Hi Anand,
Try this , first generate a spool request for that sap script a unique identify number generates. Goto SE38 give the program name as RSTXPDFT4 and execute it . It will ask for the spool request number  give that and execute it will convert it into PDF.
Hope this will be helpful try once.

  • Turkish character printing

    Hello all,
We are trying to print Turkish characters on a Lexmark printer (4227P). We have copied std device type EPECSP9 to a Z version and also copied character set 1116 to 9116. It seems to work fine when device is adjusted to EPSON emulation but printing is very slow. And when we switch to IBM emulation printing is faster but we lose Turkish characters.
Has anyone encountered such a problem before?
    Thx in advance,
    Ali

  • Issue with Turkish character in PDF

    Hi all,
For a particular requirement we had to print a layout in smartform and send them as a PDf attachement. The steps are explained below.
    1) Create a layout with the Smartform(No spool generated but the OTF is being obtained for PDF)
    2) The obtained OTF is converted into PDF and sent as a mail.
While one of this above 2 process the turkish character get changed/corrupted depending upon the users default printer. Could anynone let me know how can I prevent this by manual(Through code while caling SF) providing a printer to the smartform.
    Regards
    Simin.

    Hi Gungor,
The User parameter is not empty.
    1) If I put a printer which does not support Turkish in the user parameters. The PDF created by the program has junk characters
    2) If I put a printer which supports Turkish in the user parameters. The PDF created by the program has turkish characters.
Though I forcibly pass the printer while calling smartforms in the program, Why is the program still depending on the users parameters.
My Need is to remove this dependecy of the program over the default printer in the User Master.
    Regards,
    Simin.

  • Turkish Character 'u0130' giving space during PDF conversion of the smartforms

    Hi,
I have a PO form in turkish language , which is converted into pdf file.
When we take the print of the PO form the all the turkish are displayed correctly.
But when the same form is converted into pdf , then only for the turkish character 'İ' there is a space after each time it is displayed in pdf. All other turkish caracters are being displayed correctly.
For example : for " TEDARİKÇİADRESİ"  in pdf it comes as "TEDARİ KÇİ ADRESİ ".
Note : the device driver is installed correctly as per the OSS notes and all other turkish character is coming correctly as expected.

    Hi Adrian,
Yes the basis team  did installed the window type fonts as mentioned in the OSS notes.
All the other turkish characted are being displayed correctly apart from this chracter. that too only in PDF.

  • Lightroom 4 book does not print to pdf correctly

I have one photo in a two page spread in a book in the the Book Module.  When I print to pdf the two page spread prints as two pages, not adjoining.  I have tried putting extra pages in, taking off the color coding, checking and unchecking the background.  Nothing works through eight tries.  Very frustrating, as I wanted to publish this book to pdf today.
    hbbird

I tried all of the print/press options and they all do the same thing.
I have always used the pdf maker button from the MS Word ribbon.
I just tried using the print dialog and selected Adobe PDF with the 'high quality print' option that I need to use and this time it worked! But it is not really fixed as I make a lot of PDFs every day and need the one-click functionality.
In the PDFs that work and PDFs where the character fails I tried editing the text and it says that the font is substituted. In MS Word i am using Arial, Acrobat is using some "ArialMT" font that I never heard of.
The embeded fonts are also listed as ArialMT.

  • Text getting cut off when printing to PDF from Excel

    Hello,
I've seen a lot related to this subject but nothing that shows a real solution.
Using Excel 2003-sp3 and Adobe Acrobat v.9 Standard, the right half of the last character in the string gets cut off. It prints from excel fine.
It's not always the text that is the right-most on the page either. An affected PDF file is attached - note the cut off "S" on the last line (NET ASSETS OF GOVERNMENTAL ACTIVITIES).
         Any assistance is appreciated.

  • Chinese character overlap in PDF file

    Hi guyz,
I am working on the issue on Chinese character overlap in PDF file.
There is smartform which is being used to generate ePaySlip(Comes in email) in PDF file format which contains Chinese and English both characters.
Now the issue is that at the bottom of the ePaySlip there is a Remark section which is maintained in Chinese and English both. However, the English sentences are proper withour any problem whereas the same thing in Chinese is showing as distorted/overlapped in few words.
Can anyone suggest what could be the cause and suggest some solution.
As when I checked in smartform those characters are hard coded and Chinese characters are shown as ###.
Please response, I would be really grateful.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mini

    Hi,
there a different things to know.
I produce sapscript forms with cinese and english characters for frontend / backend and archiv printing.
    Please check:
Editor displays ###: You have to install the chinese language in your e.g. windows-system to display them.
Script: You have to chose the the font family "CNSONG" (customized for chinese simplified and LATIN).
Transaction I18N: May you have to set correct subfonts for the unicode areas (Cascading fonts, Standard is Courier).
You can print in different ways:
For archiv/PDF: Install the unicode truetype font with chinese characters for the pdf-converter.
For Frontend: Use the Frontendprinter SAPWIN or SAPWIN*CF (Cascading Font) to send it to the gui (note: SAPLPD does not support it, use the newer technology.....)
Backend printing: POSTSCRIPT is not yet implemented :-((
PLease note: What you see in spool / print preview is a simulation of the possible print, but backend print is not frontend preview!!!!

