Unable to communicate from adapter engine to Integration engine

Hi,
I have a scenario as shown below.
Target PI->File sender CC->Soap Receiver CC->SOAP Sender CC->Source PI
The file is getting picked up using file sender CC but probably due to communication failure between file adapter and IE, the message is not showing up in SXMB_MONI.
What could be wrong here.

Hi
-->In ID from MENU->TOOLS->use Test Configuration to test your scenario.
-->You can understand where you get struck depend on that you can troubleshoot.
Thanks

    Regards

    HI Khanna
Check the SLD that Adapter Engine is insatlled and all the adapter has the metadata there.
Go to Transaction Code SXI_CACHE in the Inetgration Server(XI- ABAP stack) Then you can see the list of components.
Just have a look into Menu Bar - in there goto : GoTo->Adapter Engine Cache ( if the status is green - then it is correct-otherwise you need to refreshit.)
You just go thru mentioned document from service.sap.com/nw04
You will get the full info about that.

Just try with Visual Administrator to check the services for the adapter engine are running or not
All services starts with SAP XI..
    SAP XI AF Core
    SAP XI AF CPA Cache
    SAP XI AF Messaging
    SAP XI Adapter XI
    SAP XI AF Security
Check SAP note on CPACache- 741214 and also 824236.

  • Error: Unable to find any Adapter Engines

    Hi all,
I am trying to execute a very simple scenario.
A xml-file is read from a drive by the XI system.
    XI reads the values.
Another xml-file containing some parts of this info is written to another location.
I see that the file is read and removed.
However, when I check the monitoring I find follwing error message:
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

    </SAP:Error>
    Is there some configuration missing?
    We are running XI3.0 SP9.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards

    Hi Geert,
My first guess is that something is not configured correctly. Try checking if your adapter engine is registered in the SLD:
In a browser, goto http://host:port/sld. Choose Technical Landscape. Under Technical System Type, select Exchange Infrastructure. You should have an entry like:
    "Adapter Engine on cx1.cernum05"
If not, check the settings in Visual Administrator for the SLD Provider service and test the update from here.
Also check your receiver communication channel. Under Adapter Engine, it should say "Integration Server". If it says e.g. af.cx1.cernum05, your SLD has not been updated correctly.

    Thorsten

  • Problem posting message from adapter engine to IS

    Hello,
We experience the next problem. We use JMS sender adapter to post message into XI. Message comes into the adapter engine and tries to post it into integration server. http://<host>:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
When posting we get the (very generic) error:
    Received HTTP response code 500..
The Adapter engine does a retry every 5 minutes.
After the 3th retry most of the status of the message in the adapter engine is set to NON_DELIVERED.
However for what ever reason sometimes  the 2nd or 3th time the message does get processed to the IS.
Is there anyone who experienced similar problems or does anyone know a solution for this.
    tnx
    Emile

    Hi,
Is this the problem with JMS adapter or with any other Adapter.
<b>8000</b>, is this the same port in smicm-->services. B'cos sometimes people might have a different instance number even.

  • To read data from Adapter engine table

    Hello,
We have requirement to generate  a summary of report with number of messages success and failed in XI with failure reason
I understand that we have to get the count of message from IE and AE and integrate it.
Can anybody help to know in which table data from IE and AE is stored and how can we access it
Also, any other solution to get the summary of count of interfaces running
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Anu.
In the Adapter side (not visible by data dictionary), the tables are:
    XI_AF_MSG
    XI_AF_MSG_AUDIT
In the Integration Server, the tables are:
    SXMSPMAST or SXMSPMAST2
    SXMSPEMAS or SXMSEMAS2
    SXMSPVERS or SXMBPVERS2
    SXMSCLUP or SXMSCLUP2
    SXMSCLUR or SXMBCLUR2
    SXMSPERROR or SXMBPERRO2
    History
    SXMSPHIST or SXMPHIST2
The integration server tables can change if the configure delete procedure is active (it can be principal table 1 or 2).
It´s better to use the runtime workbench reports delivered by SAP.
    Regards.

