Two projects, one module.

Experts,
We have a situation in which an ABAP project, Project A, has been ongoing for several months and has not yet been deployed to the production system.
A new high priority project, Project B, has come along which will involve changes in many of the same modules which have been modified for Project A.
The ABAP development team has been tasked with coming up with a way that Project B can be developed, tested and deployed to production independently of Project A. The problem is that Project A must also continue to be developed and tested during the same time-frame. We are not allowed to "back out" Project A by reverting the versions.
We are on 4.6c.
What does this community recommend as away to accomplish this?

The only time I have seen that warning is when the containment relationship does not have any public names defined ... An additional warning appears if a public name is defined for one direction but not the other.
Try the following ...
1.     Create new Project “ModuleTest”
2.     Add properties file to project – “ModuleTest_Properties”
3.     Open Properties File
4.     Add new entity – “TestEntity” using all defaults
5.     Edit TestEntity to set public name to “TE”
6.     Edit the automatically created attribute of TE to set the public name to “TE_ID”
7.     Select Build->Module from menu ... you should see the warning: “… cannot be exported because its containment relationship …” and another warning ...
8.     Double click on the containment warning message and it should take you to the relationship edit dialog for the automatically created (containment) relationship between global and TestEntity
9.     Specify a public name “TE_Containment” AND the reverse (public name) “TE_Containment_Reverse” and click OK
10.     Select Build->Module from menu again and no warnings should appear
If this works as expected and your policy model is producing warnings, then click on each warning to determine the source of the warning.

Flex: two projects, one OK, other POP-UP blocker

I created a sample application with Flex after compiling and saving runs OK with default IE browser.
I imported another application but before showing in IE a pop-up blocker shows up.
Is there any configuration I should include in one of the files to prevent this for the application imported? (There is no navigatetoURL in the application I imported)

By the way, my iPod Touch could only play lecture 1 of the Programming Paradigm course. All the remaining lectures starting from lecture 2 have the same problem of only audio plays but no video.

Two projects, One scratch disk.

I've been working on a project using FCE 3.5 and scratch disk Maxtor II 250G. Over 100 gigs still free on disk. Now I've captured footage and would like to download to the same drive. However, I did not partition when I began the entire process. Is my universe going to implode and my world come to a screeching halt if I download direct to the same hard drive? Would FCE recognize the projects and keep them separate according to the way I import? Thks!

The media captured inside each project will be in a separate folder in Capture Scratch with project name.

Split Project in two Projects

In one of my projects there are about 2000 pics made in two different countries. Because in Places view I always see both countries on the map, I decided to split the Project in two Projects - one for each country. How can I do this without losing the Places assignments? Thanks!

Each Image in your Library carries its own Places assignment. You can move any Image into any Project and it will retain its specific Places information.
All you need to do is select all of the Images you want to put in your new Project, and "File→New→Project" w. "Move selected items to new project" checked.
There are several ways to select the Images for just one or your two countries. If you need suggestions, post back (the best way depends a bit on your use of Places and other metadata).
Generally, users have found Aperture works better with Projects kept to fewer than 1,000 Images. This was the case when 3.0 first came out -- I haven't tested any later versions, as I stick with the generally recommended "One Project for each out-in-the-world Shoot" and I rarely bring back more than 500 exposures per shoot.
(For what it's worth -- the human world had a very different level of material sophistication -- Ansel Adams took 12 plates with him for a day's shooting expedition in Yosemite. Twelve shots for the day, including mis-takes.)

Two web app projects, one workspace, how?

First web app. JDev project has context root /app1, and second one /app2.
Which JDev files should be configured and how in order to enable dependency between these two web applications and test them together?
e.g. app1 provides login page and after successful login it provides link /app2/welcome.jsp to app2. When the session expires app2 redirects to /app1.

My question actually was not about compile time dependencies, but about run-time dependencies between two projects app1.jpr and app2.jpr.
First project has J2EE context root /app1 and the second one has context root /app2.
First project runs as http://localhost:8887/app1/login.jsp where user can login. After successful login it renders page with link to the page in the second project, e.g. http://localhost:8887/app2/welcome.jsp
When user clicks on this link it is supposed to transfer control to the second web application app2.
The problem is the first root context does not recognize the /app2 context. Only if you execute second project first it will start in its own root context which is /app2, but then it is not possible to use application app1, which must be executed first!?
I guess application.xml, orion.xml, web.xml etc. must be configured but don't know how

My first two thoughts
• Shared to Media Browser - BUT as Large or HD - try Medium !
• audio from iTunes - use to go silent
- in iTunes
- Create a new PlayList with needed audio
- BURN this as a standard Audio-CD (.aiff) - NOT .mp3
- use the files on this CD in Your Movie project - I ALWAYS DO - and only use .aiff ever - never .mp3'
My notes on this:
No audio on DVD disc.
Most common origin.
1. Imported audio from iTunes.
• In iTunes copy out as an Audio-CD .aiff (Same as played on standard Stereo CD - no .mp3)
• Use this in Your movie project
2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
(iM’08 & 09)
3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provoking it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
Minuscular - - 176x144
Mobile - - - - - 480x360
Medium - - - - 640x480
Large - - - - - - 720x540 960x540
HD - - - - - - - - 1280x720
4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
• Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)

Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies — except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format — that I have noticed.
7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
Before burning the DVD.
• Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
• Double click on the .img file
• Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
• In iDVD 08 - or - 09
• Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
• OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

I have a psc 2175 all-in-one. "Automatic Two Sided Printing Module Is Missing."

