I've received a message form iTunes every time when I want to download my purchases.
States as follows:
We could not complete your iTunes store request. An
Unknown error occurred (-42408)
There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later.
When I click on iTunes store, it goes perfectly to the store online.
Could anyone help me out in this matter? I appreciate it.

What version of iTunes are you using? The error you references seems to be connected with iTunes 9.0.4. That version of iTunes is not compatible with iOS 6. You need to update to the current version of iTunes.

Restore iPhone with current iTunes on computer. See if better. If still problem, make Genius reservation or set up Service and take or send to Apple for resolution. Of if easier for you, take receipt and iPhone, box and everything and return to where you bought it.

I receive an error message saying "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-42408)". I was simply trying to sync my iPod to my iTunes when this occurred.

Errors related to third-party security software

TS3694 failure in restoring firmware of my iphone and error code is 1015

I have a failure in restoring the firmware of my iphone and it gives me an error code of 1015 even though I am connected to the internet.

Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred and you are now trying to restore to an authorized, default state.

I am getting an error message -42408 when I try to authorize my mac mini to accept my new iphone 5. It also appears every time I try make a purchase through the itunes store.Basically everytime I need to enter my apple ID using the mac mini. I have only two computers authorized at present so have not reached the limit of five. Seemingly ipads iphones etc don't count.

Tried a second time; still no luck. Tried complete download from Apple website. Same error code, plus 2 additional errors flagged (mobile device error) which I attempted to Ignore. Failed to install properly. Now I can't get into iTunes at all from my laptop. Suggestions?

How to solve an error 42408 in Itunes (i want to keep an older version 10 because better interface )

I did not like versions of ITunes after the 10.
I try to reinstall a version 10 after the 11.
ITunes 10 is now working well but i cannot anymore use Genius, and have a report of error 42408 that block the setup of Genius.
Do you have a solution for this (other than upgrading Itunes, obviously !).

OK, my starting point is that LR can happily contain 400000+ photos, and it's a mistake to create a 1 star plus catalogue as you suggest. Instead, I'd recommend you create a master catalogue of all your photos, which you can then query however you want - 2 star, or a certain keyword, or with "xyz" in the title etc.
If you are intent on going that way, you could try a slight change from what you've done so far. Instead of trying to import an entire catalogue and then delete no-star pictures, take the 2014 and 2012 catalogues and select only the 1 star photos. Then do an Export as Catalog for these items, and import the 2014-1star and 2012-1star into your new catalogue. That may get you past the problem images which I suspect are the problem.
If that doesn't work, or if you follow my initial advice, you're going to need to identify the image where the failure occurs. You may have a corrupt image file, and replacing it from your backup may be sufficient to resolve the problem. Alternatively, it may be a corrupt record in the catalogue, and in this case it may be sufficient to remove the image from the catalogue and import it again. You might try selecting everything in the 2014 catalogue and seeing if you can do an Export as Catalog, creating a clean 2014, and deleting 2014's previews folder might also get rid of a potential problem. Something else is to try the Export as Catalog for images 1-40000, then a second Export as Catalog for images 40002-50k.
So a few things you'll need to try, rather than a magic bullet, and a recommendation to change the underlying direction.

Authorization Error ( -42408 ) for iTunes / iPod

suddenly, itunes invalidated purchased tunes on ipod at the time of sync due to the use of unauthorized computer, which i've been using past years and synced the same ipod almost everyday.
then, i tried to authorize my computer by typing in UserID and password for itunes store. Then a popup displays the failure of authorization due to the unknown error (-42408).
the process below was repeated for 4 times to eliminate any possibility of human error... i repreated itunes > store > authorize computer. the password and id were confirmed to be correct by logging onto itunes store account.
the only special condition would be that the last time, i used ipod until complete exhaustion of its battery charge. nothing changed other than this. ipod was manually rebooted during the attempt to correct the above-mentioned problem. i'm completely lost about why it's happening and how to fix this...

The trick was to log out and log in from the account. (i was using the admin account whole time so it's like re-log in. )
by doing that, iTunes didn't even prompt me to authorize at all.

The other day my dad's iPhone 5s went into recovery mode for some strange reason and every time I try to take it out of recovery mode a error code pops up (error code 40) and I have no idea how to fix it. PLEASE HELP!!

chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

Just check with your LPE. Business Place on marketing is mandotary fied in your localization. Thus please follow the steps below:
1.Uncompress the BizPacakge-B12B1.zip
2.Update the transformation stye sheet for biu.Z.B1PO2B1SO.xsl: Just add Business place below into the document header. You can refer to the attached.

3.Compress it again.
4.Import the BizPackage with B1i Control Center again.

Imminent hard drive failure message

can i return my laptop to the store for a replacement.. it is less than 5 months old and i am getting an imminent hard drive failure message. totally unacceptable

HP will replace the hard drive under warranty. Not too many stores will permit a return after 5 mos. We can also assist with a hard drive replacement.
