TS1702 Reporting a problem to cancel an app!

Hi, my iPhone 5 doesn't seem to be connecting to iTunes and I need to report a problem as my child has bought an app for free and then an add-on for the same app for £34.99 which I didn't know about!! Can anybody tell me how to do it please. I have tried clicking on the report a problem link on the receipt but its not doing anything?? I have followed the advice on google which has worked for other people but that doesn't seem to be working either?? Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for the link. I submitted my problem and they said they would call me straight away but then I receives an email from apple saying they think they have the wrong contact number for me! I have just checked and they haven't so am still no further on :-( ape normally have good/easy service as well. Thanks again

    You probably cannot get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

    It's possible they'll make an exception for you.

    Hi, I just checked in my credit card report and there are 3 values that App store charged me. Then I realized that the only reason they appeared there was through and "In app" via a free app.
    So I am desperate because the value is more than USD 130.00 and after some researches in internet I saw that is possible to go to iTunes account and report a problem and choose "I inadvertently purchased this application" and then Apple make a credit in the same value of app purchased.
    But I am doing exactly this and in the moment I click in "Report a problem", iTunes send me to a Apple webpage and nothing happen, only some options available and nothing related to this problem. But in some web pages and some other tutorial I found in internet, this should be very easy and possible to be done direclty into iTunes.
    So I please ask someone to help with this because it´s not fair to pay for an "in app" that I did not approve and neither is not being used.
    I appreciate some support on this.

    My 4 year old purchased an in-app during a game, for $99.99. I tried to contact iTunes but all I got was an email that I should report a problem with the purchase, but it will not let me. I try but when I push on it, it won't do anything. Can someone help me..... I understand that all sales are final, but I did not authorize this transaction and with times like these, I would really like a refund, because I have no need for 5200 gold pieces in Deer Hunter Reloaded, lol!

    In my experience you will not get any meaningful response (i.e. other than boilerplate) via email.  I called this number for apple last week  - 800-275-2273 - which incidentally I did NOT get from the apple website but from Slate.com - and got right through to someone who helped me with my problem.  I never make any purchases from apple that are not absoultely necessary anymore, for example music I get from amazon.com, whose downloads actually work and who has a respnove tech support dept.

    The Mac App Store is for apps/programs for your Mac i.e. they are for Mac OS X - if you've bought/downloaded any apps from within that, and they are still in that store, then they should show in the Purchases tab within it.
    The app store within iTunes is for apps for iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches i.e. they are iOS apps
    If you want iPhoto for your Mac then the version within the Mac App Store is where you need to look - but the version that is in there needs OS X 10.7.5+, so that won't work with your version. You might be able to download it via this page (whether it will then install I don't know) : http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1462

    I received an email with an invoice for a purchase of 5 apps that I DID NOT PURCHASE. IT'S ALL IN CHINESE AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO READ CHINESE. After following a tutorial on how to report a problem, i clicked on that link 'report a problem' next to the apps the thief purchased BUT IT BOUNCES ME BACK TO THE ITUNES SUPPORT PAGE. Unlike the tutorial, it did not bounce me to the 'select your problem' page. I want to report this problem so that I may get a refund on those apps i did not buy ( and do not even have on my ipod! ). Please help me.

    also I've noticed you have the option to Report a Problem.

    I'm trying to report a problem with an in-app purchase (deducted from my card, but no magazine available for download). When I click on the "Report a problem"-link in the iTunes Purchase history, it opens a Safari window with the UK iTunes suppport site? (Why the UK site and not the Norwegian?)
    This is on my Windows PC. The receipt mail also contains a "Report a problem"-link:

    This link only leads to the same support site. On the iPad, it only gives me a "cannot connect to the iTunes Store". Even with the store open and logged in.
    This isn't the end of the world, but in essence it means that the only way to report is broken!

    My problem has now been solved by the app owner, but it isn't good that there is no easy way to get Apple involved when something goes wrong.

  • TS1702 I am having a major problem with a Z2 app. I have written to the three times and received no response. Is there somewhere to report this and at least get my money back?

    When Z2 did their first 5. Update, a message popped up saying you had to do the update. After doing so, another pop-up said to remove and reload the game. In doing so, all my progress/ purchases disappeared. I only updated on my iPad, not my iPhone, so the iPhone app is till on the "you have to install the update to play" status. I've written to Z2 three times with no response. I would at least expect a refund of the $ I have spent on the game.

    You bought an app but it did not work properly on your device. You can easily report problems with your iTunes Store purchases via the iTunes Store. Here is how:
    Launch iTunes > Choose Store > Sign in.
    Store > View My Account > Purchase History then Click the Report a Problem button.
    Fill out the form explaining the problem you are having.
    Submit the problem report and wait for a response from Apple, they usually respond within 24 hours.
    Notes:
    When Apple emails your invoice, there will be a link on the invoice. You may also click the “Report Problem” link next to the app that you are having issues with to report your problems.

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
    OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
    Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
    Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
    Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
    Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
    How much free space on it now?

    I paid for in app content and it said my phone could not connect to itunes and my purchase had not been finished, i did not receive anything. I left it a day and re-tried and this time was sucessful. however I have been charged twice, once for the original purchase which gave me nothing and again for the second which did give me what I was expecting.
