Treo Pro & Sent Items & Exchange Accounts

In spite of the fact that I have "Keep copies of sent items in Sent Folder" checked among my options, none of my sent items are anywhere to be found on my device.  I have 2 accounts (one Exchange and one IMAP) and sent items are completely empty.  It's difficult to be on top of business if I cannot see sent items when I'm away from my computer.
Every once in a while, my IMAP account stops sending emails, but I just installed a plug-in and hope that this solves the problem.  It was a hassle to delete and recreate the account every time...
Is there any way to install more than one Exchange account?

  • Email sent through Exchange account is garbled in sent items folder

    Hi,
I sent several test messages from my iPhone, using the Exchange account at work (I have Active Sync enabled through AT&T) to my personal Gmail account. The mail received on my Gmail account appears jut fine. The copy delivered to my Sent Items folder is fine when viewed from the iPhone, but screwed up when viewed in Entourage. I think the problem is a illegal blank line. To wit, this is what showed up in my Sent Items folder when I sent a short test message:
    MAIL FROM: <[email protected]>

In a legally formatted message, the body starts after the first blank line which, in this example, means that all the rest of the normative headers appear as the message. This also means that any MIME attachments show up simply as Base64 encoded text.
Has anyone else seen this problem and discovered how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Rob

  • Emails sent from Thunderbird go into the "Sent" folder. Emails from Android phone go into the "Sent Items" folder. MS Outlook sees both, but TB only sees "Sent"

My university runs MS Exchange server.
I use MS Outlook on my Univ computer, Thunderbird on my laptop, and exchange email client on my HTC One smartphone running Android.
Thunderbird saves email in "Sent" folder on the server. Android phone saves it on the "Sent items" folder. MS Outlook can see both the folders, but Thunderbird only sees the "Sent" folder.
How can I make Thunderbird see the "Sent items" folder?

assuming you use an IMAP mail account:
Tools > Account Settings > Copies & Folders for the mail account
If you want emails saved in 'Sent Items'
    select:' Place a copy in'
    select: 'Other'
choose 'Sent Items' on account name'
    click on OK
To see the 'Sent Items folder you would need to subscribe to see it.
If you have a Pop mail account, it cannot see any folders on the server.
It can only download emails from server Inbox to Thunderbird mail account Inbox.

  • Sent messages aren't saved in the Sent Items folder in Outlook 2013

When we send a message in Outlook 2013, a copy of the message should be saved in the Sent Items folder by default. If Outlook doesn’t save a copy of the sent message, it may be caused by any one of the following
    reasons:
The “Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder”
    option in Outlook is disabled.
The save location for sent messages was changed to another folder.
There is a custom view set on Sent Items folder, or the view on
    Sent Items is corrupt.
Outlook Data File may be damaged.
To resolve the issue, use the appropriate method for your situation.
Enable the Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder
    option
To configure Outlook 2013 to save copies of your sent messages in the Sent Items folder, please follow these steps:
    1. Click File tab > Options.
    2. Click Mail on the left pane.
    3. Scroll to the Save Messages section, select the check box before “Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder”.
    4. Click OK.
If it is the replying message that is not saving to the Sent Items folder, we need to disable the “When replying to a message that is not in the Inbox, save the reply in the same folder” option in the location mentioned above.
If you’re using an IMAP account, please also make sure you didn’t select the “Do not save copies of sent items” in Account Settings. To check this, Please refer to the following steps:
    1. In Outlook, click File tab > Info.
    2. Click Account Settings > Account Settings, and then double-click your IMAP account to open the
    Change Account wizard.
    3. Click More Settings button.
    4. Under Sent Items heading, clear the check box before “Do not save copies of sent items”.
    5. Click OK and click Next to complete the configuration.
Make sure there is no rule or anything else to redirect sent messages to other folders
To check if it is caused by Outlook rules, please follow these steps:
    1. In Outlook 2013, click Home tab.
    2. Click Rules > Manage Rules & Alerts.
    3. In the rules list, check if there is any rule that applied to the sent messages may cause this issue.
In addition, some rules may be corrupt or hidden and we cannot see them from the rules list. We need to use the MFCMAPI tool to find and delete the corrupt/hidden rules. To do this, we can use the following steps:
    1. Download MFCMAPI tool from: http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com/
    2. Start MFCMAPI tool.
    3. Click Session menu >
Logon, select the Outlook profile you are using and click OK.
    4. Double-click the mailbox that contains the inbox rules that you want to delete.
    5. A new window will open. In the new window, expand
Root Container or Root – Mailbox, and then expand
Top of Information Store or IPM_SUBTREE.
    6. Right click on Inbox and select
    Open associated contents table.
    7. In the Inbox window, locate and then right-click the items that have the
IPM.Rule.Message message class, and then click Delete Message.
To identify a specific rule, you’ll have to select the rule in the top pane in MFCMAPI and then scroll down in the lower pane and look at the
Property name(s) column. Find the ptagRuleMsgName property name and check the value against the rule name you were trying to delete in Outlook.
    8. In the Delete Item dialog, select
DELETE_HARD_DELETE from the Deletion Style drop-down menu.
    9. Click OK.
Reset the view settings on Sent Items folder
If you accidently changed the view settings on Sent Items folder, this may cause some sent messages not visible in the folder. To check if you’ve set any view settings on Sent Items folder, please follow:
    1. In Outlook, select Sent Items folder.
    2. Click View tab from the Ribbon.
    3. Click View Settings button. If you notice the
Reset Current View button is clickable, it means the view settings for Sent Items have been changed before.
    4. Click the Reset Current View button and then check the Sent Items folder again.
Scan and repair the Outlook Data File
To repair the .pst file, please follow:
    1. Find and start the Inbox Repair Tool in the following path:
For Outlook 2013 on a 32-bit version of Windows:
    <disk drive>\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15
For Outlook 2013 on a 64-bit version of Windows:
    <disk drive>\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15
    2. In the Inbox Repair tool, click Browse to locate the PST file by using the Windows file system.
    3. Click Start.
    4. After the analysis scan has completed, it will present you with a scanning report and options for the next step. Click Repair button.
To repair the .ost file, since this type of data file is a copy of information saved on your mail server, we can just delete the OST file and restart Outlook to re-create a new one.

