TREX -Apache configuration

Hi all,
I want to create a simple web repository for an intranet website. We have TREX and Apache web server running on Windows 2003 Server. Can you give me some document for configuring Apache-TREX on windows platform.
I don't find any Apache directory in my TREX directory as given in help.sap.com. Please throw some light on it.
Thanks in advance.
Janvi.

Hi Prem,
you will find installation documents for TREX on SAP Service Marketplace service.sap.com under /instguides.
There, under /sizing, you will also find TREX sizing info.
service.sap.com requires an S-User.
Regards, Karsten

    Fairly new to linux!
    Not sure where to go to from here!

    OK. I think I´ve found the solution. Apparently selinux needs to be in permissive mode:
    Check to see if permissive or enforcing
    cat /selinux/enforce
    0 = Permissive
    1 = enforcing
    If 1 run
    echo 0 > /selinux/enforce

  • How to adapt Apache configuration to OS X Server?

    I'm trying to get Server working on a Mac Pro that had been very happily running a number of websites with the built-in Apache installation all the way up to and including 10.8.  Sigh.  Server has been a complete nightmare in a bunch of areas, but especially with getting the websites working properly.  Things are sorta kinda working, but I'm nowhere near where I was before.  Maybe someone here can help...
    Here's how things are set up:
    My Apache config files are still in /etc/apache2 -- the main stuff is in httpd.conf, with a number of site definitions in /etc/apache2/other; these get loaded through an include statement in httpd.conf.
    I've created entries in the Websites section of Server pointing to the sites.  I've left the sites' files in /Library/WebServer/Documents where they used to be, and pointed the server entry to those files via the "Store Site Files In:" option.  In the cases where the domain name is something like example.com, I've set up the "Domain Name" entry in Server as www.example.com.  I've then added "example.com" as an "Additional Domain"
    What's happening is that the "www." versions of the sites are getting found and presented, but the basic domain doesn't work -- visiting www.example.com works, but visiting example.com doesn't.  In addition, some of the sites have nontrivial (and necessary) stuff in their config files -- redirection and the like -- and it's clear that the things specified there aren't happening.
    So, as a first guess, it looks like the config files in /etc/apache2 aren't getting read, or interpreted, or whatever.  If this is meant to be a real web server tool, surely there's a way to handle custom Apache configurations.  Does this may sense to anyone?  Are there any clues out there?  To my eye, getting this stuff working should have been trivial, and it's been nothing but a nightmare.

    Hi Jim,
    I've had similar problems with OS X server but have gradually overcome them all, through working out the 'intent' of the developers.  My main reason for installing OS X server was to take things back in house after one of my commercial sites got hacked.  With a very Apple-centric household, I thought it would make life easier with tools like Profile Manager.
    If you we're to ask me my reasons now, I would probably say its that I refuse to be beaten as I have spent so much time getting it right.
    The good news from your point of view is that there are loads of people like me within the forums who can help with whatever ails you!
    My config is as follows:
    OS X standard Apache and Postgres
    PHP 5.4 with additional modules for imap integrated with OS X Apache but never to be clobbered by OS X upgrades.
    MySQL via homebrew.
    Running on OS X server.
    Domain1.com - OS X wiki server
      - Roundcube Webmail installed as a webapp with MD5 auth ( can be attached to any website domain this way)
    -   Webapp for Reverse proxy to an Ubuntu Server instance running under Parallels VM on same machine (different IP address) providing UPS monitoring and shutdown of all machines on network through NUT and SNMP monitoring via Cacti. My particular UPS's (Powerware 5110 x 2) USB driver not working under OS X power management nor NUT under OS X.
    - 2 minecraft servers for my son and his mates!
    Domain1.com.au - commercial site running Drupal CMS  / Postgres
    Crm.domain1.com.au - SugarCRM CE 6.5 / MySQL integrated with OS X mail and calendar server.
    Web mail via webapp
    Domain2.com.au - commercial site - HTML
    Webmail via webapp
    Why not list what you are trying to do and what's not working and we can try to sort it out.
    Cheers
    Gerry

  • Custom Apache configurations?

