Is there a doc that has the reference of all these info ?

Paste that information in a text editor and edit out some of the information that probably won't be needed for helping fix your issue. Then copy and paste the edited information into the troubleshooting information field when you create another new posting.
Depending upon how many printers you used in that Profile, start out by editing out printer preferences which won't be needed unless your problem is related to a printing problem. That's the best that I can think of for now, changing allowed character numbers ain't gonna happen with one user having a problem or overnight.

    Firefox crashes when I click help > troubleshoot information. It's also not sending crash reports. I really can't be any more specific or straightforward than I am being right now. I have reinstalled multiple times. I've tried the same thing in safe mode. Cache and history and cookies are cleared. Hardware Acceleration is disabled. All of it.

    Computer's clean, and this is my second clean uninstall and re-install of Firefox tonight.
    I'm not having this problem with Chrome.

    your information page shows a confirmation window "Reset Firefox to its default state" no such window appears when I go to the Troubleshooting information, only a long list of details.

    Firefox 10.0.2 doesn't have a Reset button on the "Help > Troubleshooting Information" page.
    Any special reason why you use such an old Firefox version?

    Yesterday I received a Firefox information pop-up of an urgent Firefox security update. I updated and now the format has changed. Previously I relied on placing my cursor on the upper left Firefox emblem to open the "information and troubleshooting" box. I'm lost without it and the capabilities it gives. Where is it or please put it back.

  • Plugins are enabled and still showing as disabled in the "troubleshooting information" page

    as explained in the question itself...all my plugins are enabled however in the "troubleshooting page" its showing as "false" under the "enabled" section of the "Extensions" topic.
    this in turn i believe is not allowing me to view any online streaming videos which require adobe flash or shockwave player.
    Also i am not able to install any of the versions of the adobe flash player.

    Your system details list shows that you have an old Shockwave Flash 10.0 r45 version that you need to remove (uninstall).

    you see, firrox makes a "profile" folder where it stores alll your stuff ,that explains the "old firefox data folder" now if you want to locate it ,i cant really explain well ****[[this is a link which wil explain|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles]] ***
    the first part should explain enough, and now that you have found it , copy the files you want, i would not really recomend it but its your wish, u can always instal the ones you want from the store.

    Yes. Sorry, I should have mentioned that there have been several reboots involved during the troubleshooting.
    I am running Firefox in an admin level account in this case - so, there shouldn't be any permission issues there.
    I have tried shutting down both the desktop firewall software, and the anti-virus, and the problem still persists exactly as described. (Obviously, I disconnected the system when I did that [smile].)
    All other software on the system that I have tried, interacts with the file dialog just fine ... so, I don't think it is anything central like some corruption associated with the file dialog itself.
    As I said, it is most perplexing.

    Please email in to our customer support with an attachment of the blue screen. Then we can analyze your blue screen and you can give us more information about your system (hardware, software, driver versions, etc.) and we can help you determine what is causing your computer to crash.

  • Continuity Troubleshooting: No Information is Available!

    I cannot find help for my access problem, and I am extremely frustrated by the intermittent nature of my access to Continuity features.
    Especially Messages. SMS worked for a while and now it doesn't.
    All the settings (that are listed!) on the Troubleshooting page are correct.
    Apple does not provide a List of Apps that Must be Turned On in its Troubleshooting and/or help materials.
    For example, I have discovered (on my own) that both Face Time and IMessage have to be activated -- on both the iPhone and Mac -- and on at all times if you want to use the SMS and phone features of the iPhone. But that is not included in the Troubleshooting info.
    What else is excluded? What am I missing?
    I get "(phone number) is not registered with iMessage."
    When SMS was working, that went away by itself, and the text boxes turned green. Now, my messages just don't send, and I get the little red "Not Sent" bubbles.
    I just discovered another one -- you have to be sitting in front of your computer after nearly running away in frustration, to get the little box asking you to authorize Text messages from your phone.
    Then the one that follows with the code that you have to put into your phone.
    Telling people all this would be helpful. Whether Apple thinks it's important or not. You need to think like a user if you want more users.
    (FWIW: For experts and long-time users, this might elicit a great, big "Duh."
    But if Apple wants to expand its market, it needs to provide BASIC troubleshooting information like this, in an orderly and useful way, especially for new users, or for people who for some reason have setup problems arise.
    The little bit of essential info above, for example, is nowhere included in the Continuity troubleshooting piece posted on the Support site.
    Apple would save a lot of time and money, and avoid alienating potential new users, if it had the forethought to think through what is necessary to operate the equipment they offer for sale. The so-called "intuitive" nature of Apple products is only such for those who have a shared (i.e., technical) mindset. Other people - including verbally and visually oriented people -- may very well need to be clued in.)

    Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

    It's very unusual to get no results for PDF in the Application preferences list. It's possible that the file which stores those preferences might have become corrupted. Perhaps it would be best to rename or delete the file and let Firefox re-create it.
    Here's how:
    Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    Switch back to Firefox and Exit
    Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
    Restart Firefox. After things setting down, check the Application preferences again to see whether PDF is listed and then set the drop-down on the right side to the desired action.

    For example, I posted an article on a news site, but found that only a small part of my article was posted.

    I'm not sure whether Firefox saved that information. There is a chance that it is in the session history file, especially if you haven't closed that tab yet. To check that:
    Open your currently active Firefox settings folder (AKA your Firefox profile folder) using
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    Find all files starting with the name sessionstore and copy them to a safe working location (e.g., your documents folder). In order to read a .js file, it is useful to rename it to a .txt file. Or you could drag it to Wordpad or your favorite word processing software.
    The script will look somewhat like gibberish, but if you search for a word in your article that doesn't normally appear in web pages, you may be able to find your data.
    Any luck?

    I downloaded some apps from speedbit.com and told FF4.0.1 to not change my homepage, and it did anyways to speedbit. It also installed itself on the "override", so everytime i reset my home page to anything, when I next open FF it bumps back to the override page instead. In troubleshooting it is a toggle i can't edit.

    Firefox '''does not''' come with a setting for a page that opens in a new Tab, the default installation always opens a blank page when you open a new Tab. Many extensions include a feature to open their choice of a webpage when you open a new tab, as does the Speed Dial extension which uses a "local page" internal to Firefox.
    You need to figure out which extension has taken over that preference that Speed Dial needs to use. You didn't bother providing a Troubleshooting Information... listing as requested when you asked this question, but I can guess your problem is related wither a Yahoo extension or a Conduit / OurToolbar extension - as there is a plugin listed = Package Installer & Install Conduit.
