I'm only guessing here, but i'll bet there is a limit to markers of all sorts. For example you cannot place more that 99 chapter markers on a video clip for DVDSP.
(Seems like an overly convoluted workflow to me.)

You can't merge accounts or transfer iTunes purchases from one Apple ID to another: but there is no problem about using two IDs.
Use your iCloud ID for iCloud for syncing email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and PhotoStream.
Use your other Apple ID as before for iTunes, iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match.
There's no conflict about doing this, and you won't even notice as Keychain will log you in with the correct ID in each case. It's also better security not to have your iTunes login also your email address, given the number of complaints about hacked iTunes accounts.

Most of us have the experience of computer run into error,such as bootmgr is missing. The most common reasons for BOOTMGR errors include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors, an outdated BIOS, and damaged or loose hard drive interface cables. Hard drive failure is another frequent error,it is arouse by physical damage or logical error. Once this problem occurs to you, any data stores in it would be in danger. If you want to Fix Bootmgr Error by yourself. These following steps may be available for you to deal with the problem. Step one. Burn a rescue boot disc or USB drive. You need to download Fix Genius and install it into a computer ,then insert the CD/USB and run the program to burn it . Step two. boot your computer from CD/USB Enter into the BIOS and change the Boot Device Priority ,then save the changes and exit. Step three.Fix "Bootmgr is missing" or "Hard Drive Failure" Insert the CD/USB then you will enter into the WinPE system, and click the Fix Genius icon there on the desktop. After run up the program, config the parameter according to your problem. This rescuing process would last within minutes. It is the best one I can find among the solutions. As the time past, it is a time information refresh very quickly, Maybe there is a better one for you to fix bootmgr is corrupted and Hard drive failure if you have time to search online. please let me know if you find it, I will be glad with you.

There are some caveats to be aware of when replacing the hard drive! While in theory any SATA drive is compatible, I have experienced problems with a Seagate Momentus 5400.6 500GB and a Western Digital Scorpio Blue 640GB recently.
With my WD drive I have had to adjust the power management settings (using a command line tool called "hdapm") to prevent it from spinning up and down every 20 to 30 seconds, and which was also leading to momentary freeze ups. While this may kill my battery a bit quicker, I'm hoping the drive will at least live an average lifetime. (Batteries may be more expensive, but they're a lot quicker to replace than a hard drive).
My Seagate drive has exhibited far less frequent problems but the occasional noises it made have never sounded healthy and after 6 months is now being replaced under warranty. There were also a number of days where I would get excessive beachballing for no reason I could identify, and that I concluded must be hard disk related. I couldn't find anything here or elsewhere on the internet to indicate what the cause of that might be.
So my limited experience of hard disk replacement hasn't been a great success and I'm beginning to wonder if getting an official replacement from Apple might be a safer option in the long run, despite it being more expensive. I read somewhere that the hard disks supplied by Apple have custom firmware that works better with Apple's own power management strategies.

How to make two mono audio tracks into a stereo pair?

My video clip, brought over into Premiere CS6 from Final Cut Pro 5, has the usual left and right audio tracks, but in Premiere they are not linked into a stereo pair. Thus the volume level has to be adjusted separately in each track.
In Final Cut, I can quickly convert two independent audio tracks into a stero pair by selecting the tracks and then going to the menu Modify > Stereo Pair. I can't figure out how to do this in Premiere.
When two audio tracks are not linked, the volume level has to be adjusted separately in each track, which wastes time. But after two tracks are linked into a Stereo Pair in Final Cut, adjusting either track adjusts them both, together. That's what I want to do now in Premiere.
So, how do I make two separate audio tracks into a linked Stereo Pair in Premiere?

I used to think like you do. These aren't workarounds, per se. The issue is that Premiere Pro is a different program, so you have to approach some things slightly differently.
Actually, Premiere Pro's audio capability is more like a DAW than Final Cut was, and more powerful too, so if you know that workflow it makes more sense. A lot of FCP people don't have training in programs like ProTools or Audition, so it's more difficult for folks like yourself (and me, too) to catch on. Once you learn it, though, you begin to see its power.

In Premiere Pro CC, you can link and unlink audio and video tracks with a keyboard shortcut for "Linked Selection." You have to create it in your Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box, but it works just like the one in FCP. Make it Shift + L if you like.

