Trigger BPM without Abap Proxy

Hi there,
my scenario:
BPM (XI)-> JDBC -> IDOC
is it possible to fire an event on the intergration server for starting the xi bpm ?
abap proxy is not the solution because my webas is only configured as an integration server.
thanks
sebastian

Hi,
is it possible to trigger the bpm with a async message ?
rfc is a sync call. because some async steps (idoc, aleaud) in the bpm a rfc call
as trigger would block a dialog process at the appl server for a several time.

  • Sending the Purchase Ordr frm ECC to PI(BPM) thrgh ABAP proxy communication

    Hi Experts,
We have a requirement where we have to send the Purchase Orders(PO's) generated in ECC system to PI where the PO will be routed to webservices after some error handling(in BPM).etc.
We are able to generate the PO's in ECC system, but are searching for a way to push this data to the Service INterface (which we have generated through ABAP proxy connection in SPROXYin ECC) which we have used for implementing the BPM in PI.
We have thought of using BADI to push the PO's to the Service INterface. But have not been able to find a suitable BADI.
Please help in finding a suitable BADI or Suggest any Better way for doing the same if you are aware of....
Please respond quickly as we have short deadlines to be met....
    Thanx in advance...
    Nandan

    Hi Raja Sekhar,
      Thanx for the quick reply.
If i have got you point right, you are telling me to right a program that will fetch the PO's and push the data into our Interface.
Let me explain you the complete scenario, we already have a ECC to SUS thrgh PI implemeted for the same PO's generated. Our requirement is that depending on the vendor details in PO's we have got to route the PO details to either SUS or BPM.
I had thought of writing a prgm but the abapers feel that a standard BADI for the same would lessen their efforts.
Meanwhile can you explain with a little more detail the standard approach you are referring to... probably some material relating to this would help us...
    thanx a lot..

  • Bpm send abap proxy problem

BPM send abstract interface sd025proxy (bapa proxy).
in sproxy only message interface outbound and inbound can create proxy, abstract interface can't  create proxy.
so how can I handle this in ID?

Proxy communication needs direction....abstract interface does not have any direction.
BPM send abstract interface sd025proxy (bapa proxy).
BPM will send abstract interface...fine....however when you run config wizard for BPM --> SAP communication include the inbound message interface corresponding to your proxy wherever there is a reference for target(receiver) MI....create a new MI in IR accordingly.....this is the only option available.

  • ABAP proxy in Block step in BPM

    Hi Experts,
Can ABAP server proxy be used in the block step of BPM?
Proxy cannot be generated using Abstract interfaces right?
    Thanks
    Suma S

    Hi Suma,
    Check the below links :-
As far as my knowledge, you cannot use ABAP proxies in the block step. However, you can cross check it.
Yes, you are right . You cannot create proxies from abstract interfaces.
Check the below links. These will help u in better understanding :-

  • Build delay in messages to abap proxy without BPM / mapping

    Hi everyone,
The abap proxy is receiving messages from PI, is having errors when receiving big loads of messages via PI.
The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
The interface is not using BPM or a mapping.
    My question is:
What are the possibilities to configure a delay in PI ? (not using a mapping or BPM process)
The abap proxy need some time to process a message before it receives the next one.
    Br,
    Roy

    Hi,
    >>>The proxy lock's a table causing the next message to run in error.
if you use async messages with fault messages correcty you can
restart those abap proxies just like IDOCs - and you can schedulerestarting that too
so this is nothing bad - just schedule the restarting and they will get processed

  • BPM file to ABAP proxy

    HI all
I´m developing a BPM, this has the following steps:

Reciver Step: this is to read a file , comunication channel type file.
2º transformation Step: maps the MT of the file to a new MT
3º Send step: send syncronously the result of the the map.Using an ABAP proxy. XI adapter.
4ºSwitch step: compares de the value of the result of the syncronous call, with a constant.First branch Send Step to write a file
    Second branch nothing.
My question is? Do i have to insert something before the switch. Because i cannot activate the BPM, In the SXI_CACHE i can see and error that says that the value that i´m using to compare the value it is not an object of the payload.
    Any idea?
    Many thanks
    Noelia

    Hi,
    Last try...
    salida_proxy./p1:MT_salidaproxy/row/valor = 0
    In the condition editor:
When you do a f4 for the left operanfd text box:
    The expression editor opens:
You need to click on the "Interface Variable" radio button and select your container salida_proxy and prove the correct xpath.
Make sure that the Type specified next to the xpath in the expression editor is String.
A f4 in the right operand text box opens a expression ediote, where:
You need to click on the constant radio button, and provide the constant 0.
Again make sure that the xsd trype is String.
In case all this has been done perfectly, then try deleting the switch and recreating it again. You never know, this might do the trick!

