Hello,
It depends on the release of WebLogic and the field table definitions used by WTC (and Tuxedo).
I believe embedded/nested FML32 fields were added to XmlFmlCnv in WLS 9.0 (but the doc needs to be updated).
Have you tried this yet?

Writing XSLT to perform transformation from XML to ABAP
Hi,
I've been struggling quite a bit with XSLT. I read several old discussions regarding transformations using ST and XSLT but I haven't been able to solve my problem.
I have a requirement to build a program to convert XML to an internal table.
I've been able to do it for smaller XMLs, but whenever I try to apply the same logic to a bigger XML it simply just doesn't work. I'm almost certain it has something to do with the way I wrote the XSLT but I haven't been able to figure out what.
The XML I have to read from goes something like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="WINDOWS-1252"?>
-<AuditFile xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="urn:OECD:StandardAuditFile-Tax:PT_1.02_01">

And the XSLT I've written so far is something like this:
<xsl:transform xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
<xsl:output encoding="iso-8859-1" indent="yes" method="xml" version="1.0"/>

</COUNTRY>
<SELFBILLINGINDICATOR>
<xsl:value-of select="SelfBillingIndicator"/>
</SELFBILLINGINDICATOR>
</item>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:transform>
Like I said, I'm almost certain that the problem is with the XSLT, as it returns an empty table / ALV. I've used this method before and it worked...
Any thoughts?
Thank youHello Goncalo,
I think, there are two problems:
1) The xmlns declaration within your xml is a problem for the SAP XSLT Processor.
2) I have written a similar XSLT-report, which performs directly with your data. Perhaps this is not necessary if 1) is solved:
<xsl:transform xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
version="1.0">
<xsl:output encoding="iso-8859-1" indent="yes" method="xml" version="1.0"/>
<xsl:strip-space elements="*"/>
<xsl:template match="AuditFile">
<asx:abap xmlns:asx="http://www.sap.com/abapxml" version="1.0">

<xsl:apply-templates select="MasterFiles"/>
</asx:values>
</asx:abap>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="MasterFiles">
<ICUSTOMER>
<xsl:apply-templates select="./Customer"/>
</ICUSTOMER>
</xsl:template>
<xsl:template match="Customer">

<xsl:value-of select="CustomerID"/>
</CUSTOMER_ID>
<ACCOUNT_ID>
<xsl:value-of select="AccountID"/>
</ACCOUNT_ID>
<CUSTOMERTAX_ID>
<xsl:value-of select="CustomerTaxID"/>
</CUSTOMERTAX_ID>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:transform>

About transformation from xml to html
Hello all, I have just learnt xml for a week.
I am preparing to use servlet and Jsp to convert xml to html,
but I wonder how to make the convertion.
Since the xml source is not in well design,
I would like to ask what does the suitable way to do.
The xml source is about the typesetting in a page.
<book> element indicate a book
<page> - element indicate a page
attribute:
id - id of the page
height - height of the page
width - width of the page
<area> element indicate a area
attribute:
pos - in the form of "x1, y1, x2, y2",
(x-coordindate starting from left side of the page)
(y coordinate starting form top side oft the page)
<line> element indicate a line
attribute:
start - the x-coordinate, starting from left
width - the width of the line
<words> element indicate a word
attribute:
top - the y-coordinate, starting from top
height - the height of the words
all of them are defined as empty tag, except <book>
example:
<book>
<page id=1 height=100, width=200/>
<area pos"10,10,20,20"/>
<line start=11 width=5/>
<words top=11, height=5>
word1
<words top=16, height=2/>
word2
<page id=2 height=100, width=250/>
</book>
I would like to transfer page, area, line+words into 3 different of layer in html.
I have try to use xslt style sheet (xsl),
but I find difficulty getting information from element to form a layer and building up the template.
For example, how can I get attributes info from two elements and generate a layer(html).
Or, does it better to do the transformation in servlet and read the xml as a DOM tree?
Furthermore, I would like to ask does it need much time to convert source to html,
as there is nearly 4 thousand line in a xml file?
Thanks!!Steve tks for Your suggestions, but my problem is a little different from the one You illustrate (or I didn't understand well Yur suggestion).
1 - I don't use BC4J in this project
2 - I don't need to insert data in the DB but only receive the data from an HTML form as a XML Document.
I understand the idea You gave me would be a good basis for the solution but I don't understand how I can apply it.
TIA

Thanks Steve,
I am now doing that. How can I get rid of the top level xml tag that prints out after applying the xsl sheet. I need a simple text file with just the data.