    In the httpd.conf, there is a line that is commented out like this:
    #include "myDirectoryStructure/iAS/Apache/Apache/conf/cust_custom_apache.conf"
    I cannot find where to manage that line using the Oracle Applications Manager that is used to configure the installation.
    Can anyone shed light on the proper way to add customized Apache configurations to iStore without manually editing the httpd.conf file?

    1. "#include "myDirectoryStructure/iAS/Apache/Apache/conf/cust_custom_apache.conf" was generated by autoconfig.
    autoconfig uses:
    A. $FND_TOP/fndnsd70.drv
    B. $FND_TOP/fndtmpl.drv
    C. httpd_ux_ias1022.conf: #include "%s_iASconfig_home%/Apache/Apache/conf/cust_custom_apache.conf"
    to generate that line in httpd.conf file.
    2. Uncomment this line from httpd_ux_ias1022.conf template file to make your customizations in cust_custom_apache.conf.
    3. The contents of cust_custom_apache.conf is not maintained by OAM yet, because it's commented out in its seeded template file.

  • How to customize mavericks' mac osx server apache configuration?

    I have installed Mac OSX Mavericks Server and I would like to add some features to the Apache Server (gitolite, redmine, etc.) I've started with updating the httpd_server_app.conf file in/Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2 but unfortunately it has been overwritten by the server to its default. Maybe because I've updated something in the UI, or an update occurred... Anyway, I would like to know how can I update the configuration file in a permanent and persistent way, and still benefit the OSX Server UI and/or updates...
    I've probably missed the big : "Put your own things here:" label...
    PS: By the way, I wish to modify some of the current configuration, not only adding things...

    If you scroll down through the standard httpd_server_app.conf file you will eventually find a section full of include options. (Some of which are commented out.)
    One of these enabled include options is for /Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2/other/*.conf
    The implication of this is that if you put your own httpd.conf file in the 'other' directory then any settings you put in it will be included in your Apache configuration and will not be over-written by Apple's Server.app software.

  • How to do Apache configuration for two different domains

    Hi ,
    I was just trying out some clustering workshop on weblogic. I faced a issue..here is the scenario :
    I have two clusters :
    Cluster1 : 3 managed servers (server1,server2,server3)
    Cluster2 : 2managed servers (server4,server5)
    I have two sample applications which i have deployed on these two clusters i.e app1 on cluster1 and app2 on cluster2.
    These two aplications are deployed successsfully as i am able to open these applicatons from browser by calling the individual port of the managed server like : http://localhost:7003/app1.
    Now i have installed a apache server on my laptop and configured the http.conf file.
    Issue : I am not able to call both the application from apache. If there is only one cluster then it is working fine and for two application only one cluster (application) is working that too whose port is defined in the last.
    Here are the contents of my httpd.conf file :
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do not begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
    # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
    # will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    # at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2"
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
    #Listen 12.34.56.78:80
    Listen 80

  • Apache configuration for proxying requests to Weblogic SSL port

    Hello Everyone,
    I want to proxy requests from Apache to Weblogic server on its SSL Port 7002. I am using the default SSL demo version provided by Oracle/BEA.
    Both my Apache and Weblogic instances are running on same machine.
    This is the procedure I followed. I enabled SSL port on Weblogic. Added below configuration to Apache conf file. I am passing trusted.crt file inside WL_HOME/server/lib as parameter to TrustedCAFile .