  • Is Asynchronous ABAP proxy client possible without XI ?

    Hi there,
Does anyone of you know if it is possible to create an asynchronous ABAP proxy client, without XI, thus directly in a SAP ERP 60 ABAP ?
    Karim

    Hi Anton,
thanks for your answer, it confirmed what I was thinking (asynchronous not possible in that case).
Now this leads me to a second question:
I would like to implement the scenario "acknowledge only and receive full answer later".
As you indicate: "...additionally to your webservice client you have to provide a webservice, which the receiver calls once it completes your request..."
In order to do this, I must practice as follows:
The service I call is using the WS-Addressing specifications.
Therefore, the information regarding the webservice that will be called when the request is completed should be sent as a special SOAP WS-addressing parameter, that should be indicated in the header of the SOAP Message, here is an example:
    (001) <S:Envelope xmlns:S="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"
                    xmlns:wsa="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing">
    (002)   <S:Header>
    (003)    <wsa:MessageID>
    (004)      uuid:6B29FC40-CA47-1067-B31D-00DD010662DA
    (005)    </wsa:MessageID>
    (006)    <wsa:ReplyTo>
    (007)      <wsa:Address>http://business456.example/client1</wsa:Address>
    (008)    </wsa:ReplyTo>
    (009)    <wsa:To>http://fabrikam123.example/Purchasing</wsa:To>
    (010)    <wsa:Action>http://fabrikam123.example/SubmitPO</wsa:Action>
    (011)   </S:Header>
    (012)   <S:Body>
    (013)     ...
    (014)   </S:Body>
    (015) </S:Envelope>
You can see that the WS-A specific part is in the header of the SOAP Message, not in the body, so not covered by the WSDL.
Question: Is it possible to include this in the header of the SOAP Message generated by the ABAP proxy client ???

  • How to trigger ABAP proxy

    hai all,
i am trying to do a scenario using abap proxy,
i created two proxies in the different clients of the XI box itself.
when iam giving test data iam able to check it out.
when iam trying to pass the dat from the proxy it is not hitting the XI even.
    can any one explain me
what is the procedure to send the data from that proxy.
    regards,
    madhav

    Hi Madhav,
yes u have to write a report.the report will trigger ur client proxy.in ur report u will have to call the method "execute asynchronous/execute asynchronous" of proxy.the main code will be under the method execute asynchronous/execute asynchronous(there u may call a FM to push data from proxy to XI or u can directly write code to push data).
So first write ur code inside proxy.then trigger it thro' a report.
check these blogs. There u will get sample report programs.

  • Trigger ABAP proxy

    Hello folks
Have a sender abap proxy to jdbc scenario.
Have a question: how do we trigger abap proxy from SAP ? can we do by scheduling a job or some other better ways exist ?
    Thank you.

    >
    > Ok req is : ABAP - > JDBC scenario : each xml payload is small... just 5 -6 fields coming over from SAP but it is very frequently triggered on SAP ... every 1 minute.. this will be triggeed.
    >
    > if its job / batch based: aggregate records come over for every 5 -10 minutes... which is good for PI but for SAP overhead is more since job is scheduled very frequently.
    >
    > if it is event based trigger of abap proxy from SAP then multiple small messages flood PI since data uis not aggregated.
    >
    > Dont know what is generally preferred?
    >
Completely depends on how you want and depends on requirement,if you are able to generate multiple records at a time then it it would be really good , because resource utilization in ECC and PI also will be reduced.
    else go with individual record.

  • How to trigger Outbound ABAP proxy from PI

    Hi Guru's,
We have one scenario in which we want interface to be run at 5 minute interval in PI but it has to get data from R/3 via RFC or ABAP Proxy (No file interface). Is there any way to trigger PI interface to get data from R/3 and after mapping send it via AS2.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Gyaneshwar,
What Phani said is correct. Better you go with ABAP proxy, where you can validate the data with the condition, if fails you can raise an alert mail.
    The code something looks like:
    CALL FUNCTION 'Z_UTL_SENDMAIL'
            EXPORTING
              i_email       = gv_sender
              i_toemail     = ''
              i_subject     = gv_subject
            IMPORTING
              e_return_code = gv_subrc
            TABLES
              it_text       = git_text
              it_emails     = git_emails.
        ENDIF.
      ENDIF.
There is no option to do it from PI.
    Thanks,