Simple Transformation from Adobe Form XML document to Dictionary structures
I have an XML document that I am receiving via email (the XML document is generated from an Adobe Interactive form). I would like to write a simple transformation that will map that XML document to a structure and internal table in my ABAP program. I am new to Simple Transformations and I am having trouble working out how to write a simple transformation for this type of XML document. I would prefer to write a custom transformation rather than using the identity transformation (ID). I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Please refer to the below for an example of the XML file.
This maps directly to 2 dictionary structures that exist within our system containing all of the same components. PIM_REQUEST_HDR has a corresponding SAP dictionary structure Y_REQUEST_HDR and PIM_REQUEST_ITEMS has a corresponding SAP dictionary structure Y_REQUEST_ITEMS.
Can anyone help with some instructions or examples of how to create the simple transformation?
Thanks for your help! We are using ECC 6.0

This maps directly to 1 dictionary structure that exists within our system containing all of the same components. PIM_REQUEST has a corresponding SAP dictionary structure Y_REQUEST_HDR which is a deep structure and has within it a structure REQ_HDR and a table KEY_DETAILS.
The corresponding simple transformation we have then used is as follws:

after -
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

I was thinking of using XSL as a "pre-burner" step before my mapping program but need help to XSL on this.
Hope somebody can help
CheersI am sorry to be such a pain in the a..

Extra texts got spits out from XML XSL transformation?
Hi:
I was trying to output a transformed text from a XSL with XML file, It seems that it spits out all the values from xml file inbetween all the element tags. But all I really need is just a small chunk of it. Does any one know how to get rid of the extra stuff from the generated text?
ThanksIf your XSL doesn't specify what to do with a particular node, the default is to copy it to the output. That's what is happening to you. The remedy is for your XSL to specify a template for the root node ("/") that produces the output you want. Or something like that, your details are rather sketchy.

Raw XML Response Stream from WeblogicServiceProxy
How can I get the raw XML response stream from a SoapMethod invoked by the WeblogicServiceProxy?
thanks,
KarthikFrom what I know, all Java XML libraries make sure the XML is well-formed before attempting to read it. If you just get chunks of XML, a single chunk in itself will probably not be well-formed.
Can't you buffer the data (in a byte array input stream or something) until you get the entire XML, and only then attempt to load using SAX or whatever?

How to create an Excel file from XML in the Receiver File Adapter Comm Ch
How do I create an Excel file from XML in the Receiver File Adapter Communication Channel? I have my mapping done and I am outputting the file as a comma delimited csv file. However, the target can only process an Excel file (.xls). How can I generate an Excel in XI?
I saw this blog, but I don't know how to create a XSLT transformation.
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/10/xi-generating-excel-files-without-the-java-nor-the-conversion-agent-not-possible
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Here are the steps I took to create an XSLT transformation in XI 3.0:
1. I created my source and target XSDs using XMLSpy.
2. I created the XSLT mapping from source to target in XMLSpy (referencing the souce XSD schema).
3. I created another XSLT mapping to format the target into Excel XML.
4. Import the source and target XSDs in the IR's External Definitions
5. Zip each XSLT mapping (.xls) and import it into the IR's Imported Archives
6. Reference the XSL mappings in the Interface Mapping -
Data Load from XML file to Oracle Table
Hi,
I am trying to load data from XML file to Oracle table using DBMS_XMLStore utility.I have performed the prerequisites like creating the directory from APPS user, grant read/write to directory, placing the data file on folder on apps tier, created a procedure ‘insertXML’ to load the data based on metalink note (Note ID: 396573.1 How to Insert XML by passing a file Instead of using Embedded XML). I am running the procedure thru below anonymous block to insert the data in the table.
Anonymous block
declare
begin
insertXML('XMLDIR', 'results.xml', 'employee_results');
end;
I am getting below error after running the anonymous block.
Error : ORA-22288: file or LOB operation FILEOPEN failed”
Cause : The operation attempted on the file or LOB failed.
Action: See the next error message in the error stack for more detailed
information. Also, verify that the file or LOB exists and that
the necessary privileges are set for the specified operation. If
the error still persists, report the error to the DBA.
I searched this error on metalink and found DOC ID 1556652.1 . I Ran the script provided in the document. PFA the script.
Also, attaching a document that list down the steps that I have followed.
Please check and let me know if I am missing something in the process. Please help to get this resolve.

B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway
Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?
Here i am attaching the logs:

BI Admin Tool and XSLT transformation for XML data source - How it works ?
Hello,
There is a possibility to import data from XML data source using BI Admin Tool.
In the import window we can point XSLT file. What is the purpose of that XSLT field?
Why I am asking ?
I thought it is smth like XSLT processor, but simply it doesnt work.
What I did:
- I pointed XML data source file
- I pointed XSLT transformation file
- Click OK, and still get the message that the XML file structure is not supported
After that I transformed that XML file with some desktop XSLT processor using the same XSLT file, and I tried to connect that file directly using BI Admin tool.Then it works. So it means that the transformation is ok.
So basically one question comes to my mind in that situation:
What is the purpose of XSLT field in BI Admin Tool when it comes to XML data source ?
(it doesnt look like XSLT processor)
Greetings
/MichalHi Mariano
Why you need to use XSLT for transforming XML file into ABAP table
Code is a part of some ABAP report. Looks like it is reading a file from file system and updating table after transformation
If you have requirement like you need to read XML file and then insert the data into a SAP table
You can use
File to RFC
File to Proxy scenario using SAP PI.
Please provide more inputs on requirement to help
Thanks
Gaurav
