TSOL 8 install custom install error

I am tring to build a custom TSOL8 0204 install cd/dvd. If I keep the size under 700mb it work however if the size is larger them it fails to find the configuration files.
With errors like this:
/sbin/startup: /sbin/sysidfind: not found
Here is how I am building the CD/DVD on a solaris 10 box
mkdir /image/s0
cd /cdrom/cdrom0/s0
find . -print | cpio -pudm /image/s0
/etc/init.d/volmgt stop
for i in 1 2 3 4 5
do
dd if=/dev/dsk/c0t6/d0s$ of=tsol8.s${i} bs=512
done
/etc/init.d/volmgt start
make my changes to /image/s0 and add new packages
build new iso with mkisofs
mkisofs -R -d -L -l -sparc-boot tsol8.s1,tsol8.s2,tsol8.s3,tsol8.s4,tsol8.s5 -o /tmp/new_image.iso ./s0
Burn CD/DVD to disk and test.
Again if the size is under 700mb it work find if however, it is over it gives errors. Is this a TSOL CD issue or am I missing somthing?

I am more confused? It only has trouble after I first put a DVD in the drive and try to boot. If I retry without taking the DVD out it works? Could this a drive or eeprom error/bug?
I have a sunblade 100 with a factory DVD drive.

I have found issues relating to this issue and voting buttons, we do not use them.
now the weird part, when logging into OWA, the message shows as corrupted and displays this error:

when the same user logs into OWA lite version the message displays fine.
I have tried removing/reinstalling outlook/office/crm/ ect
I have setup a whole new pc, still happens
I even installed outlook 2007 to see if it would happen and it did, im at wits ends, and I cannot put crm back on the users pc until I rule out it.
I have tried repairing the exchange mailbox and no corruptions were detected.
any ideas that can point we in the right direction would be appreciated.

According to your description and the error message, the issue seems more related to the Exchange user account. Because you had re-build a client environment and check the voting buttons.
I noticed that if you logged into OWA it was corrupted, and it worked well in OWA lite version. A lot of feature were available in OWA lite version. Such as, Reading Pane, Share a calendar, Public Folders, etc. I suppose that the issue also may be caused some
custom forms loading.
Following this, I recommend you create a new user account in Exchange, then try to disable and open the feature one by one to test.

Try the following Steps:
open activity monitor and close all Adobe related applications
navigate to: /Library/Application support/Adobe
In that directory you will see a folder named OOBE - Rename that folder to OOBEold
Navigate to: MAC HD /Application/Utilities directory
In there you will see a folder called "Adobe Application Manager" - delete it

Install error 1722 and Custom Install fails too

I'm installing Java 1.5 (the 16MB offline) and/or the 235K online, problem is the same either way. I am installing on NT4.0 server sp6a.
When I choose Custom install, and go to the next screen. The Change
button is disabled. So I cannot change the install directory.
It seems like an InstallShield version problem. Like there's some new
dlls or exes of InstallShield that I need.
Otherwise, it's just Error 1722 again.
Any ideas appreciated.

All,
I wrote a script to update the install base installed date using API - csi_item_instance_pub.update_item_instance.
Script updated many successfully, but, for many I am getting following error:
You have Material Transaction_id (12169418) errored Prior to the Current Transaction. You need to process that first.
You have Material Transaction_id (12020011) errored Prior to the Current Transaction. You need to process that first.
I tried to reprocess using API again, but, it does update.
Does any one encountered this before ? What's causing this issue and resolution for same ? Is there any data issue, if so where ?

I found that progam you mentioned 'Install Base Error Correction and Synchronization Program' and ran that with options Show instances - Y, Mode - C, Force all data fix - Y.
I don't see any change what so ever in the csi_txn_errors. Though, I didn't ran the update API program.
For testing purposes, I took one inventory_item_id from the csi_txn_errors table to see how many errors it got.
Inventory_item_id = 304076
Found there are 123 rows for this items. processed_flag D-20 ; E-103 ;
I am enclosing few of data from the table here.
I understand from you that we need to clean these errors by some means, so, we need to look at each one in sequential order, then, try to resolve that to get to next one and so on until all the errors cleared. Also, is that business users needs to do something over here to fix these errors ? Or each one have it's own resolution ?
Why did Install Base error correction program did not fix the issues ? Is the program expected to fix the error by correcting the issue internally ?

and installing patch 8333939, error occurs:
"the staging area needs oracle universal installer version 11.1.0.7.0 or late"

I have following questions:
1. Is this patch need to install on DB or APP?
2. Customer has two OUI home, does he need to upgrade OUI home to 11.1.0.7.0 or later? How? Is there a patch number or something?

