TROJAN FOUND In Acrodistdll.dll (Acrobat V9.5.2)

Good day,
My Avira Antivirus found the trojan VILSEL.BELL in Acrodistdll.dll
Since this DLL has been moved to quarantine, I am now unable to generate PDFs from WORD or EXCEL!!
Please, how can I repair my Adove V9? Where can I safely download the good version of Acrodistdll.dll??!

Still, you cannot download it from Adobe any longer. And if anyone else claimed to offer it, that would surely just be more viruses.

Excel VBA add-in to create a PDF: What is acrodistdll.dll?

My Excel VBA add-in prints an Excel sheet with a list of drawing numbers, then prints all the drawings (it communicates with a CAD and a CAM application via COM). Then it repeats the cycle many times, with different list of drawings. At the end I have hundreds or thousands of paper sheets.
I want to create a PDF file instead of wasting that much paper, so I explored the Adobe objects available in my computer and I found out that adding a reference in the VBA project to Acrobat.dll and to acrodistdll.dll I could use the PdfDistiller to convert PostScript files to PDF and the Acrobat.CAcroApp, Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc and Acrobat.CAcroPDDoc objects to merge many PDF files into one large PDF file. Then I use the external tool pdftk to create the bookmarks.
Everything works well on my computer, but when I try to use the Excel add-in on another computer the references are missing.
I don't know what was installed on my computer. The IT department said that some of our computers have no Adobe products, some have only free Adobe products, and some have some products that we purchased. But they don't know what purchased or free products were installed on my computer.
So my questions are:
Are the above mentioned DLLs the correct tool to achieve my goal?
If no, what is the best way?
If yes, how do I install them on the other computers? Are they part of some free product or are they part of a product that I need to purchase?

Firefox.exe: Ordinal number 491 was not found. Urlmon.dll.

When I start Firefox I get an error message telling me that the Ordinal number 491 was not found in the DLL library. Urlmon.dll.
I can still use firefox, but it's quite annoying. I've tried reinstalling.

Does this also happen in another Windows user account?
Any luck with starting Windows in Safe mode?
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Is there a person who works for Adobe answering questions in THEIR own forum about THEIR own software? If so, why hasn't an employee of Adobe answered this question about the core dll not loading? It certainly appears there are a lot of Adobe CUSTOMERS who are experiencing this issue and is worthy of some time from an Adobe employee to get it resolved!

Here is the advice Adobe finally gave me:
Create a test PDF and attempt to reproduce the issue to verify that it
is not a file specific issue.
To create a test PDF file:
1. Open the Printers and Faxes Control Panel from the Start Menu.
2. Right-click on Adobe PDF and select Properties.
3. Select Print Test Page and save the PDF to the Desktop.
If the issue does not occur, then there is an issue with the original
file. You will either need to troubleshoot the content of the file or
try to recreate it.
If the issue persists with the test file, then it is possible that the
Acrobat preferences have become damaged. Reset the Acrobat
preferences and then attempt to reproduce the issue.
To reset the Acrobat preferences:
1. Exit all instances of Acrobat.
2. On the keyboard, hold down the Windows logo key and tap the #R#
key. This will open the Run dialog box.
3. Copy the following text into the Open field and press the OK
button:
%Appdata%\Adobe
4. Rename the #Acrobat# folder to #Acrobat old#.
5. On the keyboard, hold down the Windows logo key and tap the #R#
key.
6. Copy the following text into the Open field and press the OK
button:
regedit
7. Right-click on My Computer, select Export and then save the file
as #Registry Backup# to the Desktop. This creates a backup of the
registry.
8. Browse to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat.
9. Right-click on the 8.0 folder and select Rename.
10. Change the name from 8.0 to 8.0 old.
11. Close the Registry Editor.
12. Launch the Acrobat application and attempt to reproduce the
issue. Acrobat creates new preference directories.
I implemented their suggestions, however the registry key of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat that they gave me was incorrect as ours is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\PDFMaker\8.0
I went ahead and renamed it to 8.0.old as instructed so time will tell if the Acrobat Cannot Load It's Core Dll error message goes away.

Trojan found in Lion and on iPhone 4 backup

I recently installed MacKeeper on my Mac and Pc's
I have been having major issues with Lion - see my discussion there -
But tonight it found a Trojan in my Users/dr/App Support/MobileSync/Backup file - This was as I was restoring my iphone 4 from the back up because it was continually slowing & crashing like my Lion is. So the back up was lost. I had a backup omn iCloud but because the last vackup was to my Mac it would not restore from iCloud.
The description is TR/Spy.29184.169
Is this real? or is my MacKeeper deluded? Is it on my iPhone or in my Mac (rather was it?)

MacKeeper is itself a trojan.
MacKeeper is an exception to the rule that system modifications should be uninstalled according to the developer's instructions. Although not generally recognized as such, MacKeeper is in fact a trojan, because the developer distributes an uninstaller that purports to delete it, but leaves behind something that causes popup ads to appear in the user’s web browser. I can't personally vouch for the accuracy of those instructions, but others seem to have had success with them.

Trojan found during installation of AW7

This is the first time something like this has happened to me during
software installation.
I'm running ZoneAlarm Extreme Security, which found five trojan variants during Authorware 7 installation:
Trojan.Win32.Krament.ml, associated with Get RTF Object Text Range.exe;
Trojan.Win32.Krament.mn, associated with Insert RTF Object Hot Text interaction.exe;
Trojan.Win32.Krament.mi, associated with Save RTF Object.exe;
Trojan.Win32.Krament.mo, associated with Search RTF Object.exe;
Trojan.Win32.Krament.mh, associated with Show or Hide RTF Object.exe.
I'm sure it is semantics. Any thoughts on this problem? Cures?

