TS3694 I have tried every suggestion regarding installing Apple Mobile Device on Windows 7. We had no problems until iTunes attempred to upgrade to the latest 10.6.3.25 version. Any new suggestions would be most welcome. Thank you.
We have tried dozens of times to uninstall and cleanout every file. Even tried opening perms on the filerepository. Tried installing with msiec and logged. iTunes will install but AMD will not so we cannot connect the phones and pods. Any new suggestions would be greatly appreciate because we are about to give up and maybe pay somebody to try to install it which is ridiculous. I can supply the install log if anyone is interested. Thank you.

Here's what I did:
First I tried the Winsock reset in the Command prompt. Nothing changed.
Next, I tried the instructions on http://http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4123. The only other program that came up on the 'Winsock Providers' tab on the program was 2 Windows Live applications, which I can do without. So I deleted all Windows Live Applications.
I did the Winsock reset in the Command Prompt again and rebooted my comp.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed. iTunes keeps freezing at various stages of the sync, then shows the candy cane-striped bar with either the words 'Finishing sync' or 'Cancelling sync', before showing the Apple logo.
Sometimes, iTunes gets to the syncing stage - "Copying # of ####" - where it will trudge through the first, second and third tracks before flashing "Copying 4 of ####" for a split second and I catch "Cancelling sync" briefly before the Apple logo appears.
Again, I've repeated the steps I mentioned in my previous post. Does ANYONE know when the new version of iTunes is set to be released?! This one is driving me INSANE, to say the least!!

They never could tell me what was wrong, but after three visits and not one dime, all lessons downloaded at the store. I was not going home until it worked.
Hint, hint, I had just upgraded OX when the problem started. So... I qualified for tech support. I forgot to get my none working since the up grade Photoshop fixed. Some Java component can't be found and just like GB, the link to Apple for support does not work. I have the good old PS disc. I'm not happy with this cloud stuff.
When you call and give the SN for your computer, they may say it will cost $29.00 dollars for one time support. Instead choose a different prompt, tell the human being what your problem is and set up a visit to the Apple store. BTW, no one at the store seemed to have heard of this issue.
The techie just started the download and ran the activity monitor. The download stopped once. Then he continued it and everything is there now.
Shame on you Apple.

I have tried EVERY suggestion Adobe has made and no matter what, I get the black "Adobe Reader Installer" screen EVERY TIME!! Any suggestions to help me overcome this problem would be appreciated. BTW: I have a Windows 7 Home OS. I prefer FireFox. I have successfully downloaded Adobe Reader using all the major browsers, however it does NOT matter, I am NOT able to actually install Adobe Reader, every time all I get is the black pop-up "Adobe Reader Installer" screen!!!
PS.... I had a previous version on my computer that needed to be updated.... so I uninstalled it because I was having trouble installing the new version.... so even that did not help!!

My Apple ID has been disabled. I have tried every suggested recovery method including the ones recommended by Apple. Nothing has worked. Can anyone offer a suggestion.

hi, firstly my ipod touch is working fine in itunes. i reformated my computer so i lost all my old drivers ect ect, so now my ipod shows up as an image device. i have reinstalled itunes several times and installed apple mobile device but still doesnt work, i have also searched for the usbappl or whatever it is and i cant find it, i have usbappl .dll but no .sys or .inf please help
All it is supposed to show up as in Windows is an image device.

I'm not able to install apple mobile device support on my PC. Each time rollback of instalation
I am having the same problem and have tried everything I can find to get the problem corrected:
Uninstall/install
delected directories manually
device manager driver update
copying working directories from another machine
cleaned and optimized registry
Tried to install older version of AMDS
Tried older version of itunes - would not install because library incompatible
Appears this is a problem that has been around for years, why is it not isolated and corrected?
Does anyone have another solution I can try?

as my C drive is full ...Move some of the "crap" off the C drive. Programs only install to the default OS drive.
Or upgrade the computer to a larger hard drive. -
