UCCX Undefined Prompt Syslog

Hi,
I am receiving syslog erros stating that my UCCX server has an undefind user or system prompt. I cannot find any reference to this prompt in any of my scripts, does anyone know how to tell what application/script is causing this message to be generated? Here is an extract from the MIVR log:

Hi,
Please check in the below path in the UCCX box,
'C:\Progra~1\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en_GB\PARTIALBOOKING\promptBlank
Looks like from the logs that you have Undefined user or system prompt here.
Also check if any of your existing scripts are pointing to this path.
Hope it helps,
Anand

    You will need to ask a more specific question on this forum. Generally speaking we won't hold your hand all the way through; this is free after all.
    There are some example scripts that you can use or reference: Cisco Contact Center Express Script Repository
    Beyond that, there are two Cisco classes offered by Learning Partners: UCCXD and UCCXA. They are - for better or worse - the best training available for the CCX product.

  • UCCX System Prompts

      Does a list exist of the system prompts included with the UCCX install, or is it in the documentation? You cannot explore the file system anymore on rls 8. My system is on 8.5.1 SU02

    There is some great information in a few older posts that should address your inquiry.

  • UCCX playing prompt to meetme conference bridge

    Hi,
    I'm creating a script to be in front of a meetme conference bridge
    1) collect meetme extension digits
    2) recording caller name
    3) if call redirect to meetme not successful:  opening the conference by pushing xml to a utility  IP Phone
    4) then redirect caller to the conference
    5) place a new call to meetme extension and play announcement + caller name to the new contact
    All is working well except play the announce and caller name
    No partition on extensions, same Region and Device-Pool.  G711ulaw used
    When placing the call to an Ip Phone the playing prompt and caller name works fine
    Tried on my lab CUCM: 8.6.2.22900-9 / UCCX: 8.5.1.11003-32  in fact it does work fine only once for the first try after reboot all.
    I tried it also on version 10 on dCloud:  same issue
    Conversations started on this item a few months or years ago I wonder if someone got it to work finally.
    Any idea ?

    Hi Alessio,
    No you have to create an EndUser having device association on the Ip Phone
    try this:
    java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream();
    // ex: XML=%3CCiscoIPPhoneExecute%3E%3CExecuteItem%20URL%3D%22Key%3ASoft3%22/%3E%3C/CiscoIPPhoneExecute%3E
    // ex: XML=<CiscoIPPhoneExecute>\n<ExecuteItem URL=\"Key:Soft3"\"/>\n</CiscoIPPhoneExecute>
    String pushXml= xmlToucheMeetMe;
    try {
    java.net.URL url = new java.net.URL(phoneUrl); //  http://10.5.0.202/CGI/Execute
      java.net.HttpURLConnection urlCon = (java.net.HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection();
      urlCon.setDoInput (true);
      urlCon.setDoOutput (true);
      urlCon.setUseCaches (false);
      urlCon.setFixedLengthStreamingMode(pushXml.length());
      urlCon.setRequestMethod("POST");
      urlCon.setRequestProperty("Content-Type","text/xml;charset=UTF-8");
    // Authentication:  user: MeetMe pwd: MeetMe35  chiffré Base64
      urlCon.setRequestProperty("Authorization","Basic TWVldE1lOk1lZXRNZTM1");
      urlCon.setRequestProperty("Accept", "*/*");
      java.io.DataOutputStream output = new java.io.DataOutputStream(urlCon.getOutputStream());
         output.writeBytes(pushXml);
         output.flush();
         output.close();
         java.io.DataInputStream input = new java.io.DataInputStream(urlCon.getInputStream());
         int bufSize = 4096; // buffer size, bytes
         byte[] bytesRead = new byte[bufSize];
         int bytesReadLength = 0;
         while(( bytesReadLength = input.read( bytesRead )) > 0 ) {
             baos.write(bytesRead,0,bytesReadLength);
         input.close();
         baos.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
        e.printStackTrace();
        return null;
    return new String(baos.toByteArray());

  • UCCX 7 Prompt playing issue

    Hello everyone.
    I have UCCX 7 SR 5 running with CCM 7.1.3. The issue is that 1-2 month ago I deployed a script that plays prompts, connects callersto the agents, etc..Yesturday we noticed that the strange things happen - some prompts does not play at all, some play with noice in the background. After uploading prompts again issue gets out. I wonder why it's happening and could happen again?
    Tnx

    Hi Ruslan,
    Its always a better practice of refreshing the prompt \ grammer \script\ application management pages in case you do any changes to any one of them or referencing to these pages.
    Checking the logs (MIVR\MADM) will give you a better idea why th eprompt was not getting played.
    It usually doesn't happen, in case if you hit this again collect the logs (with the exact time stamp and call flow) and keep it aside so that you can follow it up with the Cisco TAC.
    Hope it helps,
    Anand