I contacted ZoneAlarm as you recommended and the first thing the support guy said was that it sounded like false positives. He gave me a procedure to follow, which I am going to implement.

Berkeley DB XML crashing on Vista (entry point not found in Xqilla.dll)

I'm trying to run Berkely DB XML on Windows Vista but it countinues crashing and I cannot find the reason. I downloaded the Berkeley DB XML source project and compiled it in Visual Studio 2005, following the compiling instructions.
If I compile everything in debug mode all the sample apps and the dbxml.exe work correctly. The problem arises when I compile everything in release mode and I try to run dbxml.exe or any aother sample app.
Debugging the helloWorld application I get the following error, even before entering the main() function:
Entry Point not Found - The procedure entry point ?allocateTempVarName@XQDynamicContextImpl@@UAEPB_WXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library xqilla21.dll
Anyone ever encountered this problem ?

Two Trojans found after TimeMachine backup?

HelloSeveral weeks ago I and after a weekly manual backup I discovered that I had two Trojans and after several attempts two get rind of then they keep popping up every time I do a TM backup.When I click unlock to delete the Trojans they both disappear until next time I do a TM back.Has anyone else found these on their computers and if so how did you get them off for good?Cheers Colin Please see attached for the little nastiest.

Sorry you're having trouble with this. It sounds like the threat is probably being backed up somewhere in the time machine.
First thing to do is take a look at the path where the threats are located. You can usually find this in the quarantine manager after you authenticate as administrator. If you don't see it listed in the scan results, you can either click "reveal in finder" from the quarantine manager, or if you can't find the full path that way, pull up the scan log by clicking the small gear icon in the "scans" menu and selecting "View scan log."
Once you've found the full path to the threat, take a look at this article. I'm guessing the path will be located somewhere in /Backups.backupdb/. If that's the case, you can skip to step 18 and follow the instructions under the Time Machine Archive heading. That will walk you through removing the backedup threat and hopefully prevent it from coming back anymore.

Ordinal 943 not found in coremedia.dll in itunes installation

Just installed the latest iTunes version and like always now with iTunes there is a problem! I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and am running IE11. After installing iTunes, which seemed to go fine, running it produces the error report: The ordinal 943 could not be found in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll.
Any thoughts on how to fix please?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:

Trojan found in Adobe software?

I'm pretty sure this is a false positive, and sorry for posting about it here, I don't know where else do go. The setup of the support forums is confusing me.
Anyway, AVG Free detected a "Trojan horse Crypt.CFR" in Common Files/Adobe/Installer/and a bunch of numbers and letters/Setup.exe . From what I've read, there is no such thing as a "Trojan horse Crypt.CFR" and that this is probaby a false positive, but just to be on the safe side, I wonder if anyone else has experienced this and knows what to do.

The file that was detected and you deleted is setup.exe.
Go to your original install media or download-extract location and just copy that setup.exe to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\faf656ef605427ee2f42989c3ad31b8\setup.exe
that you deleted.
On my system, I am running the trial while waiting for the box to come, so that setup.exe is in:
C:\Users\Steve\Downloads\Adobe CS4\Photoshop\Adobe CS4
because I downloaded the .7z file containing the trial into my Downloads folder and ran its corresponding EXE from there.
These two setup.exe files are identical, at least in the trial version.
If you deleted all the files in the folder and not just the setup.exe, there are 8 DLLs and 4 folders within that same folder as contained the setup.exe, then you can probably just run the original installer, again and install over the top of what you have. If that also doesn't work, then maybe run the MSI-clean thing you already mentioned, and then re-run the original install.

Trojan found - has it been made safe?

McAfee has just 'done' its weekly full scan of my computer. The security report says it detected 1 trojan. It also says that my system is secure and no action required.
This may be an obvious question - but is there anything I should do to remove the found Trojan? If so I can't find a way to remove it. Or, which I hope is the case, has McAfee dealt with it and I have nothing further to worry about?
I always look at the security report and this is the first time it has indicated that something has been found.

Dear Friends,
I am trying to connect to a Domino server using NRPC (Native call based) connection. I have added Notes Client path in PATH variable (double checked this). My machine is W2k and Java version 1.4.2.
The following is the code which I am trying to run and getting erorr as,
"The procedure entry point JS_NewStringCopyN could not be located in dynamic link library js32.dll". I've use Dependency walker tool to ensure that js32.dll contains the specified function. May I know what's going wrong here?

Using PCI-6503 on Win NT 4.0, with NIDAQ 6.8 or 6.9, in a C++ program I found the following DLL Initialization error..

"Initialization of the DLL C:\WINNT\System32\NIPALU.dll failed. The process is terminating abnormally"
The card tests OK with MAX2.0 and if I open the test panel first and then compile the exe, it works. So what exactly is the initialization Im missing but happens in MAX ?? While using PCI-6503 with Windows NT 4.0 SP6, and NI-DAQ 6.8.1 or 6.9, is there any initialization that a C++ program needs to do before trying to write to DIO lines ? I have a program in C++ which works fine (writes and reads the DIO lines from PCI-6503) IF I run it after opening the test panel for PCI-6503 in MAX 2.0. Otherwise it gives the following error..
"DLL Initialization failed
Initialization of the dynamic link library C:\WINNT\System32\NIPALU.dll failed. The process is terminating abnormally."
The PCI-6503 tests OK using either NI-DAQ 6.8.1 or 6.9 and I can read write to the DIO lines using the MAX2.0's test panel. Also my program works fine if before compiling the code I open the test panel for PCI-6503 in MAX2.0, so I suspect there is some initialization Im missing in my program. Can someone educate me more on this. Thanks.
