Trying to deliver DDP 2.0 formatted files on disc to replicator - errors!

I am trying to deliver a DVD-R with CSS enabled to my replicator.
I am doing a format and build, selecting DDP 2.0 and saving to my hard drive.
Then I am using Toast to copy the Layer 0 folder to a data DVD-R (I have also sent DVD+Rs). I burning the disc using "Mac & PC" format.
The replicator says all six DVDs (all different brands) I sent have errors. This is what my account exec is saying: "The input was shorter than what was expected. The data steam length value for one of the files described by the MAP stream entry is less than the amount of data that is actually contained in the file."
What am I doing wrong?
Do I need to create a Video/Audio TS folders on my hard drive first? I am just selecting "Current" in the menu (Sorry, I'm not at that computer today so I don't know exactly what that setting is called). Also, when I start the build/format, sometimes I get the warning that a Video-TS folder already exists in the DVD Studio Pro workfolder (or cache? Again sorry I don't remember exactly what it was. I just hit delete, which I am assuming just makes DVD Studio Pro create a new one?)
DO I need to use the "DVD-ROM (UDF)" setting in Toast?
I also sent the Layer 0 folder that was created on an 8 GB USB drive. I don't yet know if the same problem is occurring on that.
I'd greatly appreciate any help. I am at the last step of my process and have lost 2 weeks tryng to deliver non-error DVDs to them.

The replicator has told me that in Toast I need to burn the data DVD as "DVD-ROM (UDF)" format.
They say that it should work. If it doesn't, then you're right...might as well go without copyprotection.
I know that knowledgable people will copy the DVD in 2 seconds, but for some reason it just feels better knowing that you tried to stop it!

  • Is it possible to read DDP formatted files from disc?

I need to check some layers in a master file.
I know I can read from DLT tape but can I read in a similar way from these files?

there are special programs, the name escapes me, that are used to analyze the files for replication. I've never used them. That was always left to the replicator. My guess, and it is a guess, is that if you've rendered the DDP files to your drive then you could read them the same way. DLT is just a storage/transport medium anyway.

  • HT3775 what if I am trying to open an .avi video format file and, though, I am receiving the message that "QuickTime Player can't open this file because a required codec is not available"?

  • How to burn a AVCHD format file to disc

I have been unable to burn a DVD disc with the AVCHD format using the sharing options of Premiere Elements (version 11). There is an error message of "media not present."
The program burn option only worked for a DVD format output, which yields poor relative quality. The original source file imported into elements was  an AVCHD (with a .BDM file). I have also tried various name brands of DVD-r or +r media with no resolution.
Alternatively I have tried the save to folder workaround option which generated a ".F4V" file. I have been unsuccessful to convert/burn to disk (last attempt using a 3rd party utility ended with a low quality DVD).
Does anyone have solutions or ideas on how to resolve my issue. Many thanks.

    Dan
Great news tht the AVCHD on DVD burn to folder (4.7 GB) worked.
However, here is the basic path to stay with....
Although you may see references to a CERTIFICATE FOLDER needed along with the BDMV Folder, ignore that. The AVCHD DVD burn to folder comes only with the BDMV Folder. ImgBurn should create a CERTICATE FOLDER for your AVCHD DVD when burned there.
    1. Open ImgBurn and select the category "Write files/folders to disc".
    2. In the page that opens, go to the File Menu/Browse for a Source Folder and browse to the BDMV Folder from the AVCHD DVD burn to folder. Select only the BDMV Folder, using the Select Folder option in the dialog.
    3. Click on the Build button at the bottom of the dialog to initiate the process. At the onset, you will probably we hit by program messages saying that it detects a BDMV Folder and asks if you want it to reset for Blu-ray disc. Answer No. Do not let it reset to Blu-ray disc. If it wants to do volume labels for you, it is OK to say Yes.
The final setting that worked for me for playback with my CyberLink computer player were:
    Data Type: MODE1/2048
    File System(s): ISO9660, UDF (1.02)
I think that I have covered all the dos and do not's, but, if any problems, please let me know. I have road tested this, so it should be OK.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks.

  • Loading into CSV format file

I'm trying to load data into csv format file, by adding "," at the "Text Delimiter" at the "Files" tab. However, it adds several commas as:
    ,aaaaaa , ,aaaaaaaa , ,aa,
    ,bbbbbb , ,bbbbbbbb , ,bb,
    ,cccccc , ,cccccccc , ,cc,
Can anyone confirm if it's right way to load into csv file?

