UCCX: 8.02 (IPV6

Dear Gents,
I have the following problem on one of our client he has the below:
1- Cisco CUCM 8.02 and UCCX 8.02
2- IP Phones 7960
3- Cisco Agents desktop
4- Agents are using extension mobility
The problem is that the users login to a phone using extension mobility and when he tries to login to the Cisco Agent desktop we get the following error: CAD cannot login user due that IPV6 is not supported on Cisco Agent Desktop knowing that we are only using IPV4. if we reset the IP Phone, then the user will be able to login successfully. this problem happens from time to time suddenly.
Did anyone faced this problem before?
Regards,

This workaround did work for me. It didn't work at first, but I rebooted the phone and it worked after the reboot. It may have worked by just having the user log out and back into extension mobility.
Thanks,
Mark

  • UCCX 10.5 - Issue with triggers

    Dear all,
We have had a pretty bad issue with our UCCX 10.5, for a reason unknown the CTI Points that link our UCCX with CUCM were all unregistered in CUCM (10.5).
I tracked down the issue that it could have had something to do with IPv6 and fixing the IPv4 in the Common Device Configuration op the CTI Port. For some reason i wasn't able to change this manually because CUCM would complain about the naming (UCCX_7000), it seemed that the underscore was not allowed.
I decided to remove the Call Control Group under UCCX and make a new one, when i did remove it. I rebooted the UCCX cluster (2 servers) and all of my triggers are gone, i was able to add the CTI points and get them registered, but now the applications in UCCX have no trigger. Is there a fast way to assign the triggers or is it a manual process (193 applications).
We did upgrade this UCCX once and we still have the older version in OS admin, can it work that i change versions back to 9.X and get my configuration back and then perform a new upgrade to 10.5?
Oh yes it was also a very bad moment to find out that the backup wasn't running properly since someone had messed with the SFTP server and forgot to mention :(
    Could someone help me out

you need to add them manually.
Regarding CTI Route point registration with CUCM, let first explain how the communication goes on between them.
UCCX downloads the JTAPI client from CUCM, CCX Engine (RmCm and CM Telephony subsystems) controls JTAPI client, while CTIManager (JTAPI Provider) controls the server side. Agents' phones should be associated with RmCm user, while both CTI ports and Route Points should be associated with the JTAPI user (if it's HA deployment, then there will two JTAPI users; JTAPI_1 controls CTI RPs and CTI ports of the 1st server and JTAPI_2 conrols CTI RPs and CTI ports of the 2nd server).
if the CTI RP appears as Unregistered, then it should be associated correctly with JTAPI user, Usually I start with analyzing JTAPI logs from UCCX side especially if my customer wants root cause analysis.
    Thank you,
    Shadi

  • UCCX 10.5 - newly created agents can't login to CAD

    Hello,
After upgrading UCM 8.6 to 10.5 and UCCX 8.5 to 10.5 I can't add new agents. I have installed second UCCX and reused CTI and RMCM users, registered CIPC, created end-user, configured IPCC extension and set CIPC in controlled devices on end user and rmcm user. DN is not a shared line. When I try to login to CAD it asks to associate the phone with RM JTAPI provider user. Agents created before upgrade works fine. I see the following traces:

I have tried to disassociate and associate the phone with rmcm user and even rebooted UCCX, how can i troubleshoot this problem furher?
I use IPv4 only, what means line 120654, is it normal?
    Regards,
    Maxim

I have installed second UCCX and reused CTI and RMCM users,
It sounds like the upgrade is irrelevant here, and what we're really troubleshooting is your second UCCX installation which is using the same accounts as your first UCCX installation.
Of course, I've been around long enough to know that communication breakdowns are common, and you may have not meant that.
For example, maybe what you meant was, you added an HA node?  But if not, and you really installed a new instance while reusing the existing credentials, I would suggest creating new app users for your new UCCX and not sharing them.
PS It's very hard for me to read your log snippet with the black background.  Could you edit your post and remove the formatting please?  Thanks.

  • CCX 8.5.1.11002-22 CAD "cannot log in because the phone is IPV6-enabled" No mobility.

    CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2
    CCX 8.5.1.11002-22
After upgrade from CM 8.6.1 and CCX 8.5.1000XX the CAD would not login. Mobility is not enabled.
After reading the blogs changed the phone profile to IPV4 only and reset all  the phone.
This fixed most of the phones but one would not work. Phone is associated with the user.
    WinXP IPV4 only.
Associated user to the phone seems to have fixed it for now.
Has anyone else seen this? Especially without mobility? Seems like the bug CSCti18636 is back and spreading.

    Hello Chris,
I have the exact same problem with the same versions of CUCM and UCCX. We are not using extension mobility for the agents (the phones are however enabled for EM).
We receive the ipv6 error message on CAD. When we force the phones to use IPv4 only (from the common configuration profile) and reset them, it works back.
At this time, we don't have phones where this workaround does not work.
The workaround for the bugID CSCtk00173 is inefficient because the CRS Engine was already restarted several times after the upgrade from 8.0.
Both bugs seem fixed in the current versions we are running, is there another root cause?

