QAAWS won't be changed automatically, just keep the setting in Dev.
what can I do to change the setting automatically?
    Best regards
    Tianli

    Hi,
you can ask basis to maintain logical system conversion settings .
However  if you post the Query in BO forums you would get better response.

  • Unable to transport Integratin Builder objects from Dev to QA correctly

    Hi,
    System : Pi 711 SPS03
SLD 7.1 with  latest model and content
We are trying to transport Integration Builder Objects from Dev to QAS, but the SID translation from DEV to QAS is not working.
The interface is being imported as the source SID.
We checked the SLD configuration for Transport targets, that is when we realised the below issue.
Unable to Assign Business Systems in respective Business System Groups
The expected configuration of the SLD is as below:
UKD_400  - Integration Server for Dev PI 711 server
INTEGRATION_SERVER_UKQ - Integration Server for QAS PI 711 server
XI_QA - Business System Group for all Quality Systems in the landscape
              1) UKD_400
              2) UC1_ECC_60
              3) UED_400
XI_DEV - Business System Group for all Developement Systems in the landscape
              1) INTEGRATION_SERVER_UKQ
              2) UC2_400
              3) UEQ_400
We are unable to put the business systems in their respective groups
All the Business systems are either being assigned in XI_QA or XI_DEV
Please let us know if this is a product error in SLD 7.1, could not find any relevant notes
    Thanks,

We  have already  assinged the Integration server to their respective business system groups while creating the Business system groups.
       BSG: XI_DEV --> UKD_400( Integration Server DEV )
      BSG : XI_QA  ---> INTEGRATION_SERVER_UKQ( Integration Server QA)
As per documentation, the business systems should be automatically assigned to their respective Groups based on their association with Integration Server.
But, we are not seeing this behaviour, both the Integration servers are being assigned to the same Business System Group.
Please help me understand if i am something in the configurations.
    Thanks

    Kind regards,

    Hi Jith,
First of all try to consolidate all your objects in a single TR and then move to Q from D.
In this case check for the list of objects that you have in your TRs. If TR 3 have all the Objects that were in TR1, TR2, then transporting TR3 alone will work.
Also, you can find the information related to the elements that were missed in your TR1,TR2 by following process.
    1. Go to your transport Logs and then to the entries marked as Error.
    2. There you will find the Query Element Ids, copy them
    3. Now, go to Table(Se16) RSZELTDIR, there enter those query elements.
Now, you can able to find the elements that you have missed in your TRs. Hope this helps you.

  • How to transport modified query from Dev to QA??

    Hi All,
I have made a few changes to a query that has already been transported to QA from Dev. I have removed an Infoobject and introduced a new Infoobject and other such changes.
Now I would like to transport the "new version" of the same query from Dev to QA again so that all the new changes are reflected in QA environment as well.
What steps or procedures do I need to follow for this please?
    Thanks for your time,
    Regards,
    Reddy

    Reddy,
BW reporting objects (query / Workbook / WAS tempalte) change transport system is different than other BW development objects (Infoobjects, cubes, transfer/update rules etc..).
Before you start making changes to any Query objects (which are already transported before), first you need to assign the respective Request in the "Transport Connection" tab (click on the BEX with truck symbol icon) and assign your request with the package name.
    hope this helps a little..
    Good luck

    Regards,
    Julio

    Hi,
The problem is that I can't transport any object (Datatypes, message types, service interface, message mapping, etc.) in XI from DEV to QAS.
I did all the steps to transport objects:
    1. Export the objects from XI-DEV
    2. Import them in XI-QAS
    3. A message of successfull import is shown; however the objects can't be visualized. When I check the log it shows the message that I copied in my previous post.
    Hope you can help me.
    Thanks.