Same problem here, connecting to a Groupwise (not latest) server. Whenever Mail.app 3 tries to upload/save a new messsage to the server, it would not save and completely lose the message!
I found slightly more information by turning off the "Save to server" option for Sent and Drafts, created a new message that I saved as draft, and then tried to manually move items to the Drafts or Sent folder on the IMAP server.
The error I received was: The message <message> could not be moved to the mailbox <mailbox>-<account>. The IMAP command "APPEND" (to <mailbox>) failed with server error: APPEND NotJunk.
To my inexperienced eyes, it looks like the latest version of Mail changed it's default IMAP handling commands that may be incompatible with older IMAP servers. Anyone else have more insight or know how I can get back Mail.app 2.x from Tiger?

  • Exchange email account disappears on treo pro

activesync works great on my treo pro with my corporate outlook exchange email account. but over the past two weeks, the exchange account has simply disappeared three or four times from my phone. (it is the only active account i have. i also have a yahoo account on the phone but it is set to manual updates.) for some reason the exchange account name and details are simply no longer in my list of email accounts and also not available in activesync.
this has happened most when i have not used the treo for a few hours. it is easy to reestablish the account by re-entering password etc and then re-sync everything. but it is also a troublesome pain. does anyone have an idea why this might be?
Post relates to: Treo Pro T850U (Unlocked)

I've never heard of the account simply disappearing. I would try a Hard Reset of the device and see what happens after that. If it continues to happen after a Hard Reset, you might want to talk to your Exchange Admin and see if they are kicking you off.

  • Sent items of my exchange account in iphone does not get updated

    Hi..
sent items of my exchange account in iphone does not get updated. Mails sent from iphone are getting recieved by everyone and same is getting updated in outlook. sent items for the same account in ipad is getting updated. I am not facing this problem with any other folders in my exchange account. someone please provide a solution for this. I have tried resetting, restoring but nothing works...

    Hi,
The problem could be the currency of the valuation area. It has to be the local currency. Maybe the company code has the local currency but the valuation currency is another.
Without having access to your system it is difficult to say. Maybe double check your customizing for assignment of update types for derived business transactions in spro:
    Transaction Manager
    -> General Settings
         -> Accounting
             -> Settings for Position Management
                  -> Derived Business Transactions
                      -> Update Types
-> Assign Update Types for Derived Business Transactions
    I hope this is helpful.

  • How can I turn off push for sent items in an Exchange account?

I have an Exchange account set up in iOS8.3.  I would like to set the sent folder to fetch rather than push.  And while I can go into my list of pushed mailboxes and uncheck the Sent folder, the change does not stick and goes right back to push when I go back into the settings.  This was not the case in iOS7.  I was just wondering if this was a bug in iOS8 or if this behavior is by design.  I already checked with my Exchange admins, and they stated that there is no policy preventing users from setting push and fetch as they please.  Thanks!

But why turn off battery charging, makes no sense in this case. You either run off the battery or plug it in and run off the battery while it is charging.
The power draw won't change appreciably.
My bad power consumption will change
It would seem the best strategy would be to get on with a fully charged battery plug in the laptop and let it trickle charge as you use it. Given the length of the flight this should give you the longest use with the minimum amount of draw from the seat outlet.