  • Lay-out printing to .pdf

    Hello,
When we use the new print functionality in 2004s we have a problem with printing to pdf. The filter that we use for our report is shown in the header of the pdf. The filter contains a lot of elements and is shown on one line in a very small character. Our report is sized to this small character size and appears very small in our pdf-report.
Is there a way to fix this?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Some characters gain extra lines or are broken when printing to PDF

I am having a problem with some characters rendering oddly when I print to PDF.
Examples are an extra vertical line next to an upright character, and extra partial curve to the left of an opening parenthesis, or a slight cut-off of a curve in a character.  All of these seem to be in the vertical plane.  It is not consistently tied to particular character combinations - the same word may render correctly in one instance, but incorrectly in another.
I am using Microsoft Word 2007, and printing to PDF via Adobe PDF Converter (CS4).  The font is Gill Sans MT Light, and the document is 230 pages.
Can anyone seen anything similar before, or can someone suggest anything I can look into further?

You may have to turn on "display large images" in the preferences.

  • Firefox 4: Printing to PDF: Text in form fields can't be selected

I have a problem when printing to PDFs (using PDFCreator, but this doesn't seem to matter): while the text of a web site is printed as text, the content of form fields always gets rasterized so that it is impossible to search or select it. It happens on all sites, e.g. try printing http://www.december.com/html/demo/form.html and selecting "All is well that ends well".
    Details:
    - HW acceleration is off (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/760923).
    - Happens also in safe mode.
    - in IE9 this issue doesn't appear. In FF3.x it didn't appear as well.
    - using FF 4.0.1
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,
I would suggest you to run optical character recognition and see if that helps, please follow the steps mentioned below:-

  • Difference between PDFmaker/distiller and print-to-PDF

When I create a PDF from within MS Word either through the File > Print menu, or through the Adobe PDF > Convert to Adobe PDF menu (i.e. PDFmaker?) I end up with subtly different results, despite using exactly the same joboptions file.  Why is this?!
    Samples are attached.
In the first pair, the text glyph placement differs.
In the second pair (see following), the dotted circle outlines are different.  [Also the leftmost grey table border is claimed to be different, although I can't pick the difference by eye.]
(Adobe identifies the problems through Acrobat's Document > Compare Documents menu — set for detailed analysis of page-by-page visual differences — although for the character positioning it's a bit subjective, I think.)
Tip:  you have to zoom in a lot to see these on screen.

    p = printed to PDF
    d = "distilled" (PDFMaker)

    Hi Bill@VT,
you may well be correct in your comments, but I don't yet see the connection to my question.  This could be partly due to my loose/incorrect use of the terminology.
      To clarify:
    * The two PDF file types were both created directly from within MS Word;  one just printing, after setting Adobe PDF as the printer, and the other going through the extra Adobe menu (which would be equivalent to clicking the toolbar icon, I believe).
    * I realise there are lots of settings relating to bookmarks, metadata, etc. that only apply to the second route above.  My query is not about such differences.
    * With regard to the settings that are common to both routes, I set them to be identical (in theory) by selecting the same joboptions profile/file.
    * The differences I see and/or that Adobe Acrobat identifies are visual differences.  (At least on screen.)
In fact, from your explanation that both of the above two routes use the Adobe PDF printer (and neither use the Distiller), I am even more puzzled as to how visual differences can arise.

  • Printing a PDF created in Indesign results in blurry text.

    Hello All,
I am in need of assistance.
I have created a flyer for one of my companies products in In-design.
When I print the project directly form In-design the print looks great and the text is nice and crisp.
However, when I export the project to a "Press Quality" PDF, and print it the text comes our blurry and "dirty"
I have been trying to fix this for 2 days now with no luck.
I have tried multiple different setting during the export to PDF form In-design, all resulting in the same issue.
What is strange is when I print the PDF in black and white the text look just as good as if it were printed directly from In-design in colour.
I looked around online and found allot of posts regarding this issue but no definitive results.
I have also checked the colour of the text and it is 100%K.

    What color is the text?
Can you show some screen shots?

  • Printing Photoshop PDF

I am on a rented iBook G4, just got my iMac today but have not hooked it up yet --too busy. I'm on a deadline and am trying to print a Photoshop PDF to Adobe Acrobat PDF that I can to email to a number of people. I have been on a B & W G3 for seven years and have been using a program called "Print to PDF". Now I am hopelessly lost in OSX, which I will start learning after I get this project done this weekend. I created a Photoshop PDF in Photoshop CS2 and it's about 25 MB in size. I saved it as a Photoshop PDF and followed what I thought was the path and it seemed to print it; it opened in Acrobat reader but when I tried to attach it, it was even larger! It has a ton of layers but usually they save as 6-700 KB in my previos program in Classic.
Obviously, I have no idea what I am doing and need some simple explanation to compress this 8 X 10 page full of pictures and type into a reasonably sized PDF the way I used to!!!
Forever grateful; I did search the site but didn't find what I needed to know.

Gasketgirl, On top of flattening the layers, then saving as a Photoshop PDF, you can reopen the file in Acrobat and using the advanced menu, look for an option called 'Optimize PDF'. This option (and there are many more options once you open the dialogue) allows you to compress the file, downsample (I don't suggest you do this) and remove application specific data. Don't save the file after Optimizing as the optimizing itself is a save option. Resaving again removes much of the Optimization you just did!!!
