Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

It does take some time for a movie to download, could it still be downloading ? Also the rental tab is only there when you have rented a movie. If all else fails talk to iTunes support, they have helped me in the past.

When i try and download some items i get the error message that that say that the download can't continue because i need a later version of Firefox I have 5.0 currently installed on my PC. one such download was the Google toolbar

I have a dell 320 optiplex 1.80 GHz. as stated above when I try and download certain items i get an error message essentially telling me that my version of Firefox is not compatible with ?(item i'm trying to download) the most recent was Google toolbar. the irony of it all is that I have version 5.0 installed so not unless I miss something when I initially installed Firefox 5.0 would be the latest version

If you don't already have the "Google Toolbar" why would you want it, it is a problematic extension as are most third party toolbars. I would expect that anything that just about anything that you would use it for can be done with a bookmarklet. As for searching, the builtin Firefox search bar is wonderful you can add or create search engines for it.

I just rented a movie today of itunes and it is in my rentals however this is my first time renting a movie and i tried to sync it onto my ipod touch version: 4.2.1, (I am going on holiday tomorrow and need it on my ipod before then). I go onto my syncing page and go to movies and my rentals are there and i can move them across to my ipod but underneath it says - 'You must be connected to the internet to transfer rented films' but the thing is i am connected and when i click apply it tries to sync it but then they go back to where they were. If you've downloaded it on the iPad then it should be in the Videos app. If it's not in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

I was on my laptop Friday evening listening to my iTunes. A window popped up saying there's an update for iTunes. I start downloading the update. After it finished downloading, I closed iTunes out then went to open it back up. That's when I got an error message saying that something wasn't installed properly and that I need to reinstall it. What would cause this and how can I fix this problem??

If this is an iCloud account the Outbox only appears when sending an email, so if it is still trying I suppose it should be showing now (not sure though, hard to replicate this)

I have rented a movie through ITUNES, but it does not show up on my ATV movies menu as they have in the past in a category called rentals. In fact that category isn't shown. My purchased movies are showing up. What's up?

A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.
