  • CTI route point and CTI ports not registering - UCCX 10.5 and CUCM 10.5 - PARTIAL SERVICE

I'm trying to integrate CUCM 10.5 and UCCX 10.5.
For some reason CTI route point and CTI ports are not registering on the CUCM and the status of the UCCX is "PARTIAL SERVICE".
On the UCCX Cisco Unified CCX Engine is in status "PARTIAL SERVICE" and the Unified CM Telephony Subsystem shows status "OUT OF SERVICE".
I tried with completely new installation of UCCX twice and got the same result twice.
But when I tried integrating UCCX 10 with the same CUCM 10.5 from above everything works fine and all the ports are registering right away.
In all the cases I have done the same configuration.
The versions of CUCM is 10.5.2.10000-5.
The version of UCCX is 10.5.1.10000-24.
The version of UCCX 10 with which it works fine is 10.0.1.11001-37.
Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem?

No I haven't. Unfortunately I don't have a 32bit Excel at the moment to try.
Can you please tell me this: I'm installing a new BE6000 system that came with this problematic version of UCCX (10.5.1.10000-24). I have been testing during the weekend with 3 versions of UCCX:
    -10.0.1.11001-37
    -10.6.1.10000-39 and
    -10.5.1.10000-24
I got the best results with version 10.0.
Can I install that version (10.0) in BE6000 instead of the one that came preinstalled (10.5.1)?
This is my first BE6000 installation and I'm not sure if this is OK?
I installed a newer version of CUCM than the one that came preinstalled because I hit bug CSCup60269 but I'm not sure If I can go to a lower version for CCX.

  • UCCX IPIVR 7 Editor in partial service

    Hi,
    Anybody got any pointers on:
    1) Why the UCCX engine stays in partial service when the UCCX editor is the only item showing as not runing. Surely the editor is only run when required so shouldn't impact the engine status?
    2) When the editor is run up, the engine stills stays in Partial Service as the Editot Bootstrap Manager goes into partial service. I've looked at the MEDT log file with debugging enabled and all I can see is that the engine is waiting for the bootstrap manager to move out of partial sercice.

Hopefully I have my answer to this question.
The editor itself has no impact in the status of the engine, which is what I had expected/hoped ... so it a red herring in my case an not relevant. The reason I have partial service in this scenario is because of bug ID CSCtb77537. I have yet to confirm 100% this is the case as I need to upgrtade the CUCM the 7.1.3 SU2 to confirm it fixes the issue.

  • UCCX:Secondary node is in partial service & testing the HA mode

    Hi,
Running UCCX 8.5 in HA mode.
Primary UCCX services are INSERVICE status, but in Secondary UCCX service status (UCCX engine ans subsystem)shows PARTIAL SERVICE.
Let me know how to make it INSERVICE.
Also let me know any procedure to test the HA mode is working fine or not!!!
    Help me out!!
    Thanks & Regards,
    Krishna

    Hi,
Please expand the Engine under the arrow and check as to which subsystem is in partial service, this will help determine.
-Also make sure to turn on the engine debugging under UCCX serviceability.
Restart the servers during a maintenance window
-Collect the logs from the RTMT tool
-As after the restart the MIVR LOGS should clearly display the cause for which subsystem is in partial service
-Some of the most common reasons can be :
    -Application manager service in partial
-CMT telephony subsystem might be in partial too
    Also is the setup HAOWAN?
Please send over the CUCM version as well.
Once I know which subsystem is in partial service,I can point you in the right direction
    Thanks,

  • Application manager / Partial service - UCCX 8.5

    Hello there,
Generally I am able to troubleshoot a subsystem on partial service looking at the MIVR logs but at this time I don't see anything.
I restart the UCCX engine and immediatly I download the logs, I see how everything is restarted but I don't see the reason why the app service remains in partial service.
Any idea with that? I attach the logs just in case. It's a HA configuration so I am attaching the logs from both servers.
    Thanks in advance

  • UCCX 8: Log Manager partial service

    Hi all,
I'm running UCCX v8.02 SU3 in HA mode. In my master server, the Log Manager service is always showing as partial service (even after UCCX Serviceability restart) but its working fine (In Service) in my slave server.
What process is this impacting when its in partial service? Which logs should i be analysing to determine the cause?
    Thanks!
    -JT-

I have the same issue except my master is fine and the secondary server shows Log Manager in Partial service.  TAC told me that was OK.  I would like a better answer.  My master server is on a MCS server and the secondary is on UCS VM platform.  Any help would be appreciated.

