Tray Function Tags

Hi,
Is it possible to create custom Tray Function Tags? I would like to add custom functions to the Iview Tray and turn those functions on or off in the Iview properties.
Thanks,
Raymond

I have read something about creating a custom tray with 'containerWithTrayDesign'. How I see it this creates a custom tray but I still have to use the Tray Function Tags from the TagLibLayout.
I this correct?
YES, this is correct.
Why am I not allowed to develop my own custom TagLibLayout or is it possible the modify/enhance the standard one?
You can have your own tags to show some options in the tray, but this again needs, modification of IView, as the option to set them visible/invisible should be set there.

  • System tray functionality in java

    Hi friends,
    I wanted to know which is the best package to use for implementing the system tray functionality in java.
    I read about systray, jtray,trayicon etc. I saw that TrayIcon is included in jdk 1.6. Is there any other included package in swing which will do this?
    i am just a beginner in swing programming.
    Thanks in advance.

    i would say not. as far as i can remember you can't directly set icons on a AWT MenuItem.
    and you shouldn't mix awt and swing components and most of the time can't do it anyway.
    however, if you have your own MenuItem i recon you could overwrite paint and paint the icons,
    i.e. images yourself using graphics2D methods.
    if you want to dig deeper into it, there are some good tutorials on paint:
    [http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/painting/]
    might be worth, if you really want to have images and icons on your menuitems.
    i have never done this myself for awt components, but it should work.
    just found something interesting though:
    [http://atunes.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/atunes/aTunes_HEAD/src/net/sourceforge/atunes/gui/views/controls/JTrayIcon.java?view=markup]
    apparently, using this class, which derives from the normal TrayIcon, you can set a JPopupMenu and therefore use normal swing components.
    i did not try it though, but it looks very promising.

  • JSTL 's function tag

    I have tried to use function tag in my jsp page. However, I kept receiving this error message:
    <h3>Validation error messages from TagLibraryValidator for c</h3><p>35: tag = 'out' / attribute = 'value': An error occurred while parsing custom action attribute "value" with value "${fn:toUpperCase(who)}": org.apache.taglibs.standard.lang.jstl.parser.ParseException: EL functions are not supported.</p>
    It seems that I got some configuration problem with function tag, but can't find out what it exactly is. The core, xml, sql, fmt tags all could run properly, I really can't understand what is wrong with function. I am using jstl 1.1 and located in the lib folder. I addressed
    <%@ taglib prefix="fn" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions" %>
    on the top of the page.
    Please help me out. Many thanks

    It dosen't work with out c:out. I found that I got
    different error messages if I address
    uri= "http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions" and
    "http://java.sun.com/jstl/functions" (no /jsp)
    Use the one with /jsp if you are using JSTL 1.1
    Use the ont without /jsp if you are using JSTL1.0
    >
    the second one shows
    The absolute uri: http://java.sun.com/jstl/functions
    cannot be resolved in either web.xml or the jar files
    deployed with this applicationProbably means you have JSTL 1.1
    I have already put the fn.tld file in the WEB-INF
    folder and mapped it in the web.xml. Take it out! All you need to do for JSTL 1.1 is put the standard.jar and jstl.jar into the WEB-INF/libs directory. No web.xml changes, no .tld placement, all that is handled in the JARS you put in the /lib directory.
    The IDE I am
    using is netBean 3.6. Anything else I missed? Please
    help me out. Thanks

  • CF 10 CFML function, tag definitions and help files in DW cs6

    I'm unable to view the new CF 10 CFML function, tag definitions and help files in DW CS6 after using the ColdFusion10_Tags_for_DW.mxp update file. I see that the 'CF10 Extensions' are enabled in Adobe Extension Manager CS6.
    When I pull up the Reference tab Book: 'Adobe CF Function Reference', I don't see canonicalize in the drop down of 'CFFunctions'.
    Is there an issue with updating the extensions within DW CS6?
    Any help would be great.

    I am afraid http://forums.adobe.com/community/coldfusion is more suitable for this question.

  • Does Mac OS X 10.5.8 disable CD tray function?

    I installed 10.5.8 in my G4 eMac an hour ago and have been unable to open the CD tray through the keyboard key or the command-E keys. This morning, prior to the new installation, the keyboard key functioned satisfactorily.
    Restarting the computer with the mouse pressed opens the CD tray, but does not fix the malfunctioning keyboard options.

    Thank you (and Allan) for your suggestions.
    I tried repair permissions with no luck; I tried re-installing, then repairing permissions, still no luck. There were a substantial number of permission anomalies identified, but not repaired.
    Finally, I did an Erase and Install from the 10.5.0 DVD. After the install, the keyboard techniques opened the CD tray like a charm. I, then, installed 10.5.8 Combo (without any other intervening software installation), and I'm back in the soup: the keyboard techniques for opening the tray -- the Eject button and Command-E -- are again inoperative. (I then ran Verify Disk Permissions, and there was only one anomaly, which I will seek to repair, but doubt it relates to my problem.)
    I have reluctantly concluded that 10.5.8 is buggy and will wait a decent interval for Apple to discover the problem and issue a fix.
    Thank you again for your help, and we'll see what happens.

  • Looking for struts bean:write   Equivalent function/ tag in jsf??