  • Communication channel Adapter Engine

    Hi
I'm having problems identifying if a communication channel is working.
I've created a JDBC communication channel but was unable to select the adapter engine from the drop down list as the list was blank.
In the Runtime workbench  channel monitoring, the channel is not listed
    So 2 questions
where is the config so that the adapter engine can be selected for the communication channel
and what is the procedure to activate the communication channel so that it can be seen in channel monitoring
    all help gratefully received
    Geoff

    Hi,
You can monitoring your communication channel via :
    http://<hostname>:5<sysnum>00/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
In this monitoring, you can see if he is functional. You can start / stop manually this communication channel too.
If you want see if the communication channel is actived, you can go to Integration Builder -> You open your communication channel and in Advanced Tab : you can see if he is actived or not.

  • Cache Refresh for Adapter Engine is not working

    Hi,
our adaper engine is not working. At RTW no there are no channels visible and the button "Test Cache Connectivity" leads to a yellow icon for the adapter engine with the error text: "Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in process".
The error reason is at <i>http://<j2ee host>:<port>/CPACache/history.jsp</i> available: <i>com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPADirectoryCacheException: Couldn't open Directory URL (http://pixd1.digoff.no:55200/dir/hmi_cache_refresh_service/ext?method=CacheRefresh&mode=C&consumer=af.xd1.dat-dof-xi), due to: HTTP 403: Forbidden</i>
<b>The cache refreh request from adapter engine to directory gets an 403 error.</b> What is strange: No problem, to execute that request in a browser, i get the right message, no fault.

    - all system users have standard authorisations
    - reimport of SAP BASIS SWC

Any idea, how i can get the adapter engine working?

    Hi,
There are two ways to display the content of the CPA cache refresh.
    1. The Cache-Update Content-XML
Document can be stored in the Adapter Framework database (J2EE schema) for further analysis. Here you have to set the property in the J2EE Visual Administrator tool.
To do so, proceed as follows:
=>J2EE-service SAP XI AF CPA Cache
    => set property trackCacheUpdateXML= true
=> You can now display the cache update XML with the alias  CPACache
    => View Cache Update History
    => View Cache Update XML
    2. The content of the cache refresh from the Integration Directory intothe CPA cache can be written to an XML file: Here you have to set the property inthe J2EE Visual Administrator tool:
=>J2EE-service SAP XI AF CPA Cache
=> set property J2EE service SAP XI AF CPA Cache cacheUpdateDebugFile = true
=> the CPA cache refresh XML file will be in the server(0) directory search for the following file names:
=> value of the property cacheUpdateDebugFile.deltaif you intend to see the delta refresh accordingly and the value of the property cacheUpdateDebugFile.full if
you intend to see the full cache refresh content
Note: After your analysis, do not forget to reset the properties value to false.
You can delete the XML cache-
    refresh table: alias CPACache
    => View Cache Update History
    => Delete History
Also check out the user and its permission.

  • Split Mapping message IDs in Adapter Engine

  • CCMS Adapter Engine monitoring

    Hi,
CCMS has been configured in our land scape long back. this configuration gets data from adapter engine and display it. We need to modify this. When we checked the configuration all Integration engine errors are being gathered using standard MTE classes and respective auto reaction methods are set.

