TV Out Freezes 160

I am really that I just spent another $50 to get the classic to video out and now it causes my ipod to freeze up during play. I can reset it and it starts back up but it again freezes when I try to video out. I haven't update the last two times one came out and am now leary to because of the problems that the new update is causing. Has anyone had this problem and resolved it? If so how? Will a new update take care of this problem? This there anyway for me to update 1.0.2 w/o going to the lastest update? Thanks for any help that you can provide me with.

Nokia 603 has no TV out function and I never check playback with .MKV files but you might want to try .MP4 files.

  • Infoview Reports timing out, Freezing and other performance issues

    Hi all,
New user and been tasked with a project to try and get to the bottom of a problem our users get using infoview on our network. Now i have very little experience in these kind of things and this is more of a research and learn experience at the same time. I have highlighted in bold below what one of my colleagues has sent me in order to research.
You may have noticed Reports timing out, Freezing etc.
We need recognise whatu2019s causing it and any solutions we can apply.
It maybe down to Memory issues, on local machines. Cost of Queries on the databases or even Java versions used when either editing or viewing Webi reports.
Other considerations could be Network issues u2013 Are the problems just site specific
u2022     Identify reports that are causing problems. Is it down to the Queries used and can these be optimised to run faster u2013 Our DBA can assist with this using his Query profiler (ORACLE).
Or reports that have many tabs on, appear to take longer to open/edit u2013 is this Memory or Java.
u2022     Research the web for known issues/fixes,
u2022     Raise Topics on Forums such as BOB and the SAP forum u2013 explaining the above, Can we find out what causes it, which Java versions we should be using, and recommended amount of Memory (RAM) etc.
At the moment im busy just getting a list  of reports our users are having a problem with along with any error messages etc. Now in order to get help from some gurus on here i obviously would need to supply more information on our setup so if anyone can help just tell me what information you need and i will get this for you.

    Hi,
Here's my best suggestion, use a monitoring tool like Remote Support Component: www.service.sap.com/remote-supportability
you can use this utlity to diagnose your system and all aspects of its latency

  • Connecting to audio line out freezes QuickTime!

Today for the first time I tried plugging my Apple speakers into the line out socket of my new Mac Pro instead of the headphone socket, only to discover that this prevented any QuickTime files from playing. It also caused FCPX to freeze up. Has anyone else experienced this strange phenomenon?
This was after installing the latest Yosemite update, but I cannot say whether this made any difference as I did not try this socket previously.

The Mac Pro (Late 2013) has two distinct audio ports. Audio devices you connect to the port will appear in System Preferences > Sound > Output.
Audio out: The left audio port with a speaker icon is a 1/8" stereo minijack for audio line out. It can use analog audio and digital S/PDIF fibre optic cables.  Note that this port does not support headsets or microphones.
Headphone port: The right audio port with a headset icon is a 1/8" stereo minijack for headphones. When you plug in headphones to this port, sound is redirected from the internal speakers to the headphones.  If the headset contains a microphone, it will appear in System Preferences > Sound > Input.
As with handling audio processing errors on a per-application basis, you can try toggling some audio format and input/output device settings in the Sound panel of System Preferences, or using the Audio MIDI Setup utility that is in your Applications > Utilities folder.
If this does not work, then you may need to reset the audio daemon, which can be done by rebooting your system; however, this may not be desired if you are in the middle of a workflow and would prefer to keep your system operating. In these cases, you can manually reset the audio daemon, by simply forcing it to quit. This can be done by opening the Terminal utility and running the following command: sudo killall coreaudiod

  • Check-in and out freezes Dreamweaver CS3

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on a PC with Windows Vista
Ultimate in a business environment. We have a seperate development
server (Local) and Internet server (Remote) that we use to check-in
and out and put files. This is done using our LAN. Previously we
used Dreamweaver 8 with the same setup without problem.
Initially DW CS3 worked properly with this same setup.
However, approximately 6 weeks ago the length of time to check in
and out, or put a file began to increase. Within the last several
days, it has been impossible for me to check in or out a file
without the process freezing DW. Another co-worker can still
check-in and out files from her PC using DW3, but it takes several
minutes to complete a check-in, out or put.
We know that memory is not a problem on either server and the
only thing that has changed on my PC with this setup is Adobe
Contribute being installed. I use Contribute to administer two
sub-sites for two employees who use it to update the sites.
I have uninstalled Contribute from my PC, removed my
Contribute profile from the server folders, uninstalled and
reinstalled DW3, the usual trouble-shooting things and DW3 still
freezes. BTW... I also have the same problems on another PC that
    has XP Pro and DW3.
Any insight on what I am missing on this is greatly
    appreciated.