How to deploy a custom install of Firefox 12 using SCCM or MDT for Enterprise Clients

I'm trying to perform a custom install of Firefox 12 for our enterprise desktops and laptops to be deployed from Microsoft Deployment Tools (MDT) or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
I've tried creating a custom app with the regular '''''Firefox Setup 12.0.exe" -ms''''' command, but when the users start the program it asks if they want this to be the default browser, whether they want to import favorites or shortcuts from other browsers, etc...
I followed the instructions on several websites to create a custom mozilla.cfg file, local-settings.js, override.ini, and a batch file to call everything, but all have failed.
I have a large business enterprise and would prefer to deploy the latest version of Firefox, but you guys sure don't make it easy.

I am having this problem also. The first time I start Firefox, I get the error "Failed to read the configuration file".
I created the following files:

CS3 Install Java Script Error

Hello,
For reasons of economy and if it ain't broke, don't fix it, I'm still running with a G5 Dual 2.0 PowerPC at 10.4.11 for my music and photography studio. Married, two lovely children and an adorable wife, so can't afford to upgrade, and anyway, it works. Mostly.
I have two boot disks, cloned using SuperDupa which I test regularly. I've recently been having a few minor niggles so I decided to rebuild one of the disks from scratch as this hasn't been done in a couple of years. Erase the disk using Disk Utility, clean os-x install from the original disks, patch the system using Software Update then bit by bit load all the applications and gradually rebuild the whole system.
All going well until I get to Adobe CS3. When I run setup to install CS3 I get the following error;
JavaScript Alert
Critical errors were found in the setup
- The installer database is invalid: please re-install the product from the original media. Please see Setup log file for details.
I've done some research and found that this is mostly about an unclean uninstall of CS3 when reinstalling, and is fixed by either running a CS5 cleanup program, which doesn't apply in this case as I've done a clean install (and it won't run anyway) and the boot disk is the only disk mounted. The other fix is to erase the disk and do a clean o/s install, which is I've done. That hasn't worked either.
I've tried running the setup on the other boot disk (at 10.4.11) and also on my MacBook Pro (at 10.6.8) and it works both times.
Any clues would be apprecaited.

Well, I have a fix, but not the cause.
original boot disk is already cloned using SuperDupa so I have a backup
erase second disk and run a custom install of os-x from the orginal 10.4 disks (including OS 9 Classic)
custom install - printers and language translators not included
X11 not incuded
run Software Update to patch the system
run Onyx
install CS3 from original disks - fails with JavaScript alert
copy /library/applicaiton support/adobe/installers/big_long_number/payloads +resources +setup from original boot disk to rebuild disk
install CS3 - works perfectly
I'm at a loss here. It seems that my reinstall of 10.4 is putting something into the Adobe installers area which the install of CS3 doesn't like. What that might be is beyond me. Adobe Reader might be a cuiprite but I haven't installed anything at this stage.
So, there's the work around; no idea what the cause might be. I'l try again sometime soon when I rebuild the MacBook Pro (10.6.8) but that's going to be a while yet.

I built a CUSTOM install script for Orage 10gR2 XE with a different dbname. dbblock, ...
After a lot of issues (seed db, tns errors, no autostart db, ...) and solved by posts found here,
The new database is mounted and working in console mode and Ole DB/Odbc.
In the custom script, here are the two Data Dictionnaries packages I've used :

I'm looking for the package name to install for using Apex (http://locahost:8080/apex) like initial instance XE.

I'm looking for the package name to install for using Apex (http://locahost:8080/apex) like initial instance XE.
I've tried installing package DBMSXDB.sql (connect / as SYDBA) ... but getting lot of errorsExpect errors and expect inconsistent operation after you get it installed.
But the instructions for installing Apex are in the Apex home page. Go to http://otn.oracle.com and drill to the Apex home page by going to Products:Development Tools (left edge) and finding Application Express on that resulting page.
If you are going to potentially violate your agreement or leave the system in an unreliable state, why not simply use the Enterprise Edition?

Install custom tasks

Hi All,
When Trying to install the SSIS custom install tasks for BPC 5.1, per
appendix E of the "Master & Installation Guide: SAP Business Planning
and Consolidation 5.1" guide. However, I'm unable to locate the
OSoftSetup.exe.
Managed to add the tasks into BIDS, but when I open the package and
try to edit a task I get an error.
Is that we need to register the OSoftSetup.exe
Please help.

Hi,
From my point of view, it's better if you copy them manually instead of running the OSoftsetup program.
What you have to do is:
- Copy all dlls named "OsoftTask......dll" (if you use SQL 2005) or "OsoftTask.....2008.dll" (if you use SQL 2008) from C:\BPC\Websrvr\bin on your application server.
- Copy them into C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Tasks
Then, open BIDS, and open a particular DTSX file from ApShell for example. Then, from the Toolbox on the left, right click on "Choose Item"... Then, locate the "SSIS Control Flow Item" tab and check all BPC tasks that are not checked (which are directly linked to the dll you have just copied). Then, click OK. After that, close and restart BIDS, and it should work. If not, try to restart the server.

When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.