  • RFC adapter - AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR - no adapter engine

    Hello,
    have a strange error.
Our scenario connects two R/3 systems via RFC adapter (outbound / inbound) for an RFC in a standard R/3 function module SUSR_ZBV_GET_REMOTE_PROFILES.
    The RFC is synchronous.
When starting the RFC call from the sender system the error message in the trace is "exception while reading from SLD:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not exist".
    Message in RWB:
"Transmitting the message using connection http://abc038.ceu.test.com:8077/sap/xi/engine?type=entry failed, due to: XIServer:AE_DETAILS_GET_ERROR:Property sap_xiadapterservice.adapterType does not: Unable to find any Adapter Engines."
    - SLD connection is working
    - Vis.Admin.: no problems found
      (SAP RFC adapter active)
    - Component monitoring: no errors
    - all rfc connections checked: ok
Does anybody have an idea, how to fix that?
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hello Dirk and all posters,
We get the same problem just as you described.
We also see no entries in the sxi_cache part for the adapter engine which indicates a problem in getting AE metadata from the SLD.
I see we are all not alone so i believe SP12 is the cause for the problem.
We have another SP11 system that works well.
We tried all those things to understand the problem:
    1. look at the structure of the calsses maintained in the SLD to make sure the property "adapterType" exists.
    2. Checked the log of the SLD with level "Finest" to make sure the data for the property is sent - all OK.
    3. Try to completely delete SLD and reimport CIM 1.4 and CR content 2.0 - all the latest from the web - problem still exists.
    4. Put a huge trace on the RFC gateway in the ABAP engine to make sure all XML data is received from SLD server including specific proprty. all ok.
    5. Of course we made sure all caches are refreshed, access to SLD is performed all right (logs, traces).
    6. Try to disable SM59 entry: SAPSLDAPI and look at the trace in SXMB_MONI. It shows error of connection of course instead of the error of the non exsitene property. But it still shows the error for not getting the access data - so this is only a side affect of the real problem.
Now, as you can see we turned the system from inside out.
I beleive the problem is SAP's problem regarding the parsing of the COM model in the CIM client. I believe that if i could debug the actual abap that parses the XML in the ABAP WAS i would find the problem - i could'nt find a way of debugging the actual processing of a message in QRFC so i'm stuck here.
    - Does all of you who have the problem has SP12 ?
    - Does any one have an idea of anything else we can all check ?
Good luck for us all :->

  • Error in Adapter engine in RWB

    Hi,
I'm facing 2 type of issues in RWB,
Issue 1) Adapter Engine is in Red State in Component monitoring,
Error: Details for 'Is the Adapter Engine Running?'
Response from Adapter Engine: Fatal ArchiveJob (Archiving) failed.(Details: Code: MS.JOB.ARCHIVE; Location: com.sap.engine.messaging.impl.core.job.executor.ArchiveExecutor; Reason: java.io.IOException: The HTTP request of command "MODIFYPATH" did not reach the XMLDAS. This may indicate that the credentials for the HTTP destination have expired.; Time: 31.03.2011 00:00:05)Response from Adapter Engine: Fatal ArchiveJob (Archiving) failed.
    2) If I click, any one of the option like Communication Channel monitoring, Engine Status etc, I'm getting the error
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
It seems to be the URL to open these component(Communication Channel monitoring, Engine Status etc ) is wrong. Fromwhere the URL address is taken? Where we need check the host name??
I searched in sdn, but could not find any related topics.
Kindly help me resolve this issue ASAP.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Baskaran K

    Hi Baskaran,
For 1), did you check if the XML DAS communication user (used in destination "DASdefault") is configured correctly according to the documentation http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/43/68fac39a363d33e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm and is assigned to the "XMLDASSecurityRole" role?
And check if you have configured the rules for your Archiving job (Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine XIE -> Background Processing).
It seems the archiving does not work because of configuration issues.
An archiving job without rules means: all messages are relevant for archiving. The delete job will only delete messages which are not relevant for archiving. So it does not do anything in this system. It can lead to the database table keeps growing, if it's the case too.
You should check the archiving configuration so that the archiving job runs successfully.
If you do not want to archive the messages, please deactivate the archiving job. Then the delete job should clean the old messages with the next execution.
You may delete it straightly on the Background Processing.
For the 2), "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", try using the compatibility mode of your browser.

    Caio Cagnani