Again, you can achieve what you want (copying and using items from other projects), you just have to go about it differently. All you do is navigate to the other project files in the Media Browser and import items that you need in this fashion. So, no, you don't have more than one project open at a time, but you got what you wanted, stuff from another projects in your current project. That works for me, anyway.
Again, Premiere Pro is a different program. You can achieve the same goals, but sometimes have to go about it differently. Some things are faster, some slower. Some are easier to learn, some harder. Hopefully, you see my point.
I need video generators to make arrows, circles, squares, etc. and transitions such as edge wipes and clock wipes to animate them, all to point out and emphasize things that I'm demonstrating and explaining in my videos. Premiere has no such generators, nor are there any third-party plug-ins available to add them, that I've been able to find.
Do you know about the Titler? It has a lot of useful shapes. You can also create shapes in After Effects and Photoshop and import them. The shapes you make in those programs can look a lot better than the stock FCP effects.
There are lots of third party effects, some that have generators. Check out Boris Continuum, FX Factory, CoreMelt, Film Impact, and more.
There are pitifully few transitions in Premiere at all (the Mac version) compared to Final Cut.
I'm really not a transitions person, and I find the FCP transitions looking tired anyway. The only one I really need is a white flash and I can either create it, or use a third party flash effect. If you need cool, modern transitions, check out Film Impact or the other third party plug in foundries I mentioned. There is an Edge Wipe transition, called "Wipe." If you need feathering, check out the Wipe Effect, which you can keyframe to look like a transition.
More and more I would like to be moving completely into Premiere, but I keep running into these inadequacies in the program, these roadblocks, for my purposes at least.
The more you work with it, the less you'll be working with FCP. That's what most people are saying anyway. Sure, there are minor annoyances associated with learning a new app, but you also take the good along with it. I suggest you just dive right in. It may take longer at first, but you can get your speed up in time.
I have no doubt that sometime in the future Premiere will become everything that I want it to be, and at that time I can finally abandon Final Cut for good, as I wish I could do right now.
I also came from FCP, taught FCP for nearly a decade, wrote a book about FCP, help start the first FCPUG, worked at Apple on two versions of FC Studio, so I do know what you are going through. Just keep at it and keep posting here. I'll be glad to help you with any workarounds or confusion related to moving over from FCP.

Office 365 Error: We're sorry, but (program name) has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. (Program name) will need to be closed as a result.

Today we had this error code on starting Office programs out of the blue. We've had this error in the past and we know what caused it, but that action wasn't taken. I've already read other posts, but no "Answer" provides a real solution to a clear
problem with Office 365.
The error: "We're sorry, but (program name) has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. (Program name) will need to be closed as a result."
It offers "Repair Now", then the two following options: "Online" or "Offline". Neither are effective.
In the past we used the Office 365 Fix It tool, but uninstalling and reinstalling Office on a regular basis is unacceptable. Resorting to web apps is also not going to happen.
Running Win 7 Pro 64 bit, fully updated.
We're starting to get fed up with this broken software. Paying monthly for programs that don't work is ridiculous. Any real answers would be greatly appreciated!

Locate your Office application and check the setting of Compatibility.
For example,
Right click on Excel (.exe) > Properties > Compatibility > uncheck all the boxes, click Ok and check if it helps.

Hi. I have the same problem using an HTC Incredible Android smartphone. The video/audio not in sync. Slight advance or delay. Not matching. I have the phone set to record as mp4, but when I use the file it says 3gp, so I transcode it to mp4. I have filmed a lot with my smartphone and now I have all this footage for over 6 months that may have this problem so I seriously need to know how to fix this or I have a ton of bad footage showing me in frame talking and it's not going to be right for YouTube videos of selfie-vlogging. So, I need to know the best, most fool-proof, most efficient, time-saving way to process and make it workable without taking too much time. Microsoft Office Home Premium: Office has run into an error....

I recently upgraded from Office 2007 to Office 365 Home Premium which includes Outlook 2013.
When I click on Open iCloud Control Panel I first get the iCloud Control Panel.
Then I get a window from Outlook: We're sorry, but Mirocsoft Office has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly.
Microsoft Office will need to be closed as a result.
Would you like us to repair now?
Any ideas?