We are facing High uccx engine memory usage ,our system version uccx 8.2 su4,when ever this problem hapening we are facing all agent desktop failure also.Any one facing this same issue.Kindly attached RTMT screen shot.
    Thanks.

    Hi Renji,
This is a known defect CSCtn87921 and its caused by a memory leak in BIPPA service
-Please follow the workaround of restarting the BIPPA service from serviceability section on both servers if present
    -Check if the alert disappears
-It should have been fixed in SU4 but apparently not

    Hey Jasper,
Please do the following and attach the log for my review.
On the agent desktop, go to c:\program files\cisco\desktop\config
    Open agent.cfg in notepad
    Configure Threshold=OFF to Threshold=DEBUG
Close any version of agent desktop that's open on the computer, and relogin in. Once you are logged in and see partical service...  close the agent desktop program.
Please attach the log file for that time period to this post.  The log file is lcoated in
    c:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\log
Please confirm you are able to login and pull historical reports for the last 24 hours as well.

  • Application Manager in partial service, date format exception

Hi; I was pulling MIVR logs as I see the Application Manager is in partial service.  I see an exception of formating the date, but I'm not sure where to go to correct it or if that is even the right thing to focus on.  Kind of new to looking at these logs and they seem pretty daunting.  I took them righter after an Engine Restart, which usually fixes this partial service issue yet it still is quite large.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
The application manager in partial Service can be due to one of the following:
    1. An application is referencing a script that was deleted from the script management causing the application to be invalid.
    2. The script in itself is invalid.
When we have a system with multiple applications, it becomes really hard to find out the culprit application without the logs.
For this, the easiest way would be to login to Cisco Unified CCX Administration -- Tools -- Real Time Reporting.
Click on First tab and go to Applications.
It will show all the applications and then flag it as Valid -- True on the last column. If this is False, then we can proceed with checking that application.
Note: RTR is a tool highly dependent on JAVA. Check the JAVA version on CCX compatibility matrix and use the same. Else use IE with compatibility mode turned on for viewing this tool,

    Arundeep

  • CUCCX Partial Service

by mistake I added this post to Unified Communication Applications forum and it should here, below is what I wrote in my previous post
    =======================
    =======================
    Hi all,
I do not have enough experience in CUCCX , and I faced a problem today and it was solved but I just need to make sure that what I did was true.
I adjusted a script based on one of the predefined scripts in CUCCX and I uploaded to the server. the server becomes in Partial service and the application manager was out of service.
I was using CUCCX script editor which is installed on the server it self. and I saved the file (save as) to the same file where all other scripts are there and then the application manager became out of service. once I removed the file from the file the application manager went to in service and every thing is working fine.
    Does it make sense ?

The Script Repository is held within the database. The engine replicates the files contained within the repo to the local disk for faster execution at runtime. The user is supposed to interact only with the repo through the product UIs, not the file system copy. This rule isn't feasible to enforce in Windows but is in Linux (i.e. version 8.0 and above). Cisco has locked you out of the file system entirely, save one directory that scripts can use as a temp/work directory.
Additionally, you modified the contents of the system scripts folder. These files are never supposed to be modified, only used as templates. I'm not at all surprised that the engine crashed when you changed them.
Going forward you can open the icd.aef from within the editor (File > New, choose ICD). Save the modified script to your desktop or another user-level folder. Finally, use the /appadmin UI to upload the script into the Script Repository and associate it to your application.