  • How can I disable 1142N from providing IPv6 access ?

subject says it all, I failed to find the command in configuration..

    Hi Andre,
As per my knowledge, you cant disable from ur AP.
Ipv6 is currently not support on any of the Cisco AP's in autonomous mode. However, they will be able to pass ipv6 traffic.
May be newer IOS version like : Cisco IOS Release 15.2(4)JA supports IPv6 protocols

  • PMTU discovery in IPv6 based on IPV6_RECVPATHMTU in Solaris 10

Our application works with raw sockets and needs to discover PMTU of IPv6 paths.
According to the RFC-3542 (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3542, section 11) the socket option IPV6_RECVPATHMTU allows applications to know about the change of path MTU by receipt of new ancillary data item (IPV6_PATHMTU) which is delivered to recvmsg() without any actual data. Following construction should be used to enable this option:
        int  on = 1;
setsockopt(fd, IPPROTO_IPV6, IPV6_RECVPATHMTU, &on, sizeof(on));In the online Sun documentation I found that this socket option is supported since Solaris 10 (http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-5177/ip6-7p).
However, in our test this socket option appears to be not working. After decrease of the PMTU via ifconfig and sending a big enough packet an ICMP (Packet Too Big) is received but there is no event with ancillary data item on the socket.
One peculiarity that may be essential is that our application binds to a specific port in a raw socket (i.e. to IP address : port pair).
Does anyone have information if the IPV6_RECVPATHMTU socket option is really supported in Solaris 10?
Probably, ICMP should be off to be able to receive this event with ancillary data on the socket?
Will appreciate any ideas how to make it working.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike.

    Hi,
I have a Sunfire V100 - and have the exact same problem. The settings are correct; I have configure dual-NIC cards many times in the past - but this issue is simply eluding me. I can swap in a Linux machine in router / ip forwarding mode and there are no problems, but when I put back in the Sunfire I encounter the same issues you have.
In effect, packets from the LAN arrive at the NIC on the Solaris machine, but then don't get forwarded to the other NIC's gateway. I'm at a loss, but I have seen this problem pop-up (without answer) a half-dozen times in this forum alone, and multiple times on different support sites. Did you (or anyone) ever come across a solution for this? Is this not some easily overlooked yet possibly cryptic flag or variable that I've missed? Anyone?

  • UCCX 7.0.1SR5 to 8.0 upgrade while also adding LDAP integration for CUCM - what happens to agents and Historical Reporting data?

    Current State:
    •    I have a customer running CUCM 6.1 and UCCX 7.01SR5.  Currently their CUCM is *NOT* LDAP integrated and using local accounts only.  UCCX is AXL integrated to CUCM as usual and is pulling users from CUCM and using CUCM for login validation for CAD.
    •    The local user accounts in CUCM currently match the naming format in active directory (John Smith in CUCM is jsmith and John Smith is jsmith in AD)
    Goal:
    •    Upgrade software versions and migrate to new hardware for UCCX
    •    LDAP integrate the CUCM users
Desired Future State and Proposed Upgrade Method
Using the UCCX Pre Upgrade Tool (PUT), backup the current UCCX 7.01 server.
Then during a weekend maintenance window……
    •    Upgrade the CUCM cluster from 6.1 to 8.0 in 2 step process
    •    Integrate the CUCM cluster to corporate active directory (LDAP) - sync the same users that were present before, associate with physical phones, select the same ACD/UCCX line under the users settings as before
    •    Then build UCCX 8.0 server on new hardware and stop at the initial setup stage
    •    Restore the data from the UCCX PUT tool
    •    Continue setup per documentation
At this point does UCCX see these agents as the same as they were before?
Is the historical reporting data the same with regards to agent John Smith (local CUCM user) from last week and agent John Smith (LDAP imported CUCM user) from this week ?
I have the feeling that UCCX will see the agents as different almost as if there is a unique identifier that's used in addition to the simple user name.
We can simplify this question along these lines
Starting at the beginning with CUCM 6.1 (local users) and UCCX 7.01.  Let's say the customer decided to LDAP integrate the CUCM users and not upgrade any software.
If I follow the same steps with re-associating the users to devices and selecting the ACD/UCCX extension, what happens?
I would guess that UCCX would see all the users it knew about get deleted (making them inactive agents) and the see a whole group of new agents get created.
What would historical reporting show in this case?  A set of old agents and a set of new agents treated differently?
Has anyone run into this before?
Is my goal possible while keeping the agent configuration and HR data as it was before?

