TWO NUMERIC VALUES TO ONE PARAMETER

If i have a field that 2 numeric values that make up 1 parameter string selection as follows
CASE WHEN ORPRTY IN (1,2) then 'MISSY'
WHEN ORPRTY IN (6,7) THEN 'PETITE'
WHEN ORPRTY IN (3,4) THEN 'WOMENS'
how do i get the parameters to use 1 or 2 = petite?
in other words
if field in 1 or 2 then retreive petite but only display the value 1x in the drop down in the viewer?

this has been resolved by creating a formula in the selection criteria by creating a formula to capture the multiple values

Got maybe a solution for you, I have just tested it.
So, the idea is to use intermediate variables. Imagine Var1 and Var2 variables that you refresh with your more or less complicated queries. Then what you can do is to refresh your final variable Var3 with a query using your intermediate variables. Here is an example for Oracle:
    select #Var1+#Var2 from dual
This way you can make a chain of dependent variables: Var3 is using Var2 and Var2 is using Var1.
    Hope it helps.

  • Create URL with multiple values for one parameter

While I have no problems to create the URL to open a report with a single value for a parameter from my Java application, I don't know how to format multiple values for a parameter when I want to pass the "&prompt0=" value. The values I want to pass are numbers, not strings.

  • Max two same value in one field

    Hi,
I have a project in hand. I can't figure out how to deal with
    it. I am not
very good at manual script. I can handle on my own, though.
My problem is I need check in the insert page if a certain
    value is in that
field two time. If so, I do not want the visitor to insert,
    and system to
warn the visitor to insert another value for the selected
    field.
For example, below, for the file code, if the
    visitor/operator inserts 314,
it should give error because there are two records whose
    file_code field
    containing 314.
    file_id filename file_code
    1 dummyname 225
    2 dummyname 314
    3 dummyname 225
    4 dummyname 314
    5 dummyname 532
    6 dummyname 756
    7 dummyname 225
    8 dummyname 987
    Thank you indeed
    Hakan

OK, just noticed that you want to allow two of the same
value, but no more than two.
In that case, before inserting , just perform a select count
using the attempted insert value in the where clause. If less than
2 allow the insert, otherwise display the error.

  • Comparing two column values with multiple Parameter in VC (Indicator)

    Hello VC experts,
    GM
I would like to know about how to indicate multiple parameter with different colour in same column and also comparing value with adjucent column.
    Eg.
    Parameters     ,,           Column1      ,,              Column 2       ,,            Indicator (Image)
    Parameter 1    ,,             a1             ,,                     b1          ,,                  RED
    Parameter 2    ,,            a2              ,,                     b2          ,,                  GREEN
    Parameter 3    ,,            a3              ,,                     b3          ,,
    Parameter 4    ,,            a4              ,,                     b4          ,,
In case I  : Parameter -1     Column 1 ( value)  =  more is better compared to Column 2
In case II : Parameter -2     Column 1 ( value)  =  Less is better compared to Column 2
How to acheive this  INDICATOR based value comparison.

    Hi
This is possible in VC. You have to insert 'Image' UI in the required table. Add images of alert through 'Image manager' (Tools tab). Select relevant images of alert in 'Image' UI. In display there is option for 'visibility condition' there you enter condition (like if greater than ,true, false).
Like wise you can add multiple 'Image' UIs in that table & based on visibility conditions you will get these alert images in table.

  • Hide coupled numeric value in Publisher

    Hi everybody,
is there any possibility to hide a coupled numeric value (only one of the two) in Publisher?
For instance, I have coupled numeric value with 5g/10lb. I want to display on the metric value.

    Hi Christian,
I believe that it is not possible to achieve this requirement with current MDM Publisher.

  • Transfer value from one VI to another over a network?

    Hi,
What is the best/easiest way to send a numeric value from one VI to another over a LAN.  I only need one number to be sent every time the first vi is run which won't be that many, I then need to run the other VI and access that data.  I could save the value to file and then open that file from the other VI, this I thought is a bit messy and wondered if LabVIEW accommodates this through property nodes etc rather than writing to file?  Also by saving to file etc the reading VI needs to execute after the first one has written obviously, this could cause timing issues and to have something like a property node would be far better.
    Many Thanks

Use DataSockets. The simplest, although not necessarily the fastest.
    Check out the examples.
Basically, you "connect" a control on one VI (on one machine) to another control (possibly on different VI, possibly on different machine.

  • Store an encrypted numeric value and make the unencrypted value visible to just some users in Apex

I'm looking for a way to store an encypted numeric value in one field in a table (so that it appears encrypted even to a DBA) and to display the unencypted value in Apex forms and interactive reports for some users but not others.
Any suggestions as to how I could achieve this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Martin

    Try these documents:
Using Column Masking to Display Sensitive Columns as NULL Values
Using VPD in an APEX Application
Securing Stored Data Using Transparent Data Encryption
The features you request are Database Features.
You could use DBMS_CRYPTO for data encryption instead of TDE, but you will have to create a package for your insert, update, deletes along with a view that allows decryption based on v('APP_USER').
Also, you won't be able to search on that column if you use DBMS_CRYPTO.

  • How to display 'Alpha numeric values' in lower character?

    Hi,
We have 'Alpha numeric value' in one column and i need to display alphabets in lower character.
    I tried but throwing error.

    SMMK94 - 21-AUG-08

I want 'HOST_NM' to be displayed in lower value.
    I need o/p like 'smmk94'.
    Any idea?