    There is too many commas!
You should not use a comma in your text delimiter but a quote' or double quote"
and put a comma in the field separator to have something like
    "aaa","aaaa","aa"

or any other scenarios please let me know the possibility.

  • Format file error, can't fix it!

Hello, I need to import data from text file.I'm using BULK INSERT + format file because I need to skip some fields in my data file.
But I can't fix error appearing during query execution, I've tried to find the answer in the Internet, but didn't succeed.
This is my text datafile: (example of record: 12 fields delimited by $, row is terminated with $ too, some of them are empty as you can see from this example))
    5045669$1007449353$PS$TEAM$1$TRY$$$$UNKNOWN$$21226$
This is the format of my table in database:
[id, name, transaction_id] created with the following query:
    USE MyDB;
    GO
    CREATE TABLE dbo.table1
    id int NOT NULL,
    name varchar(50) NOT NULL,
transaction_id int PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL
    GO
    in this table:
"transaction_id" should match 1st field in datafile (5045669 in my example)
"name" = 4th field (TEAM in my example)
"id" = 2nd field in datafile (1007449353 in ex.)
all other fields must be skipped.
I use myformat.fmt file, created manually:
    9.0
    12
    2 SQLINT     0 4    "$" 1 id ""
    4 SQLCHAR 2 50  "$" 2 name SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    3 SQLCHAR 2 50  "$" 0 Extra SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    1 SQLINT 0  4       "$" 3 transaction_id ""
    5 SQLINT 0  4       "$" 0 Extra ""
    6 SQLCHAR 2 50  "$" 0 Extra SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    7 SQLCHAR 2 50  "$" 0 Extra SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    8 SQLCHAR 2 8    "$" 0 Extra SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    9 SQLCHAR 2 8    "$" 0 Extra SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
    10 SQLINT 0 4      "$" 0 Extra ""
    11 SQLINT 0 4      "$" 0 Extra ""
    12 SQLINT 0 4      "$" 0 Extra ""
I'm doing my import using this query:
    BULK INSERT MyDB.dbo.table1
    FROM 'C:\Documents and Settings\Наташа\project\data\data.TXT'
    WITH (FIELDTERMINATOR='$', ROWTERMINATOR='$',
    FORMATFILE='C:\Documents and Settings\Наташа\project\data\myformat.fmt');
    GO
but I obtain the following error:
    Msg 4823, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Cannot bulk load. Invalid column number in the format file "C:\Documents and Settings\Наташа\project\data\myformat.fmt".
I don't know how to fix it! I tried to check whether I was inprecise while creating format file, but it seems to me that everything is correct, I've put myformat.fmt into the same directory with my text datafile (it was in "C:\SQL Server Management Studio\Projects" folder initially), but I still get this error.
    Help me, please

  • Creating a format file to map Incident records being imported from another tool in Service Manager.

Hello, we are trying to import some of our Incident records from BMC Remedy into Service Manager.  Our data architect is running into some difficulty finding the necessary information to create the format file (we plan to use the CSV import process).
Is there a comprehensive document that details out all of the properties available for Incidents, affected users, relationships, etc. in order to build the XML format file?  For example, System.WorkItem.Incident is the main type for Incidents.  Under
that, there is an 'Affected User' class.
Is anyone aware of this type of documentation for Service Manager?
    Thanks in advance,
    Brett

    Hi,
Affected user' is a relationship. System.User is a class. Your data architect has to investigate SCSM management packs to get the required info. Use this PowerShell command with standard SCSM poweshell console to get all management packs in pure XML. "c:\mp"
is a path that you could change.
    Get-SCSMManagementPack | Export-SCSMManagementPack -Path c:\mp

  • Trying to change the name of 1 file

I have searched the topic and have not found a solution that works for me,
I am trying to write an AppleScript that will change the name of a single file from path:old.txt to path:new.txt
    I have tried
    tell application "Finder"
set name of file "work.txt" to PartA & PartG & ticker & ".txt"
    end tell
among others and always either receive an error message, access denied or unable to set old file name to new file name

