TS1717 iTunes will not start on my PC, I have been through all the suggested "iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues" to no avail. Please help
I am trying to get iTunes up and running again on my PC. I have followed the "iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues" I have uninstalled, re installed, made a new user account gone through the system - wide fixes and still no joy. There are 5 Ipod devices in the house and we deperatly need to get this fixed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

HI! My itunes on windows 7 opens once. If i close it, then it will not open again. I then need to turn computer off and back on and it will open again, once. I have tried troubleshooting with the article 'unexpected quits, freezes or launch problems' but that did not help. I have also tried disabling the Bonjour Service. No change either. Please advise. I cannot sync my iPad or iPhone to iTunes on my Windows 8 PC, even though I have been doing this successfully for years. I have been through all the troubleshooting steps I can find in iTunes, to no avail. Help please?
I seem to be having the same problem on my Windows 8 laptop... I am able to update my iPod Nano through iTunes but my iPhone is not recognized as a device in iTunes. Have been able to update my iPad until recently. Is this a bug fix that Apple can help with? I'd rather not uninstall all my Apple programs if I can avoid it...

ipod with click wheel not recognized on two separate laptops. Checked the cable and newer ipod shuffle works fine. Ipod will play already loaded music and play from a dock. Have went through the 5Rs and still not working. Any help appreciated.

You're not trying to connect the iPod with click wheel using the short USB cable for the iPod shuffle, are you? If so, that won't work. The shuffle uses its headphone jack for the data connection. All other iPods use the dock connector, using a standard docking cable. -

I am pretty sure that, everyone has encounter this error? Anyone has any suggestions and or recommendations? I have ran my system in safe mode, and with a full virus scan. I have selected reload in iTunes. I am utilizing a Gateway with Windows; Java has been updated.No error message; iTune store opens only the side links. The Home page will not open; white blank page?

Pending this update, you can go back to Firefox 4.0, their add-ons work in that version. You can get Firefox 4.0 from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0/win32/ - you need to select the folder for your language, you can then download and run the Firefox 4 setup file to install it.
If you do install Firefox 4.0 temporarily turn off automatic updates until Symantec update their add-ons. To do that in the Firefox options window, go to the Advanced panel, and then the Update tab and de-select the option to automatically check for updates to Firefox. -
each time i try to log in as a member to this site i get the message that i have to have a cookie enable browser. all other sites seem to be working fine. cookies are enable, have been cleared and i have nothing blocked at all

Wondering what to do.
I'm on a first gen iPad and apart from the lack of multitasking gestures (which is only on the second gen), there is nothing that I've found that I don't like or won't be able to get used to. Apart from anything else the iCloud features will probably come in useful. You should also remember that people tend to post on support forums like these because they have problems and/or questions - those who havn't had problems don't have a reason to post.
But ultimately the choice is down to you - you don't have to update. You will find that over time apps will start to have iOS 5 as a requirement (the current versions of Pages, Numbers, Keynote already do), so at some point you will probably need to do so if one of your existing apps gets updates that you'd like to have, and/or a new app is released that you want - but you can wait until if/when that happens, the choice is yours. -
This just randomly occured when I tried to get online yesterday. I tried to go through run and pull up my profile but it does not seem to be there. I tried to create a new profile through run as well and it just pops up this error message. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox and that does not seem to wrok either.

I have tried all posted means to restore default settings to my navigation toolbar. Are there other ways?
I was a strong supporter of Firefox until this happened. None of the fixes have worked...and besides why should I have to waste my time trying to fix it in the first place. I lost a lot of time and information with this situation and Firefox provides no support for itself that I can see. No...I've switched to Google Chrome and Firefox will have a serious uphill climb getting me back or preventing me from warning others off their product. FIREFOX HAS COST ME SEVERAL HOURS...NO...DAYS REPAIRING THIS DAMAGE. I won't be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank god we still have the freedom to chose in this country...at least for now.
P.S. I hope Firefox goes the way of Netscape. I was once a supporter of their product too...but they blew it bad... -
photostram has stopped working between iphone and pc, uploading and downloading. I have gone through all the setups, made sure everthing is on but still no luck. Any ideas??

Itunes will not open even though I can see it running in the processes
I have tried every answer on every forum I have read so far and nothing has worked. From showing hidden files, to removing SSID's to uninstalling and re-installing older versions of Itunes and yet nothing will work.

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, or if this is a similar problem faced by others.
I have browsed the forums for hours trying to find a similar issue to my own, and have tried several solutions but none have worked. I have lost track of the amount of times I have re-installed iTunes.
Having recently aquired an 80Gb iPod Video, I set about re-loading all of my music as 192Kb AAC in iTunes. I have always used iTunes to download music, but this is the first time I have used it so much, having previously used WMP to listen to my music collection.
At some stage last week it stopped functioning, freezing everytime I started it up, and subsequently forcing me to use Task Manager to quit.
Sometimes it would just freeze as soon as I clicked in the window, other times it would let me input my sign-in details before freezing whilst 'Accessing iTunes Store'.
I did recently upgrade to iTunes 7.2, and decided to upgrade some of my files to non-DRM, and it had been working fine up until some point last week.
Which is what I really can't understand. I had downloaded 7.2 a week or so before this happened, so could it really be an issue with the non-DRM tracks? I noticed in a previous post this being an issue, and not to upgrade, and so I attempted to install an earlier version 7.1, but still had the same issue with it freezing.
Something I noticed today was that the Apple web page would not load, as the Quicktime plugin would not initiate. Could it be a Quicktime issue?
Someone suggested to me it could be a issue with Norton?
Another suggested it could be down to Automatic Updates.
Having checked both of these avenues, there don't appear to be any programs downloaded onto my computer that would affect iTunes.
All of my music is stored on an external USB 2.0 HDD. I can't imagine it being an issue with that, as I can access all of my files on that fine through My Computer.
Apologies for the long an convoluted issue. Any help will be much appreciated. If I have missed anything I shall post again.

You will also want to try a basic Uninstall and Install of the iTunes Software. Also ensure you have the latest version of iTunes and Quicktime. If you get the iTunes bundle it will include the update for both.
You may also wish to create a new user and see what kind of results you get. If the issue is still the same. You may want to follow the article below. It speaks about cleaning out Apple Software and hidden files and folders. Since all your music is on a backup HD you do not have to worry about deleting any of it as it is already backed up.