  • Unable to sync Sent Folder for Exchange Account

    Hi,
on my MacBook Pro I am using Mail to get my mails from an Exchange account. The problem is that I don't get all Sent messages in the Folder Sent.
On my iMac everything is working fine. When open the dialog "Account Info" on my iMac I see that there are 3000 message in the Sent folder. When I open the same dialog on my MBP I am getting the information that there are just 7 messages in this "Mailbox"
    Please, please, help
    regards
    Andi

Is there a folder under the Exchange IMAP mailboxes called Sent or Sent Items?
I'm not talking about at the top of the list where the Inbox, Sent, Junk etc resides, but towards the bottom of the mailbox list where all your IMAP account mailboxes are.
If so, select that folder and slect Use this mailbox for Sent from the Mailbox menu.

  • GoDaddy exchange account sent emails not appearing in sent folder in Mac Mail

The problem: I set up my business email address (GoDaddy exchange account) as a new email account in Mac Mail. A few days later I noticed that sent emails were no longer appearing in my sent folder for this account.
The solution: there was a conflict with the Gmail account that I also set up in Mac Mail a few days after I set up my business email. I have deleted my gmail account from Mac Mail and so far so good - sent emails are appearing again in the Sent folder in Mac Mail.
    Note:
    - Emails sent from webmail (Office 365 Outlook) did appear in the Sent folder.
    - GoDaddy thought there was a conflict in the name of the Sent folders (called Sent Items in webmail interface), but said it was a problem Apple should solve.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • Exchange "Sent Items" Missing issue in Mail

I lost my "Sent Items" mails and sync. I have looked all over this place and found nothing, but this one worked for me, I`ve taken the idea from here (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4173886?start=0&tstart=0) similiar to Calendar issue
    Open Mail
Go to the Mail > Preferences.
    Select the Accounts tab.
Remove the Exchange server account which is giving you the error messages.  This mailbox will be removed from the Mail app.
    Close Mail (cmd + Q)
Go to System Preferences and click on the "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" pane, find your Exchange server account, and check the "Mail" option to re-enable your Mail (I`ve got an "unknown problem" when activating, the last resort I tried was to close current session - and retrying this step - it worked for me this way)
Your Mail should now sync properly.
    Hope it works for you

  • Exchange Account "Sent" messages missing

    Hi All,
On Lion Mail (5.2) I have an Exchange (2010) account and everything is working well other than my "Sent" messages folder. There are many messages in my "Sent Items" folder in webmail (as well as when connected with other mail clients, Outlook, Evolution etc.) that do not show up in my "Sent" folder in Mail.app. Interestingly, when I send a message with Mail.app, it drops it in the "Sent" folder, and these show up just fine in webmail, so the "Sent" --> "Sent Items" mapping appears to be correct. Is there any way that I can get all of my sent messages to show up correctly? Thank you!

It doesn't mean the mapping is correct. If it's sent through the server and you have it set to store sent messages on the server, then the server is coping it to the folder. If it isn't showing in Mail, then it's probably not mapped correctly.
Check the exchange folder in the sidebar. If it isn't expanded, put the cursor over it until show appears. Then click show to expand the folder. If the Sent Items is listed under it, highlight it and choose Use This Mailbox For: Sent under Mailboxes in the menu.

  • No "sent" folder for exchange account in mail

    Hi There -
I recently added a hosted Exchange account to the Mail client. Everything is working great, but I can't seem to find the "Sent" folder anywhere...I tried the dropdown folder list and it's not in there.
    Any suggestions?

I had the same problem appear when I added a second exchange account into mac mail. I wanted my Sent email to pull from my primary email account. I deleted my primary account and re-added it. When it pulled all the messages in again, my Sent folder items came back.

  • IPad and iPhone mail sent items does not synch with exchange 365

This has been a longish term issue that vue ignored till now but...
I run exchange 365 hosted service from Microsoft, own domain.
It synchs all no issues with iPad and iPhone mail, contacts calendars etc all except sent items on mail.
My last synced sent items mail is 2012.
It tries to synch ie connecting etc, then fails, locking up mail synch for about an hour then on all folders.
Just want to be able to see sent items stuff

This was a user issue. The webmail account I have stored the Mails other folders under personal folders and there I found that my sent mail had been getting sync'd.
The answer is on the server not the OS Mail

  • Exchange 2007 delievered email not appearing in sent items

Hello forum, case of missing email. Exchange 2007 servers, standard MBX, HUB and TPT role, nothing out of the blue. A client complains that email delivery was successful but they cant find the email in sent items, neither the email is in deleted items.
Opened email tracking from Exchange toolbox and found that the email was sent and it was delievered to intended recipients, can also see that recipients replied to tha email which the sender recieved. Yet, the email is not in sent items? Another thing, logged
on to Outlook web client and can see the email in Outbox (yes, Outbox) not in sent items. Anyone else had similar issue or know why this happened - is it known problem? Where should I start looking? Mail client is Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 laptop. This hasn't
    happened before.

    Hi,
Depending on your post, I want to double confirm whether only some special user experience this question, or just several message flow reproduce this issue.
If so, please try to run Outlook with safe mode to prevent virus and add-ins.
Also, please try to configure this problematic account in another computer to narrow down the issue, for example outlook version, add-in or other 3rd application conflict.
    Thanks