Hi - Yes, I have an old version of Contribute on here.
    Probably part of the problem.
Anyway, after some back-and-forthing with Murray and a
conversation with an Adobe tech, I got things running again. Maybe
the same strategy will work for you.... and hopefully it's a
long-term fix for us both! See thread:

  • Log Out Freeze

I have seen this topic discussed, but no resolution.
It seems that whenever I update an app (as I did for Default Folder a few minutes ago) that requires you to logout, the logout begins but then freezes. Only way out is to reboot.
    Permissions repaired--!
    Any thoughts re: a solution.
    Thanks for your time.

This morning I tried again to log out and it did not freeze and switched to another account. I realised that the issue could had been caused by a conflict with an external Iomega USB drive, that prior to log out I had disconnected in the trash, but when logging out, it seemed that the system was looking for something that it did not find to switch to the accounts mask.
Actually, before the recent OS update I used to switch from an account to another with the hard disk connected, and I did not get any problem with that, but last night I did.
How does it sound to you?
    Thanks

  • MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 video out freezes

    Hi!
I was testing the composite video and s-video out connectors. In my properties for the GeForce card i can choose between s-video and composite video, but they aren't automatically discovered as connected when pressing that button.
However when i press apply after choosing composite video, my monitor goes black, but i get no signal to my TV. My computer totally stops responding not even ctrl+alt+del will help. I have to press the reset button.
I downloaded TV-tool which i saw someone mentioned in this forum. It works flawlessly using TV tool using composite video(it takes sometime to switch between the monitor and tv but it works).
So as i understand it MSI's drivers or tool for switching between Monitor/video is broken. I have downloaded the latest drivers and tolls with MSI Live update 3, but it still doesn't work.
I'll be damned if i have to purchase a third party product for something that should work out of the box. I mailed MSI support about this and was directed to this forum, so i wonder if anybody else has this problem and found another solution than TV-tool?
I'm running Windows XP with the latest drivers.
    Mats

Judging from the problems I and several other people on the forum have mentioned, there seems to be a problem with the nVidia 45.23 drivers and video. I get a grey screen with vids unless i turn down the hardware accel to almost nothing. Other people can get vid to show on their tv out. So if you havn't tried an older driver version yet, maybe you could use the good old xp driver rollback in the video device properties.

  • Sorting out freezes in Vista

I've been having multiple problems with Adobe Premiere Elements on Vista since i bought it about a week ago. i cannot do ANYTHING (even import video files) without the whole screen freezing and me having to restart the computer. bear in mind that I can still move the mouse, however ctrl+alt+delete fails to work and i cannot click anything.
okay guys, i am going to copy and paste the system requirements for you so that you can see if your computer actually meets them. I realised that whilst i'm having problems, I should at least attempt to help others too! to check, go onto (Vista) control panel/system and maintenance/system .

  • Nvidia tv-out freeze

    Hi,
I am running Arch with a geforce 7800 go on a laptop and the nvidia drivers work fine normally. I tried to use twinview to get the same thing on both a tv and the loptop screen using the clone orientation. On a previous install of Arch on the same computer, everything worked fine. Yet, with this version of the nvidia driver, it only put the output on the tv and not on the screen even though twinvieworientation is set to clone.
This isn't the major problem though. When I go to play some video with vlc, the whole system hangs. That means no ctrl-alt-backspace or ctrl-alt-del. If I switch back to only the screen, it can play video fine.
So, I'm just wondering if something major changed in the new nvidia driver or if I'm missing some X extension that lets me play video through tv-out.
By the way, I get the same problem in both the stock kernel and the beyond kernel, so I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the nvidia driver.
Another note is that with twinview set for the laptop screen and a crt monitor is also broken. Only the external monitor is used with clone set. However, the video playback is fine. So the video playback hang is exclusive to tv-out, but twinview seems to be a little broken all around.
    Any help would be appreciated.