I was doing some more research looking at the DB schema for UCCX 8.
Looking at the Resource table in UCCX, it looks like there is primary key that represents each user.
My question, is this key replicated from CUCM or created locally when the user is imported into UCCX?
How does UCCX determine if user account jsmith in CUCM, when it’s a local account, is different than user account jsmith in CUCM that is LDAP imported?
Would it be possible (with TAC's help most likely) to edit this field back to the previous values so that AQM and historical reporting would think the user accounts are the same?
    Database table name: Resource
The Unified CCX system creates a new record in the Resource table when the Unified CCX system retrieves agent information from the Unified CM.
A Resource record contains information about the resource (agent). One such record exists for each active and inactive resource. When a resource is deleted, the old record is flagged as inactive; when a resource is updated, a new record is created and the old one is flagged as inactive.

  • UCCX upgrade 5.0 to 9.0

    Hello,
We are planning an UCCX upgrade from 5.0 to 9.0 on a UCS server. We're going to do a fresh install, and I would like to know if we will be able to use the old scripts and prompts on the new version, or will we have to build the scripts from scratch. If anybody has had a similar experience, I would appreciate the advice.
    Best regards,
    Ivana

Yes!  Scripts and prompts from older versions work on newer versions as well.  The opposite is not true however, so if you upgrade to UCCX 9x, and need to roll back for some reason, your scripts from the UCCX 9x will not work on UCCX 5x.  Not that I think your upgrade wont work, or that you couldn't just restore from a UCCX 5x backup though.  I'm just covering both scenarios here.
One thing to note, in UCCX versions 7x and lower, people could script incorrectly, and it would still work.  However, starting in UCCX 8x, there are additional restrictions and security measures in place, which will make those scripts fail.  Be sure to do your testing of all scripts before going live on UCCX 9x.  One of the major offenders of this is using the Write Document step to write files to the local C:\.  So, if you open all of your scripts, and do a CTRL+F "Write Document", to find this step, you may be able to correct it now, before you even go through the upgrade.

  • Migrate custom reports UCCX 8.0 to 9.0 issue

    Dear all,
We migrated UCCX 8.0 to the new UCCX 9.0. After the migration the customized reports (designed with old version of Crystal Reports) not work in the new CCX Historical Reports 9.0.
Any idea or procedure to migrate easy the customized reports from UCCX 8.0 to 9.0 without re-design the report with Crystal Reports 11?
    Thanks so much!

The advice I have seen in this forum, many times, is that you do NOT have Acrobat and Reader installed together, since some components are the same (same module name?) and installing Reader causes problems for Acrobat

  • Agents cannot login in UCCX 8.5

    Hi All,
I have UCCX 8.5, once the Agents want to login they get the following error:
"Login failed due to a configuration error. Please ask you system  administrator to associate your phone with the RM JTAPI Provider user ID  according to the instructions in the admininstrator  guide".
I already added the MAC address of the Phone to RM Application User, but no luck?
    aany idea?

The issue is fixed by restarting Primary/Secondary UCCX servers( which are on the UCS).
However, it still takes long for the Agent to login.

  • UCCX forward to voicemail with additional information

    Hi ,
I'm just looking some other precision about the following question .
I will deploy a script with several languages and if no agent are logged or if we are on closed state. then to send the caller to unity voicemail . On this one there is no issues to perform the script .
My question is the following :
As all my agents are sharing the same CSQ and as we are working with skills ( languages skills ) is possible when the UCCX will forward the call to unity voicemail , to send also the language information collected on the menu via the variable to Unity and push this information into the subject as my agent will use voicemail to email to read/listen their voicemail.
I don't see any way how Unity can handle this information as we want to preserve also the caller identification ( if it was not the case , I was may be able to change the caller id in UCCX so that agents can look at the caller id to know which language is the voicemail )
The other way that I can see is to have 2 voicemail depending the languages and in Exchange/Unity to make an automatic forward decision from a voicemail to the other voicemail and try to present the information of forwarding ( ex: FW from Language_A - Caller ID )
Have you already encountered this question ?
    Many thanks
    Olivier

I would setup a mailbox for each language and send it to the appropriate mailbox based on the language in UCCX.
If you REALLY wanted all of the messages with different languages to show up in one mailbox, you could use Forward Routing Rules in Unity Connection to change the language of the call based on extension number and send it to one mailbox with multiple language greetings recorded.  Personally, I would separate them out.

  • Direct Access on Windows Server 2012 R2 and IPV6

I have a question about IPV6 and Direct Access in Server 2012 R2. Without using UAG is it still mandatory to have IPV6 enabled in the intranet?
Kristopher Turner | Not the brightest bulb but by far not the dimmest bulb.

    Hi,
DirectAccess uses IPv6 with IPsec to create a secure connection between DirectAccess client computers and the internal corporate network.
However, DirectAccess does not necessarily require connectivity to the IPv6 Internet or native IPv6 support on internal networks. Instead, it automatically configures and uses IPv6 transition technologies to tunnel IPv6 traffic across the IPv4 Internet (6to4,
Teredo, IP-HTTPS) and across your IPv4-only intranet (NAT64 or ISATAP).
For detailed information, please view the link below,