  • ABAP Proxy without SOAP adapter in PI7.3

    Hi All,
We have dual stack implementation of PI7.3 but we do not wish to use the SOAP adapter for configuring an ABAP proxy scenario.
Is this possible? Is the Javastack only configuration in NW Admin available for use in dual stack implementation also?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Diptee

    Hi All,
So it essetially means that only the below 2 options are available for ABAP proxy scenarios in PI7.3 for a ABAP+Javastack installation
    - use of SOAP adapter over XI protocol
    - use of conventional proxy configuration of the ABAP Integration Server
And the only Javastack config cannot be used for a dual stack implementation.
Please confirm if above is correct.

    Diptee

  • Issue in Iodc- abap proxy scenario

    Hi all
I have a idoc to abap proxy scenario. The issue is ,
when we send the idoc to client A of target system, it works ifne.
But when we send the saem mesage to Client B, we find a error message in sxmb_moni of Target system. the mesage is Application_fault.
Is it because of any error in XI configuration or somethin else.

    hi all
    thanks for all your responses.
I forgot to mention that based on a particualr field value in the idoc , it will be routed to eihter Client 100 or 200 .
I gave the conditions in Receiver Determination.
Same Server Proxy  is used in both the target business sytems.
I have done all the Configuration Steps ,( Created two separate business systems also )
Also I have checked wiht all the system settings to be made in the target system B.
When i trigger the idoc to Client 100, it goes to XI and then reaches  Client 100 of System B
without any problem. I get the desired result from proxy code.
When i send the saem idoc to Client 200, it reaches the target system and routed to client 200. But getting this error message in
the Call Inbound PRoxy step. (from sxmb_moni)
    <SAP:Category>Application</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="ABAP">APPLICATION_ERROR</SAP:Code>
Since it reaches the target system correctly, i guess there is nothing wrong in the XI configuration side.
But if its Application fault, how come the same data is processed successfully in one client whereas it thorws error in another.

  • Interface ABAP Proxy - File - Synchronous - (Is it possible???)

    Hi Experts,
I want execute ABAP Proxy which will create File in FTP. On final, i need return "OK" information to the ABAP Proxy.
Is it possible? ABAP Proxy <-> File Synchronous? Without BPM and Custom Module Adapter. Just using RequestResponseBean???

    Hi Raj,
Tks. I implemented the Acknowledgements Request and changed the ABAP Proxy to Async. But the Ack returns to the ECC with the error and is not saved in the Message. The error follows below:

  • Abap proxy to JDBC call

The scenario is Sender is ABAP proxy and receiver side is JDBC adapter.
While creating Purchase order(PO) in SAP, interface should be triggered and it should go and fetch the tax amount from a external Database(DB) and return the tax amount to SAP.
PO can have mulitple line items so for each item it should get the tax amount from DB.
I know we can change the occurence of Statement tag of JDBC structure to unbounded and accomplish multiple stored procedure calls.
But how to handle multiple response from DB for each line item and send it as a single message to SAP.
Is this possible without BPM ?

For every purchase order there are mulitple line items and for each line item we need to extract tax amount.
Question: Are these line items are in single db table or different? If it is one table, Why dont you use jdbc lookup during mapping time to fetch item amounts (Just using Select queries.. if the requirement is feasible) ?
If there are multiple tables, receiving response from many tables might not be possible. If  response fails from first table then further query to the tables will not proceed. Jdbc treats entire query as one transaction.

  • ABAP Proxy - Error situation

I am developing inbound ABAP proxy. Using fault message and raise exception, I can safely fail the ABAP proxy without blocking the queues.
If I want to configure ALERT message to be sent to a email id in  this scenario, how do I achieve this? Can this be done using Alert configuration?  or do we need to use BPM? IF BPM is the only alternative, can anybody indicate the BPM steps?

    Hi,
if you want to raise an alert from BPM
have a look at my weblog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/13/alerts-with-variables-from-the-messages-payload-xi--updated
but if you want to send a mail from BPM
use mail adapter then you'll be able to
configure it very easily (even html mails):
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/23/xi-html-e-mails-from-the-receiver-mail-adapter
    - if you want you can also send mail from SAP
    (when you catch the exception)
    - you can also catch the excetpiton and
send the error to the XI and use the mail adapter from
    there - without the BPM
    there are many possibilities:)

    michal