    Hi to all,
    I am quite new to jsf. Soi might be asking a stupid question.
    I just wanna to know is there an equivalent tag or simple scriplet that can provide the same function as strut <bean:write>?
    Thanks and regards,
    Chin Tat

    ok i am not a struts programmer but from a quick search i am assuming <bean:write> outputs in html the value of a property in your java bean?
    if this is the case then you simply use
    #{beanName.propertyName}
    i.e
    <h:outputText value="#{beanName.propertyName}"/>
    note your bean will have to be registered in you facesContext as a managed bean to do this (where beanName is the name of your managedBean)
    if bean:write doesn't do this sorry :) forget my answer

  • Performing math on Decode function tags and moving averages

    I have a query shown below to create columns for my report. Can I use the field names as shown in bold to perform math functions? Is there an easy way to do this?
    select Data_date,
    SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'SEF_F0348I',avg_value,NULL))"TE_Flow_mgd",
    SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'L_STEbod_con',avg_value,NULL))"TE_BOD_mgl",

    GROUP BY data_date;
    Also how would I perform a seven day moving average on "KG_BOD"
    Thanks - Very new at this.

    If you want avoid a sub-query, try this...
    select Data_date,
    SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'SEF_F0348I',avg_value,NULL))"TE_Flow_mgd",
    SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'L_STEbod_con',avg_value,NULL))"TE_BOD_mgl",
    SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'SEF_F0348I',avg_value,NULL)) * SUM(DECODE(tag_id,'L_STEbod_con',avg_value,NULL)) * 8.34*.45359 "KG_BOD"
    FROM daily_tag_data
    Where data_date >= to_date('12/31/2002','mm/dd/yyyy')
    GROUP BY data_date;
    just replace the 'column-alias' with the actual arithmetic fuction...

  • Does the Officejet 8600 Pro Premium N911n printer perform auto tray selection?

    I have an Officejet 8600 Pro Pemium N911n printer,  CN577A with two trays. My Operating Sysem is Win8,64bit,there are no error messages, no system changes.
    The HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in One series User Guide states that By default, the printer draws media from Tray1.If Tray1 is empty, the printer draws media from Tray2(if it is installed and loaded with media. I have Tray lock disabled ,Tay1 the default Tray and Automatic Tray Selection enabled.Prior to making these selections,I contacted HP support via email to report that this option was not working. I received a response that there is no method that will automatically select a tray when one tray is empty. The User 's manual states otherwise..This option might not work but it is part of this series of printers. I have both trays loaded and I will determine if it works after Tray1 is empty. Does anyone have one of these printers and the auto Tray function works? Thanks.

    Hello,
    Does someone try to create functions in JSP2.0?

    Code Sample:math.jsp

    The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
    org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /jsp2-tutorial/math.jsp(11,22) equal symbol expected
    Am I missing somethig?
    Thanks.

    Well, i think the code is perfectly fine , what you should look after : is there any servlet.jar exist in the jre/lib/ext on you java sdk ,you can determine whether EL 2 works by trying some jsp 2 examples provide with tomcat 5 alpha version .
    If it works , then it is not the alternative servlet.jar issue , most probably is your configuration errors.
    I have try my custom function and it worked well under tomcat 5 after resolving the earlier servlet.jar issue.
    By the way you don't have to put your tld file as described , simply place it under your /WEB-INF and edited your tomcat 5 web.xml to like my example given below .
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee web-app_2_4.xsd"
    version="2.4">
    <display-name>Display Name of the application</display-name>
    <description>
    application name
    </description>
    <jsp-config>
    <taglib>
    <taglib-uri>
    your tld file
    </taglib-uri>
    <taglib-location>
    /WEB-INF/your tld file.tld
    </taglib-location>
    </taglib>
    </jsp-config>
    </web-app>
    Please give it a try and let me know whether it works , I will provide more assistance if required.

  • SAPScript and dynamic tray selection

    Hi,
    A customer of mine has 2 identical SAPScript layout sets defined with 1 minor difference - within the page attributes a different printer tray has been defined (attribute called resource name) in order to choose a different printer tray ...
    I was wondering wether this value could not be dynamically set by the SAPScript output program (when opening the layout set or using a specific command) ?
    I didn't really find any special function or parameter in the open_form function module ... I find it a shame that only for the tray functionality we have to maintain 2 layout sets ...
    Or can this be achieved in a total different way?
    Thanks,
    Steven

    I am not sure if you can change Tray attribute on a page dynamically from print program.
    But I have a suggestion, Why don't you create two pages identical in one single SAPScript just with the Tray different on each one. And call appropriate page while printing dynamically from your program using Function "CONTROL_FORM".
    Advantage in this approach is, you do not need to maintain two different SAPScripts. And all code maintenance in SAPScript is common to both the pages, so do not need to make changes twice.
    Limitation is if you resize any window in one page need to do the same on the other page too. This is still OK because usually you do not resize as often as you make changes in the code.

  • JSTL escapeXml() function not working. . .

    Hi all,
    I have a problem trying to use the function escapeXml() from the functions tag library, my code is below. I have added JSTL1.1, both standard.jar and jstl.jar, to my project. I have placed the fn.tld in the WEB-INF directory and web.xml contains corresponding entries. Everything compiles etc.
    I am using JBuilder 2005; JDK 1.4.2, Tomcat 5.0 (Servlet 2.4 + JSP 2.0), Java 2 DSK v1.2 & later.
    When I web run the project its like the servlet container is not processing this function and it is returned to the browser as regular text, i.e. ${fn:escapeXml(product.productName)}
    Maybe it is something silly that Im doing (or not doing) but I would really appreciate some help if possible.

              Any help is greatly appreciated...
              thanks,

    Update: I just looked up the WL version and it's 8.1 sp3
              So, I guess, JSTL 1.1 (which includes jstl fn tags) is not supported by WL.... Someone correct me if I am wrong.
              Thanks,
