TS3992 Trying to back up my iPhone 4s

I have an iPhone 4s and trying to back it up on my computer and it ask me to "Authorize This Computer" Pops up since trying to encrypting my back up. Everytime I put my iTunes password, it rejects it. What am I doing wrong?
I know the password to my iTunes account, but it still will not let me back up and it tells me I need to Authorize the computer.

I have done that, but it won't take my iTunes user name and password even though I know that.
By the way is there any way to reset the Encrypt iPhone backup. I don't need to do a restore, but just want to make sure I know the password for this so I can back it up with encryption.

If you need to autorize a computer and you have reached the limit if 5, then deauthorize all. You can then authorize the active computers.

Hi there, I need some help to sort out my iphone. I tried to back it up a few days ago and wanted to send all my photos from my iphone to my laptop. I downloaded the latest updated version of iTunes, which took about 2 hours as my laptop kept restarting. I then connected my iphone to my laptop and it was syncing away, and I think i hit Import Photos in the iTunes toolbar, thinking that would take my photos off my iphone and save them to my laptop, well it did the exact oposite and I have been too scared to try it again. I want to back up my photos before I update to the new IOS7 software as the last time I updated, it DELETED everything off my phone. Can anyone out there help me please???

Itunes has nothing to do with importing pics taken with the iphone to your computer. You import them as you would with any digital camera:

If you never synced with iTunes since setting the passcode on it, you won't be able to back up to your computer without entering the passcode first. You can't get around this. This requirement is for your own safety, as it keeps someone who steals you phone from being able to back up your data to their computer without knowing your passcode.

I though my phone had 8 GB. If I have too much data what items should I delete in order to have my data backed up? I have deleted most of my pictures so I didn't think I had that much data to back up. If any one has experienced this please advise. I am getting an error message on my itunes when trying to back up my iphone 4s, itunes could not back up iphone because an error occurred.

Please help me!!!! I have tried all of the steps that I have found listed for this issue. I am not sure if I should try to contact my phone provider or not. I am getting an error message without an error code. That says: Itunes could not back up Iphone because an error occurred. Please if anyone one knows any steps I should take please let me know. My iphone and Mac and iTunes are all up to date.

This has been happening to me for months now and it's started to annoy me. I have Windows 7 installed and have seriously tried everything to fix this, deleting old back ups, cheacking my firewall, unintalling and reinstalling itunes, deleting pictures that may be corrupt. I just plugged my phone into a USB connected to my sisters MacBook and it backed up perfectly! Is this something wrong with my computer?

Even if deleted all the backups shown in iTunes Preferences>Devices, check the actual backup folder on your computer to be sure there isn't one still there that needs to be deleted. You will find them at one of the following locations:
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Windows Vista/7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