Thanks by advance for your help

    Hi.
Manager Manager is the controller of other Managers... File Manager, Document Manager, Script Manager, etc. If you expand Manager Manager which one of the Managers do you see in Partial or Out of Service? Based on that you would troubleshoot from there. For example if Document Manager is in Partial you need to make sure all of your XML documents are properly uploaded.
If you need TAC assistance to troubleshoot this the best thing for them is if you restart the CRS Engine amd confirm Manager Manager is still in partial service, if so provide the \program files\wfavvid\log\MIVR\ciscoMIVR.log covering the startup event.
    I hope this helps.

  • Cisco Unified CCX Reporting Server in Partial Service

I can't seem to find anything specific on this, so I'm hoping one of you can assist.
I have a client who is running UCCX 8.0(2) in failover HA, and they just noticed that one of their UCCX servers has the Control Center - Feature Service
Cisco Unified CCX Reporting Server in Partial Service.
The node that is reporting this to be in Partial Service is the standby node.
I was trying to compare with some other clients I have, but it appears they have actually deactivated this service, so I have nothing to judge against.  No other services Feature or Network are in Partial Service on either node.
Do you know if the node reporting this is a standby HA server, then should this service show as Partial Service.  The active node (Master) shows this service as IN SERVICE.
    Thanks!

I believe this is used for the mobile supervisor, that's the Iphone app.
It is disabled on all our systems. If you are not using the Iphone app I suggest you turn it off.

  • Alerting on IVR Partial Service

    Good morning all!
We have had recently a problem with the CCX Engine components going into partial service and causing problems with call routing.  What I have been trying to find out this morning was is there a way to trigger an email alert when the CCX Engine goes into partial.
I've pointed each IVR to a syslog server but don't think our cheap syslog can trigger an alert.  Is there a product that can work with the IVR to alert on its services?
    We run
    Cisco Application Administration - 7.0(1)SR04_Build443
    Package: Cisco Unified IP IVR
Thanks and have a great day!!

Hello and thanks for the reply!  You are using RTMT to setup alerts on the IP IVRs?  I have not looked into RTMT for that so I will give it a shot.  Thank you.

Cisco Unified CCX Engine go to PARTIAL SERVICE and after one or two days the IVR goes down no calls received.
    i have a ccx 7

    Hi Ahmed,
    Please elaborate on the issue.
Can you go to control center and let us know which service under CCX Engine goes into partial , causing the engine to go into partial.
A screenshot will be helpful. Also if its CM telephony service, I should recommend a data resync.

  • IPCC - One node in Partial Service

We have an IPCCX HA system where one server is in partial service, but all CTI ports  are correctly registered and are working, except for one.(RP 3008)
The logs show a problem with CTI RPs being out of service.
Additionally,I am using Cisco Contact Center Express  7.0(1)SR05_Build504   This contact Center is integrated with CUCM 7.1.3.30000-1.
As soon as I restart the server (IPCC), the problem is solved and it looks like nothing is wrong
Why did it failed ,Any idea?
    Thanks for your help.
    Logs attached .

    c.carrion,
One issue I see right off the bat is that your CUCM version isn't on the UCCX compatibility matrix for your release.  I've attached a copy below for your reference.  It is often seen in these cases that there are little "annoyances" that just come and go until you are on a fully supported release.  I would schedule an upgrade for your CUCM to get to 7.1.3.39200-4 which will be compatible.  From looking at the logs, I believe your root cause is the JTAPI versions just not meshing.  If you upgrade, this will resolve.
One other item you could check is to be sure that the NIC that is actually the primary NIC on UCCX has it's binding order first.  To see this, open the network section, select "Advanced" and look at the bindings order.  Also, verify things like speed/duplex, host files, etc.  Finally, you may try to run a Data Check from the CM Telephony section of UCCX and see if that identifies any issues.  Have this fix any issues found and see if that helps.  I hope this can point you in the right direction, let me know if you need further assistance.