No problem.
I uninstalled Office 365 and installed Office 2010.
Then uninstalled iCloud, downloaded it fresh and reinstalled.
All working fine now.
Might be nice to put a little stronger message in the Control Center.
When I installed Office 365 I believe I saw a message in iCC that said something like
'there are two Outlooks on the system. iCloud will only work with one'.
Then it wanted me to do the setup for iCloud. iCloud didn't seem to balk at setting up into 2013.
But I'm guessing it really didn't install properly.
I appreciate that quick post about Outlook 2013 and iCloud support.
That saved me a lot of time.
Office 365 loses the Windows Search facility. That comes back by regressing
to 2010. I use that a lot. I missed it the short time I was on 2013.
Off topic, but can Yahoo mail go through iCloud? That might be something
I could use.

Connecting two TVs to run off of one Apple TV?

Hi All, my first post.
I read the post about connecting 3 tvs but to an Apple TV unit but I didn't understand whether the person was running the feeds from one Apple TV unit or not.
Nor did I understand the exact steps that need to happen to make this occur? Can someone please explain if, one, its possible to run the content of one Apple TV to two tvs in a house and if so, how do you do it? I also have a new Airport Extreme WIFI Router. (I wondering if I could beam the Apple TV through the router to the two TVs?) Thanks a lot! John

Since your TV's don't use WiFi, you can't transmit over WiFi to multiple TV's from one AppleTV. Any TV's that you connect must be connected directly to the Apple TV. In practice, this means that you'll have to invest in a splitter of some kind to split the signal from the AppleTV into two, and then run a cable from the AppleTV to the TV's that you want to use with it. You will, of course, be constrained to watching the same content on both TV's.
If I were you, I'd forget the idea and save my pennies for a second AppleTV. Who knows, maybe they'll update it soon and then you'll be able to pick up the current one cheaply.

Two RF networks running simultaneously

I'm being tasked with upgrading one of our warehouses from autonomous to LWAPP AP's. (both Cisco). The challenge is that I'm being asked to install new equipment and keep both environments active during a two week UAT period.
I'll be using unique SSID's but I'm concerned about RF contention.
Should I be concerned? Has anyone else ever run into this?

The amount of traffic will impact how much interference there is. If an AP is on channel one, it sends out a regular beacon on that channel. If no clients are on, that is basically the only traffic that is on that frequency, so there is not a lot of interference. The AP sitting next to it on channel 1 will barely be impacted. If a user is transferring a 100MB file on AP1, then that client is sending out a LOT of traffic on that frequency, and there will be many more corrupted packets for clients of AP2.
As for auto-channel selection and interference avoidance on the controller, here is how that would work. If you have 2 autonomous APs on channel 1 and 6, and one LWAPP AP, the controller would pick 11 for it. If you have 3 autonomous APs on 1, 6, and 11, the one LWAPP ap would get whichever channel it hears least. In a complex environment with intermingled LWAPP and autonomous APs, the controller will do what it can. However, if you have full coverage with overlap currently, it is very likely that the LWAPP APs won't be able to avoid the interference entirely.
That is when the amount of traffic on each will play into how badly they interfere with each other. If both are in use, they will each be sending traffic out on all 3 frequencys, and all 3 will have significant interference from the other network. If one is only sending out the beacons occasionally, you should only have minimal interference.

I am trying to use a Futek load sensor example and am running into all sorts of weird issues with the coding.

Eons ago, when I took the Labview I & II courses, I remember the instructor stating that correct VI's had to have error line. I downloaded this VI example from Futek's website and the code doesn't use it. I am trying to utilize it for some data collection rather than have to pay for their software that goes with the sensor. When I first try to run the VI I get an error, and if I replace the formula they use, then undo the replacement it appears to work. The engineer that I am trying to help out is basically wanting to be able to read and also write a file during test, and I am running into all sorts of problems.
If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

The first error when I start to run the VI, is states that I need to insert disc 1 of Labview.
I can usually hit stop and run, stop and run, and then it will start "working".
Then I get the Formula: Library version is incompatible with XNode version.
If I replace the fomula, and then undo replace it will correct the broken start arrow.....
I took the labview 1 and 2 courses 5 years ago, and haven't been a regular user so I am what you would call extremely rusty.
I have an engineer here that is wanting to use the sensor for some testing and can't really understand why I am having so many issues.
Do you know if NI has someone that might be able to work through this with me, or even if there is some Labview consultant that can be paid to help out?

Admin server running into issues in SOA.

