I would go to Settings - General - Reset - and Reset Network Settings

It lets me play the song from the folder in my computer and then it opens with iTunes and plays the song all the way through, but then if I try to play it again, it says the file cannot be located. Not sure whether for instance you initially had a Yahoo optimised version of Firefox, and have now overwritten it with an official Mozilla version. Although the Mozilla version should NOT add unwanted features, but the Yahoo version may well do.
If you merely need to find the Yahoo emails page quickly just add it as a bookmark or as a bookmark on the Bookmarks toolbar and make sure that is visible.
Clicking the star icon on the location bar whilst looking at your emails will bookmark the page.

I've stored the library in HARD DISK which is installed inside my computer (1 TB capacity) and different from my hard disk in which I've installed all my applications (600 GB capacity).
I've installed FCP since 2001, bought FCP X in 2012: never had a problem. Yesterday I was editing my video of my last vacations (in California!) and I have updated FCP X, downloading FCP X 10.1.1: then the problem!
Strange is the fact that I've just tried to export a short project, I can see the final product quite well.
What is impossible is playing the clips within Final Cut: they are jumpimg, moving, presenting some frame in green or red ...
Everything all right in iMovie.
I've just checked the RAM: 9GB out of 12 GB is busy, could this be the problem?
Motion is very slow: for 20 sec of project, it takes minutes to play. And once again, if you finalize the projet and export it in Quicktime, you can see it correctly.
I do hope you may suggest something, I'm getting crazy!

I actually interpreted this as a carrier lock issue. If that is the case the OP needs to contact the UK carrier who owns the rights to lock the iPhone. Only that carrier can unlock it.
Was the iPhone unlocked by means of jailbreak software? If that is the case, then the reply from Phil McCafrey would apply to this as well.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iPad device settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

Just downloaded the 3 updates today... and now i can't view streaming files

updated... now anytime i want to view a video on youtube or google, or anywahere else i get the little quicktime symbol with the "?"...
i made sure quicktime was set for streaming files on the web... i made sure i had macromedia flash player... i then downloaded it and re-downloaded it AGAIN... still the little quicktime symbol with the "?"
i know the answer is sitting right in front of me, and i feel like an idiot... can someone please help me?

Adjusting my MIME settings in QuickTime did nothing to solve my problem with streaming Flash video in Safari, but here's what did...
1.) I went to Users/HomeFolder/Library and moved the Preference folder to my Desktop.
2.) Next, I launched Safari and confirmed that the problem went away in the absence of my bloated Preference folder (a new Preference folder was created on the fly).
3.) After removing the contents of the new Preference folder, I started moving my old preferences into the new Preference folder alphabetically in groups. After each new group was added, I launched Safari to see if the problem returned. As I added back prefs, I replaced any newer prefs [newly created because I tested Safari] with my older prefs. The problem returned when I got to the C's. I pulled the C's back out of the new Preferences folder. Again, the problem went away.
4.) After putting all the C's, ten at a time, back into the new Preferences folder, the problem failed to return. However, when I put the remaining old prefs in the new Prefereces folder, the problem returned. Upon taking every thing after C back out, the problem went away again.
5.) Finally, after putting all the old prefs after C into the new Preferences folder (this time in groups of ten to twenty), the problem failed to return.
I realize this is not a complete answer as it never identified the culprit or culprits specifically. Perhaps its a matter of order. All I know is my problem is solved and I did not have to trash ALL my prefereces to do it.

if you set up only iMessage account, you cannot change the status, because iMessage has no status.
You should set up another service (for example AIM) with status service. Initially I didn't understand this "issue" too, but it is correct.

Try rebooting your iPad and see if they reappear.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If they still do not show up, make sure hat you don't have content restrictions set that could prevent certain apps from showing up on your iPad. Settings>General>RestrictionsAllowed Content.
if you still don't see them, connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and you should see them in the iPad mini screens on the right side of iTunes after the iPad has been selected under "devices" and when you are in the apps pane of iTunes.

Just installed the new ITunes (running Windows 7) and now it cant see my IPhone (which it saw fine just a few minutes ago). So I can't do a backup etc. What's wrong and how do I put it right?

Well, without my doing anything, the situation has now righted itself. I came down this morning, switched on the computer and the IPhone - and now ITunes recognises the IPhone (it is listed under "Devices", which it wasn't before)
I notice however that the IPhone doesn't get listed under "Devices" until the backup process is complete. So maybe this points to what may have been going on before? Except that the reason I was worried was because the first thing I wanted to do after dowloading the new version of ITunes is make a backup - and I couldn't because ITunes didn't "see" the phone.
Anyway, not the first time I have had the eerie feeling that my relationship with IWorld is not in my control.