    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>

    TrustedCAFile "C:/trusted.crt"
    RequireSSLHostMatch false

    I'm using WL9 and Apache2.2
    I had exact same issue as above (which I solved with these directions) in additiion to another issue, that only showed once I enabled full logging, since it shows as warning/info, not as error
    First to enable full logging, add this
    Debug ALL
    WLLogFile "C:/wl_proxy.log"
    Then after a failure (even after fixing the above), look at the log, and if you see this INFO/WARN:

    that means you have same problem as I do. The WeblogicHost inside the Location descriptor should match the actual host name for the machine. I believe it's easer because the certificate created by weblogic during its installation will encapsulate the machine host name, or because the SSL validation mechanism expects the machine host name, nothing else.

  • Apache Configuration Question

    Simple question:
    I'm doing a one-off PHP/MySQL application where everything runs locally. Firewall activated, so I'm not too worried about security. :-/ Apache is configured as included with Tiger. Using Marc Lianage's PHP binary. MySQL is 5.0.
    Here the rub: I have a bunch of images in /Users/MyDir/Images that I want to access from HTML pages being served from /Library/WebServer/Documents/Dir/Path/prog.php.
    This is what I added right under the <Directory /> block (under, not in) in httpd.conf:
    <pre>
    <Directory /Users/MyUser/Images>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    </Directory>
    </pre>
    Horribly insecure. I know. The problem is that these files aren't being served. The HTML is fine, but nothing is rendered. Is my directive correct? Is there something else I'm missing?
    Thanks,
    Mark
    P.S. I couldn't find a high-traffic Usenet group for this question--any suggestions?
    Message was edited by: chollapete for formatting.

    Gnarlodious for the win!
    I'll just recap the fix for anyone who searches after me:
    The way I read the apache.org documentation, being able to access directories and files not under the Apache Documents root seems to require both the Alias directive and the Directory directive in the httpd.conf configuration file.
    It also requires that the entire filepath be have *nix file permissions set so the Apache user has permission to access the entire actual pathname. Experimentation showed that all directories in the pathname have to have both read and execute permissions set. Since Apache as configured by Apple runs as a different user and group than you, all directories in the pathname must be world-readable and world-executable.
    However, when I commented out the <Directory> block shown below, it still worked the way I wanted. So, maybe you just need the Alias directive.
    I'm certainly no Unix guru and everything I'm doing runs locally behind a firewall, so know what you're doing if you use this information. :-/
    Here's the recap of what I added to httpd.conf:
    <pre>
    Alias /image_dir /Users/MyDir/SubDir
    #<Directory /Users/MyDir/SubDir>
    #Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
    #AllowOverride None
    #Order allow,deny
    #Allow from all
    #</Diretory>
    </pre>
    This was placed immediately after the <Directory "/Library/WebServer/Documents"> block that is part of the as-shipped configuration file. This, and the aforementioned changes to make the actual filepath accessible to the apache process.
    HTH. Use at your own risk!
    Peace out.

  • Apache configuration for weblogic

    Hi All
    I need your help for configuring my apache for weblogic. Actually we created 2 non clustered server and deployed an application on them. Now we want to achieve the load balancing on the apache side. So, I am just wondering what exactly I should write down in http.conf to achieve it.
    e.g in clustered environment we give :
    <Location /process>
    WebLogicCluster abc:7210,xyz:7210
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    </Location>
    where abc and xyz are cluster members.
    If you have any idea then please share it.
    Thanks in Advance.

    To configure Apache Plug-in with Weblogic Server, follow the steps below
    1. To make Apache server run on a different port say 8080, other than the dafault (80).
    Modify the httpd.conf present at
    D:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\conf
    Change the Listen port to 8080 in the httpd.conf file
    Listen 8080
    2. Copy the mod_wl_20.so from \wlserver_10.3\server\plugin\win\32 to
    D:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\modules
    3. Apply the plug-n module by adding these in the httpd.conf file
    LoadModule weblogic_module modules/mod_wl_20.so
    <Location />
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    </Location>
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    WebLogicCluster localhost:7003,localhost:7005
    Debug ON
    WLLogFile c:/temp/wlproxy.log
    WLTempDir c:/temp
    </IfModule>
    4. Restart the Apache Server