Can anyone help me.
I have recently installed Oracle SOA suite on Linux box. While I was running the Admin Server I am running into Some issues. Though Admin Server is running fine but all that I am running out of memory because of the Logs. Can anyone help me find the issue and solve. I can do some other arrangements to save memory. IF you could help me for any issue I would be so happy. One more thing SOA suite installed on Admin server instead soa_server1 or soa_server2. I still need to SOA-infra setup onto soa_server1 or soa_server2(on different remote machines) [if this info could help also.]
This issue is repeating every 5 secs.

You are much appreciated for your valuable time and knowledge..
Then delete old domain. Its corrupted. You can clean it by manually updating jdbc datasource files under config/jdbc folder. But I will NOT recommend this. Just delete this domain folder and from user_projects/appliations also delete the folder with same domain name.
Create a brand new domain using config wizard. Select SOA or BPM whichever you want, and also Enterprise Manager. Then at database, carefully select 11.7 Schemas that you created earlier.
Though I have not created a new domain. (still Ravi is correct)
Issues were resolved by updating the new RCU schema with latest version of RCU 11.1.1.7.
Here What I did is ran the rcu.bat on my local and connected to remote DB.created new schema for each components namely soa-infra,orabam,owsm,MDS. with a new prefix.
I did not drop the previous schema for SOA.
went to *Domain-home*/config/jdbc/
took the back up for all the *.xml files excluding read.xml(anyway its just an info file).
Now edited the schema component. Someone might change their schema component password. but my suggestion is not to give any new passwords to the schema components while creating new RCU schema for SOA.
What I did is changed the component passwords (I know how to mess up and also know how to fix if it's messed up) and ended up with errors.
So I have now started the server with the command
./startWebLogic.sh -Dweblogic.configuration.schemaValidationEnabled=false
Still I had errors coming up. But I least bothered about the errors because these errors can be solved once get to know what you are doing.
My server started. Happy then
Went to admin-url:port/console
then Home>Summary of JDBC Data Sources
next lock & edit
select each jdbc component and changed the password and confirm password for each
then save each time for each next activate the changes.
(as I changed all components passwords like <password-encrypted>asdl;lasdfadf=<password-encrypted/>   to <password>welcome1=<password/> in each *.xml file at *domain-home/config/jdbc*)
I have restarted the Admin server from Command prompt. Expecting that I was doing correct.
Succeeded. I did not believe that I have seen not even a single error.
My sincere request that don't mess up with any *.xml file if you are not sure and make sure to take a back up

My Ical is all screwed up now that I've upgraded my Mac Desktop. There are no borders with the days of the week and it's all running into each other. Help Pleeease!! I have a busy schedule and this is so confusing. How do I get my old Ical back?

I'm trying to figure out how to change my ICal back to the way it was before I upgrated my Desktop Mac computer. I used to have a perfect calendar and since I upgraded, there are no side borders to the days when I'm on the "month" view. It all looks like it is one big day running into eachother. I hope it's an easy fix. If anyone knows what I'm trying to explain, please help me!!

Configure the Extreme connected to the Hughes Net modem as your router. In other words in AirPort Utility, Network tab > Router Mode should be set to "DHCP and NAT". It will provide IP addresses to all the devices on your network.
All other AirPort devices on your network should be configured as bridges: Router Mode "Off".
You may want to configure static IP addresses for any equipment that is likely to be permanently installed. For them, there is no reason to have the Extreme issue an IP address, and they can keep the same one forever.
The Microcell may be able to connect to the Express's LAN port such devices that have to handle voice or other real time audio or video streaming are generally best installed using a strictly wired connection. The same applies to the Sony TV and AppleTV. Keep them on a wired LAN served by the Extreme, avoiding any reliance on a wireless link if at all possible.
The way to implement a complex network like yours is to add one device at a time. Ensure it connects reliably, then add another. You have a lot of work to do.
WDS can be implemented even with new Extremes but its performance is likely to be so unacceptable that it would be nothing more than an exercise in frustration for you.

A simple app to secure coldfusion pages - Running into an issue with Session

Hello, I am testing out how to protect pages in coldfusion and have run into an issue when attempting to create a process by which users can log out.
Essentially, I have three pages:
Page A - The form that submits to Page B
Page B - That checks the form.username and form.password against a database (works fine)
Page C - Logout page (Which is where I am having an issue).
Page C throws a "variable Session is undefined" error

What do I need to do for Page C (my logout page to be able to access the session variable).

“Variable Session is undefined” error comes up when you try to manipulate a session variable which does not exist, as at that point in time. To take care of possible empty session structures, it is good practice to check first if your session is defined.