  • UCCX System Prompt Multi Language Issues

    I have a Bilingual script running Spanish and English languages, the system is required to play Current date and Pricing and although the system was initially installed for EN_US, the customer wanted to add a second language option - ES_MX language.
    We modified the script, by adding the Menu option and Set Contact Info step for Spanish branch.
    All good, BUT Problem is after caller selects the menu option for Spanish, script plays spanish language until it gets to the System Prompt that is supposed to play back the Date of Today and Price for Today. It switches from Spanish to English, then goes back to Spanish and continues to play in Spanish.
    TAC recommended a reboot of the CCX engine, because they thought that the system is not refreshing the script when it comes to that particular code.
    Unfortunately that did not fix the issue.
    I also looked at these two links below:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2080962
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13933
    Is this a system limitation, has anyone ran into this issue before, what was the fix?

    Here is a screen shot of the relevant code
    Thank You!

  • Where can I find 30/60 sec MoH files?

    In UCCX 7 and prior, I could dig down into the wfavvid folders and find 60 second hold music, 30 second hold music, wav files for cardinal numbers, etc.  Now that it's a Linux appliance, is there any way for me to get ahold of these files?  Right now I mainly need the 30 or 60 second hold music file but I'm sure I'll want more going forward.

  • Question about reseting the time of day trigger.

    A little while back the college was running a promotion and at the last minuet they decided to stay open later then normal to server the needs of our students.  I reset the time of dayclosing time with the CCX editor and ga 6 the phone shut down when I had change it to 7:00.  I then rebooted our contact center servers so that the new close time would be active but in rebooting the 2 servers all the callers in queue were dropped.  Is there a way to change  the time of day trigger and rest it with out rebooting the servers?
    Thanks
    Eric

    Hi Eric,
    When you edit the UCCX scripts \ prompts \grammers \ applications, please refresh these pages from the UCCX Admin-> Application path.
    Yes, as the UCCX high Availability works in "Warm standby" modes it is expected that the calls in Queue will be dropped, where as the connected calls will continue at the cost of missing Call details.
    Hope it helps.

  • Specific Music Files Not Playing Using Shared Playlists

    I have over 3600 music files in my collection, and of those, about 44 will not play using the shared playlist on other machines. There is nothing between the files that is common that I can decipher. Some are *.m4a files, some are *.mp3 files. However, all will play in iTunes on the host machine and will play fine on the myriad of iPods that I have. If an attempt to play is made, the song information comes up in the heading on iTunes (song name, duration, album, etc...), but the song never starts playing. Any help or insight would be most appreciated.

    Hi
    What happens when an agent puts a caller on hold is nothing to do with the UCCX server, prompts on the UCCX server, etc...
    What is played is controlled by the 'User Hold Network Source' configured on the agent's line, handset, device pool etc; and which MoH server it is played from is determined by the MRGL assigned to the 'listening' device (e.g. gateway typically).

  • Customization AA script

    Hi,
    I am customizing aa.aef script for dial by name option in uccx 9.0. When we select dial by name option in aa.aef script and enter the wrong name to dial, script prompt that “ the name you have entered we can not find please press * for operator and press 0”, I need to change this prompt as it says press * and 0 both but I am not able to find how aa.aef script playing this prompt and taking user input to transfer call to operator.
    I tried changing some prompt but still same default prompt is playing.
    Regards,
    Dinesh Joshi

    I don't think you can.  There's just no facility to customize the UCCX system prompts.  And I'm not even going to recommend you modifying system files with a linux live CD.  That's just not something I can stand behind.

  • Maximum length of a prompt which can be recorded in UCCX ver 8.5?

    I have a customer who would like to be able to record company announcements via a script in UCCX and have it saved as a prompt.  Is there a time limit on the length of a prompt which can be recorded?

    Hi.
    As i checked just now,there is no problem with 86400 seconds value.
    So it depends i think most from your storage usage.
    Hope,attached script will be usefull for you.
    Good luck.

  • Is there any difference in the prompts of UCCX 7 (Windows based) and UCCX 9 (Linux based) ?

    Are the prompts for UCCX 7 (windows based) and UCCX 9 (Linux Based) are different ?
    There are no default prompts available in the script editor folder of UCCX 9.
    I have downloaded some prompts from the internet with .wav format, but those prompts are not working.
    Can someone tell me if the prompts are different and if they are really different, where to get those prompts then ?
    I have also attached the prompts i have downloaded from the internet.

    Nope, there's no difference.  UCCX uses either G711 or G729 encoded files.  You have to encode them first before you upload them.  UCCX will not encode them like CUCM does for MOH files.  In fact, you can use CUCM's MOH file encoding to encode your files for use within UCCX.
    Also, you will not see the system prompts on your workstation where you installed the script editor.
    What is it that you are trying to do?
