my daughter recieved a itunes card for her birthday she pulled off the tape and some code numbers were missing tried to guess numbers but no luck anyone had same trouble.

"Get help",just below the form space where I entered the code. Once I clicked "Get Help", it added another line to the form where I could enter THE NUMBER ON THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER on the back of the card. I entered as much of the I scratch-off code I could read, along with the serial number.

I'm a California resident, will my old (as in a few years+ old) itunes cards be redeemable? I never redeemed them or even scratched off the pin # because I had no need for the itunes store when I got them and then they got buried away in a drawer for ages and never redeemed, so I gave them away as gifts today. I mentioned this to my friend and now I am worried they won't be able to use them because she said they were "old". But since CA laws should apply and they cannot legally expire, the balances should still be able to be redeemed, right? I know the card I have in front of me now from 2004 says "expires in 2 years... expiration does not apply in CA, ME, and elsewhere it's prohibited" but I just want to be perfectly clear so I am not ripping people off or making them feel awkward like I gave them a worthless gift card ... it's really worrying me that they will not be able to redeem them!
So, am I reading the policy correctly that they can be redeemed at any time in CA whether they are brand new or several years old?

You won't lose anything from the iTunes library, but you may lose data on the iPod touch if it was connected to another iTunes library. If not, your data from the iTunes library will be transferred to your iPod

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then see if it shows under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunee. If it shows there but doesn't have the clpud symbol against it for redownloading then is that track listed in the Music part of your library i.e. where you would click on it to play it ? If it is then delete it from there and it should then get the cloud symbol against it in Purchased.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com . iTunes Support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours.
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Cannot read iTunes card trying to redeem it. The numbers on the back are scratched up

Try taking a photo and expanding it. There is also an app called Mag Light that is good at magnifying small script.
It may be scratched out because it has already been redeemed. That's what I do with mine.

I bought a $50.00 dollar Itune card and redeemed my card on Itunes and I went to the apple store to get some music and I was asked for my credit card info and was charged not only on my credit card but on the itunes card as well $ 8.65

What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a scan of the receipt

I will never never use this iTunes card. How can I find how much this card is worth without redeeming it? Can I get a refund My genius sister in law bought tjis for my 65th birthday.

Unless it has it value written on it, or your sister-in-law can remember how much it is, then you can't, you will only be able to tell it's value by redeeming it