What video driver are you using?  nVidia proprietary?  Nouveau?  These are the only two that support TV-out I believe, so try the other one.  And file an upstream bug report for the one you're using.
Also, to tell if you've really had a kernel panic, it might make sense to enable the magic sysrq key in /etc/sysctl.conf, and try Alt+SysRq+{R,E,I,S,U,B} to safely reboot your computer.

  • MBP freeze booting from any drive

My MBP is two years old. It has recently started freezing unpredictably. Total lock-out freeze. No movement whatsoever, mouse stops, nothing reponds. Hard reset required. Often gives the grey "you need to restart multilingual screen" on powering up after this. After a few times I can usually get it to boot up. What makes this most worrying is that the freezes happen irrespective of what system I boot up into.
I have used the main OS 10.4.11 partition, a boot camp partition running XP, an external firewire bootable copy of the system from a month or so ago, and a Tech Tools Pro 4.0 bootable CD. I can boot up into all systems, but all have given me the same kind of freeze at some point. This should help me pin down the problem...but I'm not knowledgable enough. Anyone recognize this?
    Thanks
    S

Sounds like a hardware problem but could simply be faulty RAM. Does the computer kernel panic (that restart screen) even if you boot from an OS X Installer Disc? If you have the original OS X Installer Disc that came with computer then do the hardware diagnostics:
How to run hardware diagnostics for an Intel Mac
Boot from your original OS X Installer Disc One that came with your computer. After the chime press and hold down the "D" key until the diagnostic screen appears. Run the extended tests for a minimum of two or three hours. If any error messages appear note them down as you will need to report them to the service tech when you take the computer in for repair.
    Some "common" error indicators:
    SNS - sensor error
    MEM - memory error
HDD - hard disk drive error
    MOT - fan error

  • Bootcamp overheating/freezing and quitting programs.

I'm having a constant issue with my MacBook Pro 13" intel core 2 duo processor blah blah blah.  I have partitioned the HDD to put bootcamp on it cause, let's face it, compared to the other bad excuses of computers (pc's) I have owned and played on, this computer is superior.  Well I take that back.  I seem to be having an overheating issue.  At least I think it is.  90+c.  I've read on other sites that this is normal (WHAT??? That's extremely hot so to say that's normal is a falacy) and that I should expect this (seriously?).  Anyway all complaining aside, my problem lies with the fact that apps freeze and inevitably quit in bootcamp.  I'm not sure why this is considering the ones that do it mostly are not graphic intense nor do they use much CPU.
I'm not even sure if this is hardware related or that the heat is really doing something to it (which in my case I would definitely believe the heat is affecting it a lot more than anything else but what do I know?  90c isn't hot at all for a machine /sarcasm).  I would blame the apps except its more than one which is too coincidental.  I don't even get any error reports or anything.  They just lag out, freeze and quit.  No ifs ands or buts.  The worst part is I update my drivers and my graphics driver BSOD's everytime I run a flash (YouTube vids are flash right?) vid.  I have Windows set in basic mode and very minimal things running (updater and obviously bootcamp but that's usually it) when I'm using these apps.  Games are what is doing it it seems.  I set graphics low to see if that fixes it.  Nope.
I guess what I want to know is, after all this skimming through many pages and not finding any answers, could someone please help me?  If not on the crashing then at least on the drivers and heat issue.  I really mean it when I say 90c is not a safe temp even if they say it is.  With my technical experience (I'm no pro but I know a thing or two) a normal temp when running simple apps should be around 56c max.
Thank you in advance for any helpful information you might have.  I hope to be enlightened.

  • Tricky bridge problem to studio out back in the woods.