    You're missing the point.
set name of file "work.txt" to PartA & PartG & ticker & ".txt"
When you set the name of the file, the Finder needs two things - the original file that you're trying to rename, and the new name you want it to take.
In your revised script you're specifying the existing name (not path) of the file you want to change, and specifying its path along with the new name. That's the wrong way around.
Think of this command in the following manner:
set name of (original file specification) to (new file name)
Now, in the case of the 'original file specification' you need to provide enough information for the Finder to identify the file. You're just saying 'work.txt', but that is not enough (and that's why it's complaining). There could be a hundred 'work.txt' files spread around in different directories on your disk. How is the Finder supposed to know which one you want to change?
    A better format would be:
    tell application "Finder"
set name of (file "work.txt" of path to desktop) to "ABC.txt"
    end tell
In this way the Finder can absolutely identify which file you want to change (the file 'work.txt' that's on your desktop) and the new name you want it to take.
Now, if the file is not on your desktop you can amend the script to include the relevant path, e.g.:
    tell application "Finder"
set name of (file "work.txt" of folder "blah" of disk "disk name") to "ABC.txt"
    end tell
This tells the Finder to look in the folder 'blah' on the specified disk.
You can also do this by including the path to the file in the form:
    tell application "Finder"
set name of (file "disk name:blah:work.txt) to "ABC.txt"
    end tell
where you use : to delimit each folder in the path.
    Hope that helps.

  • Strange issue creating a BCP xml format file with double dagger '‡' (alt + 0135) as column terminator with bcp.exe

    Hi,
I'm having issues generating a BCP XML format file using a fairly unusual column terminator, a double dagger symbol
    ‡ (alt + 0135) which I need to support.
    I'm experiencing this problem with bcp.exe for SQL2008 R2 and SQL2012.
If I run the following command line:
    bcp MyDB.TMP.Test_Extract format nul -c -x -f "C:\BCP\format_file_dagger_test.xml" -T -S localhost\SQL2012 -t‡
I end up with a XML format file like so:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <BCPFORMAT xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/2004/bulkload/format" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
     <RECORD>
      <FIELD ID="1" xsi:type="CharTerm" TERMINATOR="ç" MAX_LENGTH="255" COLLATION="SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS"/>
      <FIELD ID="2" xsi:type="CharTerm" TERMINATOR="ç" MAX_LENGTH="50"
    .. and so on.
You will notice that the TERMINATOR="ç" (Minuscule c-cedilla) is output instead of TERMINATOR="‡". The
ç character, is strangely enough is alt + 135 (and not alt + 0135) so this might more than a coincidence! I know you can specify the codepage but this switch applies the data being imported or extracted and not for the format file
    itself (I tried it anyway).
In order to use the XML file to bulk import I manually did a text substitution of 'ç' character for '‡' and then BCP imports '‡' data fine.
This character swap doesn't occur if I generate a non XML format file (the '‡' character is output in the format file correctly) however, this file produces other import errors, which I don't encounter if I use a standard delimiter like a comma. So I have stuck
with the working XML format file which I prefer.
Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm planning to automate the generation the of the XML format file and would like to avoid the additional step of text substitution if possible.
    Thank you.

    Hi Ham09,
According to your description , we do a test and find that the character of the terminator is changed due to the code page of Operation System. When you choose the different time zone in Data and Time bar, and do the same bcp test, you will find it will
export the different TERMINATOR in your XML format file. For example, you can import the character "ç" (alt + 135) in (UTC-12:00)International Date Line West time zone and (UTC+09:00)Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo time zone, and check if the terminators are different.
By default, the field terminator is the tab character (represented as \t). To represent a paragraph mark, use \r\n.
For more information, there is detail about code page(Windows), you can review the following article.

I am trying to save a photoshop CS6 psd file to jpg and get an option jpg, jpg2000 or jpg stereo, I choose jpg and then Mac 256 colours, normal or interlaced.  I just want regular jpg with a high resolution.  What am I doing wrong?  , never had this problem before.  Help!!!

Your description of the issue is not clear:
What format, bit depth and color was your original file "from the net"?  It sounds like it was a Color Indexed GIF, which would cause what you are describing.
In the Macintosh Finder, select said "net image" and do a Get Info on it (Command+i). When the Info box appears in the Finder, take a screen shot and upload it here by using the little camera icon in the Reply Editor in the forum's web interface.
If the image is a 256-color GIF, remember the rule:  GIGO = garbage in, garbage out.