Where did you find the TO_LOWER function? Can you

  • Type conversion from numeric value to time format

    hi guys,
i hvae column called (Time in seconds).i need to convert the numeric value of one column into time format HH:MM:SS. for example 3012 =00:50:12.
how can i proceed the same in the front end.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Nandu

    Hi..
here is the code.. (assuming 10000 in the following code is your seconds, replace that with your value...)
    cast(TRUNCATE(10000/3600,0) as varchar(2)) || ' : ' || cast(TRUNCATE(60*((10000/3600)-(TRUNCATE(10000/3600,0))),0) as varchar(2)) || ' : ' ||cast(60*((60*((10000/3600)-(TRUNCATE(10000/3600,0))))-(TRUNCATE(60*((10000/3600)-(TRUNCATE(10000/3600,0))),0))) as varchar(2)) You can also use floor instead of truncate...
Above will give only h:m:s format if hh (or) mm (or) ss are between 0 and 9. So, you may need to add case when condition before each concatenation: if hh is between 0 and 9 then need to concatenate with 0 else the same code...
    Thanks...

  • How to integrate existing value into one in hierarchy char.

I have a char. hierarchy call ZCOMP_CODE. ZLEADER is compounding with ZCOUNTRY.
The master data in ZCOMP_CODE looks like
    ZLEADER;ZCOMP_CODE;
    010;1000;
    010;1001;
    010;1002;
    020;1000;
    021;1000;
In query  I have char. ZCOMP_CODE in row and one KF ZREVENUE in column. Previously we calculated ZLEADER 010,020,021 separately. But, now I want to calculated ZLEADER 020 and 021 together. Does anyone know how to integrate two existing value into one and display it in query? Do I need to create a new hierarchy node for including 020,021?
    Thanks!
    rajatina.

don't know how you can achieve this in the query...
but in the workbench there's a solution. Just add a routine in the transformation to change 021 to 020.
if you need to have still the 021 info somewhere, create a ZCOMPANY_CODE2 where you store only the values needed (010, 020)... use this company code as hierarchy in the report, and use the other company code for displaying the 021...
    hope it's clear,
    M.

  • Parameter to pull all numeric values

    I'm using Report Builder 3.0, 2008 R2.
I have the following column in my dataset:
    Range = Left(City,1)
...the results are null, numeric, and alpha values.
In the parameter (@CityRange), I have values from A - Z...but I want to add another to pull all the non-alphabetic range.
How do I do this?  I attempted something similar to the "all" parameter but failed.
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi AzuDaioh,
If I understand correctly, you want to pull all values returned by Range to a parameter, then use this parameter to filter something. If in this scenario, we can add a calculated field to the dataset, then use the field values as the parameter available
values. For more details, please refer to the following steps:
Right-click the dataset to Add a Calculated Field with the expression below:
    Field Name: para
    Field Source: = Left(Fields!City.Value,1)
Set the Available value of the parameter to the para field of current dataset.
If you still need split the parameter to two parameters, one for alphabetic range, another for non-alphabetic range. We can specify 0-9 and “ ” values as the Available values of the second parameter.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • Two strings and a numeric value to write to a measurement file

Hi all, I need to write two string values and a number value to file. I made a basic VI showing what is needed. I figured to cheat a little by sending my time stamp to the comment node. I then converted the id string to a decimal number and merged it to my numeric value. All is great with the output in Excel, accept my ID string dropped the last two digits and replaced them with a zero. Even if I used a numeric constant with this same value, it replaces the last to with zero's. The problem seems to reside with the write to measurement file VI. If I open it directly with wordpad it saves it as 2.602189E+8. Any ideas to save these three values?   Thanks
    Gerald

When you use one of the Express VIs, you are limited to what you can do. The Write to Measurement File expects to writing measurements (numerics) and not string constants so eveything gets converted to floating point. You could probably modify it but using the lower level file I/O functions is just as simple. Here's a modification. I put the file write inside the loop because I would assume you want every value written. With your example, you would only save the very last iteration. If you do only want to save the last result, then it can be suitably modified.

  • From two given tables, how do you fetch the values from two columns using values from one column(get values from col.A if col.A is not null and get values from col.B if col.A is null)?

From two given tables, how do you fetch the values from two columns using values from one column(get values from col.A if col.A is not null and get values from col.B if col.A is null)?

    Hi,
    Use NVL or COALESCE:
    NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
For more about NVL and COALESCE, see the SQL Language manual: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e26088/functions119.htm#sthref1310
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).

  • Use of layout when more than one parameter - Error Missing Parameter Values

    Hi,
Is it possible to use a crystal report which has more than one parameter as the layout for the bill of materials report.
    I have 3 parameters
           1. DocKey@       The Bill of Materials to be printed
           2. Number of levels to be printed
           3. type of levels to print.
When I try to print it gives me the error Missing Parameter Values.
I have tried changing the DocKey@ to CodeKey@ but the same error.
Does anyone now where to find a list of these tokens?
    Thanks
    Chris

I looked at the crystal report conversion to try to find what parameters it used and found none.
I have managed to create and use a crystal report to replace the production order using DocKey@ as the parameter.  This works within SAP.  However I have converted the system production order to crystal reports and from the converted report I cannot see any parameters at all.
How and where can you find out what paramters you need to use to replace any PLD report?  Several reports have multiple selection criteria before the report prints.  How can you find out what their tokens are called?  I am starting to pull my hair out.  I am getting great help from this forum, but do you know any documentation which actually explains this area.
    Thanks
    Chris