I've tried all sorts of configurations... here is the problem: Happy in the house with my MacBook and my husband's iMac using airport to the old clam- shaped Extreme and DSL. Would like to use my old iBook for internet work out at my studio space that is out back - 160 yds into the woods. My husband's office is about half way between so I thought if I could bridge the airport stations, I might get this to work.
I purchased Airport Extreme and an Airport Express to use for the bridge. Is it too far for the signal, as all I get is the flashing amber signal? Do I need to load more software? I don't want to screw up the existing network, so I'm reluctant to try this. I'm stumped and the stuff is due back in Rochester (hour and a half away from here) in a week if it doesn't work. Any geniuses out there that could help with some advice? Thanks!

mharris56, Welcome to the discussion area!
The range of the AirPort Express (AX) is 50 yards. So it won't bridge the link from your house to your husband's office nor the link from your husband's office to your studio.

  • Running out of disc space on my 160GB drive!

Yesterday I got a prompt telling me that I was running out of drive space. I checked, and yes, I was running out. I then tried to find out what was using my hard drive space. My Documents used about 20GB, Windows about 20GB and Program files about 20GB. Properties on the 160GB drive says I am using 132GB, but I can account for about 60GB, no more. What is using the remaining hard drive space, and how do I get it back?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I'm having the same exact problem with my T61p. It says I have 72.8 gb free of 142. I've loaded no more than 5 programs onto the computer, and my iTunes are kept on an external drive.
Where has all my space gone? Does it have something to do with system restore or backups? I didn't set up any such thing, does the laptop do it on its own?
I don't understand why this is happening to my laptop considering my 6-year-old desktop STILL has about 140 gb free out of 160...

  • SplWOW64.exe is freezing up 32bit programs and halting printing on 64bit Windows 7

I work IT for a bank with 600+ PC's (and just as many impatient users) and this issue is driving us up a wall. Here's the low down:
SplWOW64.exe as we know it is supposed to end itself 2 minutes after the last print job is finished. However, it does not. After some time of it not being terminated, it will completely block 32bit applications (like Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office, and a few
internal programs) from printing, and can even cause these applications to FREEZE until this process is manually ended in task manager.
These problems are appearing on any Windows 7 64bit machines we have on our network (not all of them that we are aware of, but A LOT of them). All of our printers are also network printers using mostly universal drivers from the manufacturers, but we do
have some printers we use specific drivers for.
We have tried the 2 fixes out in the KB article (KB2815716), and neither have been working across the board for us. I believe the hotfix has worked on SOME of our PC's, but the majority of them are still experiencing this issue.
I can provide screenshots of how some programs are reacting to this process not responding (print button grayed out, freezing the app when attempting to print, freezing apps even when not trying to print) if it will help our cause.
Thanks everyone for any help we can get.

    Hello Dandalfini,
Please correct me if I have misunderstanding:
    1. The SplWOW64.exe doesn’t end itself and it will block the 32bit applications like Adobe Reader, office in the 64bit Windows7.
    2. The issue only occurs in some of the Windows 7 computers.
Are they are domain-joined Windows 7?
Are there any differences between the normal and abnormal Windows 7 computer?
What specific drivers do you mean in the sentence ‘we do have some printers we use specific drivers for’?
Please take the following steps for troubleshooting:
    1. Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories
    and run the printer troubleshooter.
    2. Update the printer drivers

  • I open FF and it logs into xmarks. The log in process freezes the browser and I must shut it via task mgr...reinstalled FF several times, haven't added new bookmarks in years so don't think it's overloaded w syncing that needs to happen

latest version of FF, fiddled with xmark controls, doesn't help. Not crashing out--freeze up, go into task mgr and close through end now msg that comes up. Sometimes I catch the "cancel" button (split second window of opportunity on that one) on xmarks and that'll let me in.

I had disabled ssh, thinking that maybe the high proc usage was making the system unstable. I successfully changed the password via AFP twice for one user on my machine. I had someone else do it and it immediately brought down the server. Same thing... I'm really at a loss as to what to do, can someone provide some insight? What logs can I look at for more information? Is there anyway to tell what's happening on the machine during these 10 minutes? The logs I've looked at show nothing.