  • TREX language configuration

    Hi,
    i have tried to delete some languages for trex, so that TREX does not create indexes for this languages.
    I followed the instructions on this page (deleted the entries in the utf8-section)

    and reindexed my indizes, but the indexes for the deleted languages are although created.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance
    Sven

    Hello Sascha, Hello Paul,
    yes, there were more than one file and i changed the wrong one. The right file and the information from the note solved the problem.
    Thank you.
    After changing the configuration and restarting trex, a reindex doesn't change the settings for an index. It is necessary to create it new.

    That's odd. It should work without that line as long as php.ini open_basedir would contain those same paths.
    Have you checked that php is configured properly and working? Is phpinfo(); page displaying everything as it should?

  • Server Admin completely Useless for advanced apache configurations?

    If you are doing things like rewrites with mod_rewrite Server Admin messes up the config e.g. by removing duplicate but necessary rewrite conditions. Further the site edit thing at all has some very strange bugs I can't really describe - it does some weird renaming and so on. Realms and Webdav seems to be problematic to as soon as you need to modify something by hand.
    In short - Server Admin is still not usable for productive Apache deployment. Apple should have a look on Tenon iTools or other tools out there which don't mess with your config so much.
    For myself I decided not to use Server Admin for apache Administration anymore cause I am frightened.
    Maybe I am wrong - If yes try to tell me how to get things right with it.

    Server Admin provides a simple front-end for many common tasks. If you need more flexibility, then you may find that you need to edit the configuration file yourself.
    There is a config file which is included into httpd.conf but which Server Admin never touches, and you should put your custom configuration directives into that. You shouldn't modify the file which Server Admin is responsible for
    I forget what the different files are called, I don't have access to an installation of Server at the moment; however there are useful comments in httpd.conf which explain it IIRC.

    One of our production boxes are running on iFS1.1.9 with JWS listener.The iFS server is going down very frequently for every 4 to 5 hours.We opened up a TAR with ORACLE and they suggested increase the JVM heap size.We doubled the heap size and it seems to be useless and the server is behaving in the same manner as it did before.We reopened the TAR and they concluded that the JWS listener is unstable and we need to migrate the JWS to Apache.They gave the upgrade instructions also.We did in the same way as the ORACLE people instructed.We started the iFS and the APACHE listeners and we tried to access the iFS admin WEBGUI.It sometimes throws 500 internal Server error and sometimes 404 error.We did lots of investigation to get the iFS admin login screen by changing the DocumentRoot property in httpd.conf file of APACHE.Everythig is fine upto this point.We are now trying to access the applications which were running fine on JWS listener and they are not coming up.They are throwing 404 not found error.
    Can anyone suggest me that what configuration changes that needs to be done to make the applications working on APACHE also?
    We lost almost one month of business due to this.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Jim,
    I've had similar problems with OS X server but have gradually overcome them all, through working out the 'intent' of the developers.
    Cheers

  • Weblogic apache configuration

    We are using Apache 1.3.12 as a web server and Weblogic Server 5.1.0 as a
    app server. I wanted to turn off Weblogic to run as web server so I set the
    following property to false
    weblogic.httpd.enable=false.
    After this when I start apache and weblogic and invoke a a jsp page I get
    403 (access forbidden error).
    When I change weblogic.httpd.enable=true
    It works fine. Can you please tell me the solution ?
    Rakesh

    Could you let us know what is the usage of weblogic.httpd.enable ?
    I set this property to false and start the weblogic server, all servlets and ejbs
    are got deployed, but when my ejb client try to find the bean home and failed.
    I suppose that flag only disable http service so other web server such as apache
    can be used.
    Thanks

    In order for Apache to retrieve pages from WebLogic it must also run
    as a
    web
    server. Http must therefore be enabled.