Whenever I try to print on both sides of the paper, I get this message:
Automatic Two Sided Printing Module is Missing."
There doesn't seem to be anywhere that a module would be inserted into this printer. Am I missing something here? Very confusing! Please help!

Via the control panel, find your printer and right-click it and choose "Printing Defaults..." From there click the Services tab and open the HP Toolbox. In there click the Configuration tab and un-check "Automatic Two-Sided Printing Module" and click "Apply". This will get back the dialog that tells you when it's time to turn your pages around.

How to open a registered oracle form in one module into another module?

I'm trying to learning some concept in Oracle forms and stuck with an issue and not able to find a solution, any help will be appreciated in this regards.
I want to know, can I open a registered form in oracle apps one module into the another module. For example, I have a form registered in Application Developer module and i want to use that form in Order Management or any other module. How I can achieve this.

Hi,
Can you tell me in which Application you have register your form, basically we need to register our custom form in our custom schema. For example our project is called XXPROJ the we will have our custom schema like XXPROJ.. In this all the custom form fmx and other reports will there.
So Register the form in the custom Application and then create a form function and then attach the form function to two menu. For example under payables and purchasing.
Just now i tried and its working fine, check the same and let me know if any issues

Will you record the time worked for each project and pay accordingly, or will you pay 3 & 8 hours fixed?
If the second one is the case, what comes to my mind is you can assign him in IT0008 a base salary with wage type PR01 and this would refer to the full-time project.
The the salary for the second projects may be given to the employee via IT0015 in terms of amount directly or hours.
However, this scenario has nothing to do with the project system module or timesheet data.

Can I have two projects open on Premiere Elements at the same time?
The reason I wanna do this is because I've trimmed many hours of clips in one project (One timeline) and I want to start a new project where I have a "clean" timeline and can add clips from the
first project (Cut and paste). Or how do I bring a trimmed clip from one project into another in a easy way?

Your question is in the Photoshop Elements forum. There is another forum for Premier Elements and this will probably be moved.
That said, the answer is that Premier Elements has not be designed with the ability to cut and paste from one project to another. The only "work around" is to "Publish&Share" to a best quality format that matches your project settings. You can control the output clips with the "work area bars". You can then add the new clip to the second project. The output rendering process can, at least in theory, reduce the picture quality. Depending on formats, settings and footage, it may not be noticeable.
There is a third party product called Clipmate that some say works, but not always with good results.

Pictures in two projects?

It's taken me a little while to figure out how to organize my library and now that I've figured it out, I'm cleaning up the database and trying to make sure that the photos I want in a yearly project are all there (i.e., all pictures from 2011 in one project). What I've noticed is that even though I thought that pictures were only able to be in one project in Aperture, I have the same images in two projects. My question is, which one is the Master (I've tried the referencing feature and it often tells me there is no reference) so I can delete the same images in a different project. Or can you tell me how to figure out if I indeed have duplicates in the library and that is why the same images is in one or more projects?

Are the duplicates the photos that say copy or is that a different version?
That will depend on your naming scheme when you imported the duplicate. But by defaultversions of an image will have "version" in their names. And edited images will show a badge, if you enable badge overlays.
In the example above the second image (from left) is an edited image and has the edited badge in the lower right corner. The third image is an aditional version of the same image - called version two.
You can enable the Metadata display from the "View" menu - "View > Metadata Display " and customize them (or from many more places).

Are you expecting project program related functionality. A program is a group of related projects linked together in a hierarchy. If you define the project as program then u can link multiple project under the program.

Solution Directory----Merging two projects in Solution

Dear Team,
I am working in Sol Man 4.0 SP 13.
we have created two projects in Sol Man & we have done our entire implementation thro Sol Man. Now the two projects are gone live.
Now we want to maintain "Solution Directory" merging these two projects.
Please guide me, what are all the primary inputs i have to collect from the customer in order to start this activity?
Note: I believe, based on the "Solution Directory" only our Business Process Monitoring works. Is it correct?

Whilst my instructions are lengthy, that is to give a full explanation of all the ins and outs. In your case the work will be little more than creating a parent and setting up your two existing projects as children.
It's a lot easier than trying to have one source project.

This depends on a few factors. Here are some. 1) Do you have the resources for multiple projects 2) Are project components dependent on the completion of other parts 3) What is the company tolerance for large implemenation versus step implementation.

Conflict of class-names in two projects

I have one workspace with two projects. On project is "used" by second project (via add libraries).
Problem: both projects have a package with the same name (system) and class with the same name (system.Session).
How to reference from project P1 to (P1)system.Session and (P2)system.Session together? >import system.Session< is insufficient... How to extend >import< for P1/P2?

Hi,
As the previous poster noted the easiest option would be to rename one of the classes, otherwise you can deal with by using a different class loader. Take a look at the javadoc in URLClassLoader for how to set up on. This will allow you to load the classes into a different namespace.
This interestingly enough allow you to have more than one instance of a Singleton in a java vm.
